Orsino 'Orsin' Bessatte |
Orsin enters The Mermaid's Grotto in the late afternoon, welcomed by the inviting smells of freshly cooked foods and perfumed beauties. He sees almost everybody eating with a few unfamiliar faces. Clutching a Pathfinder Chronicle in his hand, the bard approaches the table, looking somewhat puzzled.
"Why hello...everybody?"
He blinks at the strangers.
Orn Broken-Tusk |
Sunny is the only one not at the table, she is still at the bar or she may have gone for a bath.
Orn looks up and nods, "Got to work"his large hand on Lucrezia's shoulder, "You sit here!" he points from Orsin to his empty chair. He gives a side glance at the crafty card player.
Orsino 'Orsin' Bessatte |
Orsin jumps a little at the half-orc's imperative.
"Uh, yes, thank you," he replies to both Orn and Andrea's offers. His thoughts insidiously revisit the Libra Malfactum as he settles into his seat, before he shakes them off.
Lucrezia Villanova |
"Just holler if'n you need any help." Dealing with rowdy drunks will seem like a vacation from the s*~* I've been dealing with lately.
"Orsin, you look like you good use a drink and decent meal too."
Faelyn Sindrel |
Faelyn thinks about winking at the half orc, but feels a pinch from Rakka on his neck and decides it is not a good idea. Orsin? I am Faelyn.
He nochalantly flips another card from the deck. The Theatre... Thinks for a minute. Puppet of the Gods.
Andrea1 |
Sunny is dependable, she shows up in her Skull and Shackles game regularly.
So Orsin, have you recovered from the gorging, drinking and running and screaming of the last week? I must say the the beauty shop is going to be giving us a special rate from all the buisness we will be giving them.
Andrea finishes off her stew and washe sit down with the last of her ale before getting a refill. I'd rather fight a Shadowbeast than go through another Six Fold trial.
Lucrezia Villanova |
"I still feel like I need a full body scrub after all the crap we've waded through. Both figuratively and literally."
Orsino 'Orsin' Bessatte |
"Week...was...not good..." Orsin sputters as he recalls the agonies, vomiting, more agonies, and more vomiting that constituted the last 48 hours. He takes a deep breath before downing his ale in one swig.
"Faelyn, a pleasure," he replies. The diva offers a surprisingly firm handshake.
baldwin the merciful |
I know she is dependable, I've read some of her posts in other games. I was only commenting on her not being at the table quite yet. Nobody's invited her either.
---
A customer comes over, "Lazarod you were fantastic" a well wisher states, "can I have your autograph?'
Orsino 'Orsin' Bessatte |
"Of course, of course," Orsin replies, smiling with convincing artifice.
"To whom shall I make it out to?" he asks.
Perception (does this person seem suspicious at all?): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Lucrezia Villanova |
"Have your toenails started growing back yet? My own feet still look a mess. Good thing that sandals aren't in fashion right now."
Faelyn Sindrel |
When Andrea mentions the Six Fold Trial, Faelyn's interest is perked. Wait a minute. Are you the actors who recently survived the play? Obviously interested now. Do tell.
Now the cards make sense. The Owl, The Keep, and The Theatre.
Andrea1 |
Why yes, by the skin of our teeth actually. A gala of terror that had the nobility on their feet chanting for blood. Really, they were. Andrea shudders and sighs. Some of our fellow 'actors' are out at the momment with other concerns right now. Frankly I think the city would be better off without that theatre.
Andrea1 |
Andrea rolls her eyes at how the man isn't even trying. Well one does not tend to care about such things when they come to this place.
Andrea smiles at Tracy and lightly pats her bottom. Hey there girl, have a drink with us for now. have you had dinner? Andrea isn't really flirting/soliciting, just having a friendly banter.
Andrea1 |
Andrea has a rather displeased look on her face. You really deserve better girl, if I ever get the chance I'll open up a proper brothel where you would be an employee, not a slave.
Andrea shifts her face back to a somewhat happy version. Well I'm sure you will have a good evening, maybe Fiosa and I will keep you warm tonight. Andrea giggles and meeps as Fiosa lightly bops her.
Can't take you anywhere. Andrea's lover huffs.
Faelyn Sindrel |
Faelyn stands and slides another chair over to the table for the brown eyed beauty. Yes. I play some cards. After Tracy declines the offer, he kicks the chair away and it slides back to it's previous table. Not enough whorin? What is wrong with these guys? He takes a longer look at Tracy's curves. Easy Faelyn. That is trouble.
