Magnimar, a city filled with crime and oppitunity. The players each have an issue, most of them being plagued with nightmares of the city in flames and others having more personal problems. The one man with all the answer, the notorious Irthir.

Here's the discussion thread and welcome all who got in. Soon you'll be entering Magnimar to meet the mysterious Ithir. No one is known about this man, in fact most people swear he goes by several descriptions making him impossible to pinpoint.

Working on the opening now. Just got some new ideas to start up with. You each have your invite and on it is a special symbol unique to you alone. The letter explains you must show this to the tavern owner to be allowed into the meeting area.

Congrats all, this should be fun.

Jaidoh sees the tavern. Not trusting people, something she learned growing up in Nidal, she enters the tavern and finds the darkest corner she can where she attempts to blend into the shadows.

Adding finishing touches to my character still, will post as soon as I am done.

Craft Check DC13 1d20 ⇒ 19 Untrained craft check to craft my wooden armor.

Edit
I would like to purchase Shoanti Barbarian Chew out of Adventurer's Armory under 'Black market items' I figure I know enough to find it in the woods, it is 1gp for it, but it does not specify number of uses per purchase in either the description or the chart listing, looking for DM input.

Added a bit more description to my background, imagine my characters helmet has stag horns not ram horns.

@Jaidoh, According to what is written in your feats/Stats/Abilities sections your CMD should be 11 not 17

Master of Gaming and Grognardia Current map

Well due to the nature of it I believe you're meant to chew it so I'd guess 1 use per purchase as it's quite cheap. might be someone else who asked this online of d20pfsrd might have better info.

Also, can's you buy your wooden armour?

Yes, but in my back ground I stated that I crafted it and the DC was so low I figured I may as well. Also it fits with the character that he would craft as much as he possibly can for himself.

CMD fixed, forgot to change that from the character I copied the character sheet from.

Rabe, good call on the invulnerable rager build. I'm playing it in a live game and its pretty much the most badass character I've ever played.
Let me know if anything about my character sheet isn't clear.
Also IF for some reason I don't post for a bit just move on and assume that I go along with the party's decisions. I hate having to wait for other's myself so I'm hoping that the rest of you would agree to such a thing.
If we are in combat and I don't post: I'll hit the bad guy closest to me and until he/she is dead or I'm dead.
We all have legitimate reasons for not posting. Not trying to sound like a jerk. My wife is pregnant and I'll probably be unable to post when she goes into labor.

If you have the materials and everything for the crafting then I'll allow it.

I see. Don't worry, I have a 24 hour rule on posting, usually extended at the weekends because I know people have other lives. I'll get around to PMing the other guys as they don't appear to have replied yet, just to nudge them awake.

Edit: Also pleace post in the game thread so the characters can meet up, interact and get to know eachother a little as they wait for the man to arrive.

Male Human Fighter 1

Where's everybody at?
I'm from Iowa originally but I've been living in East Asia for the last 8 years. Been in Korea for the last 6 years. Been gaming since university so about 12 years. I started with Rifts which has such fun world but such a lame system. Did 3rd and d20 for awhile and then played 4th for 2-3 years. Was really insulted when wizards decided to discontinue 4th (after not having created any decent adventure paths for it) and decided to stop converting 3.75 pathfinder stuff into 4e campaigns. Honestly the switch back to 3rd edition style play made my group way happier. Shorter combat meant there was time to develop stories.
I'm curious about where people are from, where they are and what systems they're into. Also curious about people's thoughts on D&D Next (I hate the name).

Male Oread Druid (Cave Druid) 1 HP 20/20 AC: 17/T11/FF16 F+4/R+2/W+6

I'm near Portsmouth, Hampshire on the south coast of England.
Now I play Pathfinder more or less exclusively as I'm down to 1 group game night a week and the rest is on the Paizo boards. Was partial to Earthdawn and like Cthuhlu, but don't play them anymore. Once played in a group that used to do campaigns rotating from 1st to 3rd of D&D, but they hate 3rd and Pathfinder, so don't play with them any more, cos I've always liked 3.5 and Pathfinder.

Never played 4th or D&D next, although I looked at the first playtest for it. Invested my time and effort into Pathfinder now and like the way it puts things together.

Been playing for about 10yrs now, I think.

Master of Gaming and Grognardia Current map

I'm in Southampton, Hampshire also on the south coast and in spitting distance of Utrath's player.

I started later in life than most of you, but am probably younger than most of you. I started playing D&D 3/3.5 edition when I was 17/18 (though always wanted to play since 14) with the DM as he moved down and our group has had many different members. the campaign was then converted to pathfinder when the DM and everyone had a good look at the rules and how much of a upgrade the players and monster got with it.

Issue is of course, the DM doesn't like high level and we're all about close to 20th level.

Not have any experience with any other pen & paper RPG, but I did play D&D 4th edition on their open gaming day when they held it at boarders and having met someone from uni in the aformentioned DM's group I have been playing various board games and such.

Before I was much a avid RPG player and still am. Been playing pathfinder for quite a few years now and feel I have a lot of the rules programmed into my brain, but of course make a mistake here and there.

As I mentioned age, I'm currently 24 (25 on september 11th) so as I said, most likely younger than you all.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

My role playing went Basic D&D --> AD&D --> PF. Had a bit of a skip in the middle. Might have played a little 2nd edition before I moved. I first played in about 1981 I think.

Living in Chicago at present.

