"Andrea has done much to protect innocent life which is the essence of being good; likewise, Andrea has not advocated the torture of a prisoner to obtain information." Leaving the implication that torture is an evil action hanging.

Janiven seeking to break the attention reports, "Kenji and I went to Henri Stoutpour's tavern and brewery today. We learned from the bartender, who was real hesitant to speak, that Henri hasn't been to work in days and his wife went on an unexpected trip to visit family." Gesturing with her hands, "Seems he recently took in a buiness partner and things have changed a bit at the brewery."

"We decided to come back and regroup before poking around for more information. seems like its time for John to bring his dottari contacts to morgue."

Andrea breathes out with some of the attention and tension moving away from her. I will meet everyone at the morgue after I go to the healer.

If there are no other words directed at her, Andrea heads off to the priest for the Bear's Endurance and Remove Disease. While there, she casts Guidance, Resistance and Moment of Greatness to increase her chances of throwing off the addiction and ravages on her body.(On top of her +5 divine bonus)

Alister McHuffin has the same emotionless look on his face when Andrea arrives. He gestures for the coin to be placed on a silver offering plate, he begins to clearly speak words of priase and guidance seeking Calistria's grace as a warm healing magic flows from his fingers and into Andrea's body.

Andrea's body craves the wicked drug one last time but that temptation is snapped as she becomes free from the cravings.

Duncan watches every step as she leaves the room.
Yeah, ye do that.

As she gets to the door. Duncan calls, Hold there, WASP!, silence ensures at the outbust and Kenji in particular looks ready to pounce.
He stomps over to her and.suddenly the masterwork light mace.is in his hand. He holds his arm up and points it at her, hilt first.
Woulda lost 150 gold on the sale o' this. Ye need a better weapon. Try t'use it when ye ain't busy on yer knees, hurling or otherwise.
He spins before she answers and pauses to glare at everybody while his newly armed ally/enemy can ponder whether or not to brain the dwarf with his back turned. He then walks back to where he was standing beside Ermolos.

I remain quiet taking in the events as they unfold. I watch in silence and Duncan and Andrea have a conflict of beliefs. When they parts ways I look to Janiven. "I neber understood desire to worship gods. Far's I can teru, dey no different dan mortas cept day are more powerfu. In da end eben da gods must bend a knee to de invisibu hands of fate. Dat is da onry tru deity in my rife."

I ponder for a minute. "Peopo present were abu to identify brewers body yesterday. News wud hab reached da tabern by now. Da fact barkeep feign ignorance is suspicious. I tink he hab somesing ta do wit it. Jest a tought."

Andrea takes the masterwork mace and nods. Thank you. She then hurries off to Alister, using the blessings of Calistria to bolster
her endurance. As the healing magic flows through her, she gives a sigh of relief.

Thank you, I will avoid such temptations in the future. If I am able and have the funds, I will return for the Restorations. Andrea takes her leave if there is nothing else and hurry to the morgue.

John and Duncan notice there are quite few Rack squads roaming around the streets. They seem to be eyeballing everyone and one group double takes when they see the armored humand and dwarf walking.

I assume you don't have your tower shield on your back at this time?

Duncan can feel suspicious eyes on him, and there are a few snickers.

You do get to the dottari HQ in aobut 20 minutes, the front desk guard looks up at the John "Can I 'elp ya? Lookin' for employment that's down the hall fifth door down on the left" As he motions towards the hallway.

Shinon in his ultra-secretative fashion will lead Kenji back to the morgue. Thoroughly confusing the Tian. You do see one group of dottari on patrol when you make your way to the morgue.

Andrea's friend, Nathaniel, is working when you arrive. Andrea is not there, yet.

The guard looks up, "Hmpht... They be coming off shift now, I'll send word they have visitors, nearly missed ye down there,' His eyes look down at the top of duncan's head which is basically even with the height the counter.

"Guulf get Maurice, Swift and Kenwick." A thin clerk looks up and leaves the room.

A few minutes later the three come up to the desk, "John, good t'see ya, what brings ye here today?"

"A few things, first I found a group for the goblin issue. I also needed to talk with you about something else though, see yesterday one of my friends got very drunk and ende3d up in the sewer, so we had to follow him down there. while down there we found a body. because it was getting late, we couldn't get the body here, so we dropped it off at a nearby morgue. I was hoping you would come and retrieve the body, as it would also be a good time to meet my group." pointing out Duncan, john continues.
"This is one of them by the way, his name is Duncan."

I editted my last post to say they were getting "off" rather than "on" shift.

"Well..any idea about this dead person's identity as he leads you all to the street and more privacy." He looks around a bit to make sure others did not over hear you. "Need to be careful speaking John, and Ducan, not all ears are friendly."

