Okay, Caine and alright Drankich. Also if you guys know anyone that would want in tell me, want to have a sixth so when people get busy can keep up the posts.

We can put the word out.
If we can't find someone, one of us could make a second character. I know I wouldn't mind. I could even play someone who's a bit less of a jerk than Caine. :)
Alright this is going to be the point in the game where I will be more involved. First thing I need to know though is what do you guys want to do first and than after that? If you need me to recap what you guys know so far will do.
First: Odd Tree.
Second: Ghost thing in city.
Third: Dog creature/outside city.
Fourth: Bad guys.
I do not have reliable internet connection at the moment. Hoping telcom will fix the connection by 2 weeks time. Here the telcom is super slow in fixing problems.
I'm sorry, but I get the feeling I should back out of this campaign. I've only been a hindrance to you all for the most part in my lack of stability. I'll give it another go if you want, but that's up to all of you.

The game is, unfortunately. I've been finding less and less time to post, myself. My family and friends have been taking up most of my time lately, and I've been sick as well.

What are all the things that need to be done before we open for business? Are there specific things, or is it gust generalized "stuff" that will take a variable amount of time depending on how hard/long we work?
Can we get a list of NPCs and Cohorts in the Campaign Info tab?

Well, the basic stuff is all pretty intuitive. Put up the sign, stock the larders, hang the decorations, etc. Where this gets different is in the additional stuff we need to accommodate our real mission.
Off the top of my head:
High quality locks added to all the doors and windows.
Metal latices added to windows.
Secure/private access between the forge/storage warehouse and the bar proper.
Vault-style "Headquarters room" and secure storage set up in a secure area (upstairs or basement). One way in and out, lead lined (to negate divinations), and serious steel and stone reinforcement.

I had an idea for how to have a fight-club style fighting pit in the bar (as a cover for training people to fight). I'm still working out the kinks, but I think it will work nicely.
I need to know if the bar has a basement, and what the laws regarding things like boxing are.
Bar does have a basement, where you guys stay, there is however a large area down there that could be used for something like that. The laws depend, you all could get a permit through the guard and not have to worry or you could do illegal things but bribe the guard. The last way is if you say you want to start up a defense school, for that all you have to do is pass a test that is set up by officials normally this is a fight against a champion.
Interesting. How many levels is this tavern building. Basement is where the characters and assigned assistants live in their separate rooms, plus very secure meeting room right at the back. Of course the sleeping rooms and meeting room would all be behind a very secure door too. I guessing that storage area and ladder is on the ground level, with the kitchen.
Does Drankich have an assistant, or is this fellow coming in looking for work, going to be his assistant?

My idea is to cut a 12x12 octagon in the floor and replace the flooring there with a series of 6' metal latticework triangles. These lay flat most of the time. (The lattice is narrow enough that patrons can walk on them).
When we want a match, the triangles raise up on edge forming a fence around the perimeter of the now open pit. Patrons can gather around it to watch the match below.
At the center of the octagon, where all the triangles meet when they are laying down, is a circular platform suspended on four support struts that criss-cross the octagon (these struts are what the triangles lay on when they are down). From this platform the MC/Ref officiates the fights.
A heavy chain from the celing to the center platform helps support the entire structure. Chains and metal lattice become a theme in the bar, filling patrons with subconscious images of oppression and capture, and fighting to escape.

Of course, some of the few Knowledges I have absolutely no points in. Oh well. I'll aid another on the diplomacy, asking around for information, taking 20 as well on it if I can, giving me a 19.
