You all stand in the grand council room of Animus after being summoned for unknown reasons. All any of you know was one of the renowned clockwork soldiers of Animus appeared before you with an Avari messenger with a letter. The letter requested that you meet with Archmagi Ena Glyn and Grand Inventor Peadair Abbas in a months time. Today is the date mentioned in the letter, and here you are with others that you do not know.

As you look around the room, you noticed the gears and runes that decorate the walls. Standing next to the walls like statues of ancient heroes are more clockwork soldiers of Animus. Each has a different type of weapon that is held at the ready. In the middle of the room is a large rectangular table with ten seats, two large seats at the head of the table and four smaller seats on each side. Each of the seats is filled. The large seat to your left has a young Fakir woman sitting down looking at you. She has long dark colored hair, pale skin, pointed ears and almond shaped dark orange colored eyes. She is holding a pale staff made of an odd material, that is topped with a large gray crystal and is wearing dark colored robes. To her left is a elderly male Ferrin, with a dark silver colored hide, emerald colored eyes and his horns seems to grow about an inch from his head. He is wearing a coat over a shirt and long pants. He has a medallion around his next that seems to be a in the shape of a rune that shines strangely in the light. The others at the table are of varying ages and gender, but most are Ferrin and Fakir.

The group at the table stares at you all for a long moment before the Ferrin stands up he than says in a rough voice ”Please come forward, I do believe you all wish to know why we have summoned you here.” He waits for the group to walk forward before starting to speak once again ”I am Grand Inventor Peadair Abbas, and this is “ he motions to the woman next to him she than stands up before speaking as well ”I am Archmagic Ena Glyn. We have called you all here because we have been informed of some unbelievable news.” she says in a voice as clear as crystal, she than studies the group before sitting back down. Peadair turns to her and nods before starting up where she left off ” We have been informed that the Church of Light, which follows the teaching of the High Priestess, and the Sentinel is a lie. Everything that is taught is a lie, to trick the masses. If this was not enough, many of the members of the Church commit evils so vile, I cannot speak them aloud. If these evils were not enough we were also told that much of history as we know it, is wrong. It seems the Church has been over the years changing history to suit their needs.” He says each word with such sadness that anyone could tell he was a follower of the Church. ”We were also informed that the High Priestess and the Sentinel were not gods but just normal mortals very powerful mortals but still mortals.”

He seems very shaken by what he just had to say he sits down, this is when Ena stands once again ”We were told by the one whom informed us of all this, told us to find each of you. We were tasked to ask if you all would help, topple this false religion that has been plaguing our people for hundreds of years. I know this is much to take in but will you help us?”

Asriel stands and bows, clears his throat, and begins to warm up his lecturers voice, convinced that there will be much discussion to be had. "It is a great honor to be summoned here, but I find it hard to believe what I am being told. It is not that I believe the Church to be incapable of such deeds, as power often leads to corruption, and I have no love for the Church. However, I find it strange that I have some role to play in this, and I must express a great curiosity in your source for this information."

Chuluun landed in a nearby courtyard with Erke, before transforming back into his natural self. He motioned Erke to perch on this padded shoulder before making his way to the grand council room. Upon entering the room, he quickly moved into a nearby corner, where he could observe the rulers and advisors at the table, the clockwork soldiers standing around the room, and finally the other strangers that have also gather.

Not knowing why he was summoned, his mind was racing around with various thoughts: Why would the Rulers of Animus want to summon a simple druid. Is it perhaps requiring my help with restoring another area to it's natural state once more. Perhaps to help write policies on protecting nature and how industries are to work in harmony with nature. Is it to do with that robbery that took place two months ago. It was only a small amount of gold coin taken. And it is for a good cause after all.

When Peadair request the strangers to move towards the table, Chuluun moves little slower than the rest, reluctantly to be any closer to the rulers. He notices the star steel medallion Peadair is wearing to be the Medallion of Thought. He stiffens slightly before regain his composure to being relaxed and calm, I truly hope he does not use that medallion on me, else they going to discover I was the perpetrator to that robbery. I can't be captured, nature still needs my help., yet his eyes moving about the room constantly looking for possible escape routes.

As the rulers speak, he listens carefully. His mouth opens slightly from shock of hearing the accusation about the Church of Light of being lies, then a slight smile forms, It is not about the robbery. Thank you Liluri, blessed Lady of the Wilds, for protecting me once more so I may still continue the good work in thy name.

