Azri, the Lich of Khalharum |
Mythic Tier 2:
Auto: Amazing Initiative
Ability Upgrade: Int +2
Path Ability: Legendary Item (Archon Stave - Returning and Upgradable)
@GM: How do you interpret the Upgradable ability, anyway? XD For example, if I wanted to add non Staff/Weapon effects to it, would that be a 'greater' version? Mostly, I'm just angling to create a really rocking staff with a variety of fun bonus abilities. XD I dunno what its normal level-based growth will be, so I plan to focus on stuff OTHER than enhancement bonuses and whatnot. ...I might go for something like 'adding the effects of slotted items prevents Azri from wearing them', so if she adds a neck power (or several) to her staff, she can't wear such things anymore... that seems like a fair trade-off. If that's not workable... I might switch Upgradable to Powerful or something.
Azri, the Lich of Khalharum |
Nah, the planned upgrades will probably be just fine. XD As a Legendary Item, it mostly just augments a couple of different checks via Legendary Power (so, like, Caster Level checks to help me overcome Spell Resistance, when relevant). Azri's not really a fighter, so weapon-type upgrades don't matter much. XD I figured crafting magical effects into it would be a fun alternate.
(I can show you an example of what this looks like, if you're curious. o wo/ I'm actually doing it in another game.)
...Also, she has Craft Wondrous Item to begin with, so I could probably add powers either way... maybe I SHOULD switch over to Powerful. XD
Azri, the Lich of Khalharum |
Here's the first bit of my item from another game. There's actually more, but that bit's not relevant. XD At the moment, it's a magic staff that's also enchanted as a +1 Holy Quarterstaff... and I've been giving it relatively low-level add-on powers to make it more useful. Azri would pick up different effects because she's not a martial character and doesn't need (or want) the same things. Per the crafting rules, she crafts each extra power at 75% of its full value, so everything does get paid for in the end.
Slot: None
CL: 20th (The bonded creature uses their caster level for effects at all times)
Weight: 5 lbs
Aura: Strong varied
Mythic Powers:
-Legendary Power (2/day)
-Legendary Surge (+1d8 to Attack Roll and Concentration Checks)
-Mythic Bond (The Staff of Sacred Light is bonded to Iris)
-Upgradable (Spend 1/2 the gold and 8 hours to upgrade/enchant the item)
-Returning, Same Plane (Spend 1 mythic power to summon weapon to hand, as if using the teleport object spell. Item must be on the same plane.)
Additional Crafted Powers:
-Amulet of Hidden Light [On command, the staff can shed light as a sunrod. Unlike a normal light source, creatures outside this area (60 ft) cannot see the light.]
-Amulet of Natural Armor +1 [Gives a +1 bonus to Natural Armor]
-Armillary Amulet [Gives a +5 Competence Bonus on Spellcraft]
-Golembane Scarab [Enables its bearer to detect any golem within 60 feet, although they must concentrate (a standard action) in order for the detection to take place. It also enables its possessor to combat golems with weapons, unarmed attacks, or natural weapons as if those golems had no damage reduction.]
-Necklace of Adaptation [Wraps the wearer in a shell of fresh air, making them immune to all harmful vapors and gases (inc. gas spells and inhaled poisons) and allowing them to breathe, even underwater or in a vacuum.]
-Swarmbane Clasp [The bearer’s weapons, unarmed attacks, and natural attacks deal full damage to swarms, regardless of the swarm’s immunity to weapon damage (if any, although damage reduction applies as normal). If the wearer is damaged by a swarm, she automatically succeeds on her saving throw against the swarm’s distraction ability.]
Of course, if you're worried, I can always pick and do something different. o wo/

