however if that roll wasn't enough, he puts his shoulder to the door and tries to help str check, dc 10 to assist: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4... his feet seem to slip on the slick floor though and he only manages to push himself away from the door, sigh

Cue Legend of Zelda puzle music.

The walls of this long chamber are of brick, the ceiling supported by stone arches. Remnants of bedrolls and other camping equipment lie along the southern wall.

Another wooden door is at the other end of the room.

These are dark creepers, the smallest of the dark folk that lurk in the Darklands. They can naturally cast darkness as they wish, which is good as they are weak to bright lights. They otherwise use well aimed attacks and poison to bring down foes.

Like many of the dark folk, they do have a violent reaction occur upon their deaths; in which case they explode in a haze of bright light.

The Crane Wing doesn't use an action, so I'm choosing to have it apply to the first attack because it's too unwieldy to do it the regular way in PBP. But the Snake Style is an immediate action that I have to choose to use, so I'm choosing to use that immediate action if a touch or ranged touch attack is used on him instead of picking a single attack each round. I suppose if the first attack against him is a touch or ranged touch they'd both trigger... In that case the Snake Style one would override any other AC he has since his AC becomes the Sense Motive check.

Crit baby! You should roll confirmation :)

Heh, like I said Deaglan... they will KNOW when you hit them!

Acid damage yellow: 2d4 ⇒ (3, 4) = 7

Deaglan smashes the head in of the last capable dark creeper, whose body also explodes in a violent burst of light.

Deaglan Fort: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Varian Fort: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Duration: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Varian's eyes are blasted, but having held the first one, they will only be non-functional for a few seconds.

Combat over!

There is nothing to note in the chamber, only the sole dark creeper bleeding out (who will explode in light as with the others in 3 rounds). A strange dead end, indeed...

Varian's eyes go back to normal quickly, Owai's a touch longer, but his vision is restored as well.

What do you do?

Seeing the last critter drop, Shilyn re-sheathes her acid wand and offers her healing wand to one of the others to use. "This thing doesn't seem to work well for me.. someone else wish to try it?"

Presumably, between Varian, Deaglan, and Owai, the wand can be used and any healing allocated as necessary. Just need to mark the charges :)

Hmph. Just try it again; your failure was not catastrophic. Mahasi scowls.

IE you can try again on a wand until you roll a 1, at which point it stops working for you for a day.

He pulls out a wand of infernal healing. I have a more reliable method for those who have no issue with the metaphysical source

Deaglan touches his holy symbol and a burst of holy energy bursts forth from it. He then accepts Shilyn's wand and heals Owyn. After that he returns the wand to the half-elf. "It takes faith to use divine spells my lady"

Channel: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 5) = 10
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Looking around in the room Deaglan shrugs "I wonder what they were doing here, it seems to be a dead-end"
