Xane gets within her arm's reach and swings.

Att Roll:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

Dam Roll:1d8 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

And she 'Uffs' as her swing drives through pretty much nothing.

"Scitch Soot!"

Handle Animal:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Too which Soot happily continues to bark and jump around Xane and these new game players. :P

(Male Orc Oracle of Flame 3 /Fire Blood Sorcerer 1)

Gurukk appreciates the dog's name and promises to cremate him after he dies so he can live up to it

(Male Halfling Monk 4 (Maneuver Master archetype))

Thedrin's little legs pump with increasing rapidity as he closes the distance to the orc that shot him. When close he pushes off the ground and attempts a two footed flying kick...

Charge: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 for 1d8 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0 1 non-lethal damage...

(M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA)

Gurukk deals with one foe while Thedrin pulls short on his double drop-kick!

The orcs draw swords and attack!
@Xane
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

@Gurukk
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

@Thedrin
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

You are up!

(Male Orc Oracle of Flame 3 /Fire Blood Sorcerer 1)

Gurukk steps back and tries to burn as many as possible

Burning hands 4d4 ⇒ (4, 2, 1, 4) = 11
Reflex dc 14 (missed save means they are on fire for 1 point)

"Fire God is waiting for you all"

(Male Halfling Monk 4 (Maneuver Master archetype))

Annoyed at his ineffectual kick, Thedrin takes his frustrations out on the orc's trousers. He yanks them groundward before kicking out at the orc's ankles, seeking to topple him over...

Flurry (Entangle then trip): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16 and 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

(Male Halfling Paladin-2/ Rogue(investigator)-1/Inquistor-1)

Sir Respen drops his sling and draws his sword as he charges the closest orc, yelling "Foolish ones y'all should of stayed hidden!
as he drives his longsword into the greenskin menace.

Longsword charge:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
Damage:1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
AC:14 for 1 round
Current HP:27/34

(M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA)

Gurukk Respen and Thedrin make short work of the orcs.

Most of them are dead except one who is entangled in his own pants and currently prone!

Xane is up!

Okay, now that is weird. I know I posted Xane's second round of attacks. I updated how much damage she's taken. *Shrug*

Xane swings again at the Orc who's attracted her ire.

Att Roll:1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 9 + 2 = 13 (Bonus from Soot flanking)

Dam Roll:1d8 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

Animal Handling:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 (Not sure if I need to do it every round.)

Soot jumps and attacks the Orc Xane is swinging at.

Dam Roll:1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 (Plus 'Trip')

(M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA)

All the Orcs are defeated.

(Male Gnome Fighter 2 / Cleric 1)

"S!~& I didn't get in a single lick."
smiles at Xane......

Aye, was just copy/pasting pretty much what I'd posted and what got deleted. *Bows*

(Male Halfling Monk 4 (Maneuver Master archetype))

To Erky "They're still lying there, lick all you like?..." before shaking out the creases in his robes as the warming energy washes over him.

24/27 HP

Xane sighs, possibly disappointed by her seeming lackluster performance.

Animal Handling:Take ten =15 (To Calm down/Call off Soot)

"Who's a good doggy? You ARE! Yes you are!..." As she ruffles and compliments Soot on their first combat.

"So, any thing of not on these lot?" She asks dismissively of the dead Orcs.

(M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA)

You find 4 shortbows, 24 arrows, 4 funkthy (filthy/funky) cloaks, 4 sets of scalemale of fairly good quality.
22 gold coind, 75 silver, and 324 copper coins

Perception DC 14

Spoiler:
A strange object catches your eye hanging among the trophies of one of the deceased orcs.
Object

Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

"Ooos a good doggy? You are, yes you are. Good doggy!......"

:P

(Male Halfling Monk 4 (Maneuver Master archetype))

Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (3) + 12 = 15

Thedrin bends to cut one of the orc's ears off for Soot to chew on, and notices the strange object. Picking it up gingerly by the shiny tubey bits he holds it out to others "Any idea what this is about?"

(M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA)

Thedrin's What the Fuc...

(Male Orc Oracle of Flame 3 /Fire Blood Sorcerer 1)

Gurukk takes a look at the object and then nods,"Gurukk knows what this is, Gurukk has seen it before. Gurukk's tribe once beat a human who had one. It used after a good game of bones. The loser fills up both sides with our strongest grog and has to chug it after he loses. We call it kretchak which means shot, in this case it is a double shot. Important tip is to make sure to clean it out ahead of time. The first time Gurukk's tribe drank out of it there was some funky residue that the human had in it."

Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

"Ooos a good doggy? Yes! You's good doggy! yes you-are! Yes you ARE!" *continues to ruffle, rub, scuffle and other wise commend Soot on a job well done in attacking the Orcs.*

:P

(Male Gnome Fighter 2 / Cleric 1)

"Whats a guy gotta do tah get a good belly rub round here?"

By the way Xane would notice the guys oohing and ahhing over the item!

Nu-UH! Soot is far more interesting and clever-er than any old stoopid piece of junk. :P

Xane slolwy finishes playing with Soot, stands and brushes herself off/down.

"What was that Erky? Well, " She peers into the night, "Town seems to be over that way..." She points out.

"I'm sure they've got some nice stew..or maybe a haunch of lamb..?" Xane absently licks her lips at the thought of some diner.

(Male Orc Oracle of Flame 3 /Fire Blood Sorcerer 1)

Gurukk cast prestidigitation on the shot holder and fills it up with some good strong ale and holds it out for anyone, "Who wants to do a shot with Gurukk?"

Xane does lean over for an inquisitive sniff....but probably does not find the smell of charred whiskey to her liking. :P

Besides, I didn't think 'Prestidigitation could do something like that. Now a clerical spell, yeah, but not a Mage spell. :P

"Well, lets get on and let those folks in town know they've smelly Orcs wandering around here in the night."

(Male Orc Oracle of Flame 3 /Fire Blood Sorcerer 1)

Xane wrote:

The Fire God is with Gurukk, besides he is an orc, he isn't too picky and likely wouldn't know the difference

*Snerk!* XD

(M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA)

You’ve come to Blasingdell , a small mining town on the frontier, to see if there’s anything to these stories. Your information places the old dwarf-hold lies about three days’ march from the town. Dark deeply forested hills rise beyond the town’s outskirts.

A rough hewn timber fence surrounds the entire place looks like it is used to keep the “dogs” out of town. Here and there are pikes with helmets and what appear to be Orc heads affixed to them.
Perception DC 17

Spoiler:
the thick hair on one head seems a bit odd to you, as you look closer you realize the heads are fake!

Near an opening to the fence you find yourself coming upon 4 guards, 2 human and 2 half-orcs that seem to be in the process of changing out duties...

You are hailed by...
"Halt! Who goes there!"

(Male Orc Oracle of Flame 3 /Fire Blood Sorcerer 1)

"Gurukk Pyreborn, emissary of the Fire God."

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

"Gurukk was going to congratulate you on the killing of these hethen orcs in this area until Gurukk realized they are fakes. Why the deception?"

Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

"Ooos a good doggy...Oooo is..."

"Wait, what? Fakes?" Xane's attention is drawn from ruffling the fur of her hound to Gurukk's comment.

Handle Animal: Take Ten =15 "Sit, stay!" And she casually saunters closer for a better look at these 'fakes'.

"I mean, really, we can give you half a dozen if you're that hard up for things..." She adds absently, throwing a thumb over a shoulder to indicate the trail the party has just come along.

(M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA)

One of the human guards answers as a bell begins to toll
"You see it is the smell....oops hury inside when the bell stops you will be on the half-orc watch and they will not let you in....Hurry hurry."

As you pass by you notice several bows and other weapons as well as a signal horn hanging on a post nearby.

"Orcs been raiding town for 30 or 50 years, sometimes they raid an outlying farm, the half-orcs are the result, but they get a high honor being raised in town and becoming the night watch. Even their mothers are well respected in the community."

Xane calls Soot to heel and saunters into the town. She nods politely at/to those she passes by.

(Male Halfling Monk 4 (Maneuver Master archetype))

Thedrin smiles as he walks past "Where are the orkies based? - you want the problem dealt with once and for all?"

(Male Halfling Paladin-2/ Rogue(investigator)-1/Inquistor-1)

"You know today is your lucky day, your in the presences of Gurukk the holy emissary of the fire god, Xane whose mighty blade can not be matched by any mortal man, Thedrin the mighty giant tripper, and of course last but not least everybodies favorite Bastion of Justice Sir Respen Bayleef are at your service. We can handle any problems your town possess." The halfling takes a bow after he introducees the group.

Diplomacy:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27

(Male Halfling Monk 4 (Maneuver Master archetype))

Thedrin smiles in an attempt at being friendly.

(M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA)

"Tha orcs got the old dwarven stonghold, they wear scale armor and have dwarf made weapons. A strong bunch they be. We aren't sure where the dwarf hold lies, but that seems to be where they are at."

