Yao Mihara |
Oh, and I'm fine with that city building plan.
Hexblade Warlock or not, I'm sticking with my druid who wildshapes to act as his barbarian brother's mount.
Nigrum Ensis Halfblood |
Hexblade Warlock or not, I'm sticking with my druid who wildshapes to act as his barbarian brother's mount.
You know my mind went all over the place with that statement. Some of those thoughts are pretty funny in fact. I blame loony toons. xD
Ayreth |
Seems cool. I'd go greenhouse first for now, but am amenable either way.
Ayreth |
I might not be around for a few days. My cat, Emmitt, whom I based my familiar on, died, and I'm really messed up about it.
JonGarrett |
As Aibek mentioned...
That leaves 4 BP for the following...
Mihara would like to start building a Greenhouse [Requires 10BP total, gives +3 on economy and +2 on stability & delicious veg when done]Nigrum would like start to rebuild the Temple [Requires 10BP total, +2 stability, +2 to fame when done, we would each pick one deity for a Sandpoint Cathedral like space due to generous GM]
Aibek would like to finish fixing up the last of the ruined housing that was missed from month 2 but is fine with moving this to Month 4 if it can't be done now. [Need GM to check how much housing needs to be upgraded, I think it's 2 units which is 2 BP to upgrade but I'm not sure on that]. Reduces stability penalties, buffer for population, in character Aibek wants to get rid of all the slum housing. Aibek will suggest the town hall once all the housing is repaired [Requires 5 BP Total, adds +1 stability and aides communication and connection to Nexus].
Nigrum and Aibek would like to start devoting points to building the Sword Dragon. [With the a yet to be decided defense budget].
With Ayreth indisposed, I guess that leaves Azri to choose between the option
Azri, the Lich of Khalharum |
I'd go for the Greenhouse. Growing Economy/Stability BEFORE fame seems like a better long-term security move. Y'know, have enough wealth to build up our defenses before people catch on and realize we're rich. XD
JonGarrett |
OK, while I sort out down time...let's have a little chat.
Obviously, Serena has dropped out. Ayreth and Nigrum are, theoretically, returning. But right now the party is at three members.
Now, we have three choices;
Recruit a new character to replace Serena now, and leave it at that.
Recruit two new characters and if Nigrum and Ayreth both return (which I hope they do) accept seven folks running around.
Leave things and run a scenario light on mayhem until we're more sure of who and what is happening now.
I'm fine with all three, so I wanted to get your thoughts and feelings. Now is a good point, storywise, to introduce new characters with a connection to Nexus.
Yao Mihara |
I think I'd go for the light mayhem scenario to figure out what's happening.
I was a bit out of it myself for a while, and there are some things I need to catch up with. (Namely, equipment. When did we last divide stuff? Could someone help me figure out if I'm missing anything?)
Things are FINALLY calming down at work.
JonGarrett |
You could, but do I want to see Azri as the Mayhem? I'm not sure...Azri, cackling madly with power as she dissolves a bunch of people might send the wrong message.
I believe, gear wise, Mihara is up to date. We haven't done a big gear thing since the summer, since none of you plundered the enchanted rifles the robo-shootists were carrying.
I'm fine to work on the story that Ayreth and Nigrum are off being aiding Selena be an ambassador. I'll switch Selena to an NPC, barring her unlikely return.
I'll also see if I can get in touch with Ayreth and Nigrum. I know Ayreth was around a couple of weeks ago, and Nigrum has been consistently silent since his move (which suggests he's simply not hooked back into the InterWebs yet) but we'll see.
If it does turn out the party is down to three or four people, what will folks wanna do then?
Azri, the Lich of Khalharum |
Well, I'd certainly like to continue this game. XD Azri has a school she wants to (eventually) build. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy to go along with the group's preference.
Yao Mihara |
I'm quite fond of smaller groups, to be honest. It means that everyone gets a bit more focus time, especially on a plot-driven game like this.
A. Aibek |
Aibek doesn't really loot weapons as they can just make their own...they loot weird stuff like magical wool XD
Due to the 4 symbols control issue in game it would be good to have at least four of us around in character but I am not fussed on size otherwise. Like Azri, I certainly wish to continue as Aibek has things to resolve and do and I'm just generally enjoying the character & game. I mean, I could write that up as a short story/epilogue/prologue for Nurai, but I'd like some of it at least to eventually happen in game.
Ayreth |
I am around. It's mostly the holidays taking up time at the moment. Either way regarding recruiting is okay by me.
JonGarrett |
Not too much. Khalharum was part of a facility to built the Skycities of the Shory. Father is here to make use of that ability. The Deal is still going back after a month has passed. You guys are building a greenhouse. Aibek is planning to visit people.
Mostly, I'm being slow because of personal stuff (come on now, you all know the chorus by now!) due to a family death. In fairness this one is my estranged father, so I'm mostly 'eh, nevermind' to that bit but the fact my relatives are dropping like fat guys on a crossfit course has caused me a certain level of existential dread.
