Terra takes aim with her sonic stunner pistol at the nearest soldier :

Beam Weapon, TN=13: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 2) = 8 = Success

Bringer : the soldier gets a HT-3 roll to resist. Add +1 per 5 DR the victim has at the point struck (torso). If he fails, he suffers the Unconsciousness (p. B429) incapacitating condition for minutes equal to the margin of failure on his HT roll.

BATTLE MAP

As I'm looking over the stats and comparisons of the special abilities of the groups and some of the tactical fun stuff in combat in general...I declare combat over... Even if Terra kept bouncing outta turn, the You silly goose. COMBAT OVER

Exposition: Three soldiers remain on land. The one that dived after the commander, and the commander himself, have vanished from the area.
One of the soldiers is still suffering shock and is weakening. One has tossed down his weapon, the other now unconscious. Leaving you with three.
The Crystal in Terra's hand remains seemingly inactive.

Meanwhile...

Nedora:

The soldiers, assuming she doesn't resist, tie and bind the young woman, placing her in one of the shuttles locking seats.
"Suppose we could have just killed her...but I feel this is a better option. Besides, we saved a life, right?" One says to the other laughing lightly.
The other soldier removes his helm, applying a sealent to the wound that had been inflicted upon him. He peered at the hole in his helm and shakes his head. "I was lucky..." He whispers to himself. With a smirk, he looks up to Nedora and was about to speak but the comms begin to bark from the ship's cockpit.
He runs to the cockpit only to, a moment later, dash out of the shuttle entirely. "Hurry up then!" Nedora can see him clearly waving at someone.

...Coming aboard, a limp figure is dragged by another solider, both seem wet and equally weighed down.
"Three? We lost three? And the commander?"
"He's alive...barely...We need to take him to the ship...The pods will bring him back. He may need some cybernetics as well."

Both of Nedora's captures dive into the cockpit and ready the ship.
the newer arrivals are placed in seats across from Nedora, one limp as a noodle, the other staring her down.
"Who are you?" He asks...as the shuttle ramp doors begin to close.

Jean's visor jumps over the scans of the log and the combat. "Think we're clear. Merde, we actually did it...", he says over the comms, raising his visor. "Alright, go and grab what they had, and let's go the hell away from here." He lights up a cigarette with shaking hands, then sits down, breathing heavily. "Mon Dieu, is this thing heavy. Not going to complain, though.", he pats the two warps on his spacesuit, the tungsten carbide warped from the heavy heat. "Doc, Terra, you know what that crystal is?", he points at the thing they've got. He raises up slowly, walking over to the scene of the firefight. Upon arriving, he sees that the corpse of the leader is missing, alongside the fourth soldier. He walks over to the captive, pointing the gauss carbine at his face. "Give me your helmet now, mon ami." He turns down the comms in the helmet, tossing the helmet aside.

He sits next to the man, offering to light him up a cigarette. "You see, mon ami, we're not unreasonable people." His voice is calm and relaxed, as if trying to preach to the man. "We simply don't like millions of people dying because Terra decided it wanted to send a message." He blows a cloud of smoke. "I want to know what the crystal is, and I want to know where your camarade went with the corpse. In return, we'll leave you off at the nearest port we can, and will treat you with some respect and dignity. It's more than you'd get staying here. You can even go back to your government, and come back after us."
Diplomacy, TN 18: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 3) = 9

He pats the man on the shoulder. "I'll leave you some time to think about it.", he says, standing up, and reaching to his comms. "Nedora, get the Turing prepped. We're coming back." He waits for a response. "Nedora, you there?"

Female Human

Nedora's Escapades:

She doesn't fight much, and just keeps quiet. If she was quiet they might not yell at her.

So who's the really dummy now, Nedora? a small, mocking voice repeats in her head as she's lead to the seat and restrained. The smirk is enough to catch her by surprise, though, and for a moment the crushing despair of a Grade-A Charlie Foxtrot lifts, but only until the call comes in and the soldier carrying the other soldier comes in, dripping water all over the compartment. A small, very small part of her wanted to tell them to clean the mess up, but that part was dwarfed into insignificance by the numbness that was setting in.

Then the soldier asks who she was.

"N-nedora," she blurts out in surprise before she can stop herself.

BATTLE MAP

The solider considered the proposal carefully... After his helm was tossed aside. The shape of his comrades was dire if not already deadly.
He let out a sigh shaking his head.
"An object from beyond the quarantine of the inner system..." He said with some considerable thought.
"That's all I know about it..."

