That was pretty intense for running on PbP. Keeping things organized is so important for flow on PbP. The combined effect of the waves of combat made this an epic encounter for the group, making you all use much of your expendable resources. It certainly was fun to run and the ebbs and flow of the battle was interesting.
Duncan can go back and tell Gruum they weren't just goblins. He should have a healthier respect for the creatures.
Remember we are changing the tracking of XP. Rather than give XP after each event, I will keep try and advise when it is leveling time.

Everyone but Andrea was injured significantly during the battle(s). When Orsin stepped back to heal himself, I tied to get to Andrea but her charm spell blocked that attempt. From the GM standpoint everyone was able to showcase their particular combat skill. Inclusion for everyone is hard when there are 7 characters, 5 PCs and 2 NPCs.

I agree, I think we all played our roles quite well. Of course, with an expertly GM'd encounter like this one, things like that tend to fall into place. It's as much a victory for Baldwin as it is for us, I'd like to think. Really, REALLY awesome encounter!

Agreed x3.
I know there's an agile weapon enchantment that lets you add your Dex mod to damage rather than your Strength mod, but can you put it on a bow? And if not, then Baldwin, would you allow me to get one if I put it on a composite bow and used the same rules for adding Strength, only replacing it with my Dex?

It's the Agile weapon enchantment. Looking at it now, I realize it is melee-only, so my request stands about whether I can use it for a bow or not, since it's really quite hard to deal damage as an archer.

Deadly Aim.+Rapid shot+Manyshot =Shinon kicks ass.
I have played an Archer ranger before. Read Laslolth's guide to Archery rangers, in the advice section. You will be PWNing most encounters by level 6.
Deadly Aim and Rapid Shot? That's a -4 penalty to all of my attack rolls for one round. At level 6, that ends up with me attacking at +2/+2/-3. I'm not sure that's such a good idea, I probably wouldn't hit anything.

I'm going to say no to the Agile weapon enhancement. As noted it's for melee weapon. There are plenty of solid make ups for multiple accurate arrows. Duncan's path, along with composite bow, plus magical makes a nice touch.
Composite bow doesn't help a guy with 10 Str. As for "accurate", I still have problems hitting, so taking penalties in order to deal additional damage isn't the most reliable method of increasing my damage output, but whatever, I'll figure something out.

Read the guide. Adding FE, High dex, party buffs, Human Bane Bow etc. You can get your attack high enough.
Later when you pick up Improved Snap shot and can AOO and threaten with a bow, it's awesome.

There will be plenty of time to gain wealth to improve stats a 10 Str can easily be moved up in the mid rounds.

Shinon, here is the guide.
http://paizo.com/forums/dmtz51bl?Lastoths-Guide-to-Archery-Rangers
Might pay to ask for a stat reallocation at next level
Take Int14 down to 12,
Then up STR to 12(pump to 13 at 4th)
This will allow you to take Power attack and get an agile Longsword.(If you want to switch hit)
And you can use composite bows.
Also get a Cestus, that means you are always armed and can threaten adjacent squares.

The agile weapon enchantment only works on finessable melee weapons if the wielder possesses the Weapon Finesse feat. Not a feasible investment on my part.
Taking my Intelligence score down would require me to remove ranks in skills that I have had up until this point, that's not really a good idea (and if I were a DM, I wouldn't allow it anyway).
I'm not going to spend a feat on Power Attack and I'm certainly going to avoid melee as much as possible, since my AC is so terrible. Switch-hitting is not a good idea for someone with 12 Con and leather armor.
What's a cestus?
Anyway, I already read the guide, doesn't seem like it's going to apply to me too well. Without stat reallocation (which I wouldn't ask Baldwin to let me do), my Strength score will never be high enough to really matter, composite bow or not. The Council of Thieves AP ends at level 13, so I could only invest in my Strength score 3 times, and each time that would be sacrificing Dexterity for it, trading accuracy, initiative, skill boosts, and Reflex saves for damage. I've already spent my 3rd level feat on Alertness, and I'm down a feat anyway for not being human, so I don't have the feats to spare to switch-hit.
I'm not going to be getting an animal companion, so I can't mounted archer or trample/overrun or anything like that (which is fine, I don't have any ranks in the Ride skill anyway).
So in the end, I can potentially just try and Deadly Aim/Rapid Shot (starting at 6th level) with a +1 human bane longbow for 1d8+6, or 1d8+2d6+12 against humans, half-elves and half-orcs.
I don't have the Magical Knack trait, so my caster level is not going to be good until level 8 or so. Hunter's Howl only lasts 1 round per level, so it's pretty useless to me at first. Gravity Bow will help me deal some damage if I have the standard action to cast it available.
I can try, but I'm not going to end up dealing much damage against non-humans, and certainly not against the undead we're bound to face.

Andrea yes the high quality long sword was the magical one.
Orsin:
As GM I really don't get involved in the loot division. This group has been good at it so far. Andrea keeps track and divides it out. I will like I did with the merchant, on occassion claim some items for an NPC. Like Maurice said don't worry about cutting him in on selling the gear that so the group gets the loot. He asked for some coin, as any hireling would but it really is for the party's benefit to pay down the debt they owe.
I have lots stuff on my plate, so I don't worry about the selling of basic gear and some common magical items...standard rates form the book apply. I will, it hasn't really happened yet, get involved in negotiating or bartering price on a few higher end items. But I will tell you all about those items.
As far as purchasing gear, I do roleplay that out a bit. This thread moves fast enough that we can do that. I don't worry about common routine stuff but I do when buying magic gear. This is a massive city of over 100K people, so most things can be found, but I like playing the NPC role for depth.
By the way, now that you've been with the group through a major event you can see the pace it runs. This has been pretty consistent 40 to 50 posts a day. If it becomes overwehelming tell me, I will slow it down a touch.

Okay, take that feat that lets you shoot while threatened (Close Combat Shot?)
Point Blank Mastery. It's probably going to take a while, unfortunately. You need Weapon Focus in the bow of your choice before you can take it, and I have to use my next two feats to get Deadly Aim and Rapid Shot. I can spend my 7th level feat on Weapon Focus and have Point Blank Mastery at 9th, but that will mean I won't get Manyshot until 10th. So...I dunno.

Oh, HELL no.
This is a perfect tempo. I know I log in later in the day compared to the rest of the group, but I'm invested til bed time. I'm planning to start DMing a tabletop game in a couple weeks so my Wednesday nights may become a little spotty.
But yeah, no, the pace is wonderful. I feel really engaged in this game!

I will say...I don't mind awesome well thought out builds. However, you don't have to maximize everything. As the GM, I don't try to screw a PC for way the build is. I like RP as much if not more than the build.
You all will get coin and goods that will help your character's build and to overcome some of the deficiencies.
Heck, I built a Wizard, air elemental specialist in another campaign that I blew several BP on Charisma for the RP aspect.