Mythic: Tier 2
HP: +4
Ability Score: +2 Cha.
Amazing Initiative (Ex): +2
Mythic Power (Su): +2 uses.
Mythic Spell: Color Spray
Path Ability: Sustained by Faith (Su): If you spend at least 1 hr. of prayer or meditation, you require no food, water, or sleep for 24 hrs. This time can be the same time you use to prepare spells. You must still rest 8 hrs. to regain spells but you are not subject to fatigue or exhaustion due to a lack of sleep. Additionally, once per day you may expend one use of mythic power as a full-round action to refresh yourself as if you had rested for 8 hrs. for the purposes of regaining spells and healing heal hp and ability damage, including to your animal companion if you have one. If you are forsaken and have not achieved sainthood, you regain domain spells for that day. Also, you may summon a new animal companion, but only if the first has perished.
Selena Halfblood |
Woo, Tier 2! Will update and post in a bit.
A. Aibek |
Aibek is going to be overwhelmed and confused for a bit, becoming a Shadow Archon -- a slightly tweaked version of Shadow Lord -- I would think would be a little disorientating, especially with a bunch of strange shadows forcing it in a way very different from how Aibek became a shadow creature. So for now, have a mumbling newbie Shadow Archon who is ignoring their wounds and torn clothes to process shadow stuff. If Arman is still watching, I would think the younger sibling would be confused as well.
I will update Aibek's character page later today probably in bits as I have time and as I poke GM Jon to confirm things for me.
For the new Mythic Tier, I'm debating between 2 abilities:
Size Shift (Su): You may expend a use of mythic power shift your size as though effected by enlarge person or reduce person with a caster level equal to your tier. You may take this ability a second time to increase the duration to 1 hour per tier.
vs
Steal Enchantment (Su): You learn to shift magic from an enemies weapon to your own. By expending a use of mythic power you may attempt to shift power from an enemies weapon to your own. An enemy targeted with
this ability must make a will save (DC = 10+half your level+your Con modifier+you tier) or have 1 effect + 1 effect from his or her weapon to
your own. The shift lasts for 1 round per tier.
Selena Halfblood |
I'm not sure what I'll be picking,either :/
I'm torn between Meat Shield and Mythic Maneuver Training (from the Mythic Hero Handbook)
Ayreth |
Out of curiosity, can you get the ability where you use a grappled creature as an improvised weapon, or is that barbarian only?
Selena Halfblood |

Uncanny Grapple, the Mythic ability that I already have, is a buffed version of that: I only had the chance to use it in the Gnoll fight, tough!
Ayreth |
Dang, I missed that when I was sick. I've always wanted to see that in action.
A. Aibek |
Both of those look great Selena, the top one seems more fun while the boost to CMB has obvious appeal.
I'm no help XD
----
Other than a new Mythic Path Ability, Aibek's profile is entirely updated with all the new Shadow Archon stuff if anyone wants to read. Also, I added the mental to-do list that keeps being mentioned so I can remember all of it. Also, I edited the top bar to be easier to read and have the information I need clearer. I do not understand why only race, class, and gender appear on the top bar...or why out of those gender appears first when it is 3rd in thing, but I eventually got it readable for me - mostly using lines and hiding most of it.
Shadow Archon upgrades...a lot. The boost to dex [+4] was enough, when combined with Weapons Finesse and Mythic Weapons Finesse, to make everything very different. Then there are the spells, being incorporeal when moving unless Aibek chooses not to be, and a bunch more that it will take Aibek, and me, time to get used to. GM Jon had to deal with me repeatedly squealing that my baby Aibek was turning into a monster while I upgraded with him. Also, Aibek gets +4 to Charisma [so might be able to talk] and +8 to Stealth...and can now see in all the darks.
Mythic Tier 2 Upgrade:
Auto: Amazing Initiative
HP: +5
Ability Upgrade: Dex +2 [because after the boost from Shadow Archon, Aibek needed even more XD].
Path Ability: Still Deciding...partially because Jon keeps throwing ideas at me :P
Nigrum Ensis Halfblood |
Mythic Upgrade
Ability Upgrade: +2 Str, cause king kong will swing from our tower and Nigrum will be there to fight him in a epic clash of brute strength. Bring popcorn. ;P
Auto: Amazing Initiative
Path Ability: Medium Armor Master, because prerequisites suck so I won't get anything good on my path til we hit 4th tier. xZ
Btw is the added HP special for some of you or is it something mythic that I missed?