Andrea1 |
That is what I should do, The Nightblooming Garden; Temple and brothel, although I would hate to edge out Alistar, perhaps if we merge. The loan would be immense but I would get every girl out of here and drive that (censored) out of buisness. About time new faiths got into this city since the Asmodeus one doens't give two coppers about the city that is supposed to be theirs.
Andrea nibbles on a bread crust as she ponders the possibilities..
.Sunny. |
Sunny continues to lean against the bar. Sipping at the drink offered by one of the other staff since the bar-keep sees to have scampered off with some blow in. As said lumbering Half-Orc takes up residence at one of the gambling tables and a clot of folks begins to develop around him Sunny does little more than raise her tankard up with both hands gently sipping at its contents. The tip of her pink tongue darting out to clean her lips. She looks over a shoulder at this new presented barmaid,
"Here...now I've got a room, where be it fer a bod t'bathe?" She whispers.
(^_^) Well...folks are ignoring me and sleep some times is a good thing to be getting for a real person.:P
Faelyn Sindrel |
Sorry sunny. I didn't realize you were around.
Faelyn senses something and flips yet another card. The cricket? He looks at Tracy, but something deep inside says no. He looks around and sees the elven lady at the bar. He motions Sunny to the table.
.Sunny. |
Sorry sunny. I didn't realize you were around.
Oh aye. That be how I spend most o' me adventures. Proppin' up a bar. :P
Sunny continues to eye both the bouncer, who's demeanor does nothing to faze the tanned Elf's bright mood, and the largest group of people. At the lass' words Sunny giggles, the bright sound carrying.
"Here, if'n I wanted t'be that sticky." She looks said waitress openly up and down "Well..then I'd be inquirin' as t'other peoples company, wouldn't I?" She asks and Sunny's face is a composure of innocence. (^_^)
I can see different time zones being a tad of an issue. Will try and adjust mine 'down' a few hours to compensate.
Orsino 'Orsin' Bessatte |
"Andrea, by the way," Orsin whispers, "I hope you don't mind, but I'll need to hold on to the books for a little longer than I thought. The Osirion Journey Book is actually written in some old form of the Osirion language. I should be finished with them all in a week or so. It's a fascinating read though."
.Sunny. |
Sunny turns to this second person who's materialized before her with large blue eyes alight,
"Well I jus' come in here fer th' wages of a bet." And Sunny's eyes again look about the place. "But since I can see I done lost that one then, aye, all'a whut ye said be on'a cards." (^_^)
Andrea1 |
Andrea, by the way," Orsin whispers, "I hope you don't mind, but I'll need to hold on to the books for a little longer than I thought. The Osirion Journey Book is actually written in some old form of the Osirion language. I should be finished with them all in a week or so. It's a fascinating read though."
That would be fine, I'm sure we can get good use out of them that that, both knowledgewise and moneywise.
I forsee Sunny utterly confusing everyone once againw ith her Sunny nature. :)
.Sunny. |
Sunny giggles again, though doesn't pull away.
"Aye an' that do sound quite th' ticket." She agrees. "So, whut about t'other things ye said? about teh bathin' and teh workin'?" She sips again at her drink, again the tip of her tongue cleaning her lips.
Faelyn Sindrel |
Nope, but seems like an interesting lass. She reminds me of the grig. I was hoping to get this brown eyed beauty some business. I think she is going to bite after all.
Turns to Orsin What is the chance I could take a look at the books when you are finished? Could you bring them by the shop? If you need help translating them, I might can be of assistance.
.Sunny. |
Sunny smiles, obviously liking the friendly atmosphere developing.
"Oh, I know me way around a ship." And her eyes again glance about the place, "But that in't here. I know I be better at doin' that big lug's job, fer sure t'is t'be sure." And Sunny openly eyes the Half-Orc. Not a trace of worry, nor care in the sun-bronzed Elf's tone. A subtle frown develops on Sunnys' features.
"Here? Whut be ye meanin' with that 'Alphonse' bit o' speakin'?"
Orsino 'Orsin' Bessatte |
"I've only just begun a cursory inspection," Orsin begins, "But yes, we were thinking to sell the books to Talbard after I finished with them. And you're very kind, but I've got it handled. Nothing that a few minor spells can't overcome."
