I must be missing something... The map as I can make, following the instructions is Here. But that makes there no way into the Ogre room, and there should be some stairs in the middle of a corridor? What've I done wrong?

Heh. Only if someone had pointed it out before I started drawing the map out. Oh, and you appear to have a misplaced door at G3 too.

Assuming the door to this room is at F4, Elisile will be standing at G4. She lets fly an arrow at the scar-faced ogre, an arrow that crackles with electricity.
Attack: 12 + 8 + 2 (favoured enemy) +1 (PBS) = 23. Damage: 4 + 2 + 2 (favoured enemy) +1 (PBS) + 4 (electricity) = 13

Indeed, thanks for the catch, I'll update it once Aubrey's confimred things...

Camlo opens the door and he and Elisile take in the horrific scene. With steely resolve she fires on the ogre, and with a crackle her electrically-charged arrow hits home on its vile hide.

Elisile brings up another arrow and releases, again targeting the ogre, 8 + 8 + 1 (PBS) + 2 (ranger) = 19, Damage: 2 + 1 + 1 (PBS) + 2 (ranger) + 5 (electricity) = 11.

She then darts away into the store room (move to G1), quickly and breathlessly telling the others what they have seen – “First door on the right – ogre! Just one. Quick, before it alerts this whole place.”

Camlo takes a deep breath, and moves into the room, hoping the others are following close behind. He swings out with his rapier, getting ready to bring the punching dagger to bear too.

Move to C3, Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 271d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4


He's still flatfooted - you get sneak attack damage too.

Ah, cool...3d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 3) = 5 + 3 bleed damage (keeps recurring every round until the ogre gets healed).

We've already done our surprise round (Elisile shot and Camlo drew his weapons), is it is Illes now.

When Elisile conveys what is going on, Illes darts down the hallway Vethran's wand still in hand. He slips just inside the room and levels it at the mad ogre willing it to do... something. And nothing happens.

MA: 30' to E5
SA: UMD (DC 20) 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16 = fail.
How many charges does this wand of enfeeblement have Fates? Full?
Current status: Right wand wand, left hand shield, no threat.

btw- the Sihedron Medallion will conflict with the body slot of my Badge of Valor that allows me to hit +5 inspire courage 3x/day. So Camlo, Hudak? Who wants +1 on all saves, false life 1/day and possibly some kind of evil taint?

Sorry. I must have missed it. Shoulda reminded me. I was only taking it to put it to use rather than throwing it in a sack as it was unclaimed as far as I saw.

Vethran draws a wand from his robes and activates it, his hand shimmering with a pale red light.

Drawing the wand of vampiric touch and activating it. Holding the charge to be used later. 5' step to F2.


As the ogre blinks stupidly, Camlo ducks in and slashes its ankle, a small wound which nevertheless bleeds freely. Hudak follows, his blow over-eager and going wide. The ogre decides to split its attacks between the two assailants that are close, and plunges its hook into Camlo's flesh before the return swing slashes Hudak.

26 and 20 to hit Camlo and Hudak respectively, 28 damage to Camlo, 30 damage to Hudak. Ouch!

Hudak's got a 21 AC, so he gets missed. Camlo, though... ouch indeed.


Unfortunately, he was using his sword two-handed, which negates the benefits of his buckler.
