Sales rules only change if you are having to sell things off because of changes Paizo makes to the class or archetype. For this situation, you buy at full and sell at half.

Just make sure that it is all notated on your chronicle for MotFF correctly and you should be good. If you wish for me to countersign it, I can but most of that is generally taken on the honor system.

Considering the outages that have been happening lately, I am passing out my Google ID in case anyone has Google Hangouts and wishes to add me for communication that doesn't involve Paizo trickeries :-) No offense meant to any lurkers!! I promise!!!

Anyways, if you wish to check up on the game or to contact me for any reason, I am on Google Hangouts, and my address is dragonthoughts83@gmail.com

|Ruins |WBGoblins|RotRL| Emerald Spire|

ok.. so Here are the official rules about cover and corners. You will notice in the footnote under the diagram (number 2) that according to Paizo, attacking around corners is considered complete cover for the defender. However, there is no specific word for word statement in the rules stating this.. it is simply inferred. Under Complete Cover, it states that complete cover is only granted if you cannot draw a line from your square direct to the enemy square without passing through a wall. In my mind, the adjoining corner, if nothing else, is a direct line. My rulings regarding corners are typically to grant a +2 or a +4 partial cover bonus based upon circumstances.

I also treat doorways in much the same manner, granting AC bonuses depending on where the attacker and defender are standing.

Strict Pathfinder Society interpretation? Most likely not.
Reality and doing my best through my own knowledge of combat and hand to hand fighting to maintain a semblance of reality instead of rules lawyering and minutiae? Most certainly. I much prefer to immerse myself in reality based fantasy gaming and using common sense than to just say "Nope, Not possible." (Yes, I fully realize the conundrum and paradox presented by the previous statement.. so sue me! LOL)

Thanks to John Compton, everyone that was participating in a game on Saturday gets to reap the rewards of participating in Free RPG Day!! Although the second boon is not available, you do get a special boon allowing you to replay one specific mission.

BOON LINK

John Comptons Clarification Post

Please note that these are limited to one per player, not per character. I have filled out the applicable information at the bottom.. just fill in the top when you assign this to a character. It does not have to be the character that is in this game.

Thanks Devildoc, I didn't even know this was a thing! Not sure how valuable a replay of a past scenario is, but I'll take it :>

|Ruins |WBGoblins|RotRL| Emerald Spire|

In my case, I am most interested in the We be goblins replay. That is a really fun series.

Replays are normally used for one of two purposes: either you have played parts of a multi-scenario arc with a character and would like to get all of them on the same character, or because a particular scenario is really fun or would fit really well with a specific character. I have used replays for both of these reasons.

I've never been lucky enough to get in a We be goblins run in the first place. It sounds awesome.

|Ruins |WBGoblins|RotRL| Emerald Spire|

I am planning a full WBG run in the future.. I just have to get these three tables finished so I can get back down to a manageable bandwidth. Right now I am gming four games and playing in 7

A couple of notes for the group:
I would really like to finish this arc and have everything completed and reported prior to the start of GameDay VI on 25 August. This gives us just less than two months to complete the scenario, but I think that we can manage easily as long as post rates are kept up. I am not expecting anything extraordinary, but I would like to re-emphasize my request for at least a post a day to help keep things moving.

With that said, I am giving advance notice that I will be travelling the second week of July for more Dr. appointments with the wifey. This shouldn't interrupt things too badly, but we do intend to make use of the summer vacation by spending a few extra days with family during this time. At the moment, we are looking at being out of town from July 10th-12th.

Two months sounded like a huge amount of time, until I looked back at when we started and see it was the beginning of FEBRUARY! Wow time has flown this year.

I'll be trying to post more often to make sure we're done by then. My summer vacations this year are all wrapped up (I was able to post semi-regularly during them both).

Also... I guess we lost Rashid permanently? I remember noticing that he was not with us for the latter part of MoFF, but I thought he was on vacation or something. Or did I miss him saying that he was bowing out?

|Ruins |WBGoblins|RotRL| Emerald Spire|

Lol.. yes, Tellerin. Time does tend to fly by without very much notice in PbP. Indeed, this is the very double edged sword that kills so many games on the boards. It is easy to lose track of time and not realize that so much has passed. When things are going well, that is a good thing and you cover a lot of ground! However, it is easy both as a player and as a GM to allow apathy to come in and slow your posting.