He quickly refocusses on what being said, catching the part about the High Priestess and Sentinel being mere mortals than being deities.

Chuluun raises his hand slowly, reluctantly to draw attention to himself, to become the main focus in the room. When seeing Ena acknowledging his request to speak, he speaks softly, "May Liluri bless our fine rulers of Animus for many wise years to come. For we, the druids, have not heard any horrific stories from our fellow druids on the island kingdom. There has been no reports of any destruction taking place, which is normally associated with evil activities. How sure are you of the Church of Light actually doing these evil deeds that you are accusing them of?"

The man at the back of the council room looked completely out of place. He looked more like a farmer than anything else. His clothes were undyed and rough, stained with sweat and drink. He stood near a wall, his shoulders hunched and unmoving. He watched from beneath his hood, unhappy eyes scanning each of the others. For now, he simply listened.

Well, I guess this all depends. If this is true, and I'm not saying it is or isn't, if this is true, what can we do? Why us? What capabilities do you think we have that could help in this cause? Who is this person that sent you to find us? When do we get to meet him or her?

Fafhrd waited in silence as he allowed himself to digest the news. His buzz had flown the coop with such outrageous news.

The Church of Light was to be among the good of the good. How could such an outstanding structure of many people's daily lives be so corrupt?

...

After Ena spoke of meeting their informant, Fafhrd stepped forward and chose to talk after giving a curt bow of respect for their positions.

"You ask much of us on faith and while I am a man that puts much pride in his ability to believe, my belief lies with Gurzil. Thusly, my word is not given lightly. While it is true I seek glory, as is my right, I would ask for more then mere assurances before I give you something so valuable to me."

"You did not request us to be here.", Chuluun looks up in deep thought for a moment, trying to figure out why he and the other strangers are brought together.

"Forgive me, elected rulers. I have to agree with what some of us that have been summoned here.", giving a sweeping motion of his arm to the strangers nearby, "Who is this 'person'? Would like to know why this 'person' choose us. Strange that the 'person' requested the rulers of Animus to summon us without informing to why we were selected. I simply can't see why I was chosen for this quest, considering I am only a simple druid, son of a poor miner of a little village to the north.".

He points his hand to Greyson Caine, "This person here sense there is fear amongst you regarding this 'person', and brave enough to state it so. This just makes me think, there is something very much sinister taking place right here.", pauses for a short period, "Perhaps the real reason is to use us to start a war with the Church of Light.".

Chuluun half turns to face the strangers to his one side, "Frankly I have better things to do, like working with people to treat nature better, than to go on trips to start wars for people that even control our leaders to do their bidding.".

Ena looks at Caine and Chuluun in total shock she is about to speak when a powerful voice speaks ”They are very much like their ancestors.” The voice seems to have come from no where, the voice also demanded respected and fear at the same time. The group at the table all pale as they hear the voice, Ena sits than gives the group a stare as to say you should of just answered.
The air before them than seems to have a crack in it as if it was glass. The crack grows larger before it starts to widen, once it is about twenty feet tall and eight feet wide a large humanoid shaped being walks through. The being is covered in a dark cloak that covers all of its body and face. All that can be seen of its face are two gray glowing eyes. Even though the cloak is covering the being's body you can tell it has a powerful build.

The being than starts to speak once more ”Well since it seems you do not take things on faith maybe you will take it with a show of power.” The being stops for a moment than says ”Kneel” with that spoken all of you kneel. The being shakes its head before saying ”Well, I should not of expected much from Decimus' descendants but I did expect different from Cadeyrn's and Adeline's.” The being walks up to each of you looking at you. Its eyes seem to see into your very soul before walking to the next person. When finished the being stands before you all ”My full title is Watcher of Darkness and Light. Most call me the Watcher. I am the one who gave the leaders of Animus information on the Church of Light.” Watcher than turns to Caine ”I know how authority has ruined you before but I thought you of all people would jump at the chance to stop the Church of Light. “ Watcher next looks at Chuluun ”I did not ask them to start a war. You not doing as I tell you to do will, than your precious nature will be burned.” Looking at Fafhrd the watchers seems to smile ”Gurzil is such a nice youth, with good ideals. It is good you share them.” When turning to Viktor the Watcher notices his sword ”Oh, I see you have in your possession an old 'friend', but who I bet is just speaking lovely things about me.” Finally the watcher turns to Asriel ”A scholar like Adeline that is good.”