(Male Halfling Monk 4 (Maneuver Master archetype))

Brow furrowed slightly with thought, though dismissed as a thought best discussed in private Thedrin makes to continue on. To his friends and party "Find a tavern with some decent ale and rough company?"

Xane approaches of any of the available locals.

"Is there some where I can kennel my dog?" She asks.

(M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA)

"Most places err fine wit yer dog unner yer table lookin fer scraps, not heard o anyone bee givin grief o'er a dog."

Once you enter the local tavern....

”Fierce orc raiders have been apillaging small hamlets, farmsteads, an camps in tha hills north o town.”
”One orc left fer dead was put under tha magic o a hedge magean has told tha orcs ave a lair in a lonely hill called tha Stone Tooth, everyone as been ordered away from tha area. If yer interested yah should talk with tha marshall.”

A mysterious man approaches....
"You lookin to sell that double barrel pistol?"
Points at the item taken from the Orcs.

At the person's comment about the house rules regarding dogs Xane grins happily and takes a table at the inn with Soot beneath.

She calls for the attention of a serving lass and sees about dinner for herself and Soot. Absently she listens to the talk of where the Orcs are at and pays half a mind to the question the stranger asks about the guy's new 'toy'...

"So, what's on the menu? Steak? Mutton? Venison?" She asks, already thinking about the large meal to come.

(M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA)

"We have a meat surprise stew with most of those meats within and I figure bring the pot and two loaves of bread and butter an that might be a start."

Xane smiles, nods, agrees and thanks the lass. She peers over at the 'boards' (If any) to see what drinks are available.

Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

"And the mead, tankard, if you'd be s'kind?" She asks with a grin, one hand absently scratching at Soot's head where the dog relaxes beneath the bench.

Then, looking around, she stands...stretches and then 'shuks' out of her armor -leaving it in a pile beside her bench- before sitting back down and waiting for her meal and drinks.

She peers around at the other patrons, including the guy talking to the...guys...

Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

:D

(Male Orc Oracle of Flame 3 /Fire Blood Sorcerer 1)

KenderKin wrote:

Gurukk looks at the man and says, "Gurukk is not looking but that doesn't mean Gurukk wouldn't sell it. What are you willing to offer Gurukk for his prized possession?"

(M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA)

"Might I see it's condition before I make an offer?"

(Male Halfling Paladin-2/ Rogue(investigator)-1/Inquistor-1)

"Stew and booze down here as well! I mean it is only proper to take the food and drink of our gracious hosts....Soooo make that a pitcher over here!" Waiting for the drinks and food to arrive Sir Respen notices the mysterious man talking with Gurukk. "This is a very rare object and means a lot to my friend we will need a collateral from you to hold on to before you can touch the object. Just in case, you understand don't you sir or mamm."

Diplomacy:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15

(Male Halfling Monk 4 (Maneuver Master archetype))

Thedrin swaggers into the inn and sits next to Xane, slipping Soot the orc ear he collected earlier to chew on. To the barkeep he cries "Stew and hard liquor I think is the order of the day!" before remembering something he should have done earlier... he wrenches out the arrow still adorning his robe and flesh and puts it afore him on the table.

(M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA)

The woman sets a small coin purse on the table and then picks up the strange object, she seems to be checking the moving parts and the parts of the pistol.....

"Pretty good peice o hard-ware I'll give yah 400 gold fer it."

(Male Orc Oracle of Flame 3 /Fire Blood Sorcerer 1)

"Are you trying to cheat Gurukk, favored of the Fire God? Gurukk burner of the vampiric tree of doom?"

Intimidate 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20

(M somewhat akin to a kender Y / MA)

"600 gold then bringer of fire!"

Sense motive DC 16

Spoiler:

She is amused in the name she has given him

Perception:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

Sense Motive:1d20 + 0 ⇒ (9) + 0 = 9 (Untrained Skill)

Xane raises an eyebrow at the woman's comment, then stands and comes to loom up behind her.

"That's...a lot of shine for such a small piece of...junk..." Xane expresses her opinion...succinctly. :P

Xane looks down at the woman, "Um, do you have a name then?" She asks politely.

Soot continues to chew happily on the little thing Thedrin slipped down to them.

(Male Orc Oracle of Flame 3 /Fire Blood Sorcerer 1)

Gurukk looks to the others to see if they have any objections to the price or to selling the object, and if not he will agree to 600 gold.
