David "Dirk" Hawkins |
David watches the marine tumble by him and strikes –
AoO on Marine at B:0 with the added power of Astriana’s inspiring words…
1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 9 + 1 = 15
If it hits –

As the combat starts in earnest he watches one of the marines charge up to Sath.
”Scum! That you’d attack a lady,” he says with a growl.
He switches on Archaeologist’s Luck for the round and takes a swipe at the villain at C:-1 near Sath.
1d20 + 9 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 9 + 1 + 1 = 25
If it hits –
1d6 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 10

Dirks slash misses by the hair of the man's scalp, but his back hand slices inot the the second marine that is battling Sath.

Sath your RD 2 action was acid flash. How are you doing a spontaneous casting for natures ally? Is that a swift action? Your AOO missed and its a single action.

Astrianna Sparacello |
They've certainly had some good luck with their saving throws.
Round 3
Singing at the top of her lungs to cast her voice over the din of battle, Astrianna marvels as a sphere of flame rolls down the sails and mast of the ship.
She slips an arrow from her quiver, knocking it and pulling the string back hard. Pressing her cheek to the fletching, she aims for the marine whose back is to her, fighting the elf. Holding a note of her song for a moment, she looses the arrow- the missle cuts through the light rain towards the soldier.

Round 4
While Astrianna is quite impressed by the elf's mastery of battlefield footwork, she is also quite annoyed he is blocking her shot.
Me lads my ma once said, 'lest ye want to be dead, standin' where arrows fly- gets ye shot in the eye! She sings, knocking another arrow and drawing it back. She shifts her aim towards starboard, firing on the man standing at the gangplank.
Eyes flick upwards towards the burning sails on the opposing ship, then back to the soldiers.

So close.. I don't think that crit connected. Also, I'll be happy to get Rapid Shot next level and get some more arrows flying.
Adriel Mistleaf |
Catching the reference, Adriel remarks while drawing his blade back from the horrible slash at the man's side.
Apologies, Beauty, I was lothe to allow this fool a path to you. He is not worth your attention.
The elf was even cocky enough to spin and bow to her quickly before hopping over a clumsy counter from the man, whose strikes were slowing.
David "Dirk" Hawkins |
Round 3 Action -
I’m sorry, Sath. I was a bit confused is all. No worries.
Seeing that marines are all about him, David realizes that he will be flanked and takes a slice at the marine at B:0.

I was tinkerin with the map and added the main sail as it begins to be hoisted. I also added the forward sail that Adriel has caught on fire. Since the map is 2D you are under the sails not in the sails (as shown)
Sath Saltblood |
As he is bitten again by another blade, Sath decides to get more personal and after summoning an elemental, focuses instead on the attacker in front of him.
Sath attacks the marine at c1, the last to target him...

Astrianna Sparacello |
Round 5
Astrianna finds herself amused at the elf's cockiness, which is clearly backed by skill. He would fit in well in the upper rungs of Taldor society.
She hears the captain clearly, but a quick survey of the battlefield presents no opportunities for her to help with the planks. The half-elf draws another arrow from her quiver, firing on the marine that is heading towards the curious lady who has revealed herself to be another spellcaster of some sort.

Nice maps! I'll be out for a bit- Anna will continue firing her bow and singing. When the reinforcements show themselves, she will cast Silence on square G-4 as the focal point to cripple their casters and cover the other half of the ship with as much Silence as possible.
Embrianna |
Argh! If we weren't aboard our own ship right now, I'd scorch their asses for daring to attack. As it is, I'll just have to settle for sending them to sleep and then dealing with them later.
Embrianna attempts to send yet another marine to sleepytime land.
I suppose there is no way to pretend to be just a normal sailor after this...
Sath Saltblood |
Shouldn't the map reflect the small fire elemental running around trying to play 'tag' with the enemy soldiers? On their ship, that is :)
David "Dirk" Hawkins |
I'm going to hold off on the action surrounding the last white marine since it's Dirk's action in RD 4.
EDIT: This would be my Round 5 action if I'm able to swap 4 and 5 - I just noticed Darius's comment after I posted my attack. Sorry for any confusion - if it can't be switched, just leave this as Round 4 and I'll do something different on Round 5.
Seeing the carnage on the deck, he glances forward and notices that the ladies and the elf are now hard pressed by multiple marines moving to the prow of the ship.
Confident that the company of officers and remainder of the crew have everything in hand on the aft side of the ship, he rushes forward to take action!
As his Move Action David will move to A:2 to flank with Adriel. As part of his Move Action he'll draw his MW dagger.
From A:2 David will stab the marine at B:3 with his rapier (Including Flanking; Luck and Song Bonus at this time -

David "Dirk" Hawkins |
Round 4
Darius pushes forward again, taking a swing at the marine locked in combat with Hawkins. "Hawk, get the plank!"
Round 4
Hearing Darius's voice, David glances at the next plank and steps back to A:0 and casts another Grease Spell on it - Specifically at D:-2.
Crap! I just saw Darius's post earlier - could I just switch my round 4 and Round 5 actions? They still would be the same; just appeared in another order...
If not, I'll have to do something different for my round 5 action. I'm sorry I missed it or I would have done it sooner.
