We ended up moving back to Arizona after two years in Norway - my wife couldn't really deal with Norwegian winters. Dealing with the healthcare system was hard for her too. We've bought a house here, and I'm hoping my part-time teaching gig at ASU can turn into a permanent job, so I think we're staying here for a while.

Two, actually - I can't stand the guy. But he's still better than Adele.
Lionel is alright i guess, but he just wasn't "my time" enough, and i guess wasn't good enough (in my opinion) to be timeless enough for me to like.
Adele has a good voice, but a lot of her songs actually aren't great, their only good part being her voice.
True, but she's still no Lionel Ritchie. And I HATED that big hit of hers, Someone Like You. Creepy female stalker song, belted out with the subtlety of a sledgehammer.
Well, that's sort of the point. Adele stated that after spending a whole album ripping the guy to shreds, she needed to take a song to acknowledge that she was kind of at fault too, and that she really wasn't over it yet. It's supposed to be a bit of a stalker song.
Nothing against Lionel. I just adore Adele. We're lucky to have performers like her out widening the boundaries of pop music these days. Though I will agree that she's overplayed. I'm just not as vulnerable to getting sick of a song as most people (because my musical taste buds were never that refined to begin with), so I've been able to continue enjoying songs that most people have heard a hundred times too many.
What am I doing here? This isn't my game! My game is about mice, or maybe worms. This isn't my game. Get out, KC. Go bug your own players about Adele! They can't fight back!

She's good! Not so little as you say, and has just started school (two weeks ago in fact, the start of the school year is end of Jan / start of Feb here). Enjoying it so far.
My memory is clearly not as good as yours, forgive me, I can't remember if you have kids? (Or if you've obtained some during my absence?)

There's this tv ad they've been playing here within the last year or so, this guy feels like a beer, he goes and opens his fridge, and inside is Lionel Ritchie singing 'Hello' (is it me you're looking for?) as he holds out a beer.
I don't know why, but I think it's the funniest thing, I crack up every time.

If you are familiar with the Sharn book there are some mentions of a truly ancient lich named Gath who lives in a mausoleum in a cliff overlooking some of the city. He is one of the few named high level beings in all of Eberron as far as I know though he is barely a sketch there and Aubrey has really created him as a personality (experienced through his lair) from the ground up. We have stomped through his entire complex smashing things and on finally meeting him told him to give us something that after explaining he considers blasphemous and us by extension. (He's an extreme religious zealot) So this should go well.

Aubrey I was looking back through things regarding the Dreaming Dark and can't remember where exactly is the Reidran egg tower being built close to Sharn? There was some talk of across the river and that since they started or built it some people have been having nightmares where they are presumably stalked by Quori. Is it really built so close to Sharn or did I misunderstand that?
No, it really is that close to Sharn, across the River Dagger on the west bank.

I’ve started catching up on the thread – haven’t gotten all that far, you guys have only just arrived back in Sharn after the Mournlands … however I couldn’t resist skipping ahead to the last few pages and the encounter with Gath the lich. I’ve got to say, really good work by the group, especially Gil, in diplomacising your way out of that one. Nice rolls and nice speech Gil! You say you thought the writing didn’t deliver, but it wasn’t bad at all. I can imagine that a fight with Gath, a devourer and what I assume to be a high level skeletal champion would have been pretty brutal, especially as the current group lineup doesn’t seem quite as focused at fighting undead as it once was.
I was pretty sure that if I was going to have anything useful to contribute, it was going to have to happen before the attacks commenced!

So, question for GG (or anyone else in the know), what's the deal with Gelb and Rolund? Is it still the plan for Rolund to come back in (assuming he survives his brain surgery), at which point Gelb will leave the group (and/or get what's coming to him)? Or does that all depend on either the group's actions and Aubrey's whim?
'Cos if Lightbringer comes back, it's going to be interesting to see if he will avoid 'carrying out the changeling's sentence' as soon as he finds out he's about (and has killed Croke as well as Erfan) ...

I am thinking about how to bring Lightbringer back (assuming that is ok with everyone); I haven't quite figured it out yet, but based on what Ezreal saw when he scryed LB after he left and something that Aubrey mentioned to me, I am having this vision of Lightbringer marching back to Sharn at the head of a small army (well, a couple of a dozen) of warforged whom he has converted to the worship of the Silver Flame (out from under the nose of the Lord of Blades). The group hear about a bunch of warforged repairing / upgrading the chapel of the Silver Flame in Rattlestone ...
Not sure if this works for everyone (Aubrey may not want LB to have a horde of groupies), or if the timeline makes sense (since you teleported a good part of the way back from the Mournlands). It may also lead to some further complications, especially with the Lord of Blades and Darkheart (though I assume that Aubrey is not done with Darkheart's part in this story anyway).
