Decided not to get the manacles and got an Alchemical Silver Battle axe instead.
Everyone else, remember Cesti are awesome. You wear them on the hand so a mere 5gp will get you a backup weapon which can't be disarmed, is always ready to use, has a good critical range and does 2 types of damage.
10gp for a cold iron one (demons/fey)
25gp for an alchemical silver one (lycanthropes)

Alchemical silver also helps deal with vampires and devils, and as this town is a devil-worshipping place, I expect we might run into a few at higher levels...

May I suggest when you get the money that you also try and scribe a scroll of restoration or three? That spell in particular is one I'm never comfortable without past level 4 or so.

By "jester", I assume you mean some kind of bard? A ratfolk bard? After playing something as straightforward as a human cleric, it's surprising to see you jump to something so atypical. Hmmm...so if this works out, Orsino may be able to calm Shinon's ire after all. A couple of free VIP tickets and he's bought Shinon a second date, in an appropriate setting, and Shinon would completely forgive him. Then they can start fresh, and become best friends, as Shinon will appreciate the Inspire Courage bonuses and Orsino will be happy to have someone with higher than 20' move speed to deliver healing potions to him if necessary.
I just realized that, too. Until 7th level, when John gets Armor Training 2, Orsino and I are the only ones with 30' speed.

So Fiosa's going to join the battlefield, is she? Well, a second cleric would help the party quite a bit, especially if this cleric has Selective Channel. You know, so she can do the nova-healing thing, that one class feature clerics have that Andrea never seems to get a chance to use?

Andrea can nova heal now, but she has to position herself way back so she doesn't heal the enemy(or make a calculated risk)
Fiosa I can see as a secondary healer-potion/wand user(Baldwin has his own ideas of course) I don't want to over use her so we can have our chances to shine. Plus she has her own motives and might not be available. I am guessing that we can't always call on the npcs to join up with us( plus it can be very awkward in areas like the sewers, imagine 7 barfing characters)
I did like Ermolos accompaning Duncan, it shows another side to the mento system that is going on.
edit: Reminded of something we can do with Orsin,Andrea and maybe Shinon if he can use spells: the 'cleric on a stick' a wand of CLW is very useful for dining characters who are dangerously low on HP or in the negs. 1d8+1 is small but can keep someone up long enough for a bigger heal/reposition

Shinon can use spells, starting next level, yes. The cure light wounds spell is on the ranger spell list, however, holding a wand is a problem for Shinon in battle as he wields a two-handed weapon.

So I was thinking about, if Chelsi joined the group, what class she would be, and I realized that she actually strikes me as a barbarian. This chaotic woman who is both aggressive and dangerous, and would rather walk around without her guard. Definitely seems barbarian to me. Though I guess her lack of experience would end up with her as a rogue or something.

Well, of course, that last statement goes without saying. Even if she was a fighter wearing adamantine full plate and carrying a tower shield, Shinon wouldn't want her in direct harm.
Too bad about the rogue part though. I was hoping Chelsi would be able to stand on her own two feet and throw her weight around in battle, bragging about how she didn't need any bodyguards.
Guess that goes to show how bad my ability to guess classes based on personalities is, though. I thought Janiven was a rogue when we met her.
She is actually fleshed out as an NPC designed to provide guidance, diriection and to share information with. She is pretty high level in expert classification. She is not really designed to get in the mix of battle.
