RE: Spell durations (to avoid clogging the game thread further)...
A spell does not go into effect until after the casting has been completed. Thus, the spell would actually have begun at the end of Gil's turn (since she does not gain the benefits of the spell -while- she is casting it). After completing the spell, it should then last for the entirety of seven turns, expiring at the end of the seventh round in which the benefits have been received. If Round 1 is the round the spell is cast in, then the benefits should expire at the end of Round 8 (since she receives no benefit during her turn in Round 1). That's my 2 cents, at least.
For example, if a spellcaster provokes an attack of opportunity while casting mage armor, the attacker would check against his pre-mage armor AC as the spell has not been completed yet. Let us call the round in which haste is cast "Round 0." In Round 0, Gil spends a standard action to cast haste. Then, the benefits last for seven rounds. This would be rounds 1-7. At the -end- of round seven, the benefits would expire (as Gil has now experienced seven full rounds of benefits).
To use Aubrey's example of a summon monster spell, the spell takes a full round to cast and comes into effect at the beginning of the caster's next turn. Thus, if summon monster is cast in Round 0, the monster pops into existance at the beginning of the caster's turn in Round 1 and persists THROUGH Round 7, finally blinking out of existance at the beginning of Round 8. This way, the monster would only take 7 attacks (rounds 1-7) but would continue to threaten squares, provide flanking, etc. until the caster's turn in Round 8.
Thanks, Fatey, I hoped you would clarify.
Looking at AG'scomments on the other thread, I suspect I got my wires crossed. Anyway, Jalana is saved and all is well with the world.
Fates, LB is seriously considering attacking Galadaes, since he has (in LB’s opinion), ‘broken the rules’ by having his ally case hold person on Runzyl, and then again by attacking Jalana. Want help, or does Runzyl give LB a look warning him away or something?

Runzyl is pretty much in a blood frenzy at this point, having seen Jalana get cut down. He's not in any position to "warn someone off," though anyone in the vicinity has probably never seen Runzyl quite this pissed off before. :)
Sorry to jump in like this, but I've been following this pretty closely and I just wanted to say that it's been very enjoyable. Aubrey, the last bit was awesome! I'm not even in the party, and I'm pissed about Jalana! Well done to all!

Just something that occurred to me - did the ghosts leave any gear behind? The way I read it, they all dissolved upon destruction, leaving nothing. Was that correct?
Aubrey the Malformed(No peeking, please Rarely Accountant 2/Auditor 4/Waster 30)
Correct - their gear was as ethereal as they were.

Might be a bit quiet for a few days as I will be travelling.
Yeah, one of my colleagues here saw Shutter Island on the weekend and highly recommended it.
You do not want to see my not safe for work gaming pics. I don’t look as good in a chainmail bikini as I thought when I got the pictures taken …

Spoiler:
So... since the draconic prophesy and a lot of "destiny" elements are beginning to manifest themselves with regard to Runzyl, I've begun considering some deviations on my character plan for him. I still intend to finish out my Tempest levels, but when that's done, I'll be just about the right level for the Heir of Siberys prestige class. Now, Runzyl isn't part of any formal Houses... but how would you feel about coming up with some mechanics for him to manifest the Siberys Mark of Death? Maybe that's why Vol has taken such an interest in him? Perhaps he is actually a direct descendant of Galadaes? Otherwise, I can't really see any useful Siberys Marks for a full elf that would fit him. Let me know what you think!

More teats, more fun.
Er, um, anyway...

I have no problem with it but I would not consider it very necessary to the plot. To be honest we have a death dragonmark subplot going already with Rolund (even if he doesn't actually know it yet - you are in on the ground floor with this one) so two might seem a bit too much of a good thing. But it is your character so if you want to do it that's fine.

