Can I take a 5' step and then ready/delay?

I want to step 5' south, which will give Kern the chance to get into flanking position. After Kern and Jugag have gone, Ozak will full attack. If the Fey that they attacked is still up then his attacks will first resolve against the Fey he is flanking. Then, once that fey is down any remaining attacks will be against the fey he is not flanking. I have moved my icon.

Ozak steps to the south, away from Thoku.

"Now we can see you, you cowards!"

Full attacking:

Primary 50% miss chance? (1 is a possible hit): 1d2 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
Secondary 50% miss chance? (1 is a possible hit): 1d2 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
Bite 50% miss chance? (1 is a possible hit): 1d2 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0

He swings his axe and bites at the vaporous figure, but cannot see well enough to land a blow.

Yes, you still take the miss chance even if you've pinpointed them. Think of it as you know which square they're in, but can't aim for them within that square.

Initiative:

Arkhan Silvinesti: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Choot Othul: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Jugag: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Thoku Blood Drinker: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Antagonists: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

So.... deleted email 5 times... grrrr also, i don't think i have Kern's action so If this ISN'T what he would do.. um.. tell me and I'll make it something different. Aaaaaand Arkhan and I bumped heads. I thought he was talking about LAST round, and I think he ws but didn't get clear confirmation from me. And, Ozak actually got 2 attacks through the miss chance. So, Kern, Ozak, and Arkahn can post their Orcy actions (not pets, though, I took care of that before I realized the booboo) and i'll resolve when I get them.

Miss chances:

Before I deleted the email, all 3 strikes hit on the 20% miss chance. If they move the previous round, they only have a 20% miss chance.
Plus, it tried to stand and Thoku did a killing blow...

The Blood-drinker, mighty chief of the Bleeding Storm sinks his tusks and claws into the spirit-flesh of the coward. Orc strength tears through the weak meat of the spirits, spilling rivers of golden life upon the bridge. The creature falls to the floor as the Chief drags it down. It tries to stand, fighting back against fierce Thoku. But, Mighty Thoku pounces on his foe, his mighty jaw clamping about the spirit's neck. With a mighty shake of his powerful shoulders, he sends his foe's head sailing through the air.

Kern Dead-Eye commands his creatures to attack the light-spirits. With quick motions, he sends his slaves screeching and howling to surround one of the other spirits. Guided by the light-scent of their prey, they pounce.

Kern has learned well Lanistra's craft, shaping his beasts into deadly slaves of his will. With fierce blood lust, they pounce on their foe ripping and devouring large gobbets of spirit-flesh and they tear it apart with their fangs and claws. It tries to stand, some shred of strength steels its spine. Its meat will strength the Fist when it falls. It strives to fight, but falls once more, yet still clinging to life.

Energy pulses through his arm, and launches towards the creature as Thrull, continues to hold at the Chieftain's side lashing out at a target whether there or not, he is after all naught but a walking shell.

Zagresh's shadow falls upon spirit of light, and consumes its life. Pieces of it fall away as specks of black shadow as it screams in agony. It doubles over in pain, ducking under the strike from Choot's corpse-slave!

Jugag takes a step back to stand beside Ozak's flank and launches twin arrows the size of trees from his mighty bow. War-rain falls like the spears of the Thunderer and sprout saplings from the spirit's chest. It collapses beside Grell and Razorbeak, falling into a pile of black ash and dust.

Double checking:

Is the invisibility effect of the spirits gone? Are they now visible? If they are still invisible this gives a 50% miss chance even if we have pinpointed their location. If they are fully visible but concealed by 5 feet of the obscuring mist spell then it is only 20%.

If they are invisible and being attacked through obscuring mist, some GMs would require two miss chance rolls to be made (one for the mist and one for invisibility). When I GM I normally just go with the most serious roll.

The spirit screams in agony and collapses to the wooden blanks, dissolving into motes of black and gold. Beside him, Kern strikes out with his bone-beak, sinking it deep into the spirit's thigh. Golden water showers down on the hunter, and the spirit responds in kind, striking at one-eye with his dagger.

OK, now confused. The thing wasn't moving when I attacked, so it should have been invisible and I should have missed three times? Unless you mean that when they move they remain visible afterwards for a full round?

For now I'll just roll the miss chance with a d100 and let it lie.

Ozak turns and shuffles further south along the bridge.

5' step south. Now flanking one Lurker with Choot.

Darn Obscuring Mist...

Sorry, i fell into a work-hole. I'm much better now, though
The fist descend on the last spirit, tearing it to shreds with the strength of their mighty thews. The spirit gasps in agony and explodes in a shower of glowing dust leaving the Fist alone on the bridge. Their chief blind, they stand triumphant yet bloodied.

At the end of the bridge, two wooden doors stand ready to be opened.

You can press on, but you're hurt pretty bad, and Thoku's blind.

