Nyx Illisha |
"Oh sure, I just never had you pegged as someone interested in fashion", Nyx remarks, handing the glasses over. "I'm sure we could find the perfect pair just for your face!'
Alexia "Bishop" Hebert |
"When the fashion statement in question is definitively worth more gold than we have collectively ever stolen, borrowed or earned I imagine even a blind man would be interested in that particular attire." The tiefling rebuts. Giving the half elf a cool glance
How is this woman not dead? much less in control of her own apparently successful spy network?
Clad in a leather duster, moderately soiled cotton shirt and trousers underneath the red skinned humanoid could be mistaken for an exotic half elf. She shifts slightly on her feet and the collected trinkets on the inner pockets of her coat jingle slightly. She gives a calculating look to the men before her.
" A pleasure to meet you Mr. Land, with the state of this city I have no doubt that will be a skill oft utilized. As to you Drovic we have not formally met though I did hear a bit of you in a discussion with Anthony. I'm surprised, the story I heard seems to have been greatly exaggerated. Though if your comrades word holds you are a skilled spellcaster." She then looks to her own attire and with a grimace of annoyance blasts the grime on her clothes with a cantrip.
"To borrow a phrase from a rather annoying mage I once dealt with I cast the spells that make the people fall down. I am also capable of infiltration and other such goals, the operatives of the Ustrum do not typically operate in groups so I should be at least marginally capable in most fields."
Far as I understand we had Tony and Alexia had a discussion when the game started (previous thread) as to the events leading up to her being hired on. So she would at least have a general idea as to what happened in that period.Do let me know if I am in fact incorrect.
Drovic Rylin'dar |
"Oh sure, I just never had you pegged as someone interested in fashion", Nyx remarks, handing the glasses over. "I'm sure we could find the perfect pair just for your face!'
Drovic takes the glasses and places them in his haversack. He fails to respond to the joke.
"As to you Drovic we have not formally met though I did hear a bit of you in a discussion with Anthony. I'm surprised, the story I heard seems to have been greatly exaggerated. Though if your comrades word holds you are a skilled spellcaster."
"I was brought in because they were continuously getting their asses kicked. I am a professional. I do what I am instructed to do. You have no idea what kind of horrors lie beneath this disguise. I wouldn't judge too swiftly."
Alexia "Bishop" Hebert |
Alexia glances from Nyx to Drovic.
"Ah, let me clear this so it is not taken in the tint my erstwhile coworker has cast on our arrival. I was not implying incompetence I was saying that by your allies tales you were rather hideously maimed. That you are up and moving tells me they did not learn the whole story."
Drovic Rylin'dar |
Alexia glances from Nyx to Drovic.
"Ah, let me clear this so it is not taken in the tint my erstwhile coworker has cast on our arrival. I was not implying incompetence I was saying that by your allies tales you were rather hideously maimed. That you are up and moving tells me they did not learn the whole story."
"They failed to protect their most valuable asset. Hopefully, this group can perform adequately. We had an idiot who liked to lead the Mages to us every turn we took. He has gone into hiding."
He looks at both of the ladies. "So what do you two know of our assignment?"
Alexia "Bishop" Hebert |
" Yes ananonimity is an important aspect of this job." at least Im going to hope you are not so narcissistic as to believe yourself irreplaceable.
" As to the current job I am unaware. Just that I was to meet up with others."
if we had an explanation for the plan other than (go to X) I don't recall.
Drovic Rylin'dar |
I don't think the Mistress has debriefed you, but Drovic doesn't know that and he is digging to see if she told you something different. Yes...he is narcissistic (though he works well with others). As a player, I am not narcissism.
Arkhan Land |
Land grows slightly paler as he realizes that he has managed to make a grievous mistake in his very introduction.
He stammers out a faint apology, noting that his real title and name would be ”Security Provider Arkhan Land, before looking down at his poorly wrapped shoe, in clear shame of his failure to even introduce himself properly.
Alexia "Bishop" Hebert |
I'd been hoping for Brick to introduce himself but fair enough. I'm guessing he got busy. @Drovic: Yeah what I expected. I'll have Alexia grouse a bit here so you can have something to work with question wise. Ought to also provide a different target for conversation to flow rather than Arkhan's verbal flub.
So how mush time has passed since I first scanned Rosuc? going by actions he got scanned, then she went to Elsa's place, met with the mistress and went to the safe place.
Set up as it was I was trying to figure out if I burned 70 minutes of time with all that. Alexia would find it useful to ID what magic items her new co-workers are wearing.
The tiefling seems to ignore the humans correction pressing forward. Eyes passing the man as she attempts to move the conversation past the mans verbal mistake smoothly.
" Regardless, I assume by your question that your group does in fact have further tasks? I'm not surprised, the mission I was sent on was apparently one to identify something about my loyalty or perhaps to obtain something of the same from Nyx. Evidently we've passed whatever assessment the mistress had for us."
GM Ascension |
Perhaps an hour has passed at most.
I have no objection to you just perusing their character sheets.
Just to help move things along here.
A female figure appears walking towards the group from a nearby street. Given her height and size, and the visible gear, it must be the Mistress. Her hood is pulled low over her face.
"What did you find out Nyx?"
Nyx Illisha |
"Credit where credit is due, Alexia was far more active during the interrogation than I was Mistress, nevertheless, information was discovered during the process. Tasem was taken by the tower, although the catfolk Milah apparently escaped. Smet spent some quality time with an anti magic field, and it was left ambiguous if he was out or not. If he did escape, I'd be slightly cautious of approaching him, it wouldn't surprise me if he promised something to someone. Sorad and Saul were the others he mentioned, however their whereabouts are currently unknown. As for the mages, there is a guardsman named Ian, and a blond witch, connected with a merchant Bellafini. Apparently loved a chap called Trevor, which is a useful thing to have handy, if the relationship is still ongoing".
