You can always give a short description of doing the non-plot relevant stuff (like gathering spices) and then make your way to the tavern.

I doubt the GM will mind if you take the reigns of the story long enough to get the party introductions underway.

I will make a post about what spices she will get and about her going to the tavern when I get home from work.

Male Aasimar (Angelkin) Monk (Ki Mystic/Weapon Adept) 1: AC 17, FF 13, Touch 17; HP 1/11; Init +3; Fort +2, Ref +5, Will +5; Perception +7 SM +9

I don't think he would mind either, but Haaken actually came to Frostbark to see Rista...so...

Liberty's Edge

Male Ratfolk Bard 1: AC 17, FF 15, touch 13; HP 10/10; Init +4; Fort +1, Ref +6, Will +2; Perception +5 SM +3

yeah just head down to tavern

Argh! I can't seem to think of how to word my post. Maybe when our illustrious DM comes back we can get things moving again.

Liberty's Edge

Male Ratfolk Bard 1: AC 17, FF 15, touch 13; HP 10/10; Init +4; Fort +1, Ref +6, Will +2; Perception +5 SM +3

doesn't look good lol...

Male Human Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) 1: AC 18, FF 16, touch 12; HP 28/28; Init +8; Fort +5, Ref+2, Will +1; Perception +5, SM +1

Hmmm, I'm reluctant to let this die. How about appealing for a DM, or even round robin DMing between us? We needen't continue with the planned module, simply getting in Irrisen and tying to get Thordan his audience with the Queen sounds like a virtual AP in itself.

A few level of random encounters, set piece with the border defenses which are outlined in the article of Irrisen, more wilderness with higher level and ice fey theme. From the Irrisen article I read there are still towns of subdjugated humans, etc., could be very interesting.

Though of course I am still keeping my fingers crossed we are not being abandoned :)

I am in favor of waiting a bit first. Real life sometimes can suddenly break through and leave no time for posting. I have had it happen before to me.

Lets give it some time. Maybe after a week or two we can see what we want to do from there.

Male Aasimar (Angelkin) Monk (Ki Mystic/Weapon Adept) 1: AC 17, FF 13, Touch 17; HP 1/11; Init +3; Fort +2, Ref +5, Will +5; Perception +7 SM +9

I'm content to give Orannis a bit of time to reappear. If he doesn't show sometime this next week, I'll be happy to discuss other options.

Liberty's Edge

Male Ratfolk Bard 1: AC 17, FF 15, touch 13; HP 10/10; Init +4; Fort +1, Ref +6, Will +2; Perception +5 SM +3

Yeah lets name it Thordan and Friends.

LOL jokes aside yea leah let's give it 1 week, i hope DM returns. I never done DM before probably Thorgar or Vedic wanna run it since they are most experienced.

HP 8/8, AC 14, Fort +1, Ref, +2, Will +3, Per +7, Change Energy 9/9

I'd be happy to take over and run a short dungeon crawl as a sort of preamble to whatever DM Orannis had planned. Maybe a short dungeon to find a key or a map that would let us into the main dungeon.

If the GM comes back I'll wrap things up quick and hand it over to him. If he doesn't come back by the time we get through my mini-dungeon we can decide what we want to do then.

Male Aasimar (Angelkin) Monk (Ki Mystic/Weapon Adept) 1: AC 17, FF 13, Touch 17; HP 1/11; Init +3; Fort +2, Ref +5, Will +5; Perception +7 SM +9

I'm all for it Vedic. I'll bluebook something with Rista, PM it to Orannisfor approval/edits, and make my way over to the Linnorm.

Sound good?

HP 8/8, AC 14, Fort +1, Ref, +2, Will +3, Per +7, Change Energy 9/9

Sounds great.

Because I hate running GMNPCS, I'll have Vedic stay behind and offer a reward for investigating something for him.

As a GM I tend to be skimpy on cash and permanent magical rewards, but am fond of one-shot boosts like potions and scrolls.

I'm already getting ideas...

