Male Half-Elf (Drow) Fighter (Crossbow) 3/Rogue 3 (Sniper)

Well guess we should scout the area to figure it out

"That sounds like a good idea. We definitely need more information."

At the mention of the word 'River' Sunny definitely perks up.

"Aye! scootin' down an' scopin' out th' place seems like a right thing t'do." She beams. "An' on'a way we c'n be talkin' t' th' t'other fellers an' see whut t'is, if anything, they c'n maybe add t' th' tellin'..." She skips off and helps K'tzhang with the setting up/clearing up of the site.

Male Tiefling - outsider (native) [demon-spawn] rogue/sorcerer [bloodline: undead] 3

"Poison and I could scout out the fort once we are there after dark, I believe he has the sight." intones in his gravely voice.

Male Blue Scaled Kobold Gestalt Cleric 3/Ranger 3

"And the little one, they don't look out for little uns like me?" K'Tzhang smiles helpfully.

"That sounds like a good idea Nerik. And K'tzhang, I think your coloring will help hide you at night too. Aside from you being small."

Sunny giggles and hugs K'tzhang,

"Ye in't small, ye is eck-nom-nomy sized." (^_^) *Huggles*

"So, should we be gettin' th' other fellers awake and askin' 'em where Milosh's kiddies might be?" She asks every one else, still holding K'tzhang like her own personal teddy-bear.

"Why not ask out new friend first.

I'm not really sure Donk's playmate is going to wake up anytime soon.

Sulna Koll wrote:

Um, not sure if'n ye remember, it bein' back in'a posts a-ways, but I did ask him an' he said he weren't there abouts er that happenin'. (^_^)

Sunny continues to snuggle K'tzhang for a few seconds more before giving him up and continuing to scoot about clearing things up.

"Aye, well there be a few things I'd like t' be askin' that par-tic-ular feller, but they c'n wait till we're a tad closer t' where we wants t' be." She replies to Sulna.

(^_^)

Male Half-Elf (Drow) Fighter (Crossbow) 3/Rogue 3 (Sniper)

Well I best get on with the scouting will be back as soon as I can, or Sunny will be able to find me again naked in the ground to warm me up like last time giving Sunny a wink as I take my leave to scout ahead Stealth 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21

Male Blue Scaled Kobold Gestalt Cleric 3/Ranger 3

K'Tzhang struggles to free himself from Sunny's grasp, looking with increduality at the elf maid. Spluttering "Um..th..thank .. you .. Sunny.. Did he say how far we have to go to get to this bandits camp?"

Sunny does giggle at Belro's words and makes after the fellow for a short wile until the other Elf disappears into the underbrush. (^_~)

Though K'tzhangs' question brings a slight frown to her fore-head,

"Y'know? I dun't rightly thing he did?" She says more to herself than any one else. She looks at their talkative informant,

So....how far d'ye reckon this place might be from here?" She asks.

Diplomacy:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

What exactly are y'all sneaking around for?

'Cause it be th' big bad woods, silly. :P *Giggles* (^_~)

Black Fang wrote:

To scout on the Stag Lords's camp/fortress.

Player Knowledge: It's just under 3 days ride south to get to the Stag Lord's Fort.
You're not going to sneak there in a few hours.

Male Half-Elf (Drow) Fighter (Crossbow) 3/Rogue 3 (Sniper)

Oh well then I'll do it when we are close enough! Minor detail there hahaha but I could just say I'm scouting ahead of the party also if that serves better since it is da big bad forest

"Let's get these guys loaded up and head out then.
Do we have an extra horse to tie them over?"

Sulna:
The third bandit is pretending to still be unconscious. You also notice his ropes are loose enough that he could probably slip free if he wants to.
Belros, Sulna, Sunny:
You notice the third, unconscious bandits ropes are loose.
At the question of enough horses, Donk says, "Horse here." He points at all of the horses you found with the bandits.
Adding those to the horses you arrived at the camp on put your total number of horses at 17, plus a pony and giant whiptail centipede.

"Struth an' bugger!" Sunny exclaims at her find and deftly draws a short sword as she begins to poke the 'asleep' Bandits with her other hand.

"Here now, wakey, wakey! Some one be playin' at Possum, lets jus' quit muckin' about an' come to an un'erstandin', hey?"

Sulna goes over to the third bandit and starts tightening his ropes. "We know you're awake. You can stop faking it."

Male Half (Dark)Elf Rogue/Fighter (3)

Hearing that the bandit is trying to get free Polson moves forward ready to immobilise him for good...

"Shouldn't we be handing these bandits to those army types at that place your friend is at...what was it?..Olacks?" says a concerned kobold.

