As they walked up to the main deck Esmarelda fell back next to Aviz. "After we do this you should head over to our ship surgeon. Make sure those wings are healing properly, I would hate for you to lose them." Esmarelda said as she gently laid her hand on his shoulder.

Esmarelda's face lit up when he told them they could get things back from Grok. When they had to clean the 'mess' they had made while bringing the rat up to deck, was very likely the fastest she's even done a job. Once it was done she went right to Grok's shop."Quartermaster! Or should I call you Grok?" Esmarelda said with a smile as she walked in. "Scourge has seen to reword our little... band? group? What ever we are called, for taking care of the rats in the bilges. We where told we're a lot to get some of our things back. I would very much like my kapenia, rapier, and... well I would like the rest of my coin back I doubt that would count as one thing, so I will settle for my hip flask. Still full I hope but I doubt it." Esmarelda said as she gave a slight shrug.

Night Action!
Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Perform Song: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25Well... damn. One away from max!

Her song:
A fierce one-eyed man named Baron LaBonne
A meaner pirate had never been known
And he sailed on the Dark Lady
A ship strong and sound with a perilous crew
And high on the mast the skull and bones flew
Fleet and swift was the Dark Lady

And every night the Baron would drink a toast
He'd say, "Here's to our lovely lady host!"
"My one true love"
"Hear, hear!" the crew replied
And the Dark Lady sighed

A rich Clelish galleon was spotted one night
The Dark Lady's crew prepared for the fight
Clash of swords.... No Chelaxian survived it
Except for the maiden with dark eyes so bold
Found in the hull with the jewels and the gold
LaBonne laughed and took her for ransom

And every night the Baron would drink a toast
He'd say, "Here's to our lovely lady host!"
"My one true love"
"Hear, hear!" the crew replied
And the Dark Lady sighed

The girl Carlotta was a beauty quite rare
With each passing night LaBonne couldn't bear
His empty bed... He brought her to it
The Baron soon found he felt more than desire
His love for her grew and his heart filled with fire
He proclaimed that they would marry

The night the Baron drank with jubilee
He said, "Here's to my lovely bride-to-be!"
"My one true love"
"Hear, hear !" the crew replied
And the Dark Lady cried

The following night and storm brewed at sea
The Dark Lady saw her chance to be free
Of her rival, the beauty Carlotta
The ship steered her south to the heart of the gale
Where a wave swept the maiden out over the rail
Sweet revenge on an unfaithful lover

That night the Lady drank a toast
She said, "Here's to your lovely lady host!"
"Your one true love"...
No voices replied
And the Dark Lady smiled

And now every night when a storm fills the sky
They say that a ghost ship sails in its eye
Fleet and swift is the Dark Lady
A ship strong and sound with a perilous crew
And high on the mast the skull and bones flew
While the Captain gazes out to sea

And every night the Baron must drink a toast
And say, "Here's to our lovely lady host"
"My one true love"
"Hear, hear!" the ghost crew replies
And the Dark Lady smiles

How in the nine hells did you miss rats of that size? Aviz thinks to himself, but he keeps his silence.

He could get his equipment back.

Aviz carelessly tosses the rats overboard and briskly heads over to see Grok. Finally. It's about time. He is blind even to if the others are following him as he comes in to see the woman. "We cleared out some rats from the cellar, Scourge said we can have some of our stuff back now."

Fauchard, greatsword, and longbow. Do I get any arrows to go with the bow?

~Night~

It was a good day. He finally got to crack something's skull in, and much more importantly he had his weapon back. He keeps is by his side the entire night, admiring the quality of the blade and feeling the deep-seated hatred for his father's killer. It's like a healthy simmering for him.

Quartermaster Store (Aviz / Esmarelda)-

When Aviz enters the Store, Grok stares up at the man, puzzled. She keeps silent throughout his words before stopping for a moment and staring at the man. She turns and moves to a locker at the back of the room, pulling out the weaponry and a random quiver of arrows, laying them on the table before the man.