Loot!: Laser Rifles x3. If you are so inclined: Combat Spacesuits(Fine quality as they are decrotive) x3 with 2 helms...as one exploded.
EXP: 8 pts to all! Although it seemed quick, it had tricks...and they will never come to pass.

He remained silent after he was asked about where his comrade had gone with the corpse of his commander. He simply turned his head, looking to the ground. "You killed the Squire...That I am sure." Despite look of loss in his face, he was still a proud soldier and further refused to speak simply choosing to accept his fate and stay on his knees, arms relaxed at his side.

Nedora: Darkness of space:

The shuttle's engines began to charge. As the entry ramp sealed the shuttle lifted. The sound of depressurized hanger doors vibrated the cabin. this shuttle could 20 soliders, as one could count from the 10 seats on either side... However only 5 went out with two returning...and the pilots.
"Nedora. Huh." The man said as he leaned his head into the seats head support. "We'll see what will happen to you kid."
The shuttle departed the hanger and took off into empty space... There in a small window, Nedora could the hub becoming smaller in the distance.
The man infront of her sighed heavily as he leaned foreward. "The gorilla force took the medic out before we even had a chance... Complete surprise. I told the bastard a full honor guard was nessisary!" His frustration turned to anger.. A seat next to him seem to vibrate heavily before crunching foreward. The man let out a sigh, his anger alleviating. "How long?" He turned toward the cockpit, asking the pilots.
"2 Minutes, sir."
"Be faster... Hopefully we can save him."

If Rix can make any kind of roll to identify the crystal, go ahead and make it for her, since the GM will need to do the roll in secret for such a thing, I expect.

APRIL:

"You did what?!"

Nedora's voice isn't loud, not by a long shot, but this is quite possibly the loudest you've heard her speak.

Ever.

Nedora's Perdicament:

Nedora twitches as April's call comes in, the sound of the AI's voice quite unexpected, though not as unexpected as the news it delivers.

"You did what?!" She says incredulously, just loud enough to be head through the visor of her helmet.

I know that Jean was hit but not sure if he took any damage.

After doing what she could in a few seconds for the government agents, Rix looked at Jean and held up her hand with a questioning look on her face and a glance at the place where his armor showed damage. "Are you hurt?". She glances with a similar question implied at the others involved in the firefight.

She shrugs in April's direction. "Not much I can do for you," she says to the machine-person.

Once the healing is done, Rix shuts her medical bag and gets ready to move. "I think Nedora was going to try to steal the shuttle craft these ... " she gestures at the agents, "arrived in. She may be in trouble. Also April just stated that we are murderers of government agents, so maybe it's time we got back to a ship and figured out a way to get out of here."

Jack helps gather and carry the weapons and armor back to the ship

BATTLE MAP

Rix is unable to identify the origin of this crystalline material. Though the man did say it was from beyond the inner system. Not much has come out of the inner system in the last decade.
Her healing works wonders both mundane and otherwise. She is able to stabilize the man in shock and heal some of the wounds...though not regenerate the destroyed eye of both men.
The conscious man, now down to his regular wear as jack took his arms and armor simply watched Rix with a confused look.
"We were curtain that no Psi personnel were on the station. Why are you hear?" He asked Rix. "Suppose it was you then that the commander was altered to..."

Jack, being the man that he is, hauls 3 suits of armor and 3 laser rifles to the ship. He's just that awesome.

The solider, now completely without much to his name takes to his feet.
"Wait..." He says.
"I cant say our unit would have done the same for you... but as you clearly have a morality that I am grateful for... I'll try to give you a hand. Our suits each carry an ID of sorts. They get us passed civil security, and access to our respective clearances for our military stations. We had just been promoted to honor guards. In short, we have free roam of the flag ship's facilities...Its not much to go off of if you cannot get to the flag ship before she leaves...but that's my thanks to you."
The solider sits back down. He looks to his comrades and sighs, shaking his head.