Male Human Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) 1: AC 18, FF 16, touch 12; HP 28/28; Init +8; Fort +5, Ref+2, Will +1; Perception +5, SM +1

Sounds great to me Vedic :) Let us know if you want us to do anything to make life easier, etc. :)

Liberty's Edge

Male Ratfolk Bard 1: AC 17, FF 15, touch 13; HP 10/10; Init +4; Fort +1, Ref +6, Will +2; Perception +5 SM +3

Thordan's tail swish around excitedly.

Let's all gather in Tavern and Vedic say you found something in your stack and you offer us the quest etc.

HP 8/8, AC 14, Fort +1, Ref, +2, Will +3, Per +7, Change Energy 9/9

I'll get to it as soon as the whole party gets to the tavern.

Haakan, Raven, you have the reins.

Liberty's Edge

Male Ratfolk Bard 1: AC 17, FF 15, touch 13; HP 10/10; Init +4; Fort +1, Ref +6, Will +2; Perception +5 SM +3

I will PM them.

To be honest, I prefer to wait. I never gave my approval for anything else. It is only fair to Orannis.

HP 8/8, AC 14, Fort +1, Ref, +2, Will +3, Per +7, Change Energy 9/9

That's fine too. We can wait.

I still think having the party RP itself together is a good idea.

Male Human Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) 1: AC 18, FF 16, touch 12; HP 28/28; Init +8; Fort +5, Ref+2, Will +1; Perception +5, SM +1

Don't get me wrong I am really hoping Orannis is able to continue, but this early in a PBP this seems like a very bad sign. I've had a great many similar experiences none of which ended up with the DM returning for a consistent game :( I would of course be delighted if this proved the exception to the rule.

Male Aasimar (Angelkin) Monk (Ki Mystic/Weapon Adept) 1: AC 17, FF 13, Touch 17; HP 1/11; Init +3; Fort +2, Ref +5, Will +5; Perception +7 SM +9

I'll post a segue tonight, to get us over to the Linnorm, so we can get some Rp going to gel the party. Let's give him some room, but he hasn't even checked in since last week, so I don't really have an issue with getting the show moving.

HP 8/8, AC 14, Fort +1, Ref, +2, Will +3, Per +7, Change Energy 9/9

He did say he was going to be busy and have limited net access last Tuesday. Maybe things were even worse than he anticipated.

I'm willing to give him about another week before we start coming up with other ideas. In the mean time, RP is good.

Liberty's Edge

Male Ratfolk Bard 1: AC 17, FF 15, touch 13; HP 10/10; Init +4; Fort +1, Ref +6, Will +2; Perception +5 SM +3

Yea, well Thordan did knocked down Rista we can say he throws a tantrum for spilling his spices and chases all of us away back into the tavern where we could do some RP to know each other while waiting for the DM...

just a suggestion.

Male Aasimar (Angelkin) Monk (Ki Mystic/Weapon Adept) 1: AC 17, FF 13, Touch 17; HP 1/11; Init +3; Fort +2, Ref +5, Will +5; Perception +7 SM +9

No need to go all "Jar Jar" on us, man.

Liberty's Edge

Male Ratfolk Bard 1: AC 17, FF 15, touch 13; HP 10/10; Init +4; Fort +1, Ref +6, Will +2; Perception +5 SM +3

As in Jar Jar Binks?

Alrighty, everybody. Work was pretty intense earlier this week, but it should be calm through the weekend. Since our GM is still mia, I'm ready to move forward if everybody still wants game.

Thordan, I can get to the tavern without the slapstick help, the enthusiasm is appreciated, though. Let's all chime in with our thoughts, and figure this out!

Liberty's Edge

Male Ratfolk Bard 1: AC 17, FF 15, touch 13; HP 10/10; Init +4; Fort +1, Ref +6, Will +2; Perception +5 SM +3

lol yeah, it depends on Raven now though.

