Azri, the Lich of Khalharum |
I'm planning to eventually pick up Enduring Armor (a Mythic ability - very respectable replacement for other armor bonuses) for Azri, so I don't need the Mistmail. ^^ Besides, she has easier healing, so nice defenses like that should go to people who may need it more. I don't really need/want any of those three items, so no claims here. ^^
Nigrum Ensis Halfblood |
None of the items are useful for Nigrum so he will pass. With his strength score carry stuff is not a problem just preference not to carry much. A share of the coin is fine.
A. Aibek |
Those points ideas are good, including Wonders. I would include a nature and population numbers/opinion barometers maybe not as points to use but as either information or levels needed to maintain something? Dunno, Aibek is very nature minded, hoping to plant acacia type trees and similar about this dry place...
On the shinies:
Mistmail looks cool, would be good either for us sneaky types if it can used for sneak attacks or protect casters? Not sure of its stats compared to chain shirt or barbed vest and Aibek will get Incorporeal Step once Shadow Lord so not sure how much use it would be to the witchwolf...
The eyepatch would be good to front line people with the once daily boost to speed or swim and the swim/climb. Not sure how Aibek, who is already pretty covered, would look with an eyepatch and would likely prefer full visuals.
Featherfall is always useful, might be best to whoever doesn't fly & has the lowest acrobatics or reflex?
Cash divided by 6 is 50pp, 762gp, 349sp unless we want to create a group/city pot?
Ayreth |
Thematically, Ayreth is interested in the Mistmail if no one else wants it. She is the daughter of a mist hag and gets an extra 5% concealment anytime she has partial or full concealment.
But, again, only if no one else is interested.
Yao Mihara |
Ayreth: With the concealment bonus in mind, I think you'll make better use of the Mistmail than I would, so you go ahead and pick it up. ;)
I'm loathe to pick up an armor that has a neat gimmick but more armor check penalty when I already have some fine armor of my own.
Selena Halfblood |
I'm not interest in any of the items, either. I fly, and I've got movement already covered.
For money, it should be 1265 GP each, right?
Selena Halfblood |
I thought we handed even those who talked, but asked the Andorans to go a little easier on them.
Azri, the Lich of Khalharum |
It was mostly this bit...
"So we have a deal?" Urisal tilted her head slightly. "We take the prisoners, you the ship and any who willingly part with information get a lighter sentence?"
...which made me figure that the talkers were indeed with us.
Yao Mihara |
Hm. I see the potential grammatical confusion.
I read that as:
"We take the prisoners" and
"you take the ship" and
"any (slavers) who willingly part with information get a lighter sentence".
We'll need Jon to clarify, heh.
Selena Halfblood |
Just went over the Melee Tactics Toolbox:
*.*
Jon, is retraining allowed? Grabbing style hasn't been doing a lot (and I'll probably never be able to get all the 3 feats to make it worth it), and the new Kraken style looks really cool: it's about hugging people. :D
And breaking their bones while you do that. D:
Selena Halfblood |
Ok, I'll consider to retrain or not! Maybe I'll put a thread in the advice forum: thinking really hard of a title that isn't Grappling Succubus: the Second Coming.
Also, for now the things we know need doing are:
-Fix the broken water pump
-Ship full of undead
-Finding a place for the former slaves
-Finding the Symbols of authority and talk to this nexus guy
-Infestation of the other isles: big scary spiders? Squatters?
Like we said in gameplay, I agree that fixing the pump is a priority.
Azri, the Lich of Khalharum |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
-New sails for our ships (to make them distinct from the slavers and stop scaring people we'd like to trade with). Send a message when we tell them to bring in new supplies that they should include the sails then, I suppose.
Also, Let's Get Kraken: A Succubus Needs Your Help.
Selena Halfblood |
Let's Get Kraken: A Succubus Needs Your Help
YES
Nigrum Ensis Halfblood |
I would say fix the broken pump is at the top. As for a place for the slaves, I don't think that's an issue from the post I have read. Plenty of empty buildings. Finding the symbols, well we will come across them as we move about the city so not really something we have to focus on as it's a by product of anything else we do with in the place. Infestations and general monster bashing we should take as it comes unless it's a direct problem. Personally I would just say we comb through each island until it's fully restored/claimed. Starting with the one that has the locals on it, I am sure it has not been fully explored. We should make sure it's clear and safe sense it has people on it.
Just my 2c. ;)
Yao Mihara |
Hey all, posting this to all my games because I don't have much time:
I'll be very busy today; I'm on the tail end of my software engineering studies, and today is the commitment ceremony for the Quebecois Engineers' Organization.
As you can guess, this will leave me little time for PbP.