After speaking to each in turn the Watcher moves its hands from under its cloak, which seems to have a form fitting suit of black and white on them, a massive book than appears the book is white and silver with runes. The Watchers than begins to speak ”As for why you, all were chosen, it is very simple. You are all descendants of the generals of the 1st legion.” Pausing for a moment the Watcher to open the book before speaking once more ”Greyson Caine, Fafhrd 'The Fallen' Dragonbane, and Viktor Stasiuk, you all belong to the blood of Warlord Decimus, the mightiest of warriors and one of the best tacticians to walk Saeniri. Asriel Collins, you are of the blood of Sage Adeline the greatest mage and most learned scholar of Saeniri. Chulunn, you are of the blood of Cadeyrn, the greatest smith and guard of Saeniri.” The Watcher pauses for a moment to look at the book before speaking again ”The blood that runs through your veins is the same blood that has saved Saeniri from destruction, twice, the blood of heroes. Now that you know why, you are asked to do this, will you do it or do I have to show you the horrors the Church of Light has committed?”

Caine knelt last, obviously surprised by his own actions. Looking up at the enormous figure he replied in a strong tone.

"I'm all for bringing down the church. I've just learned to consider the source. I've waited a long time for the world to notice what I have. Now all of a sudden people track me down, haul me here and tell me exactly what I always wanted to hear? You'll forgive me if I'm skeptical. I've been used before by people using the same sort of words and displays of power."

Asriel stares blankly at the being before him, remaining calm in spite of the situation. His mind races, trying to take in all that is being told to him, trying to piece together the information. Chuluun looks about rapidly upon hearing the powerful voice, then focusses on the strange phenomenon that appears before them. As the being appears, Ah, guess this must be a gate to some plane. This stranger is sure powerful to open gates.

He see himself uncontrollably kneeling before this powerful being, Who is this 'person'? What does he want with us?

With the gaze, he becomes increasingly nervous and uneasy, He calls himself Watcher. To be more precise Watcher of Darkness and Light. Never heard of this being.

As the Watcher speaks to him directly, Chuluun eyes widen with fright and shock by the ultimatum given to him. Liluri, my Lady of the Wilds, please give me guidance here. I really need help in deciding what to do. Please answer my request.

For a brief moment a smile forms, Is the 1st Legion really not a myth? If it is true and I am the descendent of Cadeyrn, then it is good to know I am the descendent of the most practical general of the 1st Legion..

His attention turns to Greyson as he speaks of first hand experience of the Church of Light's dark dealings. He notices Asriel pledge his loyalty to the Watcher with ease, surprising him a little. Chuluun whisper to the closest person to him while pointing a finger to the powerful robed being before them, "Do you have any idea who this Watcher is? I never heard of this person before. Though he does seem to be powerful for sure."

The Watchers seems to smile as it answers Caine's question ”I am what you, would refer to as a god. Now if that is not enough to get you to listen to me as the other two have, than I will tell you what I am the god of. I am the god of history, knowledge, and truth. I have written and watched all that has come to past in Saeniri since its earliest days.” The Watcher than lifts its book so the group can see ”This is the record of Saeniri. There are records in this book that go back from before the old races walked Saeniri, to when the old gods were youths as the new gods are now. This is what leads us to the problem at hand. I have seen the most of the evils the Church of Light has done but than the record stopped writing about some of their events and I could not see those events. It has been happening more and more often now. The problem at hand now is this has happened only once before, this was when the invaders came.” The Watchers pauses before speaking once again ”As I have told Chuluun, there cannot be a war with the Church of Light, they will win and finish whatever plan they are attempting. This is why you are to stop the Church, you must stop them before they get to finish whatever evil they are currently committing.”

Caine looked the Watcher straight in the eye, weighing the God before him an the same manor He weighed them, or trying, at least.

"If you're the god of history then you know that I've heard this speech before. I was sent to deal with the enemies of the last gods I followed. I was convinced then. The Sentinal was on my side." he said with a sneer. "I killed a lot of people for doing nothing more than what we're here talking about. I'm not so convinced anymore. I saw what blind faith gets you. You want my help? Convince me. I'll never follow another God unless I know for sure they're worthy of the title."