I guess to be fair, Orannis did say that if two consecutive weeks passed, that the player would be dropped from the game, so he should be held to the same. One down. One to go. Regardless, we should get together in the tavern. And if those present take a roadtrip, I see no problem with that. Look for me in the tavern after luch tomorrow. Loins girded.

Hey guys! Doing some unexpected overnight shifts for work. Posting is going to be a bit sporadic and at odd hours, but I'm going to try to get one in *about* every 24 hours. Everything should be back to normal by Thursday. If I'm not dead, anyways, hahaha. :-P

Hi guys I believe this is the end of 2 weeks already. So how is it?

HP 8/8, AC 14, Fort +1, Ref, +2, Will +3, Per +7, Change Energy 9/9

I'm still here. I'm still willing to run a short dungeon crawl while we wait.

Male Aasimar (Angelkin) Monk (Ki Mystic/Weapon Adept) 1: AC 17, FF 13, Touch 17; HP 1/11; Init +3; Fort +2, Ref +5, Will +5; Perception +7 SM +9

Yea, let's start something up, I'd hate to see this go nowhere.

HP 8/8, AC 14, Fort +1, Ref, +2, Will +3, Per +7, Change Energy 9/9

Raven, you were the one who wanted to wait.

We've waited. What do you say now?

Male Human Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) 1: AC 18, FF 16, touch 12; HP 28/28; Init +8; Fort +5, Ref+2, Will +1; Perception +5, SM +1

I'm still ready and raring to go :)

It has been long enough. Let's get this moving. I really don't want to miss this opportunity to play a strix.

Game on!

Thordan, could we not have slapstick antics? It detracts immensely from my enjoyment of the game.

Alrighty. Just bored waiting for the GM...that's why..

HP 8/8, AC 14, Fort +1, Ref, +2, Will +3, Per +7, Change Energy 9/9

If you could follow that tirade of madness, congratulations. :)

(yes, it really does make sense. I swear.)

HP 8/8, AC 14, Fort +1, Ref, +2, Will +3, Per +7, Change Energy 9/9

Vedic views the world as an elaborate jigsaw puzzle. As such he often makes assumptions about where he wants the various pieces to fit without much thought to what the pieces themselves might want.

So, if anyone feels pressured or shoehorned during this exchange, feel free to resist, ask questions, get confused or upset.

I'm not trying to railroad you into the adventure, but Vedic is.

React however you feel is appropriate. I'll roll with it.

lol u r making my life challenging but I like it

Haaken just learned that there is more to his errand than he thought, and was given a zen koan for instruction on what to do... so it'll take a bit of RP to draw him in.

But that''s fun too!

HP 8/8, AC 14, Fort +1, Ref, +2, Will +3, Per +7, Change Energy 9/9

Works for me.

Raven, care to give us a post? If not, say so here and I'll move things along.

Male Human Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) 1: AC 18, FF 16, touch 12; HP 28/28; Init +8; Fort +5, Ref+2, Will +1; Perception +5, SM +1

Thorgar's just looking baffled and bemused :)

Post is up.

Shopping can be handled over here. Just add the things you need from your inventory and deduct the cash. Pool your money if you like.

The general store has a good selection of items at normal quality and price. Anything out of the ordinary (like alchemical items), run by me and I'll assign a DC for a Knowledge: Local or Profession: Merchant check.

I'm going to go ahead and move things along.

Male Human Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) 1: AC 18, FF 16, touch 12; HP 28/28; Init +8; Fort +5, Ref+2, Will +1; Perception +5, SM +1

Deducted the coin, and added, 50ft hemp rope, a grappling hook, and 5 pitons.

I got no coins for potions.

Me niether, I think we'll be ok.

Male Human Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) 1: AC 18, FF 16, touch 12; HP 28/28; Init +8; Fort +5, Ref+2, Will +1; Perception +5, SM +1

Yup, I always rather enjoy having to make use of natural healing, etc.

I will deduct the cost of a healing kit and add it to my inventory. After all, Raven does have the heal skill.

Loot Tracker Current Map

In low level games I always think it's more fun not to have access to much healing. It always feels more exciting when the damage stays.
