Thogg shakes himself out of his rage, laughing softly to himself. "That was more like it! It is good to feel the true rush of combat!
"

Thogg saunters over to the edge of the pit, ready to smash the opponent inside if he manages to climb near the top.

Readied action to power attack the remaining enemy should he successfully climb within reach of a downward smash.

Keffle ignores the creature stuck in the magical pit, but does address one of the newer companions. Perhaps the light of the gods can exact more information from him before he is destroyed forever. If not, we have a despot to usurp.

Hali will move from J23 to J19 and cast Searing Light at guy in the pit.

You really ought to just stay dead this time.
searing light: 9d8 ⇒ (7, 5, 4, 7, 5, 6, 1, 4, 6) = 45 or 9d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 6, 2, 5, 3, 1, 2, 5) = 35

He is dead. I am sure that he was not making it out of that pit.

If they have SR they can turn if off if you are going to use cure spells instead of channels. If you are going to channel it will bypass SR anyway.

Thanks GM, ok guys feel the heal time, will not use Channels as it my main punking tool

I believe the mighty Thogg was leading us to a brothel. Could someone explain to me on the way? We don't expect to find the dragon there, do we?

The in-combat 32 healing from Lotus' channel brought me up to full, at least until the negative levels wear off. When will that be, Watcher?

"Yes, the brothel. Nothing eases the heat of a man's blood like a woman after a fight! Do you suppose there will time before we depose the whatever Keffle said? Tik Tik, you have been here longer than us. Lead the way to the brothel, if you will."

Good thinking, Lotus

Knowledge Engineering, Geography, History, Local, or Nobility: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30

Lotus are you using some special power or just making knowledge checks?

Female Aasimar Cleric 16 (Sarenrae)

Just Skills I have no power to talk to the dead undead or such

Lotus can't recall anything of note, and neither of you notice anything when you examine the undead.

Halistra: knowledge nobility:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11

I assumed the 30 was for geography.

Knowledge geography result
Nearly half of the citizens of Dalaston are dwarves, an unusual level for Taldor. The people of Dalaston mine iron, process ore, and provide raw materials for the smiths of Maheto and other cities.

Though best known for its steel, Dalaston is also home to an excellent brewery. Blackpeak Ale and Dragonscar Whisky are both produced in this town. Dragonscar Whisky takes its name from a barren stretch of blackened earth, leagues in length; this blasted land is said to be the work of a dragon who terrorized the land centuries ago.

@Watcher Uatu: Sorry, I was trying to be efficient. If you needed one of my Knowledge Rolls with a +10... this is it. If you needed one of my Knowledge Rolls with a +12... here it is. Next time I'll roll each of the 9 Knowledge checks separately.

If my perception check was high enough (29) to realize there was something I need to remember, can I still use this:

Lore Master (1/day) (Ex) Take 10 on knowledge checks, and 1/day take 20 as a standard action.

And take 20 (as a standard action) on what seems to be the most relevant?

There was nothing on them that would give any clues. You can still use those abilities. It is up to you.

Grand Lodge

Female Drow Bard 8/ Oracle of Wind 7

Okay, I'll take 20 on Knowledge History. 20+10=30

Knowledge history check:
Many many years ago there was a city known as Talamir. Talamir’s
mines reached deep into the World’s Edge Mountains, and there the miners found gems of extraordinary quality and size. Rumor has it that the miner's chanced upon a dragon's lair which was in the side of a mountain. An agreement was made between the town and the dragon. They could continue to mine the mountain, but a particular gem, an artifact known as the "Stone of Eternity" was to be handed over to the dragon if it was found.
The story then goes on to say that the citizens of Talamir tried to double cross the dragon. In a fit of rage he destroyed the city, and killed everyone living within it.

Grand Lodge

Female Drow Bard 8/ Oracle of Wind 7

Hali will share what she remembers of History and Geography with the group as they walk along, partly as snippets of old ballads.

I wonder who has this Stone of Eternity now? ...Perhaps one of you gents would like to ask the way to the brothel? It would feel a little awkward if I were to ask

Male Fort: + 1 Ref: +3 Will: +3, AC: 17 Touch: 15 Flat-Footed: 14, Init: +5 CMB -2 CMD 11, SR 12

::If they tried to double cross the dragon, does that mean the stone was found and the townspeople tried to keep it? It's probably a part of the dragon's hoard then.:: Tik-Tik thinks to the group as he flies lazily along.

