Hudak hacks into the newly arrived zombie:
Attack 1: 10+22+4(bard)-3 (Power Attack)=AC 33, damage 1d10+19+4(bard)+9 (Power Attack)=40.
Attack 2: 11+17+4-3=AC 29, damage 1d10+19+4+9=39.
Attack 3: 14+12+4-3=AC 27, damage 1d10+19+4+9=39.

Male Human (Shoanti) Cleric 11

Alwyn and Demiarchos acts once I know if Hudak took out the zombie.

Hudak efficiently eviscerates the zombie, leaving it in several pieces on the floor.

Sequencing this turn depends on whether Demiarchos can use his breath weapon over Enga (from right behind her, obviously).
Based on the above conversation, if there is no one in the square next to Enga, Demiarchos can have the cone of his breath weapon originate there. It can then spread out in the squares beyond Enga, missing her square. So, basically, yes, under those circumstances.

That's fair. In that case, Demiarchos moves to O-P 20-21 and burps fire all over the three zombies. Breath weapon damage: 10d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 3, 3, 6, 4, 6, 3, 2, 1) = 30 fire, Reflex 21 for half damage].

Male Human (Shoanti) Cleric 11

Alwyn delays for now, waiting for the forgefiend to make an appearance.

Hey, I'd forgotten about him - thanks for reminding me!

Demiarchos steps over the remains of the chopped-up zombie and sets the other ablaze.

Alwyn is delaying until I remember the forgefiend, so it's Enga.

“Raaarggh!!”

Enga stabs at the zombies in front of her with her spear in a two handed grip.

Full two handed power attack with inspire courage. If HZ3 falls she moves on to HZ2.
Attack 1: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (1) + 22 = 23 Damage: 1d4 + 26 ⇒ (3) + 26 = 29

Arcana, Dungeoneering or Religion.

I completely missed most of a page of posts, sorry.

Knowledge (Arcana): 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (11) + 19 = 30

It was a spell-like effect, summoning an undead minion. Which was then immediately slaughtered.

A zombie shuffles up and tires to pat Demiarchos.

Much to Alwyn's delight, the forgefiend emerges from a narrow corridor. It immediately tries to turn Enga to stone.

Do I have it in for Mothy's characters? Maybe.... Fort save DC 18.

Camlo isn't a great deal of use here, about the only way I can be useful is to put where I'll be dead very quick. So he will hold back and dither.

Sefayll will make arrangements to attack the Headless Lord at range.

"My friend, I think we need to attack the problem at its head. Ironically, I suspect that to be the headless fellow in the back."

She readies her crossbow for a shot, wanting to see if the Shoanti's over-sized brawn is enough to handle the challenge before expending a spell that might be needed later.

I just realized that the stone giant's spellbook included "Command Undead" which doesn't show up as a spell in d20pfsrd, but as a feat. Is it misnamed, perhaps, and I'm not recognizing the spell they intended?

There is also a 2nd level spell called Command Undead.

I really don’t like this monster – it can do its turn to stone thing from a distance through the zombies? Gods. Does this trigger Alwyn’s readied action? I guess not if he can’t see it.

It sounds like Vatters had a plan to deal with the forge fiend; I'm not sure what that was, but I suspect he planned to cast dismissal on it. I think we determined it was an outsider of some type?

Unfortunately Dismissal has a short range and Alwyn is wearing heavy armour, he won't be able to get within range and cast this round. If he moves up into a position where he can cast next round he will cop AoO from the headless lord. What do you guys think he should do?

I think he tried Dismissal last time and it saved. Don't know if he has it memorised twice.

Alright. Hopefully he hasn’t used Searing Light? If not, he’ll 5 foot step to N21 and cast searing light on the headless lord. He’s casting past Demiarchos and Hudak, and into melee, so takes a -8 penalty on the ranged touch attack, partially offset by the +4 from inspire courage. Hopefully a headless giant zombie won’t have a high touch AC.

Ranged touch: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 Damage: 10d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 2, 6, 4, 2, 3, 3, 2, 6) = 33 No save but spell resistance applies.

Enga fells a zombie and steps into the room. Hudak wades forward, and Nualia's Tongue scolds the headless zombie to gruesome effect. Alwyn's spell then sends sloughed cooked chunks of it falling to the floor.

But the scanderig sends a wall of translucent flame erupting from the cold stone.

The scandering casts Wall of Fire. The hot side is the north side, so anyone to the north of it and within 10' takes 2d4 ⇒ (4, 3) = 7 fire damage.

"Oh, bother. Where did he find a headless zombie that summons undead minions and casts flaming wall spells?"

Continue to delay.

The headless zombie attacks Hudak with surprising dexterity, an evil-looking hatchet in each hand.

The Headless Lord attacks Hudak
Attack 1 1d20 + 20 - 3 ⇒ (12) + 20 - 3 = 29 to hit, damage 1d8 + 14 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 14 + 6 = 23 plus 1d6 ⇒ 4 negative energy

EDIT: Critical threat on Attack 3
Attack 3 1d20 + 20 - 3 ⇒ (14) + 20 - 3 = 31 to confirm, extra damage 2d8 + 28 + 12 ⇒ (6, 3) + 28 + 12 = 49

Demiarchos.

Big D could move through Hudak and down to get into range of the Headless Lord, but will provoke an attack of opportunity. Does Alwyn have spells he can swap for healing?

hp 87 of 87; effects active: mage armour (AC 22); gravity bow, flame arrow Female Elf Wizard (Transmuter) 6 / Ranger 1 / Eldritch Knight 4

The dog is immune to fire, so it can walk through the wall (or continue to stand north of it and munch on zombie lord) without harm, but probably best to avoid AoOs from a big hitter like Headless. He can delay until after Hudak, who should be able to get away from Headless (and the wall) by making a retreat action boosted by haste. I'm not 100% sure what Alwyn has already cast, but I suspect he does have some spells left (or could channel).

By the way, is Headless taking damage from the wall of fire? Double damage against undead.

hp 87 of 87; effects active: mage armour (AC 22); gravity bow, flame arrow Female Elf Wizard (Transmuter) 6 / Ranger 1 / Eldritch Knight 4

Ok, Demiarchos delays. Hudak makes a retreat action back to C-D-20-21 (if this puts him outside the heat zone of the wall of fire). Demiarchos then moves forward into Q-R-20-21 and tries to bite Headless.

Bite attack: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (7) + 25 = 32 Damage: 2d6 + 16 ⇒ (3, 3) + 16 = 22 plus fire damage 2d6 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3

Demiarchos leaps forwards as Hudak backs away. The hound's jaws close on the zombie lord's middle and he shakes it vigorously. Already wounded by Hudak, the Headless Lord comes apart at the seams, arms and legs scattering across the room. Demiarchos then drops the ravaged torso contemptuously.

Headless Lord down.

Good time for a 20, hopefully that was successful. He has a move action left, I’m open to suggestions whether he should move forward to try to engage the Forge Fiend next round, or to move back to heal Hudak?
