Well, it's nice to see so many old friends interested, but also a bit awkward since I can only hold three spots for you. Two will be reserved for new players. Hate to disappoint so many people, but I'm sure there will be more games opening once the AP is taking shape.

That's alright. She is finished now as a Faith Psychic. The background is kept bare bones since she is amnesiac and this AP is an attempt on Lovecraft stuff, so high mortality rate. Ebullient was rolled on a previous post.

RPG Superstar 2009 Top 16

Given the number of people you mentioned this to and that you're only holding 3 slots I'll bow out.

Dot :)

You asked for simple characters, and what could be simpler than a fighter? Welllll they did add a million splat books, surely by now it's possible to build a Fighter that's now interesting to play in and out of combat. The players guide suggests mutation warrior, that sounds great - channeling Jeckyll & Hyde but on a warrior rather than an alchemist. Hmm /dons thinking cap.

Hello BT! Since my last dwarf initiated in your campaign has made it to 20th level, will try out another dwarf! :) I am thinking a shamed exiled beardless dwarf rogue (unchained) who committed some atrocities in the Darklands in his past that he cannot remember. Skill monkey with high survivability (11 hit points at 1st level), trapfinding, and high initiative. He is a tough SoB, very harcore, killer type (this pic sums up my image of him). Will spend gold and create alias if chosen.

Spiritualist, seems to be my perfect opportunity to play one. My home Gm banned ALL "Pet classes" and I've been dying to play this one in an adventure like this.

I have him pretty well built I would just need to set up an alias.

Heres the link

Acro Kalrind

I only have one little decision that's holding me up. Should I choose the pariah alt racial trait or should I use the burning assurance alt racial.

Both could provide neat background for later. Pariah with the early game urban stuff and Burning assurance for the later sections in deserts.

Rollplay will vary quite a bit depending on the trait I pick. A pariah would probably be reserved, only speaking when necessary (and would likely have a despair phantom). While a Desert dweller would probably attempt to be more jovial and keep spirits high in the bleak situation we all find ourselves in (and would probably have a zeal or lust phantom)

Just tell me what you think and give me some input. I would much appreciate it.

Actually, seeing the size of the application pool for this game, I'll not add to your burden of trying to sort through them all. I think I will just stick to doing the best I can with Inmir. Thanks for the opportunity though.

Been pretty busy but I have a character concept now and will throw a build together this weekend.

Logan Kyle:
"It's funny I vividly remember things that happened ten or fifteen years ago. I grew up in a small holding on the outskirts of Ustalav. I remember that day Angelina my mother took the hens to market. I was watching the fog rolling up the vale like it always did, and Herman the tinker came by with his rag and bone cart. We had a set of knives sharpened. Why can I remember that, an inconsequential day a decade back but not where I was last month... There's a hole in my mind, it wasn't always there. I'm almost afraid to look but like a scab I keep on picking at it, and every now and then something pops out..."

The fuge state and slow unlocking of the past sounds fun. Build wise a few ideas seem to fit: Eldritch heritage, Eldritch guardian + figment familiar (it's all in his mind). Mutation warrior stacks and seems pretty thematic.

After thinking about it, the only item Ulfric would have a close personal attachment to would be his silver holy symbol, given to him at the time of taking his Oath Against Corruption.

I remember kneeling down before a crowd, on one knee, in a small stone temple. There are others before me, though what they are wearing is hard to recall. I do however remember speaking an oath to defend others against alien creatures of all types, and to do this in secret so that none would panic at what I fought, and to never seek glory for what I did, as it is a service rendered to others through the goodness of my soul.

I am quite interested in seeing how Ulfric tries to redeem himself in the eyes of Sarenrae while feeling as though he has been used for ill deeds.

Hi Ulfric

Hi. Looking over Kirian, she definitely changed less than Ulfric did compared to to the dead Carrion Crown game we were in.

Good luck, and maybe we can play together in this game as well.

Seeing other people in this thread do it has inspired me to create a paragraph of how Acro will behave generally. It also sorta serves to tie him to his phantom and the story. The lines in brackets represent the phantom.

Waking thoughts:
(Finally awake are we?) W-what? (You've been out cold for awhile now, I was beginning to fear I would be trapped here with you for... Far to long.) Who are you, where are you? Why can't I remember? (I think that's something were going to have to help eachother figure out.)

To all the games im in, this weekend im at a LARP, will be back on Sunday, but will probably be paste. But we’ll see, maybe I will reply

Enjoy the weekend folks! =^^=

Logan Kyle:
"It's funny I vividly remember things that happened ten or fifteen years ago. I grew up in a small holding on the outskirts of Ustalav. I remember that day Angelina my mother took the hens to market and bought my sister Emma a red ribbon. I spent the morning watching the fog rolling up the vale like it always did, and Herman the tinker came by with his rag and bone cart. Pa had a set of knives sharpened, nothing else happened. Why can I remember that, an inconsequential day a decade back, but not where I was last month... There's a hole in my mind, it wasn't there before. Before. Before what exactly? I'm almost afraid to look, but like a scab I keep on picking at it, and every now and then something pops out... Take Jingles for example, I mean what is that all about?! I was freaked out to begin with, a song bird that just wouldn't leave me alone. Apparently it's my subconscious projecting Jingles, seriously how messed up is that? Never saw myself being a weird bird man I can tell you! Then there's that itch, as if my skin doesn't quite fit, it's the darnedest thing - drives me nuts. At times I wake on the edge of screaming from a dream, it's hazy but I've done something nebulous but awful. I'm convinced if I clean my hands enough the taint will go away, but it never does. I suppose that's why I'm here, in the Asylum. So what's your story? How did you end up here?"

I wanted a fighter that was decent out of combat, Logan seems to fit the bill, hopefully he's not too strange!

This isn't going to get any easier so I'll just cut the Gordian knot and close the recruitment at this point. Since I want to give precedence to people I know, I sincerely welcome the following to head over to the discussion thread:

Ulfric Bjarnasson

Grymm

Torvent

Quinlan

Nezzarim

If people drop out (perish the thought) I may come back looking for supplements, but other than that, thanks for playing. Some of your characters I really liked, and I hope you find another game.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Rulebook Subscriber

Congrats to those who made it.

Dark Archive

Gratz to the chosen! Have fun!

gratz to those picked. Peyton will find a home eventually!

Thank you for consideration.

Came and went.
