Definantly, not to mention this gives me some interesting ideas, heh.

Oh wait, now MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *Evil DM Laugh*

Last minute change!

Is it ok if I take the mobile fighter archtype? It would replace bravery now and some other stuff later.

(Master of Procrastination and Grognardia)

Yeah that sounds good. Afterall I've allowed APG and I do like the archetypes, changing your character from a simple fighter to something a lot more colourful.

Cool, I'm looking for flavor instead of straight toe-to-toe. Although he'll do fine there too I reckon.

(Male Moon Elf Ranger 1)

Mal looks forward to not going down in every single combat now that Agathon is joining :-)

(Male Gnome Inquisitor 2)

yip yip, it will be good to have a solid fighter in the group though Solaria's companion is pretty good. Paired up with Agathon it will help keep some of us being rushed and generate opportunities for flankers.

I will miss the bombs but you can't have everything.

heh, the mad bomber. Couldn't hit the side of the barn if he stood 10' from it with the rolls he was getting.

(Master of Procrastination and Grognardia)

Not to mention his backstory had opened up endless possibilities that could keep you all entertained for several more levels.

(Halfling Summoner 2)

I'm gonna be away after Friday early morning (UK Time - GMT+1), returning Sunday evening, feel free to BOT Solaria during this time, so it doesn't slow the game.

Hei Whisper.
Sorry for sticking Agathon in there after your post. I started writing it after Solara's post, seemed the perfect spot, had to stad up for RL and forgot to refresh before I finished and submitted.

Not trying to blow you over or anything.
Nice rp btw.

(Female Tiefling Bard 3 (Alternatively, Dedicated Ordinary 4))

No worries! It was a good entrance and Whisper's been doing a lot so shifting the focus over to the new guy is a good. And actually having Agathon show up in the middle of their planning is a good idea--I think it will help work him in.

I just wanted to answer the outstanding comments made to her before the thread moved on too far.

Plus I'm sure people would like to fill him in perhaps? I'm sure he might want to join the group and make connections so that he can build up a army to take back his home.

(Female Tiefling Bard 3 (Alternatively, Dedicated Ordinary 4))

I think we need someone to make the formal suggestion--perhaps from Kyras--that he join the group.

Especially given what they want went through with Xanther Tiefling guy, they're not going to invite someone to join them willy nilly but they also know they could use a strong man with a good weapon. Whisper is NOT the person to be personable and invite people unfortunately.

Yep, bring him over, Solaria isn't outgoing enough to move towards him.

Whisper's gear updated, plus slight tweak to her background (just added in stuff she'd mentioned in character).

Hope noone dislikes me god-moding Kyras a little. Just figured it would take forever to rp out the whole thing so I went into monotage mode to get Agathon in.

(Female Tiefling Bard 3 (Alternatively, Dedicated Ordinary 4))

That's just fine. The "you look like a trustworthy adventurer!" scenes are always hard to work through.

I'm just amused to see "god-moding" in that context outside of livejournal freeform RP (although I'm sure it started in TT RPG PBP). (And LBJ took the IRT down to 4th Street USA...)

hmm.. Don't know those. I read somwhere that god-moding is when you take controll of other pc's actions. Like with Kyras I'm assuming you're all still around when he wakes up after passing out.

You'll still have control of him until he leaves the town. Then he's all mine. He'll definantly be boosting the economy from making potions and selling them. It'll help out the clerics for them not being the major healers in the town anymore and they too will recently buy potions too, saving spells for serious moments.

Are we in a dream where we can take actions or are just in auto-pilot mode at the moment?

Or is the dream over and we are now awake with just a memory of the Drow?

It's a dream-state and you all appear to be trapped. You can talk to her, ask questions or just scream incoheriently at her. I did have the second post lined up but I thought some of you might attempt to break free or speak with her like Whisper just did.

Am I still posting for Kyras?

(Master of Procrastination and Grognardia)

Sigz wrote:

Hmm...maybe when he indefinantly leaves the group. Actually he already has. Maybe after people have said their goodbyes and head onto the nest task at hand, then he'll be a NPC.

On another note, what did everyone think about that little personal nightmare phase?

(Male Gnome Inquisitor 2)

I liked it. It is nice and motivating for my character.

Definatly motivating, nice touch with the alteration of the nightmare spell.

(Female Tiefling Bard 3 (Alternatively, Dedicated Ordinary 4))

DM Aron:

I am sorry to post this here but I don't have another means of contacting you:

The attempted rape in Whisper's nightmare was extremely, EXTREMELY not appropriate without checking with me first.

Scenes like that are a bad psychological trigger for me (I am a victim of childhood sexual abuse)---and even if they were not triggery for me, bringing up subject matter like that is not appropriate without checking with the player first--sensitive matters like that should not be taken for granted.

I hereby immediately remove myself from this game. I apologize for any inconvenience that may cause, but I refuse to play with a GM who cannot even give a player such a basic courtesy. It is not worth the time I spend for what is supposed to be fun and escapism hoping that you won't cross the line even in a more direct/worse way next time. Goodbye.

I have flagged the post as inappropriate, for the record.

Thanks to the rest of you for being a pleasure to play with.

(Male Half Orc Cleric 2 Fighter 2)

I am saddened to hear that you will be leaving the game DeathQuaker. I really liked gaming with you and your character Whisper.

I understand your reasons for leaving the game and support your decision.

I wish you didn't need to leave and hope that we will share time and stories in another game.

There was no attempted rape as he didn't get anywhere, but that is your decision. This is going to cause disruption too...

I have put my MSN on the first page on the first post of the OOC if you needed to get in contact with me. Going to sleep now that I have just been delt this bombshell and will need to think on a few things.