Ah, yeah, two of them would be a bit much. I'll stick with my original plan and have Runzyl become a Revenant Blade, channeling the spirits of his ancestors and whatnot. It might be amusing if Galadaes *was* one of his ancestors, though. :)
Moving it to the appropriate thread. So far, in terms of loot we have:
+1 shortbow [+1 Str] = 2,425 gp
magic paint = 250 gp x2
+1 hide = 1,150 gp x2
amulet of mighty fists +1 = 5,000 gp x2
2,000 gp of Seren memorabilia
+1 longsword = 2,315 gp
For a total of 19,540 gp of retail value or 9,770 gp of wholesale value. 30% of the wholesale value belongs to the captain, giving him a total of 2,931 gp. We are 69 gp short for the minimum 3,000 gp we owe him.
Rodergo Xativa(m ROD! YOU HAVE A 12 DEX NOW!!!human CLERIC 6 EXORCIST SLVR FLAME 4exp =95,470(cast as a 8th level cleric))
so give him one hide armor, and 1,850 g.p. worth of seren memoribilia for his new tiki bar.
Done!
6,770 divided by 7=967 g.p. each
we like? or somebody want the fists?
if so, 711 g.p. to everybody else; other than the guy who got the fists.
We already gave him the shortbow from the earlier encounter and I made a mistake in the calculations. The 2,000 gp Seren memorabilia probably counts as wholesale already. So there’s actually 17,540 gp of retail value or 8,770 gp of wholesale value plus the 2,000 gp Seren memorabilia. 30% of 8,770 gp gives the captain 2,631 gp.
The shortbow is worth 1,212.5 gp wholesale, so we need to give him 1,787.5 gp of Seren trinkets.
Rodergo Xativa(m ROD! YOU HAVE A 12 DEX NOW!!!human CLERIC 6 EXORCIST SLVR FLAME 4exp =95,470(cast as a 8th level cleric))
Cool.
I say we do that.
I guess we could up-for-grabs the rest, give Jan back his sword, and
split what's left(?) It doesn't seem like enough loot to take too much time to scrutinize.
Well, subtracting the captain’s take and Janosz’s sword offering coupled with the possibility that Lightbringer and Basher may decide to keep their amulets of mighty fists gives the rest of us 268 gp, 7 sp, and 5 cp per individual (excluding Lightbringer if he opts to keep his amulet).

I'm good with the proposed share for the captain and for the Amulet-owners to keep them both. Don't know if Basher would want to continue to accompany us, but if he does, it would be nice for his natural weapons to remain magical.
Same applies to Lightbringer other than I'm sure he's staying with us.
If necessary to help anyone palate the resulting payout, Gil will forgo her share. As someone stated, this wasn't about money.
Aubrey the Malformed(No peeking, please Rarely Accountant 2/Auditor 4/Waster 30)
This arrangement (the share-out above) seems reasonable. No need for anyone to go hairshirt, we'll work something out.
Aubrey the Malformed(No peeking, please Rarely Accountant 2/Auditor 4/Waster 30)
I guess we need a definitive share-out so we can allocate the items and work out the coinage share.
Also, in-game, as someone points out you need to work out what you are doing with Basher.
I’m thinking of just giving Basher the amulet for services rendered and letting him go his own way, unless LB wishes to turn him from the services of the Lord of Blades.

I'm fine with this if everyone else is. It seems to be the culmination of the discussion.
Lightbringer has thrown his amulet into the pot, divide up with the treasure.
He intends to spend a good amount of time on the way back finding out what Basher wants to do next and trying to turn him away from the Lord of Blades. He will offer to try to set him up with employment somewhere when they get back to Sharn, or else see if Basher wants to stay with them.
By the way, I'm away for work for most of today and tomorrow, may not get much chance to post until tomorrow night.
Well, if we add LB’s amulet into the pot, we’ll each get 944 gp, 6 sp, and 4 cp with 2 cp as remainder. In both cases I mentioned, Basher wasn’t included as a party member so he won’t be receiving any cash but he will keep his amulet.
