Male Human Wizard 4 HP: 18/31 AC: 11 Treasure XP

Ah! Yes, I make it 3HP, but I will use second wind.... That puts me on 9HP?

A second wind is a standard action, so you will need to use an action point to fire that off. Also, a second wind increases your defences by two until your next turn.

By the way, you still have a saving throw against your immobilisation to make.

Initiative
Gorad 19
Arakan 14 (immobilised s/e)
Darters 10+ (D2 slowed)
Jareen 10- (immobilised s/e)
Calla 8
Ragers 7 (R2 grants combat advantage and is bloodied)
Irivis 5 (immobilised s/e, prone)

And they say 4e is easier than 3e!

Sounds like a good plan, AP burnt. 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 + think? Ohh, fail!

Calla projects her will into the minds of the ragers, demanding that they face her in melee, hoping to free her companions to deal with their ranged opponents.

Minor: augmented battlemind's demand to mark R1 and R3. Standard: attack R2 with whirling defense. 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 7 + 2 = 20; 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12 and R2 is marked.

Calla hits the siltrunner hard, grabbing the attention of the other two nearest.

Initiative
Gorad 19
Arakan 14 (immobilised s/e)
Darters 10+ (D2 slowed)
Jareen 10- (immobilised s/e)
Calla 8
Ragers 7 (R2 grants combat advantage and is bloodied, R1, R2 and R3 marked by Calla)
Irivis 5 (immobilised s/e, prone)

Barely able to stand after Calla's attack, one of the spear-runners decides discretion is the better part of valour. Two focus their atacks on her, while the last stabs at Jareen.

R2 retreats north off the map. R1 and R3 attack Calla, R4 attacks Arakan. Actually, it just occurs that Jareen couldn't shift to R11, as he is immobilised. For ease, I'll put him back and assume R1's AoO missed.

R1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 v AC, damage 4d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 5, 4, 1) + 4 = 20
R3: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 v AC, damage 4d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 3, 5, 6) + 4 = 21
R4: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 v AC, damage 4d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 6, 2, 3) + 4 = 17

Map updated.

Irivis.

Female Human Warlock 4 (Sorcerer King, Wildling) HP 46/46

Rising, Irivis sketches an unpleasant looking sign in the air next to R3 and then touches him with her rod.

"Wither."

Stand
Curse R3
Hand of Blight (Fort) v R3. Invoking Fell Might
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 - necro and psychic power damage
1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + (5) = 9 - curse damage
1d8 ⇒ 6 - Fell Might damage
22 damage total

Save v immobilised: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5. No.

Her ankle turns under her and she gasps slightly.

M Mul Shaman 2 Elemental Priest

Gorad shifts to R9 while Sandswimmer moves to Q10. Gorad uses healing spirits on himself healing surge +8 to take me back to full hps and Jareen gains an additional 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

If R3 is still alive attacking it if not R1
Thunder Bear's Warding Encounter 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9vs Fort
1d6 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 Calla gets the 3 temp hps if hits all party members next to my spirit gains 3 damage resistance until end of next year

One of the siltrunners is badly burned by Irivis' spell. But the spritis fail to heed Gorad's call. (Sorry, no DR.)

lol can tell I was working and dealing with sick baby when I posted above.... DR until end of next year... wouldn't thta be nice...

I noticed that, forgot to make a sarcastic comment (which isn't like me at all!). Hope the little one is better soon.

Male Half-Elf Mindvivisectionist 3/Archaeologist 1 (AC: 16 [T: 13 /F: 14]; HP: 28/28; F+5 (+2 vs Poison), R+8, W+4; Init: +2; Perc: +7 [Low-light vision])

As long as he's unable to move the spearman will pick him apart from a safe distance, so Arakan tries to remove himself from sight. He hopes it works this time, as every other time he's tried it seems to fall short of its goal. As before, he can't seem to conjure the energies to get it to work effectively. He draws his dagger, and tries to prepare himself for the worst, still unable to flush the poison from his system.

Standard, Eyebite vs R4, 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 vs Will
Minor, draw obsidian dagger
AP, Standard, Second Wind
Save vs Immob 1d20 ⇒ 4

The bombardment continues.

D1 attacks Calla, D2 Jareen, D3 Gorad, D4 Arakan.
D1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28 v AC to hit, damage 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
D2: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24 v AC to hit, damage 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
D3: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11 v AC to hit, damage 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
D4: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9 v AC to hit, damage 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14

Ouch again! Crit on Calla for the full 14 damage.

Jareen.

Male Human Wizard 4 HP: 18/31 AC: 11 Treasure XP

Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 This isn't going well.

Cast phantom bolt at R4, slide it to U13 if possible.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20 vs Will, 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 psychic damage.

Jareen stay stock still, obviously frustrated, he throws out is hand and a bolt of energy seemingly flies at an attacker.

Map updated.

Calla.

