As Jamila casts detect she picks up magic, it is a magical trap. However the heroes find a metal object in which they insert a key found on one of the gnolls in area A1 and it disables the trap.
Heroes also notice scratches and scuffs in the dust and sludge around this supplementary channel's entrance. The heroes continue onward with haste, while not fully running since the trap is timed five minutes before it resets, they reach A5 in just 7 rounds while not running to produce a lot of sound or tire themselves out.

At A5: Ahead the qanat tunnel opens into another well shaft. Propped against the side of the shaft is a crudely lashed ladder of dried planks.

The ladder is a mimic. actually if you pass the perception check you know it is a creature, dungeoneering dc 14 tells you it is a mimic as well other stats about it that you want to know

As JAFO says this, it hears you and reveals itself as you didn't whisper this. Mimics are neutral aligned however and they kill for sport and food, I'm taking all this into consideration, it knows common.

Immune to acid
Adhesive (Ex)

A mimic exudes a thick slime that acts as a powerful adhesive, holding fast any creatures or items that touch it. An adhesive-covered mimic automatically grapples any creature it hits with its slam attack. Opponents so grappled cannot get free while the mimic is alive without removing the adhesive first. A weapon that strikes an adhesive-coatd mimic is stuck fast unless the wielder succeeds on a DC 17 Reflex save. A successful DC 17 Strength check is needed to pry off a stuck weapon. Strong alcohol or universal solvent dissolves the adhesive, but the mimic can still grapple normally. A mimic can dissolve its adhesive at will, and the substance breaks down 5 rounds after the creature dies. The save DC is Strength-based.

Special Attacks constrict (slam, 1d8+6)

It transforms into a white JAfO so that you can all distinguish the difference as it has no true form. I'll make you a deal since you discovered me, feed me 10 trail rations or three bodies, dead or alive and I'll let you all live, I've already killed many gnolls down here. There is no surprise attacks, if anyone attacks at all, that is init, it is expecting you to attack, and it is very perceptive.

This passage bears signs of visitors from the world above in the form of scribbled lines of graffiti that gradually evolve into full blown murals portraying twisted, nightmarish caricatures and jumbled rants against the city's Pactmasters. With a successful DC 15 craft alchemy or knowledge local check, the heroes id the resin as pesh. A successful 15 percp check to survey the refuse also reveals a broken pesh pipe, a wineskin containing a milky substance (identifiable as pesh in its unrefined state), and several empty cloth pouches containing a salty powder that can be identified as nagri, a bitter salt used in the pesh refinement process, with a successful 20 craft alchemy check. Pesh is a drug by the way, the way they describe it, it is as addictive as cocaine, not that I would know.

She is in a purple cloth like shirt, not a dress though. She has her masterwork short sword raised at you.

Alright fine, but if you see any Pesh growing report it to me, the sewers have plenty of spots for it to grow and I've been experimenting, though mostly with failure, problem is getting around the gnolls and all the other creatures that live down makes it near impossible for me to check every growing site or where I planted them that is.