"I think that Oleg's is pretty far away in the other direction. We could take them there but it would take a long time. I'm up for taking them to Oleg's."

"We can commit them all to the void as well and be done with it."

Male Half-Elf (Drow) Fighter (Crossbow) 3/Rogue 3 (Sniper)

Well now the void is a pretty vast place and I hate for them to coma back to bite my in the ass as something else later, I rather get the here were I can see it, but I think the gallows at Oleg's sounds better or whatever fate may befall him with a giant grin looking at Polson I say we can take him in alive, not his actual condition in which he might arrive to the a fore mentioned location

It's a day and a half to get to Oleg's, just under 3 days to the Stag Lord's Fort. Plus, if you return with all the horses and loot from the Thorn River Bandit Camp you'll be able to repay Oleg, and resupply.
The third bandit stops pretending to be unconscious, but doesn't say anything.
Deacon says, "Look, I ain't interested in hanging. Lock me up, make me work off my crimes. Like I said, I did my best to only rob those what had far more than needed. Hell, beat me to a pulp and leave me in a ditch. I ain't ready to face the Lady, so please to send me along."
Belros:
You know without a doubt his is lying.
K'tzhang:
You believe Deacon in his sincerity.
I have added a Quest list and Timeline HERE.

I thought we were chasin' after some one's kiddies? Hence time being pointed out as kind of the essence? Just' making' a small point.

Sunny walks/rides along chattering away with the conscious Bandit, trying to get a name or some such from the fellows.

Diplomacy:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22

As for the fellow getting a hard time.

[Whispered to Deacon]"Never mind, matey. The lads be havin' a good go at yer silent friend there. I trust yer words an'll make sure nothin' comes ill fer ye." Going so far as to give him a friendly pat on the arm.

Male Blue Scaled Kobold Gestalt Cleric 3/Ranger 3

K'Tzhang watches Sunny continue to interrogate the bandits. "So, we stay here tonight, and takes them with us to Oleg's tomorrow. You never know we might get a reward for them too. You know, we should allow the laws of your land to take their course, I don't want it to be like it was when I was with my folks and old Sootscale. He would take prisoners and just kill them, no idea of justice. I hoped it would be different with a group of humans and other races. Show me I wasn't wrong to join up with you? Besides, if prisoners like that one there," he points at Deacon, "can be given a chance to reform their ways, we should at least put in a good word for them. Save them from the noose or the more extreme ways of punishment. Perhaps he can even be persuaded to find a safe path to the Stag Lord's Fort. We can continue to ask him on the way back to Oleg's."

K'Tzhang then continues to make the camp safe and readies it for a stay tonight.

I'm assuming that its too late in the day to start moving out again and make camp elsewhere for the night..

Male Half-Elf (Drow) Fighter (Crossbow) 3/Rogue 3 (Sniper)

I think he is lying to the core as I point to him he is a dirty brigand like his Stag lord and should suffer the same fate as an example for his crimes to deter any future wannabe brigands that want to reform but they wont think about it until you beat them up and have them in chains leaning closer to him Wonder how many cries for help you ignored, wonder how many people you robbed and how many have you killed... Of course searching to end your ways while doing this. I would let him rot in a cell but I'm still taking you to Oleg's for your fate to be decided for if it was up to me this conversation would have been over LONG TIME AGO

"Do we take these bandits to Oleg's or do we continue on looking for Milosh's kids?
Taking them with us.

At Sulna's question/request Sunny bounces up in her saddle, throwing a hand into the sky with a loud,

"Th' KIDS!" to emphasize her vote/views.

Male Half (Dark)Elf Rogue/Fighter (3)

"Ensure they are bound tight and put them on horses. We take them back to Olegs, sell on what we don't need and then move on. Agreed?"

"What we doing with loud man?" He picks up the bandit he knocked out by the back of his shirt.

"I vote take the bandits to Oleg's. I don't want them attacking us in the night.

Male Half (Dark)Elf Rogue/Fighter (3)

"He goes back with us Donk, he faces trial like the rest. Make sure he doesn't try and escape will you?"

"That's 2 for Oleg's and 1 for the kids. What about the rest of you?"

Donk takes the one he has a hold of and tosses his unconscious form over one of the horses that's accustomed to his presence. "Good horsey. Carry bad man." He gently pets the head of the horse.

He turns to the rest of the group. "We go Oleg now?"

Male Blue Scaled Kobold Gestalt Cleric 3/Ranger 3

"Yes turn the bandits in at Olegs first, then the kids."