(Master of Procrastination and Grognardia)

Okey, now let me make a few things clear. It's not my intension to harm anyone, hell I would have no one in this game if my intention was to purposely insult people and make them feel uncomfortable. I was only working off Whisper's father's demonic heritage and would have no idea that it would offend you in any capacity. You mention that I should've checked with you, but here are my questions:

1. How exactly do I go about asking someone if they've ever been a victim of such abuse? Surely it would make me seem like some sort of perv by asking this question to a stranger.

2. How would I be able to explain what I had planned without spoiling what was a major post that I had been working on for the better half of the past few weeks and had to add in Kyras's with limited info of his past and add the new one with Agathon in the group.

3. Again I apologise to anyone who I would've made feel uncomfortable. If anyone else feels this way, please, share your thoughts. I wouldn't consider myself a writer if I wasn't open to criticism not to mention I feel deeply hurt that my own creation could cause someone pain. When I write I feel bound to the words which I type so to learn that I insulted you and made you feel so uncomfortable that you felt as if you had to leave the group, then it hurts me deeply. Almost as if I had literilly punched you in the face.

Sorry if that last one was kind of emotional. These days I often wear my heart on my sleeve.

Please, if anyone else wishes to state something before I cross anymore lines, tell me now. I will also need to start up another recruitment thread unless any of you know someone who would be interested in joining the campiagn?

I just wanted to say that although I've not been here long, I've really enjoyed having DeathQuaker around and really liked her character Whisper. I can only hope that she can forgive DM Aron's mistake, and maybe its also a cultural difference between Europeans and North Americans, though I doubt she will ever get to read this.

Anyway DeathQuaker, thanks for some great RPGing in the game, hope we see you again in another game.

Agathon Myrdalon wrote:

It wasn't so much of a alteration as being a wizard he was able to make his own spell. Sort of Astral Projection if you will on the people who had to be unconcious at the same time for it to work.

Deevor wrote:

I would strongly refute this and this is why I have made this post. My take on all this is that its going to be a fairly dark themed game with a name like 'Ascension to Murder'- but horror, gore and violence are expected in most Pathfinder games.

The topic in question is as much taboo here as it would be over with you guys. I know Aron personally and believe he made a gross error of judgement and I genuinelly believe he didn't understand the impact his writing would have- he has a tendency to leap in head first without really considering context or implications of the written word.

But DeathQuaker is correct, sensitive topics like that should not be explored with strangers on a message board RP; and i'd hesitate to explore them even with close friends. Some things are simply taboo in DND as topics and i'm genuinely sad to see such a thing happen in a game I lurk in.

Some blame perhaps can be laid on my shoulders and I am sincerely sorry if this is the case- sometime around when the post was made (last night or the night before I think) I was encouraging Aron to make your enemies truly vile, evil and memorable and to emphasise their ruthlessness and tyranny- for example I was encouraging Aron to have something bad happen to Kyras for the group to discover when they got back to town in order for them to find evidence that they were being targeted by powerful, organised enemies- and perhaps find a few clues and leads as to their identities and motives.

If I had seen the post I would have said something to Aron about it before it did any harm but I missed the spoilers- I do not and would not encourage or condone scenes of a sensitive nature such as the one made in Whisper's spoiler, and I hope Aron will learn a lesson from this happening.

Oh, sad to see this happening :(

I have read and lurked along the game, seeing how the plot twist and changes - so far enjoyed it and still enjoying. Sad to see one of the original players to leave.

Seems like you will be in need of another player now to replace Whisper, but I would like discuss about this of course, until any decisions are made. I would be interested to see, if there is anything I could offer.

I can contact you Aron via MSN or email, but I want to hear first other people opinion since depending also on this.

edit: no problem seems to be. proper recruitment thread is up so heading there

(Master of Procrastination and Grognardia)

Okey, made the choice and should be posting soon. I'll say that Whisper brought her into the group as she wishes to deal with something personally.

(Female Aasimar Cleric 2)

Hello everyone! I'm sorry to see a player Leave, But i'll do my best to fill in and RP well!

Welcome aboard :)

Heads up!
I'll be AFK this weekend due to traveling, will be back on sunday.

(Male Gnome Inquisitor 2)

Welcome to the group.

Yeah that was unfortunate. I can see both sides so no need to say anything further about that.

Welcome Kyrina, glad to have you on here and hope you have fun, I'm sure you'll get on with Solaria when she's got used to you.

So far seems like she has a case of the Green-eyed monster.

(Male Gnome Inquisitor 2)

I'll consider Victor is in my square.

Can I have Hunter and Fox in squares beside me?

sure. Thought you would've replied OOC in the in-game thread so I could see the reply faster.

Edit: Lol, accidently dragged the dog out as a Object and it ended up being a huge dog.

Yea should be some fun RP, Going to play Kyrina as the highly optimistic type, who would never insult someone on purpose, she just doesn't think that way, so some actions she does, which she thinks are being friendly, can be insulting. Like the pat on the head, :-p

Ilook forward to making friends with everyone

*dot*

(Male Gnome Inquisitor 2)

I'll post my action after Mal and the Goblins post their actions.

(Male Gnome Inquisitor 2)

Should I post or wait till I see what goblins are left and doing?

Badger Woods wrote:

Sorry forgot the order. Hmm...Goblins might run let me look...

(Master of Procrastination and Grognardia)

Just a heads up, not posted in a while due to this horrible cold I have. I'll need to get back to you and my other group when my brain starts functioning properly.

Get well soon Aron, the cold that's going round now seems pretty bally aweful.