"Fine weapon you have there boy, fine weapon indeed. If you need a whetstone and some oil, to keep the polish on her, come back and see me. Maybe with some kind words next time, savvy?"

Grok just grabbed a random quiver so it isn't full. It has 12 arrows in it currently, but she does have arrows for sale also.

Grok turns to Esmarelda and grins. "Grok will do lass. And I'd just call yeh 'Recruits' fer the moment now. Anyway..." She moves back to the same locker and pulls out the rapier and kapina, before returning to the table. She lays them on the table before reaching in to a drawer and pulling out the hip flask. She sloshes it around to show it is full, before laying it beside the other items. "Didn't I mention yer gold is gone girly?" She grinned before waving her finger at Es. "That gold went in ta the ships pot. Ye'll earn it back when we take a prize, if'n ya live through the taking that is!"

"Anything else I can do fer yeh?"

Aviz closes his eyes for a moment and takes a breath. "Apologies. I'm a bit attached to the weapon and I've been waiting to get it back. Thanks for the offer, I'll be sure to do that..." He frowns and looks at the blade, squinting. "Actually now if you don't mind."

Grok shrugs and nods, before laying the whetstone and oil on the table. "Aye I could tell lad, the blade is well maintained. Looks like ya keep it well. This is on me right? We will call it..." she rifled through the quiver for a second before nodding. "8 arrows worth of goods. Keep it sharp and keep yer head on a swivel and ye'll go far. Aye?"

Esmarelda quickly snatch up her kapenia and held it close. She looked it over to ensure it was in one piece, and when she was satisfied that it was all there she returned it to it's rightful place wrapped around her hips. Then she took her rapier, putting it on her right side, before taking the hip flask setting it on her left hip. "I'm shocked it's full. I figured one of you would have drank it." Esmarelda said with a smile. "I plan on singing again tonight, if you can make it out, you may enjoy the show." She told the quartermaster before she looked over to Aviz. "Have you gone to the ship surgeon yet?" Esmarelda asked as she crossed her arms. "You really should."

Esmarelda gives a graceful bow to her audience before collecting the coin and scanning the crowd for familiar faces, and any new ones that would catch her interest.

That's what I'm wondering too...

G'nosha sighed, as she looked down at the corpse of the rat she had failed to hit twice. It was almost worrying.

Stupid vermin.

Esmarelda Valarie wrote:
""Since this is over, lets gather them up and get out of here please? I despise being down here.Sweetheart, Handsome, Lovely... any of you willing to carry these for me? I just... Uha.... can't."

The half-orc didn't react immediately. Maybe because she was still angry... Or maybe because she didn't realize, at first, that Esmarelda was talking to her. The surprise of being called "lovely" was enough to distract her from her rage, and calm her down.

"Yeah, sure," she mumbled, looking a little confused by the compliment.

Her arm, that her pain had numbed out, was starting to hurt again. G'nosha used a cloth strip as a bandage, wrapped around her shoulder, to avoid bleeding on the deck. By the time she helped tossing the dead rats in the sea, however, the bandage her turned red.

S***.

She didn't really mind the pain, but the bleeding was an annoyance. She still finished to clean up the deck, before going to the Quartermaster store.

"I'd like my weapons back."

You've probably already heard the bit about requisitioning supplies, so I'll cut to the chase; got anything for a head ache? I fear that the evening nightcap disagrees with my head. But it's a bit old hat and a bit too refined I think. You ever try it? If you've got a tumbler or two...."

Moments later....

"Oh and I like my old sack back. Good for storing things don't you know, oh and my knife it was probably in a bit of cheese. Cheese that would be nice to hive with this port don't you think? Would you like more? Yes, a bit of cheese an some crackers and wine. I could slice it if you like--if I had my knife. Oh and maybe my compass; good for navigation-especially after the evening grog don't you know."

Zale waited politely (if impatiently) until the others had completed their business, then strode up to Grok with an expression of relief on his face. "My sword and shield, if you please. The blade should be," he spread his hands about four feet apart, "About yea long, crest on the pommel. If it's not pushing my luck too hard, I think there ought to have been a small silver holy symbol as well."
Going with my previous roll for the rest of the day's work.