"Duncan good to meet you,I'm Maurice, this is Swift and Kenswick." Barely breathing between sentences, "how'd the person day?"Looking at you "Drunk and in the sewer?" all three laugh as if they don't believe the statement.

There are three gasp, "Henri? he makes fantastic stout." Swift moans. "Well lets go see him.

Kenswick says, "Does his wife, Francis know yet? She runs the tavern part of the business."

"Nobody has reported him missing," Maurice says. "That wasn't part of any bulletin."

That's why were bringing it t'ye. Don't sound right does it?

Duncan was after a chance to take some heat off the dwarves after the attack on the wagon. He'd left his favored Bastard sword back and Masked Helm at the Chapel and carried the Battleaxe and Warhammer that were so common amongst his race.

The dottari walk with you, nodding to a few civilians on the street they obviously know. They see a rival squad of dottari on a side street which causes them to quicken their pace a bit, so not to be seen. Maurice comments, "That crew is bad news."

Swift's eyes never leave the others squad. Mumbling something offensive under his breath.

Kenwick adds, "Never seen a bribe they did not like."

Beyond nearly crossing paths with rivals, there is nothing unusual in the walk through the streets.

John and Duncan are able to lead the three dottari to the Nathaniel's morgue, one of several morgues in the city.

Shinon and Kenji are there when you arrive. Henri Stoutpour is already on a table for examination.

Andrea arrives whenever she can.

Andrea you arrive shortly after John, duncan and his dottari contacts. Henri is on a table in the cold storage locker when you arrive and Nathaniel is making small talk with Kenji and Shinon.

"Big crowd today, don't get this amount of traffic usually." He smiles at the dottari, "Been busy these days. Some suspicious deaths."

"Sergeant he's not looking good...missing his stomach and most of one side and part of his back...nasty business those giant rot grubs make of their meals."

Andrea waves to the others. Indeed. Far too many to be attributed to
Shadow Beast attacks. I believe there was another death that Shinon told us about that happened a day or so before we located Henri. I believe this makes the third or fourth death we have become aware of. Henri, the merchant Shinon was going to visit, Gissepe, and who owned the ring Shinon found?

Here is the a quick look at the inside of the morgue, the front room with the heavy steel doors leading to the cold storage room. I Put Nathaniel at the door opening it and I placed John's three contacts in the front room. I made it nice and big for Kenji to see better.

Duncan is somewhat surprised to see Andrea showed up. It meant she was either genuine in her conversion OR she was determined to keep up the facade.

"Well, I've seen some strange deaths lately. Some deaths that are made to look like other things." Nathaniel continues, "I mean, the noble Missepe that died, it looked to the casual eyes like a shadow beast killed him, but in reality, he died from a puncture wound then someone used a little healing magic to close the outside wound. The body was left for the shadow beast to feed on on bit."

Shaking his head back and forth, "Weird things happening in the city."

Unfortunatly it seems that Henri's wife is out of the city so we are not able to inform her of his death. Kenji, did you learn where she left to?

"Henri's in the cold room, eh"Maurice asks as he begins to walk towards the door. He continues to move past Duncan and through the doorway. Maurice is the guard in E-2, Swift D-3, Kenswick is G-3. Maurice stops in F3 which is not shown on this map.

There is foul odor coming from the cold storage, that is noticeable as Nathaniel opens the door.

It's actually a Knowledge Religion which encompasses the undead. Sorry about the confusion.

Andrea this is what you see when you get in the cold storage room. Swift is hurt badly and directly in front of you in D3, Maurice is hurt and in F3. The numbering is a bit screwed up, I used two blank room templates and added the furniture but the grid cooridnates are off.

You see two typical burlap cloths that are used to cover the bodies laying on the floor near tables. It looks like the ghoul was feeding on one of the bodies. You assumption is it rose and tossed its cover on the floor. You don't see either dottari moving.

He also activates his JUDGEMENT- (+1 to saves) and readies for the attacks to come.

Simply pushing or pulling hard on the door does not open it. It rattles a bit but doesn't open.

Kenji I need a hex reference that you are moving into.

Duncan you hear Andrea pushing and pulling on the steel door but it is not opening.

Duncan you heard ghoul and you know that their bites carry ghoul fever and can cause temporary paralysis, if you die by a bite you will rise the next night at midnight as a ghoul. You also know their claws damage and paralysis.

John moves in the room, I will assume just inside the doorway and next to Andrea.

Swift - moved into the room when he heard the cry from Maurice. Hit twice by claws for 12 points of damage. Paralyzed.
Ghoul - clawed Swift twice for 12 HP, paralyzed him.
Shinon - defensive ranged position with bow.
Kenswick - defensive ranged position with bow.
Andrea - moved into room D 2, yelled ghoul, tried unsuccessfully to open other door.