Nigrum Ensis Halfblood |
It's the holidays so I don't expect things to move at a breakneck pace. Considering all my stuff is still packed and the last time I looked up Nigrum's plans. Going to get back to you concerning him.
As for the whole death thing. Yeah I don't work out because I enjoy it, it's for my health like brushing my teeth mostly. I try to ignore that dread stuff, life keeps going so I don't want to stop cause that kinda gets you closer to the self fulfilling dread of death, if that makes any sense. Go to the party, be merry, and keep it moving. xP
Yao Mihara |
Christmas vacation just began for me, so I have that going.
"like fat guys on a crossfit course". There's an interesting metaphor. Try not to take it too hard, I know it's rough.

Nigrum Ensis Halfblood |
I would like for Nigrum to be given 2 BP to start investing in the Sword Dragon Crew this turn. Unless you guys want to give him more. ;P
Azri what are you thinking of making?
Azri, the Lich of Khalharum |
Anyone want something in particular? XD I feel like we've had time, at least, and I want to start making handy things.
Nigrum Ensis Halfblood |
Nigrum wouldn't mind a belt of strength and headband of wisdom. After all I won't stop until he can toss whole buildings and make the hulk look like a wimp. The headband is just for being a more useful general and you can never have to much will as a warrior type. ;D
Edit- Just noticed Nigrum doesn't even have a cloak of resistance. How have we ignored our gear this much at this level. xP
Nigrum Ensis Halfblood |
If my coinage is up to date, honestly I don't remember the last time we did a gear accounting/selling. I have enough coin on hand to pay for a cloak of resistance +1 (500 gp) and half of a belt of giant strength +2 (2000 gp) for a total of 1500 gp so I won't be taking up alot of your time. Just make sure my half done belt doesn't get lost. ;)
JonGarrett |
This was the last gear update you guys did. That plus whatever personal gear should be what you guys have.
And yeah, Azri's had a month to craft, give or take a few days.
A. Aibek |
Aibek is very happy about Ecstatic Khalharum and visiting merchants. Is there more chance of unusual not-so-shiny things as well as opportunities? Aibek will want to visit people (and talk to a particular construct) & shopping possibly for them. The witchwolf seems to like that as well as finding shadow-related stuff or holding out hope for plannar-thinning-finding&closinginemergency-stuff.
Not so happy about being spied on and very much not happy about people sneaking around at night. That's the Shadow Archon's bit XD After welcoming the Varisians, Aibek will want to make a plan of dealing with sneaky people in the city first before considering out of city telescope people.
For city stuff:
-- Need to decide on a defence budget so we can put regular stuff towards that, though it's nice to see what we've done so far is putting off some bad guys. 2 BP is fine as a start with me, we can increase as we finish other things.
-- Likely will want to put some points towards completing the greenhouse.
-- Aibek will put forward again to repair the last of ruined housing missed from month 2. GMJon needs to check how much is left. I have it as 2 units which is 2 BP to upgrade but I would like that to be checked so we don't miss houses again. Avoiding poor housing issues is important to the witchwolf.
Aibek doesn't have anything for Azri to craft yet, though that may be, as Nigrum put it, Aibek neglecting their gear... still need to decide how Aibek is going to repair & reenchant their old armour but there is likely other things Aibek could use that I should think and get recommendations on...
Aibek's mental to dos have been updated, to arrange some of the smaller things...
Azri, the Lich of Khalharum |
Well, looking things over, I think I'd like to make myself the basics. XD So, a Headband of Mental Prowess (Int, Cha) +2, a Ring of Protection +2, and a Belt of Incredible Dexterity +2, which I do have the money for. That should take up 11 days or so of crafting, and then three more days for Nigrum's order.
Still got two weeks worth of crafting time if anyone else wants to be a bit better at things. XD Or more, if you have something expensive you want - Azri has a great Spellcraft and can rush most items.
Ayreth |
Ring of Protection & Cloak of Resistance would be good.
Nigrum Ensis Halfblood |
If their is nothing else Nigrum will take up those two points left over. ;)
If I remember right I suggested 5 BP for a defense budget.
Now that coinage is updated. I'll take a belt of giant's strength +2, headband of inspired wisdom +2, and cloak of resistance +2. The total should be 6000 gp cost.
Yao Mihara |
Mihara currently has 4822.9 gp. Does that sound up to date? It seems a little low compared to Nigrum's 6000, so it's possible I've missed some loot.
If so, Mihara's looking for a +2 belt of dexterity and a cloak of resistance +2 as well. (For 4000 gp)
Azri, the Lich of Khalharum |
I'm pretty sure I can safely rush those items, so that should be easy enough. ^^
...
Of course, this all assumes we managed to get enough crafting materials shipped in. XD
Overlord Jon |
You each had 10295 gold and 5 copper each after your last selling spree, with some other items left over. If you guys didn't buy anything then you should have the same now.
And yes, you already have most of the materials you need in various places. In this case the cost is more getting them somewhere safe enough to craft with or guards for the time crafting than buying them outright.