Chuluun's lower jaw drops at the mention of the Watcher being a god, accidental speaking softly out his thoughts, "He is a god. Since becoming a disciple of Liluri she has not appeared to me. Yet an ancient god appears to ask us mere mortals to stop this evil.".

He intentionally speaks out aloud, "The Church is definitely up to something really bad to be able to block out an ancient god's ability to see what is going on within the Church of Light.".

He raises his hand, "May I ask this. Out of all the 1st Legion's descendants, why did you pick us to stop this evil?".

He thinks to himself, Why did Liluri not ask me to help rid a devastating evil that is planning to undo her work of restoring Saeniri after the last invasion.

Fafhrd's eyes looked about with a sense of suspicion as a powerful voice seem to fall upon his ears from seemingly no visible source.

Then, suddenly having found himself kneeling upon the floor in front of a human-like figure that appeared mere moments before, Fafhrd would start to shake with rage.

Who was this being to command him?

Silently, he held his consuming rage at bay as he tried to give the being a chance to explain itself. Then, when given a chance, he spoke through clenched teeth.

"A child of Gurzil I am, however a descendant of Warlord Decimus I am not so sure of. That war happened long ago... But knowing Gurzil as my deity, what makes you think I would accept this treatment with arms wide open?"

As he spoke, he stared down the supposed deity with a barely tempered anger that was apparent in his voice. It was clear he did not appreciate being forced to kneel against his will.

Turning to the other descendants of the 1st Legion, Asriel speaks with all of the authority he can muster.

"The being standing before us is indeed a god, one that is mentioned only briefly in the oldest of tomes. His existence predates the pantheon as we know it, and until now, I believed him to be a myth. I understand your suspicion at the words he speaks, but perhaps you will trust the words of a scholar of my acclaim."

He glares at Caine, adding the slightest of condescending tones to his voice.

"You seem to know first hand of the wrongdoings of the church, and yet, when presented with your destiny to overthrow them, by the only truly reliable source on the matter, you have the gall to question his authority? Forgive me for speaking so harshly, but I feel that you in particular should see the rightness of these claims."

Gesturing to the whole of the group, he adds, "I trust the words of The Watcher, and I implore that you do the same."

How about you bite into that coin before you try and spend it, eh? I ain't trading one lying sack for another. You might not need any more convincing than having to stare up at someone and be told to kneel, but I do. You want to sneer at me for that, you can politely go f~%+ yourself."

Chuluun thinks for a while before looking directly at the Watcher to speak firmly, with as much bravery he can muster, "As you stated. You an ancient god, who records the history of Saeniri. I did not even know you existed until today.", pauses to take a deep breath, "Lady Liluri, is my goddess who I follow. I known about the Lady of the Wilds for a number of years already, became a druid to help her with her quest to restore Saeniri to it's former beauty before the invaders came. Yet you expect me to do this quest, to follow your blindly. I am sorry to disappoint you, I am not going to changing from Lady Liluri just because you appeared before me.".

He looks briefly at Erke thinking for a moment, before a smile forms, "I will make a deal with you Watcher. If Lady Liluri agrees with your quest, and instructs me to help you in this quest then I will do my best to succeed in completing the quest.", pauses briefly with larger smile forming, "Seeing you are a deity, you should have no hassle in contacting Lady Liluri. Remember, even if I do this quest, Lady Liluri will still be my deity who I follow. ".

The Watcher seems to grin after hearing the group speak it than speaks once more turning to look at Chuluun ”You are the only descendants left. As for Liluri you wish for her to appear herself or is her herald sufficient enough?” The Watcher next turns to Fafhrd and Caine ”You both do indeed have Decimus' blood.” The Watcher turns to Fafhrd “Such temper, I suggest you calm yourself. As for your treatment some of you wished to leave, I stopped them.” The Watcher than turns to Caine ”The gods are indeed infallible. If you need convincing very well than. I will show you what has happened because of beings I cannot record.” The Watcher than points a finger at Caine, he than seems to glow with a gray light. Turning to Asriel and Viktor the Watcher's hands start to glow and two rings appear which float to them ”These may very well help you all later. Now do either of you wish to ask anymore questions?”

Viktor:

Fafhrd's anger would not be sated by simple suggestions. Others, along with himself, were being forced against their will by this so-called deity.