Nedora's Thingy-ma-bob:

After she spoke into her helm, Nedora could sense the gent across from her looking her over. He leaned forward, locking his hands together. "Nedora, That helm wouldn't happen to be fitted out, would it?" He asked subtly.
He placed his own helm back on, the thing covered his head and seemed to seal, pressurizing. looking into the helms eyes, a glimmer of tiny lights raced by.
"Ah. A little radio." He said with a sigh. "I had hoped the pilots would have been smart enough to handle that..."
He didn't move quickly, almost lazily. He places his hands over the helm and slowly began to remove it, not actually touching her at all.
"I don't like touching kids... Nothing personal..."
Her helm came off and now found it self in the possession of the solider.
"You idiots forgot to check the girl... However...we can find out who she's with."

She shuttle began to slow as a shadow dimmed the light from the sun. The sounds of the engines began to amplify as it seemed to enter from the underbelly of the massive ship. The sounds sealing doors and pressurized atmosphere boomed.
"We're here sir. Medical is on its way... Also... Baron Silus wishes to speak to you." A pilot spoke.
"Great. Take the girl to the brig. Fully process her."
"Yessir."

The back ramp opened, lowering itself onto the metal surface... A medical team was already waiting quickly grabbing the commander's limp body and placing him on some kind of hovering stretcher.
The solider that had sat across from Nedora took his leave, leaving the girl in the hands of the pilots. they lifted her up and began taking her through the ship. The hanger was large and housed 4 similar shuttles. 2 for soldiers (including the one you arrived in) and the other two seemed fitted to carry tanks, as one had a hover tank attached to it.

Female Human

Nedora in space:

Nedora feels herself liftout of the seat a little as the helmet's pulled free. As it comes off, she winces as the plug in her neural jack pulls on its port before coming loose adn allowign the helmet to freely come off.

Two things become quite evident then. The first is that Nedora's been genetically modified. The second is the helmet's not quite standard design. A port on the outside and the cable on the inside allows a fully vacc suited person to still use their neural jack without compromising the suit's seal.

The young doesn't look at the man who is apparently in charge now, too scared and too shy to do it, nor can she seem to bring herself to say anything. She just sits in the seat, trying her best to curl up as small as she can for the rest of the trip.

It's not until the soldier says to process her, that she finds her voice.

"W-what are you going to do to me," she mumbles just barely loud enough to hear.

"We detected this thing," Rix says, gesturing toward the crystal, ""so it's a fair bet the people who sent it down here can track it. I suggest we take it to the shuttle with these uniforms, which may make the command ship think something went wrong and they had to return to the shuttle. We get Nedora, leave these uniforms behind. If we're smart we had better leave this crystal behind or we'll be chased all over the system. If we're in the Turing we can be sure they'll catch us."

Rix heart was beating at a rate she knew was due to an adrenaline surge. Her mind felt sharper "It sounds like this is targeting non-psions. Maybe it isn't a bomb but some kind of psionic technology that ..."

She couldn't complete the sentence. She did not like to speculate without data.

BATTLE MAP

Gotta wait to use the 'enhanced' sensors to better see some things...but The crystal is the thing giving off the unique power sig. Further more, the ship is in high orbit and hasn't moved, despite receiving the returned shuttle.
which leads me to Rix: When you say shuttle, are you referring to your ship? The shuttle that took Nedora had taken off already.

Spac-dora!:

Processing the young woman was done with a large sense of discard. No one spoke directly to her. Once she was handed to the processing office...a large, angular room that had several 'cells' attached to it. She was unceremoniously stripped of her cloths, washed and thoroughly checked by a variety of scanners. because here in Paizo forums, we don't abuse children in any fashion >.> She was then placed inside one of the cells. She had a metal cot with a thermal sleeping bag, a toilet a small shelf. Lighting was automated from what she could tell and a small corner cam kept its eye on her.
The woman who had processed her sat at a desk in the middle of the angular room. It wasn't until the entire process was over that she spoke into a comm device into Nedora's cell...
"We are currently waiting on the Baron's orders. For now you are simply a hooliagan who needs to be taught not to shoot soliders and attempt to steal shuttles..." She sighed over the mic.
"Cybernetics...Gen-Modded... Someone spent all kinds of money on you little one. Who are you?"

Rix notices a field around the crystal... an aura. It's hallow, wispy. Weak at best. It was missing something.

Moving us along...
The crew returns to the Turing. The ship is ready and waiting.
However the Gate Mechina has activated and is easily perceived through the viewing ports. A blue, spireling enegy. The wormhole tech that humanity had developed working at its finest.

She's 19, legally an adult in the US, even in Alabama where I live. Not that there's anything wrong with what you've done. Just letting you know.

