I think we established that it's immune to crits.... is it still taking bleed damage though?

Not wanting to get enveloped by the thing, Camlo retreats (To O13). The Cut-throte's apprentice continues to attack.

Arthur and Tikrok:

Spoiler:
Arthur and Tikrok make their way through the dusty corridors. The footprints of those who had gone before are clear in the dust.

Tikrok's quarry is somewhere below: the priest of Gorum, a by-blow with an half-elf slave who nevertheless carries the blood of chieftains. The father, Agnar, now ailing, had vouchsafed to Tikrok the task of finding him, and to tell him of the pressing need for him to return for the choosing of the next chief. How he would react given the nature of their parting was anyone's guess. But that was not Tikrok's problem. All he had to do was find him.

Arthur glances at his companion. Their backgrounds are very different yet they had fallen in together in companionable-enough fashion on the road from Riddleport. An elven-blooded by-blow himself he is vaguely curious to meet this son of Agnar. But more curious still to meet the heroes of Sandpoint, now making a reputation for themselves along the Lost Coast. Goblin invasions, dark cults, assaults by giants and dragons - the town of Sandpoint seemed fated for destruction. Yet this band had fought them all off and the settlement endured. No stranger to conflict, this group fascinate Arthur.

They reach the bottom of a spiral stair. A wall of fog confronts them, and beyond it could be heard inhuman screams and the sounds of battle. Tikrok and Arthur exchange a look, ready their weapons, and step through.

You can clearly hear the sound of fighting and can walk towards it, albeit that visibility is 5' due to the fog.

Everyone else:

Spoiler:
You hear footsteps approaching from behind you.

The song that came from within the horrid noises was like a lighthouse in a stormy night for Arthur.

The half elf moved, step by step followed by the illusory images, until he gazed the abomination amidst the haze. Raising his greatsword he focused once again and the sparks that erupted from and surrounded him gathered along the blade's edge.

Here's hoping I don't take AOOs the whole way, thanks for taking the first one Illes.

Illes's song passes through Tikrok's mind clearing away the mental haze as it flows. The dual horned rhino shakes his head to clear away the rest of the cobwebs. He looks back and narrows his eyes at the halfling behind him before he moves off around the beast, his flank bleeding freely, to prevent getting backstabbed again. The pleasure is all mine! Thanks for mostly rolling low.

6 hp bleed damage. Move action to H/I-13/14 (40ft speed) unless thats to far to move in the fog. That should provide flanking to Alwyn and Arthur assuming it can be flanked.

With a bellow he attempts to gore the horror with his horns.

Vital Strike, flank: 1d20 + 17 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 17 + 2 = 32 damage: 8d8 + 14 ⇒ (1, 3, 8, 2, 7, 2, 8, 5) + 14 = 50
That's satisfying to throw that many damage dice even if it is virtual.

I don't think Elisile had a go yet. Can someone more familiar with Alwyn take his turn? I was fine getting him ungrappled and picking up his sword but this is a less obvious turn. I'd love to just have him play healbot but I don't think that's in character for him.

Alwyn has been known to heal from time to time ;-)

It’s probably a good move here.

Alwyn calls on the power of Gorum to restore he and his allies to full fighting strength.

Channel positive energy for 6d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 6, 5, 3, 4) = 22 using Selective Channelling to exclude the horror.

And yes, I seem to have missed Elisile's turn; assume she delayed to see what the newcomers would do, and acts now after Arthur but before the Horror if it is still 'standing' after those attacks.

Looking at the map, I don't think Tikrok can actually get round the Horror as it's blocking the corridor. However, assuming he just "gives it the horn", so to speak, without moving he can still hit it without requiring flanking. Likewise, Arthur's attack also hits.

Arthur leaps forwards, his blade carving a bloody path through the fused bodies and plunging repeatedly into the shrieking mass. Tikrok's animal form rampages through the mass of flesh, horns tearing and hooves trampling. The shrieking voices reach a crescendo of rage and suffering.

A bit of artistic licence there, since they were single attacks, but anyway... Elisile up next.

"Oh, you're looking for Alwyn? Are you from his tribe?"

"I am Alwyn Agnarrsonn." Alwyn nods with respect at the Shoanti holy man. "Why do you seek me?"

To Camlo, "No, erm, not exactly. I have been sent from his tribe though." When Alwyn emerges from the fog, "Ah, Alwyn. I wish we could have met under better circumstances but I have been sent to pass along a message. It's your father. He has grown ill and his outlook is not good. It has been requested that you return to him to sort out what happens next. It is apparent that you are a healer of no small skill. Perhaps you can help where others could not. Otherwise... he should have his sons with him. Not to mention, the clan will need a leader."

Camlo looks confused, then concerned, but knows just enough to keep his mouth shut while the tribesmen get sorted.

Alwyn gives Tikrok a long, hard look. "My father and I did not part on good terms. I am surprised to be so summoned." He pauses to think for a moment. "Friends of mine are lost within these tunnels. We should find them first. Then we can talk of my father."

Elisile keeps her bow ready just in case ... but upon hearing the stranger's conversation with Alwyn she lowers her bow and gives the cleric a concerned look.

"Agreed, we cannot leave people in need. Let us search for your friends. Once we are done here I can get you back to your tribe in a matter of days or less if you wish. You all seem like capable combatants. Hopefully we do not get in your way."

"So, we were, ahhh, following the tapping?"

Tikrok closes his eyes for a moment to focus on the sounds. "That would seem to be the wisest course of action. Hopefully it is your friends trying to signal someone to assist them."
