This is Council of Thieves AP. Westcrown, City of Twilight, once was the center of Aroden's faith, but now it symbolizes despair. By day, the city remains a vibrant center of trade; but, by night only those with a death wish venture out.
The site is super slow on posting and reloading for me tonight (its been slow for about a week now, I've noticed.) I'm going to log off for the night. Duncan enjoy the museum...I enjoy taking my family to many museums in our city.

Sure, after the beating our feet take, a little time at the salon is a must. That acid bath during the play did us no favors.
Really. Can you imagine how we looked at the end? Covered with blood(ours and others), devil ichor, acid burns, fire burns(exploding skeletons) whip lashes and such? Yesh.
Andrea does want to burn that theatre down. Summoned elementals!

Turning seems to be not really worth it in Pathfinder. In classic D&D, you could send some packing and eventually get to the iconic 'Make em explode' level. Pathfinder has it tied to Charisma and the creatures get turn resistance on top of their save to not flee. Seems it would be better to just go for straight damage or just heal your party.(Unless you take the Glory/Sun domains)

Ok game plan. Since Orsin is down for 4, I plan on using a Cure Paralysis on him since we can't afford to have anyone down. If John steps up, he can slice at another ghoul that is near Andrea.

Hmm.. Andrea might splash a ghoul with holy water since touch attack of 2d4 would be good for finishing off weakened ones. I am in a bad location to try to cast the Remove Paralysis since DC19 for the scroll is not good for Casting Defensivly
I could go full defense and try to move back so John could get in an attack the ghouls(Switch places) or burn my last channel to damage all the undead.

As I remember..we did tie a rope to Duncan in case we slipped. John also has one end.
So, If Lucrezia can rapid shot the Ghast(and not get paralyzed) to death, John can pull up Duncan.
For story purposes(and we will pretty much need to abort the mission) if Duncan dies, Andrea will leave the group since she is unwilling to be the next on the chopping block.(As I have indicated, she has begun to really dislike Areal and his 'crusade') she'll take Emily out of Westcrown. I will create a replacement, a dwarven cleric who focuses on channel smiting.

A character death is one thing but I'm not real keen on the idea of whole new group of characters for the story to continue, I would probably shut it down, run something else. The feel for the back-story would be gone.

edit: well I guess that would be rather drastic, I was just thinking of how Andrea would feel on the matter. I suppose we could get Duncan to Alistar for a raise.
I guess I will have Andrea stay even if there is a death, she can try for another loan or we could blackmail the Mayor or even do another Six-Fold trial *eek*

Even if the worst happened, Andrea can't give up. She should use the pain of Duncan's loss to drive her. After all, isn't one of Calistra's domain's Vengeance?

Just to throw this up for discussion since I do have a question about it, how would Andrea leaving make you want to stop the game? Andrea's story arc is pretty much done anyways(The whole goddess thing) so if she packed up and another character came in, it wouldn't be, IMO that big a disruption. The replacement character I had thought of is a friend of Areal's(battle focused cleric) who is a late arrival since he wasn't able to respond to Areal's letter soon enough due to other events.
Andrea will still be here, but I just wanted to talk about it.
If we do need to raise Duncan, the noble Oibengo(sp) who wanted information on the Knot said he would pay use 200o gp for the info. If we tell him about the interior and say we disabled protections he might kick in more gold.

Plus there is the noble house that Shinon hangs with. They seemed to like us. I would certainly like to continue but am happy to role a new guy IF Duncan dies.
I would love for the game to continue but hope if you decide to shut it down that we may be invited to your new one. This group is the only one I have that maintains such a high post rate for so long.
If you did play another game any AP bar second Darkness, Crimson throne, or Runelords would be my preference since I currently play in those. (Not that it matters, I would apply anyway if you are DMing it.)
There has been alot of detailed background with most characters to just stop and flip to another character seems pointless, certainly the backdrop would be missing. Your only fourth level lots of time to tweak your character.
Obviously if a character dies the PLayer can roll up a new character.