Before I post, did she ever receive anything to wear? I'm assuming that they did strip her or have her strip naked since they washed her. Depending on whether or not they gave something to cover up with is going to affect how she responds.

BATTLE MAP

Female Human

Cellblock AA-23:

Just going to assume they were also kind enough to provide her with some underwear as well.

Nedora's face burns scarlet with humiliation as she's stripped and then bathed. Throughout most of the process, she tries to hang onto some shred of dignity and does her best to keep herself covered. After the automated process finishes, she's left shivering in the cell with her tattoos, two identical, complex barcodes, in plain sight between her shoulder blades and on her left hip. When a white jumpsuit and a set of underwear appears through an almost invisible slot, she moves to get dressed as quickly as she can, abandoning the attempts to keep herself covered up in the process.

The young woman is less than reassured by what she hears, and for a moment, considers pleading for mercy. It probably wouldn't work, so she decides that cooperating might be the best course of action.

Besides, it wasn't like it could get much worse anyway.

"Serial Number five-delta-dash-one-three-three-seven-dot-five-six-niner-four-dot-four-two, also known as Nedora," she says quietly as she curls up into a ball on the cot.

I've not been reading Nedora's spoilers (does that make me a good noodle?) and no one said anything about her situation except April who reported that some of her equipment/enhancements had been removed. What do we now know about Nedora and the shuttle? Rereading Nedora's post, she doesn't say anything about letting the rest of the crew know what she was going to attempt. I think I thought Rix knew that she was going to try to get the shuttle based on her OOC comment, assuming she would send us some indication of what she was doing. Should we have been reading the spoilers? Is there information in there that we would know about? April apparently got some information at one point, since she referenced Nedora. Can we get more about what she knows or at least what she would have told us by the time we get back to the ship? Fog of war is great, but I'm worried there is more fog than there should be.

As the crew returns to the Turing, Rix reports what she can see of the crystal's aura. "I can read the aura's of living things, so either this faint aura suggests this is or was alive, or I've got some ESP that I didn't know about. Terra, you got anything more on this? Maybe when we get to the ship, the sensors can detect more."

Back at the ship, Rix looks over the evidence of Nedora's activities, puzzling out the clues. Otherwise, she feels pretty helpless, not knowing how to do much with the sensors or the ship. She checks the computer to see what the 'net has on the situation.

Computer Operation TN 12: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 6) = 13 Unless she gets a bonus for accessing the 'Net, she's not finding much out.

Female Human

Forgot to mention her pistol, 3 mags, and her skinsuit and helmet are all gone as well. If APRIL's still in the system, she could probably find out what happened using the security systems.

I think that we contacted Nedora, or APRIL did, and after replying that we did, in fact, removed the away team from the living majority, we lost contact with her. Maybe we got a ping from where she was by the radio, and with the information gathered from the cooperative guard, we can conclude that she's on the shuttle, and the Baron's boat? Also, I'm assuming that we took the three marines on-board, since releasing them right now would be impractical.

Jean lets out a groan of desperation. "Oh, merde... I need a coffee...", he says, rushing to the kitchen. "Judging by the clothes and their position,", he says, pointing at the clothes strewn towards Nedora's room, "I believe that she'd left the ship. If we go there, I doubt that we'd find her space suit." He continues, a beep indicating that his mug is now full. He takes it, then lights up a cigarette. "So, as madame Docteur said, she might've gone to steal a shuttle.", he nods at Rix. "And since we lost contact after she replied out loud, maybe she's on-board..." He points at the massive ship. "That."

He lets out a cloud of smoke, before remembering to turn on his vac. "Pardon." He sits on the counter. "We still have whatever that is.", he points toward the crystal. "I doubt they're lacking in those... We can leave it as a beacon somewhere, set up a trap. Unless they decide to glass the Mond."

He flicks his lighter, and then an idea comes to his mind. "Hm. Can we trace that soldier? We let him go, let him think that it was all a big misunderstanding, and now that we're leaving, he might as well go on his merry way. They might send him and the others a med-evac, and if it's him saying it, they'll believe him. Might even give him the crystal, and argument that we'll be targets with it, and all we want to do is leave.", he pauses to see the response. "And then we setup another trap.", he smiles.

I am so taking Tactics with some of my XP...

Further attempts to reveal that all out going feeds have been blocked by a rather advanced fire wall and it seems that the local net has even been frozen. No 'new' info has been posted.

