@Aberus:

• The copper brooch belonged to the son of the chief of Neathholm (the mongrelfolk). If you kept it it's worth 200 gp. If you gave it to him, it's worth 200 xp. Your call.
• Marble statuette: 75 gp.
• Bejeweled book of Baphomet: 50 gp, primarily as a curiosity that the crusaders will lock away.

We didn't show the brooch to anyone or ask about it, so I'd feel weird taking the XP and saying we returned it. But I don't want to make a unilateral decision, either.

What do the rest of you think?

I agree with the cleric.

Yeah, that feels like it'd be a weird retroactive move.

OK. That's 3 out of 5 for selling it instead of a retcon for XP.

The list of the loot is here, along with sale values.

The total sale value is 5103.01 gp

We have two options: set aside a "party share" and build up a party fund that can be used to cover any party-wide items or actions we might need in the future (a raise dead, etc.) or no party share and just divide the money equally.

  • If we assign a half-share to a party fund, then we get 927.82 gp ea
  • If we assign a full share to a party fund, then we get 850.50 gp
  • If we don't have a party share, then we all get 1020.60 gp

Preferences?

You can buy anything off the loot list from your share. E.g., Telerin probably wants the spell books, Aberus wants the wand of Spiritual Weapon (there's 1 charge left). And I think I remember Uriel taking the banded mail.

I've assigned the sword to Uriel since he's the most likely person to use it. Being an essentially priceless item, it doesn't count against his share.

I like the idea of a party share. It makes it easier to shop since I suck at figuring out stuff to buy in-game.

Also, are we levelling up? I can't do it right now because I haven't had time to boot up my computer all weekend, and I don't feel comfortable making sweeping changes to my character sheet with the spotty typing and autocorrect on my Samsung Galaxy...

In our tabletop game, we use the party fund to pay for items that primarily benefit the party rather than an individual, items that everyone needs because of the nature of the campaign, expensive healing, and healing wands. Some examples:

  • Resurrection spell
  • Restoration spell
  • Wand of Restoration, Lesser
  • Wand of Cure Light Wounds
  • Bag of Holding
  • Wand of Haste
  • Horses

Who carries around the Party fund, I have found a lot of GMs don't like it becaues it is "there" but "not there"

Way back in our 3.5 game, our GM declared that banking existed, and we deposited it there. We stayed pretty close to home for that campaign. Same went for our first PF game, which was RotR.

Our current tabletop game is the Jade Regent AP, so the party share goes on the caravan.

For this game, where there's effectively no infrastructure left in the city, it'd make sense to divide it evenly among the players until something better comes along.

You can safely store stuff in Defender's Heart for pickup later. Right now the "village" is small enough that everybody knows everybody and it won't be stolen.

Also, I will be traveling for the holidays and posting will be sporadic until the new year.

I was gonna say we kind of already have a secure place to store things in the Defender's Heart, so it makes sense. Thanks for confirming, Azura!

Hello? I know I've been busy, but it's been a week since I posted...

Campaign maps: Team Wrath map: Gray Garrison | Team Wardens map: Defender's Heart Garden

Been a hell of a thing. Had to travel again over the weekend, 6 hours of driving each way, and yesterday was a totally absurd busy day at the office. :/

Male Tiefling Druid (Nature Fang) 3|HP: 24/24|AC: 17/12/15|Saves: +5 Fort, +3 Ref, +5 Will|Init: +2|Perc: +8

I get that. I'm no stranger to absurd busy days at the office, especially since I work at a hotel in Minnesota, and the Superbowl is coming in a couple of weeks. I feel your pain.

Campaign maps: Team Wrath map: Gray Garrison | Team Wardens map: Defender's Heart Garden

The worst part is that the holidays were no vacation. I literally spent Xmas in the hospice with grandpa, who is not doing well. :/

Male Tiefling Druid (Nature Fang) 3|HP: 24/24|AC: 17/12/15|Saves: +5 Fort, +3 Ref, +5 Will|Init: +2|Perc: +8

Ooh, I definitely know how that feels. I don't have any more grandparents to visit. :(

I think I've gotten everything finished for leveling up Arloric! Though I do need to update his gear. I can't remember if we divvied up anything recently, apart from the sword Uriel is now using and Terelendev's scales (which I've forgotten which one I have, sorry)...

Aberus is ready to go and I'll get his updated sheet posted tonight. The big change is adding Selective Channeling as a feat.

Our loot DB is on a Google Sheet, but I didn't track the scales since we each got one individually.

Of the four types, we only have three because Ithilwen had the only "Disguise" one. Here's the list:

Resistance: Aberus, Telerin
Cloudwalking: Arloric, Alexa
Sacred Weaponry: Uriel

I legitimately forgot I had a Cloudwalking scale. Thanks for the reminder.
