Baldwin, I already rolled a Perception check. You even quoted it in the IC thread when you were asking if the torch was lit. The Perception result was 14.

This does show a problem with traps and searching. When you have 50+ feet of corridor to search, going over eveyr square is darn tedious.

I wouldn't say it's tedious, it builts up the suspense of what is ahead in a strange dark sewer, it's unfamilar terrain. Otherwise, you get the super character that knows everything, that can't be surprised, trigger a trap, or be injured. The player doesn't know what those perceptions checks are for and it keeps them guessing. Are the perception rolls for the shadows, noises, light at a distance, traps?

I guess. I think I was thinking more of active searching(I thought you had to actively be looking for traps and such)

Hmm I guess I wasn't feeling it that time. Kinda off my game. Was attempting a 'You are still under my thumb' scene but without a good lead-in like the failed fort save, it came off flat.

I'm waiting on kenji to act before I finish up the round. Shinon I noted your action for Rd 2. Your bluff is more of an intimidation than a bluff at this point in combat. Plus, the I'll spare you life is threatening.

Okay, I can see that. Here's my Intimidate check then:

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

Not with as much space as I'm trying to show 185 feet long. To be able to fit it all on the laptop makes it more difficult. Plus the screenshot/export feature on the maptools does not work at least for me, so I'm using a sniping tool. If it was a big wide screen, it could be done but I create the maps on a laptop.

Hmm. Looks like we have a disagreement here. I think it might be best if Kenji/Baldwin have a private message discussion so things can get decided, I don't want either side getting angry over a ruling.

My opinion? Let Kenji stay on his ledge and not in the sewer(erase damage) I do suggest Kenji do more scroll back when we get into combat. Does anyone have any suggestions?

There is no getting angry. The action was Recon. It's a game, there was some confusion on the setting it's worked out.

NICE! I'll just go ahead and confirm that crit on Clem's smug face!

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
For: 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (5, 2) + 6 = 13 extra damage!

And in case I need to roll for concealment (I don't think I do, since he's within range of my torch and I'm waiting for him to come into full view, but I dunno how it's working): 1d100 ⇒ 61 (80 or below hits)

Shinon he is not within your pointblank range when he pokes out. He is 55 ft away.

What? I must be misreading the map, because it looks like those two guys are right next to me and John...

Oh well. Subtract 1 from the hit and 3 from the total damage then. I sure hope a 24 will still confirm.

Those are grease spots, I mentioned that previously in the game thread. I used a slim token to show the area as I did not have a grease token. Duncan's icon is under the grease spot but he is actually standing firmly on his feet. The way maptools lays the tokens he was put under it the slime.

I'm going to wait a little bit to see if John and Duncan pop in. John still has an aciton, I have a bandit action and ermolos remaining in the round. I need to rearrange what I was going to have the wizard do because that would totally piss off Shinon and his critcal hit which happens at the top of the round.

Take some time and read go back and read the combat. It has been fast and furious. Note, that I often - if it is within the 1 hour time period to edit posts - put in the recap at the beginning of the round the actions that have taken place already.

The wizard cast grease on the ledge and a magic missles hitting Duncan. It's the wizard's turn and he was going to cast fog cloud and your shot could be wasted. However, since you shot a bit early and had such a dandy of a shot...I won't kill your joy with the preplanned action.

I want to apologize to you guys. Especially our good GM. I've been having trouble with keeping up and missing many important details. Speed reading isn't helping me much in these combat scenarios. If it becomes to much of a problem for you guys, I will graciously drop out.

No problems here. I get frusterated at times as well.

Edit: Am I laying it on too much? I was imagining getting 'punched in the brain by your deity is not good' would be a better tack to take.

No need to drop out. We do about 50 posts a day in game and another 20 or so, in the discussion, speed reading is completely understandable.

I'm fine with it but remember your diety mentioned she had her fun but you need to choose at your next prayer time. She is not tormenting you currently.

Actually Kenji and Shinon need to up their XP totals to 3500 total.

Andrea, Duncan and John have the correct XP total listed.

Kenji will definatley need to restock his shuriken supply. Quite a few have sunk into the trench...a treasure trove for the goblins to find. The goblins are similar to the guys who dive for golf balls in lakes.

Oh lord, I just imagined a goblin in plaid and one of those little caps.

That would be an idea for a goblin NPC, carries a sword bag of holding and hands them out depending on what monster is there.