My ULF radio communicator, back on the ship, has a broadcasting range of 10,000 km (any decent radio system, and definitely the APRILface wristwatches, use this range; it's jut very low quality over that long a range). If Nedora is going to a ship in orbit, until they've taken her last communicator, she can drop APRIL messages to relay to the party.

BATTLE MAP

You've since lost comms with Nedora. Last transmission was sent in response to APRIL's causal mention of Navy personnel murder

"Are you all *kidding*?!?! If she's on that ship, how in the h*ll are we going to get on board? How would we find her? How would we break her out? And, finally, how would we *get back off* that ship? We're talking *impossible* here!

...Wait, maybe the shuttle hasn't left yet. APRIL, is the shuttle still where it landed?"

Bringer, can you answer for APRIL in her stead?

Gotta wait to use the 'enhanced' sensors to better see some things...but The crystal is the thing giving off the unique power sig. Further more, the ship is in high orbit and hasn't moved, despite receiving the returned shuttle.

which leads me to Rix: When you say shuttle, are you referring to your ship? The shuttle that took Nedora had taken off already.

I believe the answer was given in a comment to Rix, who said something about the shuttle earlier.

Let's say that 1dr0meda is Rix's favorite character in a cyberpunk adventure series she watches. Sometimes she slips into speaking in the slightly sing-song voice of that android character when she is trying to be logical and calm. :)

Rix looks to Jean and April who seem to be the current experts on what's possible with regard to the ship. "Maybe we can negotiate with them. Can we at least get up into space? The soldiers said the suits might allow us to spoof their comm system. Maybe we could use that, make them think we have some of their soldiers. Make a trade."

"APRIL, what was the location of Nedora's last communication with you? If it was in the air, or on the pad where the shuttle was, then we'd know she is (or was) on the shuttle."

Seeing as Jean stipulated that we brought the soldiers back with us...

Turning to the soldier who offered the info about the comms, Terra asks him "What about it? Would your superiors be willing to trade the three of you for one young woman? With no tricks?"

Before he can answer, she turns to the rest of the crew and says "Remember, they were going to blow up Moonbase! They are powerful AND unscrupulous, and we may be holding the bomb right here" as she waves the crystal in her hand around a bit. "I don't know if I'd trust them at all..."

Turning back to the soldier, she adds "Your superiors, that is, not you guys".

To the same captives: "What is this thing," points to the crystal, "supposed to do? Is it a bomb? We've interpreted communications we intercepted to suggest the leadership had some hostile intent. And don't lie. We have psions among us who can detect lies."

The Soliders look to Terra who inquires about the exchange. They look toeachother before giving a shrug...the shrug of defeat."It's unlikely... The Baron doesn't often do anything half-hearted. He wants this station destroyed, he'll still find means to destroy it. I doubt we're even within his notice."

The group looked back to the floor, sighing lightly. "If you wouldn't mind getting ready to leave...I doubt it will be long before his plan B takes affect."

After a moment, Rix chimed in, inquiring about the crystal. The soliders had no idea the specifics but it was supposed to limit artificial structure damage but destroy living matter...specifically living, sentient entities." He sighed, leaning against the wall. "I didn't want to know more than that...So I didn't ask."

At that moment, Aster is no where to be seen and several of his equipment has been seemingly packed.

Nedora meets Baron Silus:

The prison block becomes silent for a prolonged period of time. The Warden seemed stiff in her seat. The entry into the block opened suddenly causing her to become rigid. The sound of heavy, metallic steps thundered as each step slowly made its way toward the Cell that Nedora waited.
"That's the cap-" The warden began to speak only to have the lights in the block suddenly burst. She silenced immediately.
Standing before Nedora, separated by simple metal bars was a man who war a full set of heavy combat armor. It was black and accented with red trim and light gold embroidery. His helmet was entirely sealed but topped with what looked like a jagged crown. Over his left shoulder, a dark red cloak hung to the ground, covering his arm. He stood nearly 9 feet tall and must have been several muscle bound to support the amount of armor he was wearing.
He simply stared at Nedora, seemingly taking her in before raising a hand.
The Cell door opened. Silus remained stationary.

Are any other ships leaving?

Jean stares at the blank space at the wall. Inside his head, concepts, plans and ideas are forming. "We've got the crystal burning a hole in our pocket, as they say.", he mentions absent-mindedly. "And we've no chances of stopping the purging.", he shudders at the word. "Where's the Gauntlet heading next?", he asks over the comms, his fingers tapping on the table. It might just be crazy enough to work.