Male Tiefling - outsider (native) [demon-spawn] rogue/sorcerer [bloodline: undead] 3

Stands, stares off without looking at anything in particular for a couple of minutes, muttering under his breath...
Slightly jerks as if shaken awake from a dream, speaks in his gravel tone,"We can return the vermin for justice and pick up the trail for those missing. Confrontation with this vermin lord of deer seems to be inevitable."

"Ok, we are off to Oleg's then. Let's go."

The group camps for the night as the Thorn River Bandit Camp, with Nerik up all night as usual, and the rest taking 2-hour shifts on watch.

The next day, 30 Pharast, the group sets out for Oleg's, traveling without incident and camping just inside the edge of the forest.

Midday on the 31st, the group reaches Oleg's. The gate is closed, and you're hailed by one of Kesten's men. "Greetings. I thought y'all headed out to find Milosh's family?" He turns and yells something inside. The gate opens a minute later and you're all welcomed in.

Milosh rushes to you, "Where are they?! Where's my wife and children?!"

Sunny slides down off her horse and steps over to Milosh,

"There's been a...delay..." She says, hesitating for a moment before continuing, "We's keep gettin' way layed by folks fom th' Stag-Lord." She frowns.

"I gots some not good news t' tell ye, mate." And she gently puts her hands upon his shoulders as a physical show of support.

"When we gots t' yer place...well..." Sunny gathers herself, "The b@stards done got there first. Yer t'other half?" Sunny's expression tells the man all he needs to know.

"Then, when we set off t' bring back yer young 'uns, again, we keep gettin' jumped upon by folks o' th' Stag-Lord..."

Diplomacy:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15

Sunny hugs the fellow to help him is his time of grief and despair.

And to stop him running off and doing something...rash...

"We will only be here long enough to drop off these bandits and stock up on our supplies. Then we will be going back to look for your family Milosh."

Male Blue Scaled Kobold Gestalt Cleric 3/Ranger 3

K'Tzhang hangs back, but takes the opportunity to speak to the captain of the guard Kesten Garess at Oleg's, if they are still there. K'Tzhang starts the conversation with, "My Lord Captain, I hope we have honored the Lords of Restov and yourself, by our capture of these bandits we encountered on our travels. It seems only right that we hand them over to you, for justice to be done and seen to be done in accordance with the laws of your lands. I would however ask for clemency and indeed forgiveness for the one called Deacon, he has been most helpful in giving us information about the bandit scoundrel 'The Stag Lord'. If he were given to rebuild that which has been destroyed by the Stag Lord's men, as punishment for his crimes, then I am sure he would reform and become a friend of the guard. His two other friends, deserve nothing but the full force of justice to heaped upon their heads."

As he breaths and listens to Kesten's words once more, he continues in reply, "No doubt, we shall seek to end 'The Stag Lord's' reign and rid your land of his menace, I hope that we can do this with your approval, kind Lord."

K'Tzhang will lead Kesten back to the group and give the captives over to him, making a point of identifying Deacon.

Male Half (Dark)Elf Rogue/Fighter (3)

Polson echoes K'tzhang's words in regards to the bandits. He wanders around checking the horses and bundling up the goods which the party intend to trade.

Male Half-Elf (Drow) Fighter (Crossbow) 3/Rogue 3 (Sniper)

Will silently see all the charade to leave the prisoners so we might be able to resupply and see what that liar Deacon says now...

Already pale with worry, even more color drains from Milosh's face hearing of this death of Anya, his wife. At the news of Milinka's and Dujin's kidnapping, he collapses, sobbing and wailing.

At his collapse, Emerys comes running out of the stable, dropping a bucket. "Milosh, what's wrong?"

"Dead, they're all....dead...." He quickly draws a dagger from his belt and....
Grapple to keep him from stabbing the dagger into his head. Only Sunny, Emerys and Nerik are close enough to try and stop him.

Meanwhile with Kesten...

"You spin a good tale kobold, but I need more than the word of one of your kind to grant any one of those three anything more than a long hang from a short rope. But, since Polson echoes your words, and I have heard nothing but good about him, though he is a half-drow, I shall see to it Deacon is given a chance to redeem himself."

Kesten says, "Everyone stay inside, it is our business to handle them once they've been turned over.". He and two of his men take the two outside the walls, one walks back in and gets a horse. He whistles and the ends of two ropes fly over the wall. Kesten's man inside ties the ends to the horse and slowly starts to walk the horse away from the wall. He stops the horse when a whistle comes from outside. Any close enough can hear dulls thuds on the outside of the wall, probably from the boots striking the wall as the bandits bodies jerk around while be hung.