Hp: 48, AC: 17, Touch: 12, Flat-footed: 15, F +6, Ref +7, W +2, Perception +8, Initiative+3

I live in Århus, Denmark, GMT +1

I started some 13 years ago with Vampire the Masquerade, tried Werewolf and Mage, moved from White wolf products to D&D 3.5 and onto 4th dipping my toes in the Warhammer system before discovering pathfinder, which is becoming one of my favourite systems.

Master of Gaming and Grognardia Current map

that is something I forgot. i used to play 40k when I was about 14 since I couldn't find a group or anything for D&D. Not to mention I really loved the cheesy Dungeons and Dragons TV show that was on.

Male AC 14 Init+2 Per+0 Fort +2 Ref +1 Will +2 CMD 12 Oracle

I am currently in Colorado Springs, CO. I have played since AD@D in the mid 80s. I have played most rpgs at least once, in the military I got into 40k and L5R. When I got back from deployment I was going to give 3.5 a try, my friends turned my on to Pathfinder instead.

Male Human Barbarian(Superstitious)4 Hp:50[58]/55[63] AC:17[15] T:12 FF:16 Fort:6 Ref:3 Will:2[4]

I currently live in SC, I work for the Navy so I move around a bit. Originally from San Diego, Ca. I have played a great many d20 style games. Alternity, Mage, Paranoia, D20 Modern, Dragon star (DnD in Spaaaaaaace!) and more. I also dabbled in Warhammer (Not 40k though), Mech warrior (Table top and computer) etc. So I have an extensive roleplaying/battle gaming background. On that note I am only 25 turning 26 in Dec, so also younger then most of the people that frequent these boards.

I have played most of the DnD editions AD&D, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0. I did not enjoy 4.0 but I don't think it is any better or worse then any other alternate d20 game out there. I pretty much play pathfinder exclusively these days because I dislike how Wizards is constantly 'updating' their game just so people have to buy a new edition/new books so they (Wizards) can keep shoveling money into their pockets.

Master of Gaming and Grognardia Current map

unfortauntly a lot of companies appear to be doing that. Look at EA.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

It's all about greed. Because you can never have too much money, otherwise someone might get more than you and buy stuff you could care less about, except for the fact that he has them.

Master of Gaming and Grognardia Current map

Unfortunately it's the way of the world. I lent my copy of RA3 to my brother and of course, he couldn't play it becasue when it was realeased they tried to beat the priates by having it only playable if you play it online.

Of course, pirates already had a copy out within 24 hours that worked fine.

I really liked the look of From Dust until I was told it had DRM and then steam got a huge amount of returns. Couldn't have been good for ubisoft. The rage was cause it didn't come with DRM, but one of the updates slipped it in slyly and thought people wouldn't notice.

Master of Gaming and Grognardia Current map

Not sure I mentioned it, but for group decisions I have it based on a majority vote so if 4 people suggest one direction, I go with that one rarther than waiting for every single person to post.

also 24 hour rule on combat so not to slow it up.

Hp: 48, AC: 17, Touch: 12, Flat-footed: 15, F +6, Ref +7, W +2, Perception +8, Initiative+3

I just got my hands on paths of the prestiege. If any of you want to head down a particular route from that book, you can run it by me. I'm hoping to have the campaign run to level 20 afterall and a bit early to think about for some classes, but just letting you know the option is there.

Also discuss with me if you want to make any last minute changes to your character after battle so you can gain one of these classes.

I think you misunderstood my action after looking at the map. You have me attacking one of the colorsprayed individuals. I guess you just assumed I was attacking those adjacent to me with out reading my post. I was attacking V28, the one on Rabe. I have a reach melee weapon. Since it is done we can just go with it I guess.

List done, the calculations have kept all the potions of CLW and Shield of Faith ...

Hopefully it will be fairly easy to maintain, hoping you can all update it if needs be...

Currently each persons share is 627.75gp, but if you want to take any of the items, if will change that total.

Take a look at the list and mark any items you want to take.

Hp: 48, AC: 17, Touch: 12, Flat-footed: 15, F +6, Ref +7, W +2, Perception +8, Initiative+3

I would like to buy a few thing before we sell the rest and we need to decide who buys the cloak of resistance. I'll pass as I would like the shield I asked about above more and need the money for that.

I buy the following:
.. 1 Chanshirt
.. 1 Shortbow
.. 40 Arrows

so in total 627.75gp -50gp -15gp -1gp = 561.75

Quote:

Rules:

A few ground rules because I’ve had bad experiences with party members arguing and going at each other’s throats over the split of treasure and so on so please read these rules before applying. If you complain later, don’t say I never stated them.

Treasure: This will be done as fair as possible with a system that I have found has worked flawlessly.
The sale value of items and combined value of coins gem's etc. comes to 3000 gold pieces.

Each player gets 500 gold to claim out of it.

Player X wants item Y, which costs 1,000 gold.

He takes the item, and everyone else gets 400 gold. He then 'owes' the additional 500 gold out of his next treasure share; simply put, he takes 500 less from the next share, without having to pay gold back in.

This means people can claim what they like and it works out balanced and fair to everyone. As long as loot keeps coming in it works.

Everything else are forum rules, don’t be a pain and argue out of character, so on and so forth, yadda, yadda. We’re all grownups so I think you know the rest.

Pulled directly from recruitment thread, I don't care personally if we decide to split treasure a different way but that is the rules the DM put down.

I must appologize, I have been without internet for some time, and will probably be so for a while. I was attending school on the GI bill, but for some unforseen reason they did not pay me for three months. I finally recieved back pay, but not befor lossing my appartment and falling so behind on bills that I started having things shut off. I plan on getting internet in my new place at some point, but until I can no longer continue this campaign. I am really sorry, it has been fun playing with you all.