Male Human Conjuror 7, Malconvoker 8

This stone of eternity, is it referenced in any of Keffle's research?

Knowledge (arcana) 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (2) + 23 = 25

Keffle you have heard that the gem drew bright souls to it. There are also rumors that there was a paradise within the stone, a heaven for those who could find their way within.

Male Human Conjuror 7, Malconvoker 8

The mysterious wizard cocks his head and says in a low voice, The stone is not the dragon's hoard unless it is so by possession. Legends say it houses righteous spirits in an impossible paradise. No such creature should be allowed to have, it, nor should any single mortal claim ownership of it.

Keffle thinks of a safe place for it, somewhere far removed from prying eyes. Stewardship of it, however, to see that its inhabitants are unharmed, by a reasonable group of people, is appropriate.

Female Aasimar Cleric 16 (Sarenrae)

If what you say is true, Adreris and I do not doubt you, then this is what Sarenrae had send back from death for, This task to save such an object and see it placed in a most holy site, protected and free from sin. Gory be to all that's is good and right, that such a most holy task be ours, we are most blessed. We have been set on this task by the gods of light themselves. But why are the undead here, do they see it also for evil ends, if so we must stop it falling into corrupting hands at all costs.

Lotus's Halo seems to flare bright as she talks.

You may continue to talk as if you are still walking to the brothel.

After defeating the undead the party continues to the brothel.

The building is well made, and it has two statues of half naked women who are well endowed by the door entrance. Just past the statues are double doors which lead into the building.

"Ha! Even the art at this place pleases me! Let us find answers and maybe a few hours of free time."

Thogg opens the doors wide.

The door opens, and it looks like you are in the lobby of a nice hotel. There are very nice couches in the middle of the room. Off to the side is a desk, and towards the back of the room you see doors that lead into hallways.

At the desk is a very attractive half-elf female.
She greets all of you with a smile . "Hello ladies and gentlemen. How may I help you?"

Female Aasimar Cleric 16 (Sarenrae)

Lotus having spent year in the army is not fazed by a bordello, she looks to see where the muscle is lurking, every cat house has muscle of some kind, hard men to keep the Jons in check.

1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29 Perception roll

Lotus you notice two hidden doors, one on the left, and one on the right.

Female Aasimar Cleric 16 (Sarenrae)

Lotus nods at the two doors hopping the others understand what shes showing them, Not hiding the nod.

"Which of your rooms holds the count of this blasted city? We need to have a conversation about why I keep getting attacked in the streets. Also, I'll need a private room and three of your women, but it may have to wait..."

Perception for Doors: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (15) + 20 = 35

Hali walks in separately from the rest, and appears disinterested in them. Anyone looking will notice her dress has changed into something suitable for a working girl. She approaches anyone who looks to be a manager.

Oh, um, hi. -giggle- The count, um requested me, to join the, you know, festivities.-hair flip- Can you tell me where to find him? -giggle-

::*snicker* What a performance you put on already!::

Looking at Thogg. "Sir you will have to wait until he is done for the evening. As for the ladies you requested we do have room available. Sit down on the couch there, and someone will be along to help you in a few minutes."

sense motive:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19

She then tells Halistria to wait one moment, and a bell rings.

Two dwarfs appear from the hallways.

"This lady is a friend of the count. She is to join him immediately."

She then turns to the rest of the group.

"What can I do for the rest of you?"

Male Human Conjuror 7, Malconvoker 8

Adreris is not fond of lies and wasted time. Though he does understand subtlety, the notion of a leader choosing to indulge whores over managing crisis tries his patience. The city smolders outside. People need shelter and hope. The count can come see us now, or we will go see him now, and we cannot be stopped. Tell he we afford him the grace of coming to us fully clothed.

Intimidate 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (12) + 21 = 33

The lady at the counter quickly tells the guards that the count's presence is needed and it can't wait.

The guards come back in less than 5 minutes and say the count is ready to see them. One of them then says in a fearful voice.

"He is very upset. You better be careful."

They then lead you to his which is actually a suite.

The guards knock on the door, and you are a voice say "Enter."
------------------------------------------------------------------------

This all assumes the party follows the guards when they come back or nothing else happens when the guards go to let the count know he has an audience.

Female Aasimar Cleric 16 (Sarenrae)

I shall follow I think next to Keffle

Male Human Conjuror 7, Malconvoker 8

We do follow, but while the guards are gone to inform him, Kefflr summons three erinyes as backup. They are taller than the human women, but clad in revealing garb. Their folded wings are not much of a disguise, but they seem a fitting entourage inside the brothel.

