I don't think the party has the funds for the 5000gp diamond for Raise Dead, so Valgrim might be dead for awhile.

My records show that Vug alone has over 4,000 gp. I don't think money is a problem.

My records have Vulcan at 5102g + another 300 in gems,(haven't really bought much yet) I think we're good.

BT, this is a quote from James Jacobs on the messageboards dated January 2010 regarding FoM and paralysis:

Paralysis is paralysis, no matter what effect causes it. Whether it's from a supernatural attack, a spell, a poison, or whatever... if it causes the condition of paralysis, freedom of movement will negate it.

just hopping on here to say I've been enjoying this PbP for a while now, a few of the others I would read have sadly died off, but nice to know Valgrim's Vanguard is still running rampant.

When we rest, I imagine, these will be the 9th level ranger changes to Valgrim:

Valgrim will spend 3 hero points and roll twice for leveling:

Ranger ability: Evasion
One extra 1st level spell to memorize

Okay, Valgrim started with 9 hero points, used 3 on the re-roll and then received 1 HP for saving Allustan so total now = 7.

HP = 113
Current spells memorized: Lead blades, resist: energy x2, Hunter's Eye
BA hit +11 so got 3rd attack on full-attack
Profile updated and of course, got evasion! Sweet!

Trying to decide on my 11th level feat. What do you all think of Divine Interference?


That's a pretty sweet feat, although it's a bit clunky to use in a play-by-post game, just like any immediate action effect that sort of "rewrites history". The other feat that I was looking over recently was Channeled Revival (use 3x channel energy uses to cast Breath of Life).

That was my thought exactly with an immediate action effect in a PbP game. Hadn't seen Channeled Revival - that's a pretty nice feat as well, and easier to use in a PbP. I may go with that if no one has any other suggestions.

I agree, making GM re-roll and altering everyone's actions does not work well in PbP.

Yeah, "Dagger of Time" style effects are great at the table but can be pretty problemating with different people posting at different times.

Feat: Sorcerous Bloodstrike
+1 to Intimidate, Knowledge Arcana, Spellcraft
Spells added swap Rain of Frogs (what was I thinking?) with Aqueous Orb, added Air bubble, Resist Energy, Vengeful comets, Protection from Energy Communal, Fickle winds (haven’t been paying attention to spells known as I was leveling these last few levels.) Also gained Overland Flight as bloodline spell.

Mix of heavy offence, spells useful to the group. Vulcan is locked and loaded ready to nuke whatever comes next.

Note that it costs three hero points to get to roll twice for hp.
