"The Thousand Sons of Magnus the Red have always been the wisest of us, yet they have suffered the most, betrayed by their father and the gods. There is much risk and reward for us here."

Mentras:

"The thing was no Primarch but an abomination of a mad man who will find his true path in time like all of us will. There are a few of your old legion that have joined the fleet and took the black. In time we will unite all the legions and take back what is rightfully ours. You should enjoy the fruits of our labor when the time is right."

Abaddon slaps Menstras on the shoulder guard and goes to leave.

#########################

Deathraven pilots the Thunderbird down to the planet without issue. There was some turbulence but nothing crazy. 5 total Thunderbirds descended with yours carrying the founders. Ashur-Kai and Sargon stood aboard the Vengful Spirit.

When you land you are not greeted by any type of honor guard but a bunch of howling mutants with weapons in hand. They resemble the beast creatures aboard the Vengful Spirit as this is where Khayon had most of his slaves from as well. Sortiarius breeds loyal servants. In the distance you see the Tower of the Cyclops with the Eye of Mangus atop it staring down at your group.

The mutants clear a path as you move past them until you reach one of the Thousand Sons sorcerers. He is fully clad in his power armor with a long staff in one hand with the head of a crow atop it. Khayon nods and they appear to be having a conversation that none of you can hear. The sorcerer nods and slams the staff on the ground which makes hundreds of Rubric Marines "magically" appear behind him with their weapons at the ready but not pointing at you. They all turn facing inward at each other clearing a straight path to the tower and the Sorcerer moves aside.

All of this seems to easy to many of you.

Deathraven moves to walk beside Khayon as they approach the tower.

"Do not keep us in suspense, brother. What news did he impart to you? Should we be wary?"

"Magnus has been expecting us." Khayon replies.

Deathraven nodded, as if that was what he expected.

"Has he shared his thoughts on the current state of affairs with his sons? Does he see our coming as a boon or a threat?"

Deathraven preferred the path of the Open Hand, no matter how well-versed he had become in the Closed Fist method of diplomacy.

"Probably both Deathraven, I would expect no less. IN regards of his children state and his affairs with them is nothing of my concern yet."

"It is unwise to enter into any negotiations blindly, Aldegund. Especially when powers of the warp are involved. It is wise to know the problems of those you would ally with, lest their problems become your own. Negotiations are as dangerous as any battle. Mis-steps can prove just as fatal. And intelligence of any sort can be just as crucial."

Taloc keeps his eyes sharp for signs of betrayal, Magnus is not known for such trickery and Khayon was one of his sons but the power of Chaos can warp the rational mind.

There is a line of Rubric Marines that block your path before you reach the giant iron doors of the Tower of the Cyclops. There is an unpleasant silence for a while until the doors slowly open.

The first thing you see through the darkness are the red eyes followed by his red skin, armour and hair. His features looked similar to that before he ascended to daemonhood but he is a bit more feral looking with claws and giant red leathery wings on his back hugging tight to his body. His large chain axe is strapped to his side as he walks from his tower toward you.

He stands 2 heads taller than Abaddon and his eyes seem like they can look right into your soul as he looks at you during his approach. The Rubric Marines move to the side giving you a complete view of all his might. Raw warp energies emit from ever ounce of his being. When he speaks it's like your hearing the rivers of the warp slam into your mind.

"So... You are those who wear the black. Tell me why I should not kill you all and end this right now?"

Taloc salutes Magnus with the traditional Chthonian greeting, "You will not because you wish to hear what the Warmaster has to say. You will not because you, like us, wish to strike back at the False God Emperor for his betrayal of us all. You should not because it would be rude and not in keeping with the honor that you are known for Primarch".

Aldegund just glances over Taloc Very factual sounding, yet assuming in every account except perhaps the first."

Deathraven cocks his head, curiously as he stares at Magnus. He remembered the awe that he felt as the Primarchs strode among them. He felt none of that here. How far had they fallen?

"If you wanted to kill us, you would have made the attempt already. This movement is growing. We want you with us. As part of a new brotherhood. We will reclaim that which was taken from us."

Deathraven looked at the others among them before continuing.

"We were the ones responsible for giving your brother Horus a final peace, and stopped the Emperor's Children from using him as a weapon."

Space Marine Dark Apostle 2/18 wounds 3/3 infamy fatigue 1

Akkad pays his respects to the awesome being before him. "You have always been wise, one who understands that no knowledge is proscribed and all must be attained. Yet, you do not know what has come to you, and desire to understand. How have we found brotherhood with these sons of different fathers? One of your sons has taken this cause. Sons of Lorgar have taken to this. You desire to learn why."

Magnus regards the group before him as you all speak your peace and rests his gaze upon Abaddon.
"Warmaster?" he says questiongly. "A mighty title for perhaps a worthy warrior."

He turns his gaze back to the group.
"The Changer of Ways has shown me this coming. You all are part of something greater I see this but not all of you will make it to the things yet to come."

His gaze falls last upon Khayon.
"My son. It saddens me to see you."

You see little horrors beginning to manifest at Magnus feet. They growl and bare their fangs at you but do not leave his side.

"Such is the ways of war. Not all of us will survive to see victory, but at least we will die for something. It will not be here, fighting in petty squabbles while the galaxy crumbles under it's own monolithic weight, run into the ground by those who are unworthy to rule it."

