"Let's keep moving. The sooner we are done with this stinking place the better."

Ozak heads down the hall at the front of the group.

If we don't mind moving cautiously instead of fast, Ozak will take a standard action for full defense, then a move forward every round. So his AC will be 26 and Touch will be 19 (though flat-footed AC remains the same).

Choot will remain at the back of the party watching for dangers that may close in from behind.

Sorry for the silence, life got the better of me for the moment.

Thoku kicks open the wooden doors, revealing a large arched chamber filled with death and rot. Instead of the sickly sweet scent of flowers and the constant light of the Burning Angel, a massive briar patch and layers of thick litter form high mounds standing nearly to the tops of small trees! Hundreds of fungi choke out any attempt for healthy plants to take root, and the air is heavy with the stench of decay and spores. At the far end of the room, a large wooden chest sits atop a high mound of rotting plants.

Rodents scurry about the warren of thorn-covered mounts beneath the dim-light from the ceiling nearly sixty-feet above. Beyond these vermin, nothing moves. .

"More lives for Mighty Thoku! Hahahahahaha!" Jugag said as he opened fire. War-rain falls from the sky, sent by Jugag's mighty giant-bone bow. The creature bursts to life, thorny vines thrashing in the air, wildly. One catches an arrow with ease, snapping it with barely a thought. But, his second arrow strikes true and sends a torrent of sticky sap from the heart of the great beast!

Choot calls up on the grave power of the Destroyer, summoning a bolt of the chilling shadows of the Doombringer's great cave. But, he's forced to duck under a flailing vine and his bolt flies wide, rotting a portion of the wooden walls behind the brambles. As the beast moves, Choot's keen eyes can spot a mighty sword deep beneath its body!

Beside Choot, the tree-shaman cackles. With a burning fire brightening his cold blue eyes, Arkhan waves his fingers, spitting harsh, hurtful hated words. The druid then waves his right hand toward the filth, producing an angry flame. Fire erupts from the brambles, sending an acrid black smoke into the air! The beast thrashes, ending the flames, but still it smolders and smokes.

"That thing is called a barmbleblight. It has been known to kill the strongest of warriors. So whoever is strongest should hang back." Ozak eyes the creature carefully, and creeps carefully towards the brambleblight until he is 10' away. He works with Verex's craft, using the attacks of his brothers to distract his movement. It is a wise tactic against a mortal foe. But, the Brambleblight is no mere mortal! It is a creature born of the spirit world! It sees Ozak's guile for what it is, and strikes with a single tentacle.

The creature pulses, and the mounds surrounding the Tribe burst to life. Thorn-filled maws snap, spraying sap as sword-lined vines thrash in the air. More thorn-covered vines erupt from the floors tangling about the fist's feet!

TWF +1 Double Axe (main hand) +2 Studied Target: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 2 = 111d8 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 13 + 2 = 21
TWF Mwk Double Axe (off hand) +2 Studied Target: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 7 + 2 = 271d8 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 2 = 14

Round 2

initiative:

Arkhan Silvinesti: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Choot Othul: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Jugag: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Kern Dead-Eye: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Ozak: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Thoku Blood Drinker: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Brambleblight: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

"You will all die for Mighty Thoku!" Jugag roars as he tries to break free of the vines. He struggles, pulling at the thorny vines. The muscles of his mighty thews bulge with corded strength, and with a mighty heave, he tears the vines free from his flesh, standing whole and safe once more.

Beside Jugag, Choot cackles, "Die foul plant!" Once more he presents his (un)holy symbol seeking to snuff out the life force of the thing. He summons the cold darkness of Zagresh's cave, and feels it well up inside him. The Doom of All Things seeks the end of life, even this false life of the wyrdwood around him. A black ray of shadow bursts from the shaman's mouth and strikes at the creature's side. Where the shadow touched, vines withered and rotted away, falling to dust upon the ground.

Choot's got issues...:

OK, so he is both entangled and grappled. which is interesting. entangle does -2 attack and -4 to dex (net -4 on ranged attacks]. Grappled does the same thing, which is a net -8 to ranged attacks. He rolled a 21 that gives him an 13. But! This is a TOUCH attack! BWHAHAHAHAHA ya, that's a hit.
plant now needs to make a DC 20 Fort save for half damage
DC 20 fort: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30 ya.. that's a made only takes 6 points of damage

Arkhan Stormbrother screams in rage as the vines tangle about him more tightly, trapping his movements within them. He summons another ball of flame and hurls it across the room. His smoke is a powerful casting and flies with the Thunderer's own eye. It burns and flickers through the air and crashes at the roots of the wytch-plant. It thrashes the air in rage, flailing its vines with impotent fury as its roots and vines burn benath the fury of Arkhan's flames!

Burn, Baby Burn:

Arkhan is grappled. That's -2 to attack and -4 to Dexterity (net -4 to ranged attacks). He rolled at 16 -4 = 12 for his ranged attack. This is against TOUCH attack, though, so BWAHAHAHAHA it's hit! Now you can burn things, like Link with the Flame Rod from Link's Awakening!

It gets no save, so it takes all 7 points of damage

At the far end of the room, Ozak pounces! Like a mighty beast, stalking its prey, Daggertooth slipped across the hall, never once taking his eyes off his prize. Then, with Verex' own speed, he darts forward, slamming one end of his orcblade into the foul spirit-plan. "Time to chop some wood!" He feels wood crunch beneath the might of his steel, splinters and sap rain upon his head like Rull's own waters. Then, he follows up with a savage bite, feeling the creature's thorns tear at his face and maw, even as he own mighty tusks pulverize its vines into kindling! Sticky green sap runs down his chin, mingled with his own blood as he rips a vine away from the tangled mass!

The spirit-plant whips its vines in a frenzy. Its sword-like thorn glisten in the light of Arkhan's fires. The creature has felt the sting of Ozak's might, and it thirsts for vengeance. Daggertooth ducks beneath one vine, but a second vine catches him in the back. Daggers slip past his armor and bite his flesh. He feels bones snap beneath the force of the blow! Yet, still, mighty Ozak stands! He has tasted the blood of this creature, and will not rest until he has slaked his thirst with its life-waters!

Its spirit-slaves each attack the Fist with their dagger-lined vines! Jugag feels the throns dig deep into this flesh, binding his limbs once more. And everyone, save Ozak, feels the vines slowly tighten about them, crushing their bones and digging daggers into their mighty thews! Choot feels the call of Zagresh, and knows that soon he will count himself among the Doombringer's horde.

Beside him, Razorbeak pulls at the vines, exposing the creature's flank to Grell's claws and fangs! More of the foul wyrd-wood's sap covers the warcat's great muzzle as her fangs crush another vine!

Is that as the spell entangle? So do we get saves then?

Checked for the save when the spell went off. peeps failed, some didnt, but stayed in the area of effect (the room), so they got a second save. the entangled effect is break-freeable as a move action (strength check or escape artists DC 15). It's considered difficult terrain and gives 1 hp of damage for failing to to break free (failed save or check, not moving. moving is ok)
