The Razor Coast has drawn men to madness and slaughter since the world was young. Tulita natives, born from the same fire as this jagged coast, claim the Razor existed long before the world’s other lands. It is a crucible of flame cooled by the ocean’s caress and its mountains, reefs, and lightless depths teem with as many terrors as lustrous spoils. The Razor bucks the trappings of civilization in much the same manner the storm-tossed sea spurns the men who dare mount her. This is no place for the weak-willed. Untested souls are food for its storms, its fickle gods, its ancient spirits, and the evil predations of unfathomable creatures. No less dangerous are the men who make the coast their home and whose dark desires put most horrors to shame.

Dinetta as you slip around the corner you see that the the backside of the warehouse is on stilts and extends over the water. There is one large double door on side of the warehouse and the only windows you notice extend over the water. The warehouse is one where boats moor to the backside to load and unload cargo. The water is too dark to see much.

There is a single guard at the closed double door.


Sorrin, Astri, and Chell for now all you notice are the two dragoons.

Chell kicks a crate as she tries to hide and the notice startles the guards, who quickly notice your group. "STOP! Who goes there."

Chell throws her hands in the air and stands in front her companions hiding places. "Chell Silves. I'm a cleric of Quell." No point in lying, she wasn't good at it anyway. Sparks danced behind her pupils, a gathering storm, in case one of them tried to attack. She wasn't sure who's side they were on.

Dinetta is confused at the strange whispers she is hearing.

Unsure of what is happening, and not wanting to get any farther afield if she is needed by the others, she begins to make her way back, listening at any doors and looking in any windows she can reach.

The bard draws in a deep breath, before slipping out from behind her cover, singing a soft, haunting tune.

The guard with the whistle toots again as the two guards take a defensive posture. Holding to see reaction to command giving to the party. "I said Halt and how many of you are there? Come out...hands up."

Chell's arms droop back to her sides as she turns to Astrianna with a curious look. Honesty wasn't usually her first policy. They'd know if these men were good or bad soon enough.


"Ah, Astrianna Sparacello - Commandant Boneduece's fiddling partner. yes, yes do come forth and show yourself. Skum you say? Where at?" He glances towards the direction Astri points towards.

He and the other two walking the area lower their tridents. The one by the door steps directly in the middle of the closed double doors.

Dinetta the double doors are closed and the skum guard is directly in front of the doors. You really can't get to the doors to press your ear because of the guard's position.

Astrianna relaxes a little. FINALLY someone recognizes me. I've been here two weeks, everyone should know who I am by now. I suppose I have been at sea a while.

The bard waves Sorrin out of his hiding place. "Our fourth is currently scouting the warehouse. Yes, Skum and other creatures. We're here to bargain for ransomed crew. Until he's safe we can't risk Dragoon involvement."

Her eyes turn to the alleyway the Dragoons came down, waiting for the rest of the squad. "Who is your commanding officer?"

The bard waits for the commanding officer to arrive so she can convince the meddling law enforcers to leave.

The bard's anger flares as the corrupt sergeant tells them to surrender. "I'll give you a silver piece if you can name all those "crimes", Darenar. Oh, how insensitive of me, silver coins must make you nervous now. How about I let you kiss my ass instead?"

She replies to Sorrin's message. " Yes, he'll drop it when he's dead."

Quickly, she whispers to Dinetta. "Trouble. Kill the one with the warhammer first if you can, he's a wereshark."

Astrianna begins to weave a dreadful, magical battle-song to sap the dragoons of their courage and speed.

Move action: Begin bardic performance: Dirge of Doom, all enemies within 30 feet are Shaken, no saving throw.

Standard action: Cast Slow on all Dragoons, DC 18 Will saving throw or be Slowed for 9 rounds.

Suddenly realizing that Chell is correct with her analysis versus the sergeant's allegations, the halfling librarian invisibly walks past the sergeant, slashing at him as she does:

The librarian then spins away from the sergeant, leaving a nasty slash in her wake, to join her companions.

--> She moved 10' to get in front of the sergeant, then stabbed him in the gut, then moved 20' to get closer to the rest of the party.

If movement causes any AoO (sergeant does not get any from Spring Attack), AC is 29 (mobility).

When she stops, she looks to the sergeant.
Drop your weapon, and we might heal that cut. Choose not to, and these nice silvery mithral blades of mine are going to really hurt.

Dinetta before you get attacking let me get a map up. You were quite a distance away when you were checking for an door/windows. What is your movement distance? I'll adjust the attached map to reflect the movement.

The Sargeant glares at Chell, "I don't give a hoot about your lousy link...you're a traitor just like your friends." He spits. "NOW!!!!" He commands.

The three skum come running from around the corner, the sound of others coming behind them can be heard. The trap has been sprung!

"He is the traitor. If I was a traitor could I do..." Chell stops short at the sound of heavy, wet footsteps. She moves to the side while taking out her shield to get a better view. Skum. Large, vicious looking fish people were approaching from the same side as Dinetta. If they hit the flank of her and the guards they'd all die. Chell still believed some of these guards were good men. Or at least she hoped.

"I am not this towns enemy. They are," she says pointing at the Skum. From her finger shoots a bolt of ice that appears to be headed for the nearest Skum. It stops short, as if hitting an invisible barrier, and explodes into a violent sleet storm.

Move to V21 for line of sight, draw shield on the way. Standard to cast sleet storm. It will start at S16 and takes up the whole left side of the map. No visibility and Acro DC 10 just to move at half speed. That should slow them down until the Dragoons are dealt with.