HP 21/35. PP 1/2. Ouch!

Calla curses as a dart finds flesh. She advances on one of her marked target, spear crashing down.

Shift to Q8. Attack with renewed focus: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12; 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13. Calla cannot be marked or slowed until the end of her next turn.

M Mul Shaman 2 Elemental Priest

don't forget the 3 temp hps from earlier Calla

Thanks! HP 21+3/35.

That's a miss. Also, I think the temporary hp came before you were attacked, so I think you are actually at plain old 24 hp.

The spear-carriers take a more aloof stance, jabbing with their spears while holding their prey at bay.

R3 heads off the top of the map, R1 attacks Calla, R4 Arakan.
R1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 v AC, damage 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (5, 3) + 5 = 13
R3: 1d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 6 - 2 = 16 v AC, damage 4d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 2, 3, 4) + 4 = 16 and on a hit the target gains vulnerability 5 to all damage until the end of the rager's next turn
R4: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20 v AC, damage 4d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 1, 6, 4) + 4 = 21

EDIT: R3 doesn't head off the top of the map. Change of plan.

Female Human Warlock 4 (Sorcerer King, Wildling) HP 46/46

Who did R3 attack? If it was Irivis, she's on -1 and dying. Again.

Yes, it was her again.

Irivis falls to the rager's spear.

Gorad.

Female Human Warlock 4 (Sorcerer King, Wildling) HP 46/46

1d20 ⇒ 17 - death save
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 - save v immobilisation

Irivis collapses again. Her iron constitution allows her to grip onto live, but even if she was conscious she'd still be unable to move.

M Mul Shaman 2 Elemental Priest

Sandswimmer moves to t7 and attacks r3

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13vs will
1d8 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 on hit Irvis gains 3 temp hps

1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27 Spend AP Heal on Irvis to get her to spend a heal surge, if I can if not to stabalize her

Arakin you get 3 extra hps for using your second wind next to Sandswimmer

Male Half-Elf Mindvivisectionist 3/Archaeologist 1 (AC: 16 [T: 13 /F: 14]; HP: 28/28; F+5 (+2 vs Poison), R+8, W+4; Init: +2; Perc: +7 [Low-light vision])

Whew, that means I'm at 2 instead of -1.

Arakan is gouged by the latest strike, had it not been for the invigorating presence of the spirit when he caught his breath, he is certain he would be a goner. With as much as he can muster, all he has left is a weak attempt to throw the creature off its game. "Have you worried don't we, wait until you see what comes next." He sounds convincing, but he does't believe a single word of it, and it may show. Finally, though, he can feel the numbness begin to make its way from his limbs.

Standard, Vicious Mockery at R4 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 vs Will, damage *crosses fingers* 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9.
Minor, draw thorn dagger in other hand
Save attempt on Immob 1d20 ⇒ 18

Sandswimmer interposes itself between the siltrunner and Irivis as Gorad tend to her wounds. Arakan's comment just makes the siltrunner look confused - though not enough to affect its attack - but at least he has some sensation returning to his legs. More darts hiss through the air.

D1 and D2 attack Calla, D3 attacks Gorad, D4 attacks Jareen:
D1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27 v AC, damage 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

I forgot to add, that if it does hit, it takes a -2 to attacks until the EOMNT.

Sadly...

Male Human Wizard 4 HP: 18/31 AC: 11 Treasure XP

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Still immobile Jareen casts another phantom bolt, this time at R4.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 vs Will for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 damage, and slide to T13

How many hp is Jareen on? I wondered if the last attack would knock him out.

Male Human Wizard 4 HP: 18/31 AC: 11 Treasure XP

9.... Was on 20 before the Hit...

OK, cool.

Jareen's spell makes the siltrunner stagger.

Calla.

Female Human Warlock 4 (Sorcerer King, Wildling) HP 46/46

Just a quick advance warning. I may be slow posting for the next week. I've got a youth theatre show in the final stages and will be extremely pushed for time.

Calla slumps to the ground, wounded by spear and dart, mouth open in a silent "O" of surprise or supplication.

Calla took 25 damage that round and is on -1 HP.

Another of the spear-carriers decides to retreat. The other two move in closer, perhaps scenting victory as Calla falls with Irivis.

R3 retreats. R1 attacks Gorad, R4 attacks Arakan.
R1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21 v AC, damage 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (5, 6) + 5 = 16

Arakan, trying to get a combination of distance from his attacker and the same for the others from theirs, steps slowly toward the other spearman. He tries to evoke an angered shout at the creature, but it comes out as nothing more than a cough. It is enough, though to allow the others to sidle closer together, which also just so happens to give him a little cover. He continues to push out the toxic effect, and get his legs moving. The way things are going, he will need them for his fevered run.

Move, shift to Q10.
Standard, Shout of Triumph at R1 (from R9 to P7), 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 vs Fort. Miss.
