This is Council of Thieves AP. Westcrown, City of Twilight, once was the center of Aroden's faith, but now it symbolizes despair. By day, the city remains a vibrant center of trade; but, by night only those with a death wish venture out.

Um.....56 post!?!? Good gods people! I don't have time to read all that and post before you all post more. Um...I dunno what too do? Can someone help me I'm gonna fall sorely behind at this rate. I'm going to bed now and I will not be able to post until I finish reading 56+whatever you guys post tomorrow post. Is it too much to ask for you to slow down a tad so I can get caught up. Geez it has only been 8 hours since I last checked is this really how this is going to be?

Sorry. I guess I'm getting carried away. A number of PbP things I have been involved in have dried up and I want to keep everyone involved.
Right now you just need to get across the board. Perhaps put down some rolls for acrobatics, fort save and climb if you fall in.

Um....what board? What are we doing?.....where are we? Whats with the coments about poo. What about the door? Have we reached the safe house yet? There is too much too read can someone please summarize to save me the time to sort through all those posts? If I get some basic info I can post roleplay proper. I want to roleplay, my guy isn't dumb and he's not going to play dumb, he's just foreign with a broken accent.

Ok.

We checked out the door and found it to be a small storeroom with some jars of dirt and some rings in the corner. Rings have been taken and we continued on.

We noticed some abandoned goblin gear and tracks and came to a board across the sewer that we needed to cross to continue along the walkway. Shinon and Joe fell into the sewer and get very filthy. They eventually got out and we have a rope stretched across to help people cross. Kenji is the only one that needs to cross the board with an acrobatics check(+2 for the rope)

We are still trying to find the safehouse, I suspect that we will run into a few more encounters before that happens. The Hellknights are still behind us.

We've moved 90 feet and are now trying to cross a river of sewage. You need to make an Acrobatics check to either walk across a thin plank or to jump across. If you fail, you'll fall into the sewage and will be required to make a Fortitude save or contract Filth Fever. Everyone but you has made it across.

That was a pretty fast paced Rd 2 of action, it looked pretty darn smooth from my end given the complexities of playing by post. How does it look on your end?

Are the recaps working well for everyone?

By the way, if I misread or misinterpret a rule just tell me. A page reference is always appreciated. No hard feelings here.

John, I don't think anyone has ever used a Tower Shield in a game that I've run. I had to read the rule again.

Since we have distance, we should take the oppurtunity to ping them some with arrow and bolts, maybe kick a board away so they can't cross to us?

I don't know if that's such a good idea... But the archery thing is spot on. Let's pile the ranged damage on while we can.

Haha. Interesting. Well then...combat time! Speaking of which, I approve of Surround and Pound, though I'm afraid melee isn't my strong suit. But I will gladly surround from 10 feet away.

I'm sorry, I'm genuinely confused by this statement. Janiven is certainly capable of flirting with any of us (including Andrea) as much as she wants. What do you mean by "how much"?

Jasmine is my character in a Shackles game. Fem, Elf, LE, wizard air elemental school that I actually used valuable BP's on for her Charisma, rather than buffing another score. She is quite manipulative. She is, also, my default Avatar hence the reason she makes some appearances.

Baldwin is fine.

Shinon, I thought you may have forgotten about those potions. Since you did not take one. I shot at another character rather the shot at you, no need to kill anyone - yet. Although it would have provided you an opportuntiy to play that magus.

XP total recap for anyone who may have missed the postings:

400 - Tavern events (listed on pg 2 of gameplay thread)
120 - Sewer goblin Ambush (pg 4)
230 - goblin lair (pg 7)

750 Total.

If you haven't figured it out yet, the intent is you emerge as 2nd level characters. There will be an award for running the sewer guantlet too.

Well, I'm hoping to get to play my magus in a Kingmaker PBP I have applied for here. I just can't get over how epic the intelligent weapon as a class feature is.

Now, we level up when we hit 1000 XP, right? I'm only asking because the myth-weavers sheet program I'm using auto-generated 2000 as the amount of XP my character would need to level up and I don't have a CRB.

Although I have to say, after that description, I'm very pleased that the dice were with me and allowed me to one-shot the guy that attacked Shinon. Felt really good.

Okay. Wow, so we're going to get another 1250 before we get out of these sewers, huh? Well, that's going to be unpleasant. Poor Shinon will fight tooth and nail to get out as quickly as possible so he can take a shower. (Probably several hours long).

Just so you guys know, I'm a roleplayer not a metagamer. If you guys want to do tactics, you need to convey that message to Kenji in game and in character. That is just how I play. Sorry if it makes the game annoying for anyone else.

Currently you are in a heavy encounter with the reinforcements, so it will give you XP. You do have healing potions. By the time the group emerges from the sewers they will need a serious rest and should have used up most of their expendable gear and spells.

Overall, in game time this entire event takes roughly 2 hours to complete. If it goes longer than 2 hours - well, then it will be night time and bad bad things roam the streets at night in Westcrown. A party that is resourced drained by nightfall could get very ugly...fun (for the DM at least)...but ugly.

No problem. I'll keep that in mind. Shinon isn't exactly a tactician, so it won't come up that often, but when it does, it'll be in character.
