This is Council of Thieves AP. Westcrown, City of Twilight, once was the center of Aroden's faith, but now it symbolizes despair. By day, the city remains a vibrant center of trade; but, by night only those with a death wish venture out.

Hmm.. Goblin archers or troblins as main targets? Troblins hit harder and are in our faces right now. I suggest Orsin switch out due to that hit he took and Maurice,Shinon and Ermolos team up on that Troblin. Troblins look to be excellent tanks and clearing them out helps keep us from being nickel and dimed by the archers.

I though Andrea as a whole offended Duncan's sensibilities. Also I did set up a rise of the runelords recruitment thread so if any one is interested, go check it out. I also kind of stole Baldwin's fumble rules.
There was a barbarian in one of my long running 3.5 games that dropped a weapon routinely...it was excepted. He never grumbled, simply drew anohter weapon.

I checked it out, you will get a lot applications. I'll get something up tomorrow...perhaps a cleric or rogue.
Edit: Can I play a troblin? Ha...I know you are enjoying the deformed in this game.

You make some incredible soul searching changes in your life and strive to start living better and even the grumpy dwarf will change his mind, but screw one ghoul and they'll never let you live it down. ;)
I wonder if Bluff/Diplomacy can help pantomine. Such as 'Go away' 'Hit that one'
Edit: Ok, will keep that in mind. I doubt this will last long before the Troblin wants more but we can play it by ear.

Jon posted his RotRL Anniversary recruitment? NeoSeraphi away! Hopefully my performance in this game has been good enough to convince Jon that I deserve a spot. I had to drop every other game I was in besides this one because of my computer issues, but now that they're finally solved I could stand to be in another game...
Speaking of which, I've finally finished the back-logging on all of my systems so I should be up to my standard 3-6 posts per day by tomorrow afternoon. Shinon's back with a vengeance!

With 20 points of piercing damage to that troblin's face, I'm pretty sure Jon is going to be able to bring it down with one swing. So hopefully I helped.
Edit: Holy crap, we have done something to please the Paizo Dice Gods! Quick! Everyone roll impossible checks before midnight tonight, they'll all be natural 20s!

Same. To be honest, I was ready to post four hours ago, but Paizo just wouldn't come up.
On a livelier note, as soon as I finish typing up Emil's backstory I plan to read yours, Baldwin. I can't wait to see what kind of character you thought up.
I'm about to play an Aasimar oracle myself in a tabletop game (eventually. We need more people).

I've never played an Aasimar before but the race is perfect for a cleric. I like her build.

Yeah, she looks pretty cool. You're missing a language though. Aasimar begin play speaking Common and Celestial, and then you have an Int of 12, so you get one bonus language.
Thanks Shinon, that was my first time using Hero Lab and I must have missed the language. I fixed it adding Elven. Speaking of Hero Lab it pretty convenient but now I'm having a technical issue with their license server. Their support seems a bit slow...they replied it will take 2-3 days to respond. I initially bought the core along wtih the APG material but was looking to add the three bestiaries package today. I'm rethinking that at this point.

Whoa. Rotten time connecting, I saw other people had trouble as well. Hopefully this won't happen again
Oh my God! Baldwin you are being evil again. They really were innocent goblin squatters.
Hmm More lagging here. If I go down for a long time I give permission for someone to bot me, here is what I have available
1.Aid Spell 1d8+1 Temp HP +1 Hit(Can convert to heal)
2.3 or 4 Healing Channels left
3.Satchel with 8 CLW potions for anyone to dip in
4.Invisibility as Domain spell from Trickery Domain
Andrea will usually keep to the back finishing off downed targets so she has room to channel without reviving critters(STepping back if need be) She will hand out a potion to anyone who asks.
It looks like Hero Lab was having an issue with one of their servers and it's been fixed now. Must ahve been a bad tech day for them and Paizo too. Hopefully its all behind us. Although Paizo is updating slow.
By the way, this encounter is not in the AP module, the module only lists a short paragraph about a side adventure hunting down the Goblin King ner the north wall.
Andrea they kept telling you you that in goblin...but the stupid invaders don't don't listen.
Hans Cummings wrote a book recently entitled, "Wings of Twilight" that I really enjoyed. The premise was from the monster's POV the invaders were the adventuring treasure seekers.

Now, now, don't get mad at Duncan! If there was anyone to blame, it's the bard, whose entire spell list and really character trope is built on interacting verbally with others and who therefore should be able to speak at least seven different obscure languages!

I just threw that in because I don't think it would be really out of character for Andrea to go on like that. Dealing with a direct problem like Areal's rescue, Rescuing someone from the sewers, dealing with Nightbeasts makes more sense since it can help herself by making Westcrown better/safer. The goblins were a vague threat just from Maurice's sayso, so piling up the bodies 'because' can cause problems. Especially since Andrea has been on 'Team Evil' so having people roll up and start stabbing would make her rather annoyed.

Hey, when they write a Chelish opera in Goblin, I'll consider learning it.
...maybe.
Well, tongues will definitely be among my 2nd-level spells, but I can't imagine that comprehension without the ability to meaningful exchange with the goblins would have been that helpful.

Pure Metagaming:
This goblin king has a Dexterity score of 24-25, that's why he's so hard to hit. Though I suppose his armor must be giving him at least a +5 - +6 bonus to AC. You have to consider the +1 Size bonus as well.
Not all magic gear resizes. I rarely, if ever, have armor or weapons resize. The rule actually states: "Many magic garments are made to be easily adjustable, or they adjust themselves magically to the wearer." (CRB 459) Clothing, rings, boots and other wonderous items resize.
There are pricing differences in creating some items due to size. Otherwise, crafty folks would make everything at the lowest cost then have it resize magically.
There is a third party spell called "Adjust" that magically resizes armor and weapons but players are not using third party material.