I am GMing a Rise of the Runelords game that started over a year and a half ago.. and we are just now close to finishing the first book. There have been many slow points and many tedious dungeon crawls, but it is important to find a balance in your posting. Most Society scenarios take about 3 months to complete in PbP, with modules going for 4-5 months I know of some groups that have been playing for years on here at the same table. Some games are the exception to either end of this range, but that is about average expectations.

As for Rashid, he slowed down considerably as we progressed through the tower, and then disappeared shortly after you found Balenar in the second to last level of MotFF and did not participate at all in the last fight. I PM'd him several times through this, but eventually had to drop him after receiving no responses. Although this happens occasionally, it did earn his player a ban from my tables should he ever turn up again (provided there were not extreme circumstances). You will find most board GM's are like this.. if a person simply disappears without a reason or word, they tend to find it hard to find a GM to trust them afterwards.

Human (Varisian) fighter (two-weapon fighter) 2 AC 16, T 13, FF 13 | hp 22/22 | Fort +5, Ref +3, Will +2 (+1 vs. Fear)

Sometimes people don't realize the length of time it takes to do things in PbP. I had a player just quit from our table in the middle of the last PBP multiplayer special. He said he was out, and didn't just fade away which was nice. Just really unusual.

|Ruins |WBGoblins|RotRL| Emerald Spire|

Ouch. I can understand the sentiment, but to say a special runs too slow?

Yeah that is an interesting situation. I've been in one game for maybe a year and a half and we only have me and one other guy from the original group, as well as the GM who has done a great job of holding the game together, but at times it was so slow. I have nothing to reference it too though, I've never played anything but pbp.

I could be wrong, but I believe that channeling negative energy would hurt his party members as well, just as channeling positive energy heals the bad guys. Unless he has selective channeling, and even then he would need a 16 CHA to not hit everyone. That also raises the question, does channeling negative energy hurt the cleric and if not, then why does channeling positive energy heal the cleric. Does this make sense. It just struck me as an interesting thought.

Also so that I've been such a lousy poster lately. If had some minor surgery and its kept me occupied

Cleric page, Channel Energy last paragraph: wrote:
Channeling energy causes a burst that affects all creatures of one type (either undead or living) in a 30-foot radius centered on the cleric. The amount of damage dealt or healed is equal to 1d6 points of damage plus 1d6 points of damage for every two cleric levels beyond 1st (2d6 at 3rd, 3d6 at 5th, and so on). Creatures that take damage from channeled energy receive a Will save to halve the damage. The DC of this save is equal to 10 + 1/2 the cleric's level + the cleric's Charisma modifier. Creatures healed by channel energy cannot exceed their maximum hit point total—all excess healing is lost. A cleric may channel energy a number of times per day equal to 3 + her Charisma modifier. This is a standard action that does not provoke an attack of opportunity. A cleric can choose whether or not to include herself in this effect. A cleric must be able to present her holy symbol to use this ability.

Clerics can always choose whether or not to include themselves in their own channeled energy, but otherwise yeah, he'd need to have selective channeling to not murder his allies (assuming they're not undead or dhampir). I figure he probably does, or these guys would make for a pretty clutz-y assassin team.

Thanks, I don't know how I missed that. My guess is that he does, but being a dwarven cleric myself, I know all too well the difficulty of getting a CHA score high enough to exclude all 3. So I figured id brong it up.

Actually, very good point, Dolvin, and I appreciate you catching me on that. I do not play channel characters very often, and completely forgot about that. I will retcon that the channel didn't happen, no damage to anyone and the cleric just lost his turn to keep some form of continuity here.

Looking back over his stats, he has neither selective channeling, nor the charisma to do jack crap even if he did!

Thank you all for your thoughts and well wishes. We knew a surgery was coming, but expected more than two days between getting the call and her laying on the table. It was literally "Be here the day after tomorrow or theres no telling how long it will take to get things set up again.."

So.. Surgery went well, she is doing better than I ever thought she would be doing at this point, and is moving quickly on the path to recovery and walking again!

I am sorry for the sudden ending with little to no transition here, but there was no way around it with the current circumstances. I have really enjoyed our time together, and appreciate your willingness and dedication to this journey. Each of you are welcome at any table that I run!! Good gaming, everyone!

Your chronicles can be found Here, and I will be reporting the game ASAP.

If you wouldn't mind taking a few moments, I would appreciate your feedback just one more time!