"Some might have sought to leave, but I sought answers. I did not ask to be forced against my will. If you know anything of Gurzil, and you clearly claim to know a lot, you should know that I would not accept such treatment without hostility."

As he spoke, he tried to stand again.

"You could be lying to me and I'd never know. I have to accept that. I'm in. This needs to be done. I'm with you. I want to know more though. About you, and what the church has done. Everything. You want a new champion? I want a new god."

Hearing that they were the last descendants, Chuluun's head lowers with a shake of his heard sadly, mutters softly as he holds his medallion of Liluri tightly, "The landslide could be no accident of nature, but deliberately done to kill all of my family. Kasar and me only survived just because we decided to go play outside the encampment that horrid day.".

He looks up once more to the watcher still with a sad expression (ears and shoulders drooped), "Please ask Lady Liluri to come in person. I have a question to ask of her too.", holding and rubbing his medallion.

The Watchers looks at Fafhrd "I think you are confusing some things with what you believe Gurzil teaches and what he teaches." Turning to Viktor "It allows me to view events. So I may record them. They also hold other powers based on the wearer." Looking at Caine another ring appears in front of Caine. Finally turning to Chuluun, "Go outside to the large tree and wait." He than looks at the leaders of Animus before saying "Very good, you have done as I have asked."

Chuluun:

If you go to the large tree and wait.
After a few minutes of waiting, a humanoid appears. The humanoid appears as a young female, with dark flowers for hair, skin the color of the sky at this moment and eyes the color of fire. Next to her is a massive brown bear. Looking at Chuluun she speaks in a voice that reminds you of your mother "You wished to speak with me my child?"

DarknLight:
Chuluun bows to the Watcher, "Thank you with my request.", then stands up with ease and also bows to the rulers of Animus, "I will be back shortly.".

He leaves the room with a drooped head and muttering under his breath, though not audible to others. He makes his way quickly to the large tree, then sits on his knees before the tree, though with enough distance to allow his goddess to comfortably appear between the tree and him. He continues to rub his medallion, being nervous of actually meeting his goddess.

As she appears with her companion, he immediately bows to her and keeps his head down as she speaks. He remains with his head down as she speaks, "Forgive me, Lady of the Wilds, for disturbing you in your important duties."

He pauses for a short period before speaking with tears forming, "Firstly, was the rock slide that took place sixteen years ago that destroyed the mining encampment. My mother, sisters and brother died in that rock slide. The question is, that I ask for the truth: Was the rock slide a natural event, or a result of some great evil that is trying to kill all the descendants of the 1st Legion? The reason I ask is that the Watcher, who says he is an ancient god, has requested the last remaining descendants of the 1st Legion to save Seaniri from a powerful evil that is coming. I believe you know more of the Watcher and spoken to the Watcher about the coming evil. I know nothing of the Watcher, except what I heard in the last hour. Lady Liluri, you the one I follow, not the Watcher, and do what you require of us to do in restoring and protecting nature. Secondly I need your guidance and wisdom in what I should do. I will do as you ask me to do?".

Chuluun remains seated on his knees with his head bowed downwards for her answer.

Male

Finding his feet beneath him once more, Fafhrd's anger started to subside.

"Gurzil teaches to free those that are enslaved. The moment you forced me to my knees, you enslaved me. Even if it was for just an instant. I have heard your story, but been given no proof of your claims. I do wish to see what you have to show, for as I have said, I do not give my word lightly."

As he spoke these words, Fafhrd stood proud in front of The Watcher. He was not one to back down from a challenge. Yes, he knew the value of retreating, but he found no reason to belief this creature would bring true harm to him.

Caine sighed "Big guy, he's just going to show you what he showed me. No way to know if it's real or a trick. You're either going to have to walk away, or take this one on faith. No other choice. Seeing this ain't going to change that."

"No, I showed you suffering and pain. I am going to show him enslavement." With a snap of its fingers Fafhrd start to color a white color. The Watcher than reads the records for a moment.

Chuluun:

Liluri form changes from a young female to a older female seemly thinking before she answers "Yes, the rock slide was a natural event. The children of the 1st Legion are so few because their blood calls them to help others or to do great things. I only know of the 'Wathcer', as have spoken to him none of us speak with him, but Erlik. Erlik has informed us of the threat of the Church." When speaking of the Church the bear growls. Liluri puts her hand on the bear's head before going on "If the Watcher has asked you to do something, you should do it. It is very odd that he has spoken to you at all. Did you have any more questions for me my child?"

