question for the DM: would you allow the crafting of cognizance crystals to fall under Craft Wondrous Item? i ask because i was considering taking the feat, and while looking at it i happened across this:
Merging Craft Cognizance Crystal
The Craft Cognizance Crystal feat is quite limited in what it can do. If not using supplemental material that expands the items that can be created using Craft Cognizance Crystal, this feat can be merged into Craft Wondrous Item at the GM’s discretion, using the formula above to create cognizance crystals.
and i will be taking Scribe Tattoo (DM willing) because its somewhat helpful and i noticed one of the characters gets tattoos all the time (although these tattoos would go away when used, but hey maybe itll be fun)
for my character, how much wealth will he start with? i see the other PCs are level 10 but i think you also said they were a bit behind in wealth by level, so i ask.

No peeking, please Rarely Accountant 2/Auditor 4/Waster 30
Unfortunately you are in a time zone far, far away which means even when I do update you're probably tucked up in bed. I've had a bit of a busy week so I haven't been very scrupulous in updating either.

Rod and GG are in Texas, I think AG is in Kansas, Vattnisse used to be in Arizona but is back home in Norway, Ezreal is formerly from Arkansas but now in Greece, Fatespinner is in NY, and I'm in the UK. I'm assuming you're in Hawaii?
I'll do the level gain when I get home from work tonight - I need to look up the stuff associated with the last level of the Eldeen Ranger PrC.
Yeah, I've gotta look at the second Prestige Class that I was building towards. I know I need to spend my feat this level on one of the prereqs... I just don't remember what that prereq is.
What I do know, however, is that I just hit Tempest 4, which eliminates the two-weapon fighting penalty. 6 attacks per round with my full attack bonus. HOO-AH!
Clustered Shots or Impact Critical Shot? Decisions, decisions...
Clutered Shots, absolutely. DR is ruinous to people who rely on multiple attacks vs. single heavy blows. Archers, at least, are fortunate enough to even HAVE this option. Runzyl is going to have to get a the metalline enhancement on Falla Caesenri to compare, and even that won't help with alignment-based DR.
Gonna use my favored class bonus to learn an additional spell of a level lower than the max I can cast this time.
That would be teleport. Then chain lightning and summon monster VI I think to round it out.
Still looking at feats there are too many I'd like. Improved Familiar to transform Kadesh into a wand caster? Improved Init, Greater Spell Penetration, Greater Spell Focus Necromancy, Great Fortitude... A lot of them are boring but shore up the numbers for checks.
I think we stay too busy for crafting feats to be worthwhile. Persistent spell might be another option since I get free metamagic uses per day. I could only do that once a day without prepping, but it is damn strong. Could always use it in slots as well.

My vote is for either Greater Spell Penetration or Greater Spell Focus (Necromancy). Ezreal uses an awful lot of spells that are susceptible to SR and he doesn't get that lovely bonus for being an elf, nor does he have any caster level boosting feats or abilities. On the other hand, being focused in Necromancy means you're going to be using a lot of save-or-suck spells, and those need a high save DC to be reliable. It's your character, though. Just my 2 cents.
Yeah greater spell penetration sounds pretty solid. It already comes up consistently and that will only increase as we go forward.
When we get the opportunity I'm going to sell some gear and reshuffle. I'll probably bump the headband bonus up if I have the gold to spread around so that will up DCs across the board.

Still haven't had a chance to look up the prereqs for Revenant Blade (it's in the Player's Guide to Eberron, I believe). I don't suppose anyone has that handy for me? :D
I know I needed the 2 ranks of Knowledge (History) and the Bladebearer of the Valenar feat... but I seem to recall there being 1 or 2 other prereqs I have yet to meet. The feat this level is going to fill one of them.
Gil's not quite ready, I still need to pick a feat and her new 'Expanded Knowledge' spell. It can be up to 4th-level this time.
I haven't even had time to look, but I'm open to suggestions. I'm leaning toward a Spell Penetration feat, also, but a Spell Focus (Illusion) might be good since I'm picking up Shadow * spells.