Night
As the day finally began to come to a close, Zale arched his back tiredly, reflecting with bemused irritation on how much more grueling the day's work became with a heavy shield strapped to you the whole time. He settled his hand on the pommel of his sword, readjusting several times as the reflexive gesture fell on the unfamiliar weapon. Even after a few hours to get used to the idea, he still found himself gaping every time he looked down to see the familiar ancient family crest emblazoned on the pommel of the skull-and-crossbones basket style hilt of the cutlass Grok had handed him. It was an unsettling sight, and a constant reminder of the strange fate that had befallen him.

My Queen...you certainly have an interesting sense of humor.

With a grimace, he tossed back the evening's rum ration as per usual. He was almost used to the taste by now. Almost.

He shook his head vigorously as the foul concoction burned its way towards his stomach, and slapped the flagon down, wandering off to find someone else in need of a bit of pleasant conversation. He could certainly use some relaxation himself.

I'll just let my previous Diplomacy roll for the day carry over, if that works out.

"Hitting first, hard enough, has served me a couple of times, she said after a moment.

Satisfied, she put her weapons right back at their places.

"Maybe," G'nosha conceded. "No, I've always lived in the Shackles. And I guess you are from Belken?"

Night time

If Grok is still looking for a bit of conversation, G'nosha will try to gain her sympathy.

Aviz-

"Got your weapons back I see. Good, you will need them to weather the storm to come!" A womans voice remarks from behind Aviz. Looking over his shoulder he spots Sandara standing nearby, staring at him with a smile. "Though our greatest weapon aint one of steel you know? It is the bond between kin, between friends and lovers. Friendship, love, companionship. All of this is important, aye?" She sits down, leaning forward, her elbows resting on her knees, her face resting in her hands, as she smiles warmly at him.

"You can have it all here you know? Es is trying to get through to you, I'm trying to be yer friend here and Besmara..." She tilted her head, and sighed, listening to the waves for a second. "Well she is a salty old b$~+!, to be true, but we are all her children, savvy? She ties us all together. You could do worse than to listen to what she is trying to say to you!"

Eskilline-

Grok looks up bemused as the whirlwind that is Eskilline enters her domain. She listens intently as the wine is produced, grabbing two goblets and setting in to drink and talk. Over the course of the rest of the day, and well on in to the evening. drinking and talking earns Eskilline his gear back, slowly, piece by piece. He gets his bag, his knife his cheese, hell he gets it all.

You actually had a +2 to Influence, due to your perform check from the previous night, giving you a diplomacy of 29. And a further +2 for bringing her a bottle of wine. So.. you got your gear back, and will spend the night talking to Grok.

Over the course of the night Grok tells you about how Samms Toppin was a convicted murder on land, how Badger became a pirate after her husband and children were murdered and about how Kroop used to be head chef in the finest restaurant in Port Peril, a famous restaurant. That is till his drinking earned him a place on the ship.

Esmarelda-

Esmarelda notes many familiar faces, some enemies, some friends, even Kroop is listening for the start, though he moves off to the Top deck before the song ends. The three people who stand out are a one eyed woman named Caulky Tarroon, the Captains Girl, Giffer Tibbs, a Gnome Swab and Barefoot Samms Toppin, a female Rigger. They are separate in the group, just listening and singing along in spots.

The crowd begins to disperse and as it does, you are approached by Samms, who brings with her two tankards of a dark, thick looking liquid. She offers one to you with a smile. "You have a set of pipes on ya fit fer a bard girl. You deserve something to wet em after all that, on me!"

G'Nosha-

Before Eskilline enters Groks Stores:

Grok nods enthusiastically and grins, her tusks glinting in the light from the oil lamps. "Aye I am from the hold alright. Loved it there, when I was younger but growing up... Nah not the place to be. Our pure brothers and sisters are a tad savage fer my own tastes. And comin from a salty old dog like me, you can imagine hey?"

Night time-

Groks stores are open and her and Eskilline sit inside, drinking and talking as you approach. Grok looks up and beckons you in to the light and the warmth, offering you a drink.

