Wo-hoo!

Thought of a name yet, or did we all agree on Malcolma Alexandra?

Thanks, bro.

All went well. Mom went into labor at 10 a.m., and baby girl came at 3 p.m. via c-section. 7 pounds, 1 ounce.
I'll be home nights taking care of my other two goblins, and gramma will watch them during the day so I can help mom out at the hospital.
Don't think I'll be hyperposting for the next few days.....

Yea!!!! I would suggest "Meepo" for a name, or Iggwilv! Don't forget to get her a login on the site for "Heathansdaughter".

Congrats bro!

Yeah, he was posting on Friday and/or the weekend I think.

I appreciate I have been away a lot recently, and that some people (esp. Heathy) may have other things on their minds or got out of the habit of checking the thread. However, the pace of posting has slowed considerably, and I just want to know that people are still on board, interested and able to post regularly (more or less every day, barring weekends). Can I have a quick confirmation from everyone? Cheers.

I am leaving my current job tomorrow, taking next week off and starting a new job. My schedule will be wonky for a while, but I am still interested.

Depending on the internet poolicy of new job, I may only be on at lunch, or not at all during work.

Remains to be seen.

Congrats on the new job! Better pay/prospects?

Worse pay intiially, but I get a commision, and deffinte raises that go with certifications. And they nicely pay for me to get trained and certified.

Worst case is in a year, I have a half dozen certifications added to my resume when I start looking again.

I'm all in, boss!

I'm still in checking regularly. I'm thinking over the clues we got and I have a different opinion from Lo'j, but I have to admit it's based partly on metagame knowledge of reading between the lines for key words and phrases. I'll just toss it out over here and maybe it will clarify it for me as I type it.

Tobyn's daughter Nualia. She was a foundling- violet eyes, white hair, extraordinary beauty, people agreed that she had more than human blood in her veins.
I take that to be our clue that she was definitely not human. A changeling maybe? Sorceror with fey or dragon blood. Something along those lines.

When she became interested in a boy her 'father' disapproved and tried to put an end to it. The boy was Varisian, completely inappropriate. Then the boy disappeared. I take that to mean either the father killed him, drove him out of town, or she killed her love accidentally as she came of age and manifested supernatural abilities.

Next the temple burns down. Supposedly they both Tobyn and Nualia died in the fire, but there were no remains for Nualia. I think she either set the fire accidentally or she and the Varisian set the fire or the father was trying to purge or exorcise her and the fire got out of hand accidentally. I think we can safely assume Nualia did not really die in the fire and now someone is back digging her authoritative overbearing father figure up and burning down the new temple he died in.

I don't know what that adds up to or how it ties in, but they are elements that should be noted. Also I didn't get the part about Chopper burning his offerings. The way I read it was the authorities burned his shrine after they caught him unless I missed something in another post.

The Exchange

Yes, he didn't burn the offerings, the Watch did that for him after he died. Maybe you should transfer some of this to the other thread "in character", there are some good thoughts in there.

Lo'j is likeable enough, but not the sharpest prong on the trident. He'll stick to his original misinterpretation.

I'm really sorry. I thought I'd be back to posting by today.
As luck would have it, both of my toddlers have come down with colds, my wife is still getting over her c-section, and the newborn is doing well, but they have to be fed every 2-3 hours; I've got my hands real real full right now, but I'll see when I can get back into the swing of things.
I just hope to God on high the newborn doesn't catch the cold.

I'm still here ... my posting schedule has probably slowed a little, (I'm working on my Open Call submission) but I'm still right into the game.

I'm trying to play Elisile as the laconic type, although it doesnt gel all that well with my (usually verbose) style of play ... so there are times I'm probably making shorter posts (or not posting at all) when i normally would. Also trying to stick to the "don't post out of turn" rule, although that is obviously much less applicable to non combat situations... but trying not to make multiple posts when I'm online and no-one else is. But I'm enjoying the game, and enjoying the mystery we seem to be discovering.

Best Defense to that is to wash hands. Keep the kids away from the babe, and wash your hands everytime you go to touch the Lil' Nipper. If they don't feel raw by tomorrow afternoon, you ain't washin' enough. If you can't wash, carry some anti-bacterial hand gel at all times.

Stage 4 contamination threat, please do not panic.
EERRTT!
Good luck, bro.

Oh, did that slip out? ;-)

Actually I’m freaking out a bit, I’ve never written anything professionally before, and I am very fast and loose with the rules when I write adventures for myself … it’s a lot of work to do it properly!