Kern has loads of healing available at the moment (up to 5 casts of cure light) so if we used those and then rested, we could set out in the morning. Perhaps our druid could also prepare remove blindness?

Negative, I am only a level 3 Cleric

Choot inspects the Chieftan's eyes. "Mighty Thoku, this is a test! The Destroyer deems this challenge too paltry for your abilities. You must continue this quest unable to see, then will you prove your worth to him! For now, rest we need. On the 'morrow we enter these doors and destroy this accursed forest and the fey who dwell here. Not for hlding what is rightfully ours but for the foulness of their mere existence is an affront to the Gods of our people!"

I say we rest. I'll use the rest of the heals I have to bring us up and we can start out again tomorrow.

well night have never dealt with a blind character before but hay looks like I got a use for the evolution point dragon gave me. Now when I use the evolution surge spell I can get that pinpoint sent ability lol

The bloody one grunts in agreement to his doom speakers words. The bloody chief makes some arcane gestures as holy orc symbols branded on to his sacred skin glow red the a dull blue as the mighty chief's mussels swell back to their original size.

After a moment passes thoku stiff about walking to each of the dead fay tearing off the head of each one then using the days hair he ties them to his waist. He turns his blackened orbs falling in each of his fist..

"are you ready to move on or do you need to rest your steel" the chief grumbles seaming unfazed by his blindness

yes I will be walking around with the rotating heads about my waist ^_^
casting restore eilodon to remove the strength damage
hay just had a thought of we still had the rage witch this would be a good opportunity for her to take me on lol

Wow.. that's seriously awesome. Gonna update tomorrow. as it's quite light and i want this post to be awesome for you

That night, the Tribe sleeps the sleep of the victorious. The Chiefs in Fire and Blood have tested the Tribe of the Bleeding Storm. They have taken the sight from Mighty Thoku to test his fitness to lead. Wounds bound, the Fist rises the next day hale and hardy. They stomp across the wooden bridge to another set of carved doors. These doors refuse to open as the ones in the entryway did, but they soon are reduced to splinters by the sharp blades of their mighty axes!

Beyond the doors is a large room with a massive throne crafted of bound dead branches and thorny vines. To the west and north stand double doors. And old wizened orc crone slips through the western doors into the room.

The druid watches warily as they enter this cursed-fey place.
perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19

Arkhan prepares to cause the crone to fear Rull, if his chief but points....

Male Shadow's Status | Orc Cleric 3 (Undead Lord) /Sorcerer 4 (Ghoul Touched Bloodline) | HP=72/72 | 7/7 Channels | AC=20 | Init. +2 | F +7 | R +3 | W +12 | Per +6 | Cold Resistance 5

Choot eyes the Crone warily but says nothing as Thoku has already asked the most relevant question.

Male Half-Orc Slayer 7 | HP 43/91 | AC 20, T 13, FF 18, CMD 23 | Fort +8, Ref +8, Will +6 | Init +3 | Perception +18 (+19 vs surprise), Sense Motive +13, darkvision 60'

Ozak eyes the crone warily.

"I did not expect to see another orc here," he says, leaving the question hanging.

Ozak watches the crone carefully until he thinks he has sized her up. Using Studied Target on her. Making some rolls for watching the crone:

Perception (+ST): 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 10 + 2 = 21
Sense Motive (+ST): 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 10 + 2 = 14
Knowledge: Local (+ST): 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 2 = 13 Or Dungeoneering. Subtract 4 if Knowledge (nature) would apply instead.

BTW do we regain 5 HP for resting here? Or is this one of those planes where natural healing doesn't occur?

healing is double effectice

The crone bares her neck in submission to Mighty Thoku, Chief of the Bleeding Storm. I am Ewigga of the Haruspsex. The smokes of the Great Cauldron scent me visions of this wyrd place and the ancient weapons it holds. They showed Ewigga the way to burn the hides that separate the worlds and walk the smoke-bridge. Here, I search for the Well-- the source of power of this world.

anyone rolling higher than a 21 sense motive:

This crone is ill-met in this place. The Tribe had to fight their way through the walking dead, and rival tribes. How did this one crone accomplish such a task?

Male 1/2 Orc Druid (Storm) 2 Initiative+4 AC 17 Hp 19/07 Fort +7 Ref +4, Will +9 Perception +9 DV 60'

sense motive: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

Choot eyes the Crone warily

Sense Motive 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

but sees no reason not to believe her.

"And what have you learned from what you have seen Ewigga?"

He also activates the Kilt to heal the damage done to his body (strength drain) Lesser Restoration 1d4 ⇒ 3.

Many things, shaman of the Doombringer! Ewigga has learned that the spirits are unnatural creatures! The light itself cuts us, and fills our souls with shadows! They hide everywhere in this worthless world! The plants, they live as well and strike us all with poisons and death! The vault is guarded by fierce creatures... I have seen them. To mynshame, they have kept me from entering. And giants, they know of this place, too. They have sought it for many years!