-- Figure out what in the shadows just happened to me
Hahaha!
By the way, I really enjoy your character's themes.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Selena, could you roll your Fort save, please? Trying to figure out everyone's HP. And lower your SR, please.
And if everyone(except Azri) could check my HP totals to make sure they are correct, please.
Mihara: 15/47 | Aibek(SR 11, but only harmful): 13/47 | Nigrum(SR 16, only in combat for now): 41/70 | Selena(SR 18): 9or23?/48
Yao Mihara |
15's correct. That said, reviewing my template and such, it has been brought to my attention that Mihara currently has SR 16 and I hadn't realized.
Consider Mihara's SR lowered.
Ayreth |
It's unlimited, too, correct? Still, it's a tradeoff since I can't do much for you. Unless....
That makes sense for the Fey template, Mihara.
And if everyone(except Azri) could check my HP totals to make sure they are correct, please.
Mihara(SR 16): 15/47 | Aibek(SR 11, but only harmful): 13/47 | Nigrum(SR 16, only in combat for now): 41/70 | Selena(SR 18): 9or23?/48
Azri, the Lich of Khalharum |
Yup. Azri has unlimited self-healing... which isn't as broken as it sounds at first. XD It's too slow to be much good during combat (and we usually heal after combats anyway), and as a debuff-focused caster, she's usually staying out of harm's way... so running out of HP is rarely an issue in the first place. It's not much different than having two or three healsticks for personal use. XD
A. Aibek |
That looks right to me Ayreth, though right now any SR and or any other resistances are pretty down with poor Aibek's overwhelmed brain functions ;)
I'm glad you like my character's themes :)
Selena Halfblood |
Selena, could you roll your Fort save, please? Trying to figure out everyone's HP. And lower your SR, please.

Fort save DC 18: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
Consider Selena's SR lowered, too.Ayreth |
Thanks all. Once I have Channel, it'll be much easier, not worrying about SR so much. =)
Selena Halfblood |
Okay, let's go with:
Mythic Tier 2 Upgrade:
Auto: Amazing Initiative
HP: +5
Ability Upgrade: Str +2
Path Ability: Mythic Maneuver Training
Meat Shield is cool, but the risk of losing the guy I'm holding still is too big. Also, further down the road, I'll be using swift actions all the time to maintain Rapid Grappler. The bonus applies to other maneuvers, too.
@DMJon: If I buy a couple of Armbands of the Brawler, do I have to re-buy my bracers of armor to staple those two together, or do I just pay the Armbands priceX1.5?
Ayreth |
Haha, I also do not peek. It gives the opportunity for characters to be selective about what they give out, or interpret things in a certain way. Like with this, having it conveyed by Thark is fun for me.
I'm okay with it. There isn't a lot of new information beyond what she said.
Nigrum Ensis Halfblood |
Um not to nitpick but you have been calling Duemus a demon lord when he is a lord of hell. It's a bit of a difference, as their is mention of a mother with no details as well. May want to look into that a bit as I don't think lords of hell have kids with just anyone. As we have seen their blood is kinda potent and less random then demons in their manifestation. Sense unlike demons they are beings of laws and endless rules. Something we may be able to take advantage of in our eventual dealings. Something we could never do with a demon.
P.S. He got his horns handed to him by Ragathiel, that's a big scrap of information as we have someone of equal to greater power invested as an opponent and potential ally. At the very least his worshipers could be predisposed towards aiding us.
Ayreth |
Noted.

Because I'm sure you're all wondering about the towers, here it is on a floor by floor basis, from what you've been able to work out, up to floor ten. The location of the bridges is educated from the pattern you've seen, but the details from the Central and South East towers for the floors you've been too are also included.
One note - Going back through, I obviously made a mistake (we're all shocked, right?). On floor 7 of the South East Tower, you examined the North East tower and found that the upper levels were derelict - I said you were looking at the North tower. My mistake. I'm sure there are more.

A. Aibek |
I think we lost the trail either before or in the frozen-corpse-illusion room/the South East Druid Tower Floor 8. Heading up to Floor 10 will give us a bridge to the North East Tower which is where the last trail on Level 7 that we saw was heading to [there were two trails, one went over the bridge to the North East, the other went elsewhere and likely lost in the flora and stuff on that floor]. If we head up, we can also see any bell towers.
JonGarrett |
Yeah, there's been no trace of them since you guys went past the Canopy Creeper.
And all the towers are pretty horrifying - you've just chosen to focus on the Druid's, so the bad stuff has happened there.
And sorry it's confusing Mihara. Basically the tower bridges form a spiral, with each tower having a connecting to the main one every 3 floors, and a bridge to the previous tower in the pattern on the same floor. You're reaching the upper levels, given you guys are about 270 feet up.
But yeah, I need to find someone who can draw...
Selena Halfblood |
If it helps, I can craft the new power onto your existing bracers... ^^
Yay!
For the tower map: I can't help because I absolutely suck at drawing, but maybe we could come up with something in excel doc or something like that?
Azri, the Lich of Khalharum |
...Well, I'll need supplies first, but yeah. XD I've no intention of hogging my crafting feat - if you guys want something, just lemme know.
