The long and short of it is, the towns heroes have gone missing investigating the sunless citadel and other things around town...

I will post the list of the missing heroes in game tomorrow....

Once the town became devoid of heroes, the local mayor found a rag-tag band of drifters, drunks, vagrants, misfits, and just plain disturbing individuals he could find/release from the stockade/etc That would be you guys and hopes you can rescue the heroes, solve the towns problems and collect a reward!

I think Thedrin being arrested for vagrancy or public begging would be a good starter. And I don't think Thedrin would have had the pleasure of anyone's acquaintance yet.

Berry is jsut a lost little girl looking for her mommy and daddy.

She was not involved in th ritual sacrifice of an entire family.

She did not plant several bloodied daggers on Gurukk's person.

She never heard of or ever seen an aggravated assault.

She has not been the cause of mysterious disappearances nor the source of many terrible hauntings.

She is not the devil.

And her lawyer is sticking to that story.

The missing heroes are a fighter (Talgen), a wizard (Sharwyn), a paladin (Sir Bradford), and a Ranger (Karakas)....

The paladin was not a local and is said to have had a magical sword named shatterspike.

Ok since we are in different time zones an all. I will try not to get ahead of anyone. I usually post daily, but go "light" on posts Friday, saturday, and most of sunday.

I will try to post reminders that allow you to interact with both NPC's such as the mayor, and the inn keeper, even though I will post one post for the mayor taking you to the inn.

Both NPC's are assumed available to you for interaction! The mayor as he escorts you to the inn and the innkeeper when you arrive.
Is that easy to understand?

The post might "seem" like the mayor dropped you off and left but it is not the case.

I'm always happy to go with the flow. Though I think there is a lot of Role Playing potential in every one's characters. So talking and interacting would seem to be the better/fun thing to do. =)

I like a a good mix, social/RP with combat mixed in. That may not be too helpful, but as long as things are moving along and everyone is having fun that's what counts!

Here is why I ask?

You have a half day (4 hour walk ahead) plenty of time to RP as long as I "hold off" on the "you have arrived post"

I will hold off on making that post so that you have time to role play your characters!

I prefer a mix honestly I'm not opposed to heavy any kind of game.

Also.

I recently put out two resumes for freelance work to LPjr Design and Gamer Ingenuity. Within hours of each I was offered work. Work that will keep me busy through the next year or so.

This means that for all intents and purposes my posting might be a bit spotty here and there as I'll have some rather painful deadlines I have to meet for pathfinder work.

Enjoying the story so far, its a great story for our unoptimized group. I like a nice blend between the two, as you can tell already Sir Respen Bayleef is a bit of a talker hehe. The pics are helping me out with some of the visuals and the pace is good so far.

I try to be "ahead" of you with text, pictures, etc.

If you find a better picture post it in ooc and I will get it into the game!

I will be out all day Friday (no way to aviod it!) that might turn into the designated role-play the walk to the citadel day!

I still hope to get that PC help with combat mapping! ;)

Just popping in to say I'm a bit confused at the moment of how to play Thedrin... he really stands out as a stick in the mud compared to the rest of the characters due to his current Vows, etc. Mostly on the peace aspect for me - just doesn't seem to gel with the party outlook on most things.

Hence he's been a bit silent recently. Not sure whether people have any suggestions to make him a bit more of a team player rather than the stand out like a sore thumber he is right now...

Vows seem to contain the idea of certainty, maybe he should be trying to convince the others of the enlightened nature of his path.....

Taking a stab at Marching Order just to have it down, feel free to change it if anyone wants to be somewhere else.

I was happy with Xane being at the top as a kind of safety, but as for a normal order of march? Yeah, I'm fine with it. (^_^)

I will be out of touch for a week as I will be going to a place with no internet connection. This is a drive I do not wnat to make, with people I don't like, to stay with them for a week in a place I dont want to go for a time I cannot financially afford. If you do not hear from me in a week check the news for a mass murder. That is all.

This is fine as I'm sure berry would be trying to rip through the fourth wall by this point to rip out Kenderkin's eyes. Or gnaw on his ankles. She's really not very big.

Hey all, I've chosen to pull Thedrin out primarily due to the fact that I can't actually figure out a way to fit him into the group. Whenever I log on to throw up a post I just can't figure out anything reasonable to say in Thedrin's voice.

It's my fault initially for loading up on the prohibitive Vows, but I'd rather drop out myself than upset the cool vibe you guys are running with for the rest of it.

Keep on rocking and I'll be casting an eye over occasionally from the sidelines.

Well I have been inspired by the first UC preview with the Maneuver Master. I figure a dirty trick throwing, tripping fouler mouthed monk would fit in a bit better than Thedrin the Killjoy.

I could rebuild along those lines with the current character, and just have a momentary lobotomy leading to a drastic personality change?

Maybe have Xane accidentally knock me headlong into some pipes and knock me out so as to do it IC.

Maybe you lapse into a coma after Berry tries to poison you since it is your fault she was injured....

This puts you into a waking dream and you contact the spirit masters...

There will be a bit of down-time likely back in the hidden room, for resting and recovering R&R.

In essence the changes would be:
Drop all current archetypes and Vows
Pick-up Maneuver Master archetype
Change Monk bonus feats to 'Improved Dirty Trick' and 'Improved Trip'

Still an 'unoptimized' build as it's a small monk focusing on maneuvers with a strength of 8. But most combat actions will be to apply modifiers to targets so the others can take them down hard.

Also does anyone else want to do any PC maintenance?

Gurukk has some, but wasn't going for healer more a blaster. Someone had an Oracle that was about healing though.

Sir Respen Bayleef is all good, having a lot of fun with him! Also was wondering if Triesta was still around? Since she was our primary healer hehe, guess I'll have to go faster in getting back into Imoedae's good graces so I can help with healing haha. Glad your staying Thedrin!

A new avatar will be chosen for the reborn monk. (though the profile will be the same)

Will adjust him later on today when I get some time.

Can't really say if I'm unhappy with Berry.

I made her as a nonserious comic relief character. In this she's doing just fine. Now if she can like survive, that would be a plus.
