Game Master baldwin the merciful

Chimera Cove lies at the southern tip of a rocky and storm-swept cape projecting into the Inner Sea, in a no-man’s-land between the great nations of Cheliax and Andoran. The three islands sitting just off shore do little to block the sea’s relentless swells, but they do effectively anchor the persistent coastal fog, making local navigation perilous. The fishermen who settled this grim seashore decades ago have a knack for maneuvering their catboats to and from their spindly docks, but no merchant ships dare use the treacherous cove, even with a launch. Few outsiders find the settlement’s steady decline in recent years surprising, wondering only at why the place was ever founded.

Rena you view is obscured only one person was unaffected and he was the first freed villager, another was freed and followed. The others are gagging and unable to do anything but move. One weakly grabs at the dagger offered.

Was hoping when she took the next space, a non-affected (outside template/outline) villager could take dagger and free themselves, then others. Leaving all villager specifics to you, didn't want to be presumptuous or overly specific.

You are right the fog provides total concealment and the magic missiles would not work. Xavier you have those HP back.

Just for clarification you are actually moving not 5 ft stepping and then moving. You can't 5 ft step and move in the same round.

It is hazardous terrain - fog and villagers - but you move behind the Orog and flank with Targus. the orog takes an AOO on you, as you move through the threaten area that is within his vision. G:6 gives you flank. F:5 is a villager.

the orog just hit by Xavier tries to hit the warpriest again,

the second Orog moves to G:7 to flank with his comrade on Xavier. Xavier gets an AOO on the orog moving to G:7.

The warpriest is significantly injured. I think you are at 14 HP.

I completely forgot to put that on Quiz's spell book too, although it would have required the use of Quick Study to swap it out, since at this level he can only have 1 level 3 spell memorised at a time. I think access to the highest level spells is a major balancing factor for Arcanists in combat.

The two great equalizers in most games: 1. failed saves. Once that happened it took two players out of the game. In hindsight, Rena probably should have vacated the stinking cloud rather than press on through it. 2. DM Controls the initial terrain. Stacking the villagers in front of the door creates an obstacle to overcome.


RD 4: Yellow Orog

the hand to hand combat continues at the back of the boathouse, the monk
attacks with a single strike:

punishing kick, human: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 9 + 2 = 18;damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

to kick prone. (I wanted to kick you into the water 5 ft but the rule states you have to be able to stand unless I knock you prone.)

DC 15 fort save to avoid being prone.

Rd4: With his Divine Favor and Destruction blessing about to expire, and BADLY wounded the Priest has to use his powers just to stay alive.
He spontaneously loses his prepared SILENCE to swift Cure Moderate Wounds on himselfUsing 1 fervor. Man I am buring this quickly
Swift Cure Moderate Wounds: 2d8 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (1, 7) + 6 + 4 = 18

he then moves back into the fog cloud hoping the hostile terrain will afford him some breathing room move to E5, unsure if this provokes as the first 5foot step puts him in concealment. his HP are 36 when any AOO's are taken.

and then using his standard action to spont cast CURE MODERATE WOUNDS again....Cure Moderate Wounds: 2d8 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 3) + 6 + 4 = 18

The AOO hit hard but the Orog is not dead.

I won't take the AOOs, no need to kill you. I think they would get the AOO since you are moving out of threatened square without withdrawing. You'd probably get the 20% concealment.

Prudent move, if you hit him he was probably down since you do quite a bit of damage, but if you missed then you'd be down. Better to live to fight again.

That is why I didn't have him flurry you again.

Seeing the human change into a large bears is pretty startling, but the orog attacks with his greataxe trying to hack the beast down,

The transformation is not quite complete so the attack actually hi for 18 HP of damage.

How wide is the hole Targus made? I'm hoping to get line of sight to make sense of what's going on inside, which means moving.

His divine favore expired AND Destruction blessing expired, but his health rejuvenated, Xavier uses a Standard Action to renew his Destruction Blessing and taunts the Orog's Come in and Play and we'll see how you fight one on one

The opening is 5 foot by 5 ft (medium sized that how big he was at the time plus he only whacked at it twice), remember the werebear is large now so he is filling the opening and he'll be trying to squeeze on in on his turn.