With Eskillines help you can get back two more items G'Nosha.

"Yer two of the good-uns!" Grok grins, shaking Eskilline and G'Nosha by the shoulders, jostling you both around considerably. This is the first real physical contact either of you have had with the quartermaster and, though she is tall and doesn't look it, the woman is immensely strong you can feel from the grip of her hand on your shoulder and the ease with which she jostled you.

Zale-

While Eskilline is in Groks Store-

Zale walks in on the beginning of the greatest drinking session the ship has seen, in a long time. Through the confusing spiel of tales from Eskilline and the banter back and forth between the two, through Grok enjoying how polite and respectful the Paladin is, Zale gets all he asks for back, and then some.

Zale also earns two extra pieces of gear, due to Eskillines help.

That Night-

Zale wanders the deck, looking for inspiration. He is drawn towards the Top Deck, where the Ships Cook stands, hands gripping the rails, staring out over the waves the ship is causing as it drifts through the night.

Ambrose looks up as Zale joins him, grunting to acknowledge the mans presence. They stand there in silence for a few minutes, till the older man speaks. "Yer out of yer element here boy. You get forced on to a ship and suddenly yer made to be somethin ya ain't. Yer not like the rest of us, yer something purer, something clean almost. Ya smell new!" He glanced around, a slightly manic gleam in his eyes.

"Hopefully not too new, don't want ya breaking under it all..." He turns and walks past Zale, stopping at the tops of the stairs, staring down on to the deck. "There is something comin, I can feel it on the winds. Watch yerself lad!" He walked away, towards his cabin, not breaking stride.

I am going to move us on to the next day, but please continue the Rping if you like.

Day 5:Tide is Rising

You awaken to the sound of the morning bell, ringing loud and clear. Your eyes open to an unfamiliar scene as the rest of the worlds sounds greet you, screamed orders, loud crashing and the tell tale sound of heavy rainfall on the deck above. Fully half of the bunks are already empty, an earlier watch having been dragged up on deck as the storm had hit like a demon out of nowhere.

As it progressed, the bell signals the call to all hands. As you grab your gear and move to go up, Sandara sighs, kneeling beside Zarvas bunk. The frog man is looking very green, if that is possible. She shakes her head and gestured for you to leave.

"He is too sick to work. Might be something he ate."

As you hit the deck, your eyes take in the full extent of the storm. Rain and gale force winds rock the ship and... is that wave over the mast?

Aviz and Es stomachs lurch as the ship crests a huge wave and slides down in to the trough, only to be side swiped by another wave causing it to lurch sideways. The need to vomit becomes intense for them.

Aviz and Es are nauseated.

Scourge notices you all coming up on deck and hurries over, his insults forgotten as he begins to dish out orders. He addresses G'Nosha first, before moving to Esmarelda. "Girl, get to the Galley and see that Kroop is cooking. We will need something hot come night time. And you are running orders for me so stick around!"

He turns to Zale and Aviz then, addressing them both in turn. "The ropes for you both. You will work em on the deck," he addresses Zale. "And you will take over for the frog. You are a rigger now." he says to Aviz.

"And you will be repairing torn sails and whatever else we need ya to!" He finished with Eskilline.

"Hop to it, all of you!"

Day 5

Esmarelda didn't have time to give Scourge hateful glare. They had more important issues to tend to. So when he assigned her the task that would keep her close to him, she didn't curse or give him a lashing joke. No, she gave him a solid understanding nod as she said "Yes Master Scourge." As much as she hated those words coming out of her mouth she knew that if they where going to live through this they needed to follow orders and work together. Though her stomach turned for quiet some time but she kept right on Scourges' heels till she needed to run off and relay the orders he had given.

This is far closer then I ever wanted to be to this man...

Day 5

G'nosha looked at Es and Aviz with compassion, as the ship was battered by the waves.

Poor guys.

She only nodded at Scourge, and immediately made her way to the kitchen.

Day 4 Night
Zale watched Kroop walk away, a bemused look on his face. He called after the cook. "You as well, Ambrose!"