See you all tomorrow!
Selena Halfblood |
Sorry if my posting has been a little sparse: I've had a couple of rough days last week. :)
I'm back and ready to grapple!
Yao Mihara |
Checking in to let you guys know I haven't vanished into the fog. My apologies for delaying, I'm a bit at a loss for where to hook Mihara in with the plot right now.
I don't like to ask, but if anyone has an idea, I'd love to hear it.
Azri, the Lich of Khalharum |
Azri's ready to... er... not sleep, but settle down for a few hours and do anything that needs doing. Also, I'll be unavailable Friday through Sunday, so feel free to bot her a bit if that's necessary. ^^
JonGarrett |
Noted. We seem to be going through a slight slow down, so don't worry unduly. I'll pick things up a little after the weekend, as I'm pretty worn out right now myself.
As for plot hooks...the main ones are rebuilding, looking for symbols, the freed slaves and information. There are also a few NPC's kicking around. If needs be I can have Mihara run into Xandrius. It's an experience.
Azri, the Lich of Khalharum |
My overall plan is "rest and regain abilities, then work on making sure people have water, and go on from there". So, if nothing else, there is a plan. XD
Yao Mihara |
If needs be I can have Mihara run into Xandrius. It's an experience.
That'd be nice. When I have more energy (tomorrow morning. It's been a long day), I'll have her go scout out the area, maybe she could run into him then.
Selena Halfblood |
Yeah, at first I was a little unsure of what to do: we went full sandbox from one day to the other!
It feels like when you're playing an RPG, get to one of the main cities, and start talking with everyone: 30 minutes after that, you open your Journal that now has sixteen new quests, 5 you picked up on the countryside and have to do in that city, and a couple of notes you wrote down of places that looked sketchy, and look at it perplexed for a couple of minutes because you don't know what to do first. I love it. :P
Is it late IC? If that isn't the case, we could split in two or three groups and go talk to some NPCs (i.e. Mihara and Aibek meet Xandrius, Azri and Ayreth bump into Jedd etc.): that way, we can resolve a couple of NPC interactions at the same time, and no one is left out. After we've finished talking, we can fast forward to the day after so that all 6 of us can go investigate the broken water pump.
What do you think?
Yao Mihara |
My apologies for not checking in today. It's been a long day and I've had a lot on my mind, with University almost finished.
I'll try and make up for it tomorrow.
JonGarrett |
Since we're having a slow patch, I've added some bits to the campaign info on NPC's and your current GM mandated quest lines.
I also want to add in some of the backstory of the game and start on the rules for how to run the city, so you guys can see them before you need to use them.
And I'll be shuffling things back into motion tomorrow, so get ready to post. Which reminds me...where are you all sleeping?
Yao Mihara |
Whew, sorry for that little hiatus of mine. It's been a rough couple of days. I'll pick back up with tomorrow's shuffle up.
I'm thinking it might be best to get a few rooms at the inn for now, until we can get actual residences.
Ayreth |
Ayreth is going with the temple.
Yao Mihara |
A heads up to all my groups: I'm entering some of the craziest three weeks of my studies. I'm only that much away from graduating, and I have a lot of work to do. My posting will likely be somewhat lackluster during that time, so please forgive me for this.
Feel free to bot me as needed.
Selena Halfblood |
No problems Foxy!
Ayreth |
Good luck on all that!
Ayreth |
Just because he doesn't say it, it doesn't mean that Nigrum hasn't got a lot of things to think about, too. Being a little less stiff will make him feel better!
Selena wants a guy to be less stiff?
Ayreth |
Are succubi ever satisfied?
Azri, the Lich of Khalharum |
If nothing else, I think they can feel satisfaction.
(Two years later, in the 'Grappling Succubus' thread)
("So then I managed to get Cthulhu's mouth thingies into a bind and the rest is gaming history...")
Yao Mihara |
I have one story I like to tell when grappling comes up. The tale of the gladiator known as Torment.
Torment was a gestalt Fighter/Monk specialized in grappling. (Had a prestige class on the Monk side.)
Torment once successfully caused an adult dragon to faint by putting it in a sleeper hold.
Torment was a fun character to play as.

Teasing stiff guys----> Fun
Having one of your friends be too stiff, unhealthily bottling up his emotions----> BadBeside, I mostly wanted to poke him to see what happens.
And Cthulu only has a +62 CMD against grapple, a 50% miss chance, and a DC 40 SoD aura. He's a chump. :P
Selena Halfblood |
The book isn't out yet, but it looks like the Unchained Rogue is retro compatible with most of the old Rogue Archetypes! Have you took a look at it, Mihara?