Just a thought - who ended up with those two wands of cure light wounds that we bought?

Grand Lodge

I think it was Alwyn and Dravite.

Grand Lodge

Male Human Expert 5

I think so, too - I just hadn't put it on the character sheet. I'll update right away.

Sovereign Court

I'm here.
Missed the point when Larken came back, so that's why I've been quiet.
I'll re-read all the conversation, and pitch in tonight.

The Exchange

Male Dworc (half-dwarf/half-orc) Monk4/Barbarian2/Rogue2/Jack-of-all-Trades2/Master of None2/Quasi-diety2

I don't think Dravite got one. I thought someone else was better qualified to carry one. I thought the wand was a definate for Eldin and that either My PC or Ithuriel's PC was getting the other one, but we never put a firm decision in on who.

Grand Lodge

When it last came up, Dravite didn't trust us b/c of waking up in the temple and wanted to carry one to be self sufficient. I don't mind being the back up wand healer b/c all of my actions are generally supplemental whereas Elisile and Dravite are going to be much better at dropping baddies.

The Exchange

Male Dworc (half-dwarf/half-orc) Monk4/Barbarian2/Rogue2/Jack-of-all-Trades2/Master of None2/Quasi-diety2

Ithy's PC can have it, Dravite will pick one up next chance he gets.

Grand Lodge

Ok. Marked.

Anyone have ideas of what we should be doing other than the dinner invitation and waiting for the sheriff to get back? We can canvas the town for some Gather Info checks on relevant threads we have going on. That's about all I can think of right now.

Yeah, I'm kinda at a loss too. All I can think of is to ask around a bit.

That Foxglove fellow seems a little weird. Or am I reading too much into this?

Liberty's Edge

Male Mothman Expert 5

I’m not sure, I’m not getting the sense motive checks … he may just be nervous about adventurers, or wants to ask us to do something but doesn’t know how to bring it up (or hopes we’ll give him the right opening), or is worried that we’ll ask for some big reward for saving his life or something…

Liberty's Edge

Manwolf Werewoof testing upper middle class twit 5

I get tweaky when there's sense motive checks. Sometimes I feel like in lieu of "sense motive" checking I oughtta sense motive wreck a byoch makin me sense motive check myself.
But thinking back on it, the patron lady from the Eberron campaign,...I don't know if we didn't overreact to her, so I don't know.

Grand Lodge

Male Human Expert 5

Yeah, that's sorta what I was thinking as well - we might not want to alienate yet another potential patron.

Having said that, I do not in any way regret going freelance in the Eberron campaign. High adventure!

Foxglove luuuurves Larken... so what does he want? Is it that he sees Larken as the one who most directly saved his life, or is there something else about Larken that he's interested in?

I think it's those smooth babyfaced cheeks. ; )

Sovereign Court

Yeah... just have to say "ew".
Foxglove was creeping me out, and I have a lot more life experience than Larken. Once it was pointed out to him (Larken speaks both Thassilonian and Varisian), that 15-year-old was OUT OF THERE!
Sorry if it cut the RP short, and expecially sorry if it cut off either an important patron or an important clue.

:-)) No problem at all. Quite nicely handled, in my view. I find it interesting the view people are taking - it is slightly more nuanced, and less sexual, than maybe you are all assuming. But all will be revealed (figuratively, I hasten to add) in the fullness of time.

Hey Heathy! This is what Hudak drank! Yummy in the tummy!

Grand Lodge

Male Human Expert 5

Yeah, I know what a hagfish is. Gack!

Sovereign Court

Yeah, I had the feeling it was something more than him looking for a baytoy, but all Larken (Mr. Less-Than-Observant, as far as social things are concerned) had to go on was the commentary of his companions. Sooooo.... he took his pristine self out the door.

Sovereign Court

I don't even want to think about what Hudak's breath must smell like.
But I can't wait for him to tank his "not making poo in my britches" roll. That'll be priceless!!!

Grand Lodge

Male Human Expert 5

Not making poo in the britches is precisely what Action Points are for.

A good reason why they aren't allowed in this game.

Grand Lodge

Meanie. :D

Grand Lodge

I knew it wasn't a boy toy thing. I just chose to make a snarky comment. It's certainly a fair misinterpretation from the way he was acting though and even with the sense motive check I have no idea what Aldern's goal was.