Day 5
Str check (Diligent): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Con check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Zale went to the work with a will, hauling on the lines through the lashing rain and wind. Some tasks on the ship did not come easily to the young man, but this was honest work, serving to preserve lives - and that, the paladin was more than willing to throw himself into.

Aviz and Sandara-

Sandara sighs, shaking her head softly. "Everyone thinks that being a Pirate is all about robbing people, killing and raiding and it isn't. Pirates come in all different types you know? There are those of us who only take from fat Merchants who are cruel and greedy, from cruel Slavers and from the Chelish Navy because... well, f%+~ those guys!" She grinned.

"You could stay you know? Be the change you would like to be. The law is not always what is the right thing!"

Aviz Day 5-

DM Rolls:
2d6 ⇒ (5, 3) = 8

It takes Aviz a long time to clamber up the mast, losing his grip and slamming in to the deck, more than once, before he makes it to the top. He works diligently while there however and does a good enough job to not be shouted at.

Aviz takes 8 points of damage from his two falls.

Eskilline Day 5-

DM Rolls:
1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Eskilline doesn't fair as well, however, and earns himself a lash from Scourges whip as the man looks over his work. "Do better ya lazy cur or I'll have yeh dragged!"

Eskilline takes 2 points of non-lethal damage and is fatigued.

Esmarelda and Samms-

The woman laughed bitterly and took a swig of her own tankard before nodding. "Aye, parents can be one hell of a f~~%in thorn in our sides. And my friends call me Barefoot, for my well..." She nods down to her feet, wiggling her toes on the deck.

"If'n anyone bothers ya, just let em know yer good with Samms. They will think twice about it at least."

Esmarelda Day 5-

Scourge orders Es around and runs her in to the ground, but the woman holds strong and even earns herself an appreciative nod from the usually cruel man.

"Yeh may not be as useless as I thought!"

G'Nosha-

Kroop is dower and silent as the meal is prepared. It is a simple porridge of fish, hard bread and a mix of vegetables. It was hot and filling and it would certainly warm everyone after the pounding rain and gale force winds.

"Yeh did well girl!" were the only words Kroop said to G'Nosha.

Zale-

Zale finds himself working a line behind a man he does not recognize till they tie it off and step back. Mister Plugg turns around and nods to the tall Paladin before dashing off to work somewhere else. The small nod didn't say much, but let Zale know he had at least done well enough to not be punished.

Nighttime Day 5-

DM Rolls:

1d100 ⇒ 591d100 ⇒ 701d100 ⇒ 121d100 ⇒ 71d100 ⇒ 19

Dinner is served in the middle hold, along with the standard tankard of rum. All entertainment is called for the storm and those not assigned to a watch, are told to go to bed.

Eskilline is the only PC assigned to a watch. Eskilline I will require a Perception check, and a Fort save, along with information on what you do on watch.

Everyone else can either sleep or take a Sneak action.

Es and Samms

Esmarelda laughed as the woman began taking a drink from the tankard once again. "I will keep that in mind madam Barefoot." She said in a playful tone. "Thank you once again for the tankard."

Day 5

Feeling rather proud of herself Esmarelda gives the cruel man an attractive smirk. "Oh master Scourge, I am very useful in a lot of ways. Sadly you'll never know." She shrugged as the smirk left. "Though you can ask Mr. Plugg. Though I doubt he'll want to regale you with tails of our... dalliance."

Sighs Es... You just can't stop when you're ahead can you?

Night 5

Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Esmarelda gladly welcomes the food, but the rum was another story.
After eating and they journey down to the crew deck, Esmarelda does a once over for each of her friends.

First she goes to Aviz, who she knew took a bad fall. "How are you feeling? I'll see about getting Sandara over to take a look at you if deary is doing well." She said.

After him was G'nosha. "How are you feeling? The cook not giving ya any trouble is he?"

Eskikilline was next on her list. She had just coming running up to Scourge as he gave the poor boy his lashing. "I wasn't able to get to you before Scourge's whip came down. For that I apologize. You look a little under the weather so I would suggest getting some sleep." She said giving him a warm smile.

