Took another level of bone knight which gave me the following abilities:
hp – 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 or (4)+1=5 whichever is higher
3 skill points – Intimidate, Knowledge (religion), Sense Motive
Spellcasting increase (CL 8) for aberrant marks and (CL 6) for paladin spells plus more paladin spells prepared
Increase DC to saves vs channel negative energy
Gain access to bonecraft weapon special ability
Increase duration on death’s bond
Increase BAB, CMB and CMD
Action Points reset to 10 (2d6)
Oh yeah, I also gain Armor Training with Fighter 3, meaning my speed is unhindered by medium armor, the ACP is reduced, and the max DEX goes up by 1! Sounds like Runzyl needs to find himself a +1 breastplate soon, as it would be a base AC upgrade of 2 with no drawbacks!
EDIT: Better yet, +1 mithril fullplate! Expensive, but a massive AC boost for the front-liner.

Hey Vatters, how's it feel to be back in the land of your ancestors? And how is the job hunt going? Or did you and the missus decide to go to Norway so you could both be unemployed but still enjoy excellent health care?
No - though any spell slots you have used remain used until you rest.
Got it -- she's updated. Fortunately or unfortunately, she didn't actually use much of her personal repertoire in that last fight, so she has most of her options remaining.
Looking at her sheet, I badly need to rearrange some things -- I keep forgetting abilities because they are buried.

Guys, just to warn you (slightly) in advance, but my posting schedule is likely to be quite disrupted over the next month or so. I am in New York for business next week, then back in the UK for a week, then in Warsaw for a week, and then immediately after that I'm on holiday for two weeks. Hopefully the US and Poland trips won't be too disruptive to posting, but the holiday (or the first week and a half of it) definitely will be (in a cottage in Northumberland for a week, then a few days with the in-laws in Yorkshire, and then a few days at home).

By the way, sorry my posting has been occasionally patchy over the last few months. I've had a few issues at work but they are now all resolved, so I am now less distracted by extraneous issues.
Thanks for the headsup. Sorry to hear things at work have been less than ideal, but I'm glad to hear they've settled down. My work life is pretty up in the air - a wide variety of varying tasks going on right now - so my posting comes and goes, but I'm too obsessed to let it get very far behind. ;-)
Enjoy the trips and the holiday. (Even if they're work, there's got to be an upside to the travel, right? - says the country mouse that rarely leaves the state he was born in.)
I'm in NYC, so if you can make it down there, why not? I arrive Sunday night and leave Wedenesday night.
Curses. I was hoping you'd be in sooner since getting to NYC on a weekday is probably not going to happen. It's only about a 2 hour drive, but I wouldn't be able to leave until after work (obviously) and then would have to start heading back probably no later than midnight. My wife has been wanting to go to the MET for awhile...
That's an idea. How late are you getting in on Sunday night? If my family and I make a trip down there with the intent of spending all of Sunday in the city, I could very possibly make a detour in the evening to come see you. This is all hypothetical, though, as I don't know how keen my wife will be on abruptly declaring a family outing less than 48 hours in advance.

I'll also just be staggering off a flight at about 4pm NY time / 10pm UK time so I doubt I'd be great company, to be quite honest (unless some sleep-deprived English guy with bed hair is your idea of a good time). I expect there'll be another opportunity anyway, being an international man of mystery - I'll be more proactive next time and let you know further in advance.

Hehe... I am already working - I had a security gig lined up before I left the US. Promisingly, I have a job interview for a real job on Monday, so I'm excited.

In that vein- we'll be going to Crete with my folks next Saturday (25th) for about 2 weeks, but I don't think it should disrupt things too much. Might have difficulty viewing maps (phone distorts the boxes), but other than that should be fine.
Level up details:
1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
+1 BAB, +1 Will, +1 Feat (undecided).
Skills: +9 (2 + 6 int + 1 human)
Favored Class: +1 spell known of 4th or lower (dimensional anchor)
New Spells: Suffocation, Dismissal
I took Quori as a language. Is that kosher Aubrey? Assuming it is a language available to learn through self study by a guy who has an interest and was recently in a major city and library. Just thought I should check that it is available.

Such a jet setting lifestyle you lead Aubrey. Have fun!

Y'know, I was that far away from jacking it in here on these boards today. I really wish the edition wars would knock it on the head. I've had to minimise virtually the whole board.

You'd think people would have moved on by now. Or at least have better things to do.
FYI
We are I Crete now and the Internet is a little more spotty than expected. I'll post as I can but dont be shy about npcing any of my guys if you are waiting.
A question for you English-speaking non-Americans - once we have reassembled the family here in Norway, we'll probably speak English with Emma. So, as it makes more sense to buy her reading materials from the British, rather than the US, version of Amazon, do you have any recommendations for books for little kids (besides Paddington Bear, that is)? All her stuff is American, and it would be fun to mix it up a little.

Just go through all her books with a Sharpie marker and add a 'u' into words like 'honor' 'valor' and 'armor.' Bingo! Instant British!
Seriously, though, you should certainly consider teaching her to be bi-lingual during the formative years (I assume you speak Norwegian?). During the first 5-7 years, children possess an almost supernatural ability to assimilate language and it will be much more difficult for her to learn it later in life (if at all). With regards to the books, we got some Edward Gorey books for my daughter... but my daughter may or may not be considerably creepier than yours.
EDIT: Nevermind. I just found out that Gorey is American. I didn't realize that. Carry on!
We're most certainly intending to raise her to be bilingual. But she will speak Norwegian with her friends and in kindergarten, so she'll have to learn English at home. Also, my wife doesn't speak much Norwegian - maybe they'll teach each other?
She's... ah... not really a baby anymore. At all. She'll be 5 in 3 weeks. Ye gods...
A beautiful little lady. You, sir, are going to have your hands full. Have you begun practicing the speech yet - you have to time the phrasing right as you clean the weapon, don't wait to long to start... ;-)
Emma's gone from this through this to this in six months. Good times!
Ah, rats. I don't do Facebook, so my silence on her appearance should not be seen as a commentary on it. Truth be told, I love children - just don't have any pictures of my own to share. *sigh*
Heh, not that cold compared to other places ... last week it was averaging around 5 degrees Celsius at 7 in the morning and getting to tops of 11 or 12 degrees C during the day. That’s about as cold as it ever gets in Sydney (a bit colder in some of the outer suburbs like where my parents live, they were getting down to 0 degrees C in the mornings).
