Sorry for not posting much, I fell ill yesterday and have been struggling with fatigue and sleeping a lot. My character is not updated because I have not had access to my PC for some time and I cannot update from my phone. I will try to update my profile later tonight but I can post in the IC thread in about an hour to hour and half. There is a lot of reading I need to do to catch up.

Can someone give me a summery of whats going on and where I am? That'd save me some time. 20 something posts is a lot to read.

Some details..

We decided to ambush. Duncan and John are on the west side behind some trees/bushes and John/Andrea on the east side hiding as well(John posted a map link so you can see the battle map and check where everyone is and where you want your token to be placed).
We put some wooden caltrops(Something we need to start carrying along with a hand axe) on the west side of the bridge to hinder any horses trying to go through. I believe the plan is to wait until the caravan gets to the middle of the bridge and then pincer attack.

12 guards visable on the outside.

3 Guards in front of the prison wagon on horses
2 guards riding along the sides of the wagon
2 guards on top of wagon with balista
3 Guards behind
2 drivers

Where's the map link? Put me somewhere behind so I can attack from the rear. I have a +7 to stealth if need be. That'll do for now. I will make sure to post when my turn is up but until I get a good night sleep tonight, I won't be very active today. Too dang tired and the migraine makes information hard to process.

John posted the marked up map: Gamethread, pg 15, 6th from the bottom.

Sorry you are sick. We are entering combat. I did asked John to post you south of the road but ont he east side of the river. In a copse of trees with the npc, Rizzardo. Rizzardo's job was to stop fleeing guard to the south of the roadway.

It is your turn in the surprise round I will have you hold your action.

I'm going to update my profile before I go to bed tonight. I am likely to sleep in for quite some time tomorrow. So presume the following actions out of me and NPC me where they fit.
Actions I am likely to take:

1. Move and attack closest foe.
2. Where I can get it, Flurry of Blows, I am at a +4 to hit with each attack.
3. I my health is dropped by half, I make a withdraw action followed by a potion. I have four potions and 17 HP
4. If Charge or flank is ever an option, I take it.
5. If Janiven is ever dropped or close to it and I am able, I will move to her aid.
That is all.

So if you need to NPC me those are the actions I'm like to take.
If it is communicated to me in game, I would abide by another character's tactical requests.

Hope that helps to keep the game moving while I'm unconscious. Thanks. Like I said I will update my profile in a bit before bed.

I have updated my profile and am heading to bed. Feeling the way I do I likely won't wake up for around twice the usual recommended hours of sleep.

Fight sounds bad. Try not to get Kenji killed and he does not often worry about provoking attacks of opportunity as he has Mobility and that adds a +4 to his AC when he provokes due to movement.

Ya know, this game has actually inspired me to write up a story based reason for getting a raise/ressurection if/when things go pear shaped. A little quick-fic that hopefully I won't need to pull out, but one never knows.

Excellent map John. Just so everyone know there is another guard on the map at Z105. So there are guards at Y105 and Z105. Everyone should have an idea of the scene.

Since Janiven is a the end of the I will ahve some of her NPC crew go on her turn too rahter than roll in separate initiatives.

Also, I have busy morning outside of the office and away from the computer, so I won't be on until around noonish EDT.

Has the overall pace been ok with everyone? I Kenji games on Sunday's, so I did slow it down a touch. I understand Duncan's across the globe too.

Overall, the activity level on this thread has been impressive, I'm sure we will hit 800 posts in two weeks. Just don't want the game to fizzle out.

Kenji you were cursed by the bad initiative Gods this entire campaign, so far. It seems as if you are usually towards the end of round.

Bit of a conundrum I am in. I am thinking of Andrea noticing one of the downed Armingers is clinging to life and finishing him off with Bleeding Touch.. Hmm...Woudld that be perfectly in character do you think for her?

Andrea - I just noticed that you did not put the value on shell, signet rings or copper Ram head coins. I did provide the valuations when the group was in the safehouse. I think both Msw longswords were claimed: John and Shinon, possibly.

Everyone received 1200XP for the rescue encounter. Everyone's total XP now is 3200. Duncan I saw yours was list at 3500, can your adjust that.

Not bad considering that encounter was designed to split the armigers into two separate groups which would have been a much lower CR. However the group was not split and it made the CR encounter significantly higher.

Andrea - One of the Armiger's is wounded severely but not dead. I will let you and the player's RP that out and their reactions.

I don't see any reason why I can't keep this pace up at least in the immediate future. I have a family vacation in July, we should be well into the second AP book by then. Work does on occassion keep me from posting but there will be plenty of notice.

Lol! I love Shinon's reaction. Priceless. Roughly translated Kenji was trying to say he trusts John, Janiven, and even Arael to help him keep an eye on the rookies. He did wish Shinon luck and safety but Kenji is better at understanding common, not speaking it. Shinon's interpretation is perfect. This foreigner thing is real easy to play out with desirable results. Still, I wonder why Janiven likes Kenji....or if she even really does at all. Maybe she's just playing with his head. Can't wait to see how that turns out. Lol.

Shinon, is Janiven messing with your emotions as much as she is messing with Kenji's? I get the hint you gotta a thing for her.

Well, Andrea isn't to much into that, but she might be able to ring up a Zon-Kuthon for advice. She'll do her best though. Don't worry, she never bites hard enough to inflict HP damage(Just 1d6 to your dignity.)

I was thinking more along the lines of the bleeding touch. Consulting with Z-K is funny.