When she came to Zale, a smile played on her face. "We haven't had much time to talk, but you mentioned our first day that you came from Varisia. Are you Varisian or where you just born in that land?" She asked.

She even passed by Samms to make sure the woman was doing alright. "I hope this storm didn't take too much out of you Madam Barefoot." She said with a playful smile.

Finally she came to Zarvas and Sandara, a worried look on her face. "How is he doing? Any sign on improvement?" She varisian woman asked as she came to Sandara's side.

Es and Samms-

"Yer welcome lass. I'm off ta watch some of the games. Have a good night!"

With that, the woman turns and walks away, leaving Es alone with her thoughts.

Es and Scourge-

Scourge stares at the woman before shaking his head and sighing. He turned away.

DM Rolls:

Es takes 6 points of non-lethal damage.

Es and Sandara-

Sandara looks up as Es walks over and shakes her head sadly. "He is alive but wasting. This is beyond my magics and beyond the Doc too. We will just have to wait and see!" She sighed. "He isn't suffering but he needs to be moved somewhere where he can recover. Tomorrow he will be moved to the Docs cabin."

Es and Samms

Esmarelda gave a raised tankard as a "have a good night" before taking a drink of it.

Es and Scourge(....Ew...)

Es looked back at him, hateful fire burning in her eyes as she nursed a split lip and a bruising jaw, she took a few steps back as she muttered "And that right there is why."

Es and Sandara

Esmarelda looked over Zarvas, a sad expression on her face. "....What are his odds Sand?" She asked quietly. Thought she feared what the cleric would say.

Es and Scourge-

Scourge began to laugh cruelly as he stepped forward again glaring. "Girl you know nothin about me, NOTHIN! I'd rather be f~@!ed by a Chimera than touch yer filthy hide. Now get the f*!# off my deck before I stick ya in that box for the night!"

Sense Motive DC20:
Scourge really seems to find it amusing that Es thinks he is attracted to her, when nothing could be further from the fact.

Es and Sand-

Sand sighs before standing. "He will live but the fever has burned through his body. He'll never get his strength back."

His experiences with these lawless brigands have changed a lot of his perspectives on pirates, and he's trying to figure out what to do about it all. On one hand he intends to hand them all into the law when he gets the chance, but there are a few people who just seem trapped in a bad situation or don't seem too bad.

Aviz's thoughts are interrupted as Es comes back over to him. He grunts and shrugs. "Sore as hell. Rigging's hard to climb with all that wind."

Sandara arches an eyebrow, staring down at the small sleeping Grippli. "Well... I would usually say kill him but... He is a spellcaster right? They will probably sell him off to someone next time we set port somewhere where that sort of thing happens!"

She explained. After a few moments she just sighed. "But it seems like you don't really want a friend so... If you wish I will stop trying. But I want to hear you say it." She said as she stood. Zale had nodded to Esmarelda in response to her question about his heritage, explaining his Varisian heritage. He would have gone on, talking about his Sczarni relatives and his more noble ancestors before, but found himself growing quiet as their little group moved over to stand by Zarvas's unconscious form.

He looked silently down at the little frog man, his expression pained. He eased himself down to a sitting position, leaning up against a beam as he contemplated Zarvas, and the ministrations of Sandara Quinn. He didn't intend to eavesdrop, but in the relative quiet of the shipboard night, he couldn't help but overhear some of the conversation between Aviz and Esmarelda. Looking up sharply at the mention of her mistreatment at Scourge's hands, his fists balled involuntarily, but instead of rising to act on the sudden fury, he found himself staring at those fists - at the mark of the Pirate Queen's skull and crossbones covering up the sunburst of Iomedae's Radiant Sword emblazoned on the back of his right hand.

His gaze rose to watch Sandara for a few moments, and his hands relaxed, his posture slumping as he rested his arms on his knees. His voice was barely a whisper as he prayed.

