Wouldn't be better to study the Grey Cloaks' patterns and nab a couple of them when they're outside their stronghold, like patrolling the edges of their turf or something similar? They disappear quietly into the night, hopefully unnerving the remaining Grey Cloaks.

Quick question: Why are you both breaking into the bakery at night AND tricking the owners into taking possession of the bombs? That seems like you're over complicating things. You'll need to drop the Greys off in the bakery before you set off the bombs...why not break in and bring Mender with you?

Also, if you're just picking entrances without going to get a look at them (gather information) you're gunna have a bad time.

I play a Leech in my tabletop game and my mind is just awash in the Leech’s potential. The bandolier is the most versatile power in this game.

in my IRL game, we played Hawkers, and my character was their 17-year-old whisper, who basically served double duty as their cutter (started with good skirmish and command and Compel, put some ranks into wreck, prowl, and picked up tempest and Ghost ward.

he kinda wound up being our gang's threat ("Do as we say, or we send Kavel after you") they were fun, but I wanted a chance to be a real whisper

Peeps, unfortunately I have to leave this game. I am really enjoying the system and some of the stuff that emerged in our group, but a) my free time is becoming severely limited due to other projects, and b) I am uncomfortable both IC and OOC with some of the stuff going on with the crew. I never was able to play even a moderately evil character. *sigh*

Okay, so here's my idea to reduce heat: I want to forge our pictures at some recent social event and then replace the pictures the newspaper has so that when the paper comes out, you can see us in the pictures on that story.

Felfiz is gearing up for some kind of Grand Design, but he needs another filler score to finish off the Flock.

I am also getting over the stupid flu. Drink lots of water and get lots of sleep would be my advice.

As far as our next escapade goes, I think we need to do something to raise some capital, as I have a buncha downtime stuff I want to do, but I need coin to facilitate it.

As far as raising capital goes, Scurlock is offering decent coin for operations that damage the Grey Cloaks. You can pick up a little coin from occult scores (including anything demanded of you by Halthar). You can always go scout out a robbery.

Hey! I've been in the midst of a winter storm and internet has been... difficult to come by. I can get behind beating up some greycloaks.

You can ask Scurlock for a specific target or do some gather information to locate a vulnerable spot or go after another holding. Right turf (a courtyard of a tower block) and a vice den (a back alley dice game) are held by the Greys. Either one will disrupt their tier and reward you from Scurlock.

The Grand Design I have in mind might benefit from Sealed in Blood, but otherwise it's not really in our Cult's usual MO to perform ritual sacrifices.

Conviction would be really good. We're starting to establish our cult in earnest, and the boons would be really nice.

Bound in Darkness would allow us to spread out more on scores.

Hutch would enjoy Cult rigging...

Ritual sanctum in lair would get us started performing rituals...

A Vault would let us store more coin...

Training would be nice.

I'm leaning toward Conviction.

You've previously talked about taking Conviction, and it would make fictional sense to have Velaris be able to take your worship. The sacrifices don't have to be lives. It can be anything that pleases Halthar.

The crew that I'm playing in has Bound in Darkness. It's a lot of fun, ESPECIALLY when you're a spider. Remember, teamwork is assist, group actions, defend and setup. That gives a LOT of options.


I think vault and training are both good ideas, I would lean toward Personal training, or maybe a ritual sanctum, if we ever did rituals.

That's a good question. Are you serving Halthar or trying to summon him or what? You haven't done anything with that bone you stole. Maybe that's a nudge in the right direction.

Ritual Sanctum makes the most sense I think, even though Bound in Darkness sounds dope as hell.