Shall we?

Grand Lodge

Female Drow Bard 8/ Oracle of Wind 7

Hali has already followed her earlier "escort" back to the counts room.

@TikTik ::You'd best be paying attention, and not getting distracted by all the pretty "baubles." My message spells don't work behind closed doors.:: She gives him detailed directions back to the count's room. (Hopefully he updates her on what the others are up to.)

Hoping to flank, if she can get behind the count when he comes out from his room.

Male Fort: + 1 Ref: +3 Will: +3, AC: 17 Touch: 15 Flat-Footed: 14, Init: +5 CMB -2 CMD 11, SR 12

::It seems we're following you.:: Tik-Tik thinks back as he lands on Thogg's shoulder. ::And I am hardly in the appropriate form to appreciate the 'baubles' anyway.::

Thogg shrugs a shoulder, moving a pauldron upset by Tik Tik's landing into a more comfortable position. He pushes past Keffle to follow the guards, looming over them.

Upon seeing the Erinyes the woman because visibly shaken.

Hali the count is not leaving his room. The group is going to the count.

As you enter the room you see a middle aged, and out of shape looking, human male. It seems that you have found Saleno. He is dressed in silks
soiled by sweat and wine. His hair is unkept to put it mildly. There is also an attractive human female room. She is dressed, but just barely.

He is furious that you are in his room. "Speak, and this better be good." he says talking to you in a very commanding voice, as if you were some lowly commoner.

Female Aasimar Cleric 16 (Sarenrae)

Lotus hand glows for a moment just before they enter the room, then she places it on Keffle

Touch of Glory on Keffle - Touch of Glory (Sp): You can cause your hand to shimmer with divine radiance, allowing you to touch a creature as a standard action and give it a bonus equal to your cleric level on a single Charisma-based skill check or Charisma ability check. This ability lasts for 1 hour or until the creature touched elects to apply the bonus to a roll. You can use this ability to grant the bonus a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier. So that's +15 on one roll Keffle best make it good.

Grand Lodge

Female Drow Bard 8/ Oracle of Wind 7

In her best breathless bimbo voice, Hali says I'm here for you, my lord.

To remember the name of a noble who is friendly with the count...Knowledge Nobility 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25 Lord X sent me as a gift to join you and your friend tonight.

Bluff: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (16) + 22 = 38

Hali then begins a dance designed to fascinate the count. DC19 If the count is fascinated she will then give a suggestion DC19 that she and the party are friends and he should tell us everything he knows about the village's troubles. (the dance performance will linger for 3 rounds)

::Can you tell the group to give me half a minute to charm the count? If I succeed he should be willing to tell us the truth... but threats against him may break my spell.::

Male Human Conjuror 7, Malconvoker 8

I am sorry, Hali, maybe when we know each other better we can plan. But waiting for a dance after being high-browed by the count seems ooc for Keffle. I admit Thogg might watch appreciatively, but that's up to him.

Hearing the briefly whispered prayer from his new friend, Keffle feels divine wind at his back. He speaks with authority.

We have come to help repair your city and to make war on the dragon. We noticed undead servitors holding your people hostage while you bed whores in the midst of tragedy. We are prepared to take you to the nobles of this city and offer our assistance in exchange for your abdication. Then you may whore all you like free of the responsibilities you have already abandoned.

Keffle nods his head without taking his eyes off the slovenly count. The air thickens with his disapproval. The two erinyes moves around the bed and against the wall, hands on their fiendish lonswords. Their long braids, one black, one yellow and one a fiery red, twitch with anticipation.

Keffle speaks again. We are all going to see these nobles together. My companion here will mercifully see you raised from death if you insult us by resisting.

Intimidate 1d20 + 36 ⇒ (9) + 36 = 45

I assumed Keffle did not wait for Hali to even meet the count to try to seduce him. He pretty much went for the direct approach. Just to make sure I will pause the game though so everyone is on the same page about what is going on.

Grand Lodge

Female Drow Bard 8/ Oracle of Wind 7

My understanding of the sequence of events was that Hali bluffed the "maitre d" *first*, the guards took her to the count. Then Adreris intimidated the 'maitre d', then guards went to inform the count, then the guards came back, then the guards let the rest of the group in. Hali had many standard rounds with the count before the group arrived.