"Inheritor...Black Lady...whichever of you is listening; I don't understand what it is you want from me here. If you're simply toying with me, seeing how far I can go before I break or fall, then I suppose it doesn't matter... but if you want something more of me, if there's a purpose to my being here - then I need some guidance. Give me a direction, and I will sail off the edge of the map to get there...but..." his eyes flicked in Esmarelda's direction, taking in her bruised cheek, and he fell silent, his lips pressed together in a tense line.

He ran a hand through his hair and leaned forward, his chin resting on his folded arms - a relatively small, pathetic figure in deep contrast to the confidence the dashing young man usually tried to project.

G'nosha was a bit surprised by Kroop's silence, but she chose to do her job without speaking.

Night 5

The half-orc ate her porridge, and drank her usual tankard of rum in small gulps. They had been now working for pirates for almost a week. The job didn't really bothered her: she had been working on boats for several years as a teenager, she was used to it. What was revolting her was the servitude.

And she couldn't think of a plan to leave without getting killed. Yet...

Esmarelda Valarie wrote:
"How are you feeling? The cook not giving ya any trouble is he?"

The young woman's voice brought G'nosha back to reality.

"Kroop? Nay, he's fine. Not a problem. And y- What happened to you?" she suddenly asked, catching a glimpse of a huge bruise on Esmarelda's cheek.

Es and Aviz

Esmarelda's fingers gently moved under Avizs' chin, turning him to look at her. "I'm not asking for help with Scourge, I can handle him. When it comes to respecting you abilities, while I do, it doesn't sway the fact that I like who you are one way or the other." She said before she removed her hand and crossed her arms. "As for never having anyone but your father care about you, well I don't mind being your first." She told him with a smirk on her lips as she gave him a wink. "If you ever feel like I'm just treating you like a big muscled wall, talk to me. I can't change anything if I don't know what is wrong." She said.

Es and Zale

Esmarelda felt eyes upon her and looked around till she noticed Zale. She moved to his side crossing her arms. "Something wrong sweetheart?" She asked with a soft voice. "... It's the bruise isn't it?" She added soon after with the sigh, "Does it look that bad?"

Es and G'nosha

Esmarelda couldn't help but laugh a bit at G'nosha's change in tone. Well only a bit till her bruise reminded her it was there. "I sassed off to Scourge. He back handed me." She explained simply. "I'm just lucky he wasn't wearing a ring, else it would be imprinted upon my cheek." She said as she tapped it gently enough that it wouldn't hurt. "So Lovely, it seems at least one of us likes the person we work for. You got lucky." She told her.

The storm rages on outside the portholes, wind and rain pounding the boat with the full fury of the elements. You manage to grab enough sleep to wake up feeling, not refreshed, but at least not exhausted (apart from Eskilline who, having been relieved sometime around 4th bell, only grabbed about two hours sleep). Aviz and Es both managed to find their sealegs during the night, and awaken to settled stomachs.

As you make your way up on deck, you are met not by Scourge but by Plugg. The man looks at you each in turn before turning and pointing to the deck.

"Rigger up the main mast. I need top eyes. The rest of you haul rope and do whatever you are told, Cooks assistant included!"

With that he turns and moves off to do his work.

Aviz needs to make climb checks up to 60 foot then a Perception check and a Fortitude save.

Everyone else needs to make strength checks and a Fortitude save.

No actions again, bar work diligently

Place yourselves where you wish to be working, on the Roll20 map. Aviz will of course be in the crows nest.

Also, assume that Sandara heals away any physical injuries you suffered, before you slept the night before.

Esmarelda raised an eyebrow as she smiled at the strix. "Oh my my, be still my heart." She said. "You should smile a bit more handsome." She winked. "Get some rest Aviz. You might need it."

Day 6

Esmarelda's face takes on a look of surprise when she found Plugg before them, not Scourge. Though she welcomed the change since that meant she wouldn't have to deal with the man who backhanded her the previous day. When he dished out their tasks for the day Esmarelda gave him a nod. "Aye, Aye Mr. Plugg." She said before looking to her friends. "Keep your wits about you." She moved past Plugg onto the deck to start to work.