Deathraven marked the positions of everyone. He prepared himself for the battle that seemed to be slowly taking form.

"All wars have their tolls, that is not something new" as Aldegund would have nothing of what Magnus and Khayon have for each other, he know if a fight breaks he will need to fight again against not only a primarch, but demons and the thousands sons rubric marines and sorcerers.

Although standing in the presence of such a magnificent being Draex's mind is flooded, overloaded with the intrusion of warp energies. Voices whispering in his mind of pleasures he could obtain and of horrors that will plague him should he not give in to the powers of the warp. Draex's cracked mind cannot filter the energy pouring fourth from The Crimson king. Draex stands blood and snot pouring from his nostrils, out his ears and blood vessels burst in his eyes. Tears welling in his eyes involuntarily as the nails go into hyper drive stabbing everything that can be stabbed, plucking the raw nerves like guitar strings. Draex appears to be lost starring blankly into infinity but never taking his eyes off of magnus. Draex hands twist and turns crinkling up, but he taps his fist against his breast plate twice and you all see it was a struggle.

"M-mm-ag-nus" draex exclaims in a dry whisper

"You misunderstand what I am saying. The pantheon has greater designs for some of you and you are not going to be apart of what is to come in the near future."

Abaddon looked at Magnus with a bit of confusion.
"Speak clearly Magnus One Eye. What to you mean."

"I will show you." Magnus replied

The eye atop his tower begins to flash a bright red as it's ray pierces your soul.

YOU ALL DIE!

I'll post updates later or tomorrow got party today.

Party? I'll believe that when I see it! ;-)

You feel your muscles tighten and your mind spazzes with pain. One moment you see Magnus before you the next you see the stars and you blaze past them like speeding ship. (think star wars warp drive).

You see visions of the past as the Emperor walks ahead of your army's during the great crusade. Then it flashes to the betrayal and war on Terra and you see Horus strike the Emperor and the Emperor ending Horus life. You are then pushed past that and you see Abaddon leading a massive host invading the Imperium with your brother in black as well as the other 8 legions aiding in the war.

Your armour starts to warn you that your vitals are in danger and it kicks in stasis protocols. And then there was darkness and you sleep...

########################

*Bleep* *Bleep* *Bleep*

Your eyes open but you only see the visuals on your helm and complete darkness. The display shows your vitals as all functioning and systems are all active but you can't move. Then you feel a shudder and you realize why you can't move. Your buried and the earth around you is shaking and starting to crack setting you free.

Finally the sky can be seen as you pull yourself free from the earth. Purplish-black clouds fill the sky like a rapidly spreading bruise. The ground trembles as powerful, unseen forces scrabble at the world and pull it in all directions at once. Suddenly, a bright beam of purple light erupts from somewhere in the distance and pierces the thick swirling clouds, scattering them to reveal a seething maw of raw warp energy. Daemons swarm from the blasphemous aperture, and descend down from where the light came from. There is a sound like the tearing of a great, thick, heavy cloth, a searing flash of bruise-coloured light, and then nothing.

Deathraven stands, brushing himself off. He blinks insde his helm, bringing up the chronometer function of his armor.

What is the time/date?

The chronometer is unable to determine time/date.

Headcount and search for cover.

It's only the six of you there. There is plenty of natural terrain for cover but nothing man or alien made near you.

Akkad growls as he pulls himself free, and braces for a fight. Seeing the alien landscape around him, he focuses, and tries to look around with his new neverborn senses.

Aldegund frees himself with more trouble that he imagined, still coming back from such devastating vision to his senses and neural stimuli.

Akkad:

This whole planet feels like it's being ripped open by warp energies.

After the flash of light all seems calm. The skies clear almost as if the storm you saw moments ago was never there. Using your systems you calculate it will take you 1 days travel to get a more approximate location if you decide to venture that way.

Deathraven looks around for high ground that he can use to get the lay of the land. If no such ground exists, he will head towards the last visible signs of activity. i.e. the warp storm.

"I do not know, but we will not find out standing here. Let's move out."

Sorry didn't describe the land to you guys.

It's a rocky desert like landscape with some hills and small mountain terrain but mostly flat from where you guys are at the moment.

Taloc shrugs, "That way seems as good as any on this blasted planet".

Taloc falls in line with Deathraven heading in the direction of the warp energies.

Can we make rolls to determine if one of us has heard of this type of landscape in our travels in the Eye? Perhaps we can I the planet we are on that way.

None of you are familiar with this planet based on the landscape you see.

Your group traverses the terrain effortlessly for a few hours when suddenly an obelisk violently thrust its way out of the ground in front of your group, protruding more than 10 meters above the earth. The ground around it is cracked and shattered, with deep fissures running all around the structure. The blackened chrome-like metal of the structure glows green with runes and smoke and dust continue to roll off the obelisk. On one side is some manner of door or portal, from which a ranked phalanx of metal skeletal warriors march in perfect order.

There are Five metal warriors and a horde of Scarabs coming your way. Please roll init!

None of you have ever seen creatures like this before. They resemble human skeletons but made of silver like metal and glowing green. They hold these large rifle like weapons with a green glowing canister that appears to be it's energy source. The scarab swarm is also made of metal little creatures and appear to be following the warriors toward your group. You are about 30 meters from where the obelisk erupted from the ground.

Deathraven brought his bolter into target acquisition and fired several bolt rounds into one of the metal men.
