Game Master baldwin the merciful

This is Council of Thieves AP. Westcrown, City of Twilight, once was the center of Aroden's faith, but now it symbolizes despair. By day, the city remains a vibrant center of trade; but, by night only those with a death wish venture out.

Lulz, this guy is cruising for a Cause Social Disease spell

Andrea sneers at the man from underneath her mask that covers the top of her face. Ordinary Adventurers wouldn't dream of stepping on this stage. As my friend here can attest we can offer more than just sword swinging, we can bring art to our roles.

Andrea casts Disguide Self and her form shifts to an exotic Tien duelist.

I am the Everchanging Lady and I can take whatever form is required for the play

Andrea shifts to a stocky old man in a royal robe.

I can stand in on the sidelines as a courtier

Andrea shifts to a scantily clad elven woman with a slender dagger in her hand.

Or a scheming mistress who plots to work her way into power by blade or bed.

Andrea then becomes a bulky orc with an executioner's mask and axe.

I can be the executioner of the traitors.

Andrea shifts back to her original self.

Or whatever I am needed to be.

Andrea slips her arm into the Masked Tweaker's Along with my compatriot the Faceless Thespian, I am sure we can delight the audience.

The run time varies from a few minutes to a couple hours. There is general 5 to 7 minutes between the acts to cast spells, heal up and whatnot. The director tells everyone the day of the show.

You are warned not to cause any harm to the audience, that will be devastating to all involved.

During the rehearsals you ar fitted for costumes. For the final rehearsal and the show you can bring your normal gear and armor, you will need the help he explains. Orsin doesn't talk up the show at all, he'll leave that to the others. The whole spectacle of turning art into bloodsport nauseates him. He instead just falls back on his training, acts like a professional and lets it everything else fall away.

His days in rehearsal go by and it's all very vague and hazy. He knows all his lines, all his blocking, all his cues, but he's learned everything by rote.

The bard has barely paid attention since the audition. He can't stop thinking about what Gregorio must have felt going into the audition for the murder play that ended up killing him. The desperation Gregorio must have felt to land a job, any job, after the world had already taken from him so much.

Orsin wonders if those actors who were turned away ever realized how lucky they were to have been rejected and have their lives spared.

Orsin will also attempt to purchase a (bard's) scroll of heroism, using the majority of his remaining money to do so (200 gp).

Andrea spends most of her time attempting to learn more abut the main theatre where they will be performing. If they have to perform in this bloodsport, she wants every advantage she can. seeking out those who have worked there and attempting to learn about any traps or other hazards installed

She also discusses with the other resistance members if they can get themselves in as extra stagehands, ushers or anything. Having some kind of advance warning about what they will be facing would be invaluable

You can find a "potion of heroism" a second level bard potion is 400GP. The wizard version is 750. Unfortunately, you are having a hard time finding a scroll. You notice when you check around the academies and bard guilds folks are a bit hesitant of dealing with you.

By now there are a few articles in the local paper and tabloids regaridn your last performance.

"This journalist always endeavors to get the inside theater scoop and to bring my readers the crunchy details they expect. I must admit that the recent performance was solid but all joy of the performance was overshadowed and crushed by Orsino Bessatte flippant attitude. Bessatta displayed poor showmanship, when he failed to acknowledge the few fans that he has, certainly his actions are no way to develop a following. My readers demand more. He should seriously consider slithering to the back country he emerged from; Wiscranis's can do better than this one's mediocre talents. In fact, I've never been so humiliated, perhaps his career will flow into the sewers of Westcrown.'

-Flav'r T'Dj'more, Theater Editor

Evil GM

Andrea and Tweaker soon learn that the stage is actually being built by a private group financed by the noble putting the play on. It's pretty hush hush right now. For instance all the director talks abut is the Lazarod during the torture Act, but he is not specific as to what type of device. He simply spins his fingers in circles when describing it.

What you learn about "The Nightshade Theater" is the latest of the Mayor Arvanxi's attempts to bring culture to the city. It is massive, excessive and symbol of misery. From the outside it looks like an iron cathedral to some nameless evil god - inside, the building is plush with rich red velvets and soft lights.

The walls are covered with images of torment and decadence, while the iron chandeliers float from the detailed ceiling. You've learned that the main theater seats 250 souls, all facing the spacious stage. You have learned that the front of the looks complete but the behind the stage areas are still under construction. This project is still several months from actual completion.

Evil GM

The Grotto girls do their part of promoting the show on Lucrezia's behalf. The ticket sales with the nobles serviced are showing a brisk level of purchase.

Tweaker is going to spend time with Millech during the practice and see what he does. He doesn't talk to the director but will talk with Millech and explain what he does for a living and finds the stage interesting as so much can be done and changes all the time. Tweaker asks him if much magic is used or if mostly just moving objects, trap doors and pulleys from the ceiling.

I might have been able to befriend one of the others but sounds like Millech is more my speed. The director for sure isn't my type. Think he already expressed interest in the girls. Good luck there, whoever the lucky one is.