I'm thinking that the most reasonable choice of action would be tracking the Gauntlet down after the purging, and try and destroy the crystal by jury-rigging the nearest reactor to blow and duct-taping it to it. And then we go and rescue Nedora, since right now we're lacking in a pilot. Everyone agree? Only thing I'm seeing within the realm of the 'possible'.

Before the Baron:

Nedora looks as if she might bolt for a moment, but as she thinks past getting past the Baron, the color drains from her face and she curls up as tight as she can in the corner of the room on the cot. Why had he opened the door? Was she free to go? Was this about the cybernetics she had? It wasn't like she had much of a choice where those were concerned. No one had bothered to ask her.

Why was he just standing there? Was he expecting her to do something? Was he here to kill her? To do something else? Why? Why? Why?

"Why," she asks in a small, frightened voice barely louder than a whisper.

BATTLE MAP

No ships have left. Population count of the station is still relatively the same.

The solider who's been speaking on behalf of his captured group answers Jean..."It will head back into interplanetary space. Likely back toward mars."

Jack's gauntlet activates on its own, a Psi-Static field envelops the party. It's an ability Jack can control, but for it to activate on its own...odd.

Nedora...:

A silence follows Nedora's question... It seems to last forever but the Warden pipes up.
"5-D-1337.5694.42... That is the Biodroid's number...seems its a runaway. Private interest. Perhaps wor-" The Baron simply turns his head in the warden's direction. Once again, she silences. His head turns back to Nedora.
"You attempted to steal one of our shuttles. Who are you working with?" A voice, surprisingly soft albeit heavily modified through the helmet.

Female Human

It appears that Swearing isn't Nedora's only button:

It

So that was it then. She'd lead with the serial number, like she'd always been told ot do, and now she was nothing more than property. There's a change in her demeanor as her eyes narrow and tears born of anger instead of fear begin to well up in her eyes.

"Its don't work for anyone. Its are bought and sold," she says, hot anger edging her still quiet voice as she turns away from the Baron. "She thinks I'm just an it. Just plug me into a computer then unplug me and throw me with the rest of the trash to be recycled when you're done. Even have a barcode printed on me. Real people don't have barcodes. Real people have names, not serial numbers."

Her tone is bitterly acidic as she finishes, her eyes now firmly locked onto the bulkhead opposite of wall her back's now pressed against.

"Just a piece of machinery, not like it cares what you call it," she adds as she angrily wipes away a tear.

Does our ship have scanners?

Back on the junker, APRIL taps into the ship's scanners (Do we have any?), while Gilligan mucks about poking at the crystal.

Sensor Operation (ship): 14 - 3d6 ⇒ 14 - (6, 4, 1) = 3

Chemsniffer (operation): 14 + 6 - 3d6 ⇒ 14 + 6 - (2, 2, 1) = 15
Chemsniffer (to quickly detect, though not analyze in detail, any unusual chemical compounds, scents, or biological specimens on the crystal): 14 + 10 - 3d6 ⇒ 14 + 10 - (2, 2, 6) = 14
Sensors roll to analyze with sonic probes: 14 - 3d6 ⇒ 14 - (1, 4, 3) = 6

"Hmmm...maybe the Baron tried to locate or maybe even activate this crystal remotely, and somehow your gauntlet protected us? ... And, who are these 'masters'???

Honestly, I hate to say this guys, but I don't see any way we can realistically get poor Nedora out of the Baron's clutches and survive.

They just out-number and out-power us in every way. And, now that we know what this crystal does, we can't use it on the Baron's ship without affecting Nedora, even if we knew how to set it off.

There. It's been said. Any comments?"

"We had better get rid of this crystal. If the soldiers did not know how to activate it, then they were just placing it and the baron or whoever was going to activate it. I suspect it will do some kind of psionic damage that would eliminate people without damaging the structure. That was probably them trying to activate it to get rid of us. But we dare not leave it on the base, so let's get into space and send it away and destroy it if we can."

"Once we've done that, we can think about saving Nedora, but if we have no plan, no information on where she is, how she is guarded, then I agree with Terra: we can't save her. Maybe she will be able to escape or get information to us, but we need to be in space to act on anything, so that's another reason to get moving!"