Fafhrd:

Fafhrd sees how the Church has been secretly enslaving people. The worst of the worst when people think of slavery, is what they have been doing.

DarknLight:
He looks up to Liluri, "Lady Liluri, thank you for the answer about the rock slide.", wipes the tears away before continuing, "I do prefer their deaths to be natural, and not by someone's doing.".

Chuluun pauses for a moment with a little smile forming, "Odd? The Watcher is currently in the grand council room with the others and the rulers of Animus. I will do the Watcher's quest as you request of me to do. On this important quest, bless and guide me so that I always honour your name.".

He waves to the bear while smiling, "Thank you Lady Liluri for answering my questions. I shall now return to answer the Watcher's question. Is there anything you require of me to do for Lady Liluri? Long live the Lady of the Wilds.".

Chuluun:

Liluri nods "Yes, odd, I know he is there. It is odd he appeared on this plane at all." She than seems to disappear as dust does on the wind before nodding to Chuluun.

Male

Fafhrd seemed to shake in his boots as the visions overtook him. Whether this shaking was from fear or rage was hard to discern.

Then, after coming out of the visions, Fafhrd steadied himself as he turned his eyes back to The Watcher and spoke.

"I shall join this quest not just for the honor and glory, but for those unfortunate souls in that vision...however, if I should come to find that you've lied to me, I will find my honor and glory in bringing you down instead...do you agree to such terms?"

As he asked if The Watcher accepted, he would extend his arm out to the divine being in a gesture to complete the pact.

Caine, looked sidelong at the big man next to him with an expression somewhere between surprise, disbelief and amusement.

"Yeah, good luck with that..." he muttered before going back to absorbing the information the Watcher was giving him.

He stands up once she vanished, while smiling. He walks up to the tree and gives it a rub, then wipes his face to remove the evidence of tears. As Chuluun slowly walks back to the grand council room, he thinks about the important guest he is about to take part in.

He opens the door to peer inside, seeing everyone else is still in the room including the Watcher, he walks in calmly to the table, where he firstly gives a bow to the rulers of Animus. He turns to face the Watcher, speaking calm and soft, "I have consulted with Lady Liluri on the matter of the quest. She has given her approval for me to take part in your quest. I am ready to take up my place.", pauses for a moment, "Yet something bothers me. Why did you stay away from Saeniri after the invaders were defeated? Not stay to help the people of Saeniri and the new deities.".

Before waiting for the reply, he sternly speaks out, "Watcher, remember, I follow Lady Liluri, not you. I here on her instruction. I will do my best to help the rest here to succeed with the quest.".

The Watcher turns to Fafhrd and takes his hand. After letting go it than says "I should tell you, you will never be able to harm me." Another ring than appears and gives it to Fafhrd. Turning to Chuluun "My duty is to record. When something causes that duty to be interrupted is when I act." A ring appears before Chuluun. The crack in the air appears again before the Watcher says "The leaders of Animus , will not speak to you on the overthrow of the Church of Light." The Watcher after speaking walks into the crack which disappears.

The leaders of Animus look at the group with total and utter shock. After a few moments Peadair speaks again "Now you know where we received our information. Can you inform us what you all know of the Church of Light? So we may fill you in on other details.

Everyone roll Knowledge Religion, if you do not have it trained, roll anyway. Will give you each different information based on your rolls. Caine you get to know about the military arm of the church.

Caine put the Watcher's ring on and spent a few moments popping his knuckles. He sighed with a small chuckle and shook his head. "I'll give you the abridged version..."

Fafhrd took The Watcher's arm tightly and responded accordingly...

"Do not look down upon us mortals. We've accomplished great things and shall continue to do so. With our seemingly short lives, we hold the possibility to accomplish great things and I indeed to prove that statement one way or another."

Once done, he let his hold go and took the "gift" of a ring.

"Thank you for your generosity," he said with a bow of his head before he watched The Watcher take his leave.

When confronted with the question of his own knowledge, Fafhrd allowed his supposedly destined companions to go before him as he summed up what he knew in his head.

He takes the ring that appeared before him, looks it over and over, speaking frankly, "This ring better not be a ring of slavery.", he looks back to the rulers raising the ring, "I would like to make use of your most knowledgeable person who can identify this ring for me.", then places it in his spell component pouch.