BTW GM, can I roll knowledge on Milah, Smet, Tasem, Sorad, Saul, Ian, the merchant Bellafini, and Trevor?
Drovic Rylin'dar |
Drovic stands and watches the conversation between Nyx and the Mistress. As he listens quietly, he pulls the glasses out of his bag and hands them to the Drow Boss.
"Apparently loved a chap called Trevor, which is a useful thing to have handy, if the relationship is still ongoing."
Drovic speaks up. "Who was in a relationship with the Trevor guy? The blonde witch?"
Drovic Rylin'dar |
"I killed the b%&@$ once...Tony actually killed her, but I knocked her unconscious. After we deal with our business in The Hold, I'd like to kill this guy to make her life miserable."
Alexia "Bishop" Hebert |
Fricken random site crash ate my post. so here is a hastily re written version (not nearly as well done!)
" Yes it was infact what we were thinking. Its dealt with. the pair think they are under my protections and will be going to meet with an important contact tommorrow. I asusme their masters will arrive to interrogate them shortly after that. If they fail they get interrogated and the information we gave them is given out, if they succede asking them what their masters asked will likely give some answers.
With that the tiefling reaches into a bag and retrieves a necklace
"This object is tied closely enough to one of them that it could be used as a tracking mark for divination. I was going to dispose of it but it could also serve to bait a trap if something springs to mind."
With that the tiefling looks specifically at the mistress
"I'm going to assume that Drovic is talking about something you have just not informed me of yet. He said In not With which tells me something different than just playing messenger with members of my association. Your group having business in the hold when your empire is in the middle of such upheaval brings up many situations where that could be badly misinterpreted. Might I request a clarification on that piece?"
GM Ascension |
"Of course Alexia."
"Recent events here in Coran have put the flow of pesh at a risk, so I am looking for an alternate route."
"I believe troubles here in Coran can be turned into a blessing instead. Drovic can make arrangements with a certain Captain Jomad in the Hold, but I am hoping, because of your more intimate familiarity there, that you would be willing to take the lead in making the arrangements to have shipments moved through the Hold and up to the capital here, and in so doing strengthen the ties between our two organizations."
"I had alluded to you earlier that I may be able to help you with something of a personal nature as well." The Mistress reaches into the fold of her clothing pulling out a pendant and handing it over. A silver necklace with a crescent moon dangling from it. "Do you know what this is? I make be mistaken with regards to it..."
You recognize it as the necklace taken from the mages lackey's, that the group had been unable to identify its purpose.
Professor Abu wore a necklace like this one. You believe it is some form of key into the Tower of the Heavens.
GM Ascension |
Ian was a former captain of the guard, but due to a pesh addiction was kicked out of the guard. Sour tempered, disowned by his family, you are unclear about how he somehow got placed into one of the mages elite task forces.
Serelina Bellafini belonged to one of the merchant houses. She was known to be a skilled negotiator and shrewd trader. She fell in love with Trevor Loris, a son of a rival merchant. Blinded by her love for the man, she refused to see the subtle manipulations in the markets because of Trevor's position as suitor to her. When she became pregnant, Trevor openly mocked and scorned her. Her house lost a great deal of wealth. Her father, furious, disowned her. She took up studies at the Tower where she proved quite adept at the arcane arts as a witch.
Her experience with Trevor though left her cold and calculating.
Until her recent run in with thieve's guild, she had been human. She is now elvish, suggesting she has been reincarnated.
Alexia "Bishop" Hebert |
"Its good to know our purposes still align." Alexia reponds, mollified but mostly stunned looking at the necklace with a steady gaze.
"That's a necklace very similar to what Dura-... To what the heads of the guild and important tower officials wear. It was forbidden to explain the workings to others but what I've managed to scrape together tells me it is a "Key" of a sort. The tower is a nesting doll of various dimensions and grand illusions making the place vastly larger than it appears. I believe there are various grades of keys that open various "levels" to the nesting doll that is the towers true geometry." The tiefling informs as she seems to begin thinking deeply.
[b]" This key seems to be of fair quality, I imagine they have already rendered whatever magic this one has unuseable if they know it to be lost. However with a working example I could likely reverse the enchantment and generate some temporary examples of the same that could fool whatever passive wards the tower might have."
Nyx Illisha |
"In regards to the witch, my information suggests that she is now an elf, as opposed to being a human as before. I suspect she has little in the way of feelings for Trevor, although I have heard that she was pregnant, what happened to the child, I don't yet know, but it still might be worth following up with Trevor, just in order to get a clearer picture of any (if there are any) close associates or other relevant information."
Alexia "Bishop" Hebert |
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 19 still having Arcane sight active what do I know about that thing having a little bit to examine it?
"It will likely take me a small while to decode the object. The mages are not likely to have shared these with just anyone. The time it would take to make fakes could be any degree of time depending on the complexity i need to recreate to properly fool the wards we are walking. I would also need to get close enough to the tower to view the wards as well."
To use another terminology I am a locksmith given a key to a grandly complex lock. It will be hard for me to create a second key for the lock using the example I have obtained without examining the lock.
"This coincides with my plans as I had been needing to enter the tower grounds to retrieve information from a contact. I can't be certain what I'd be looking for in the tower until I've learned what my contact has to tell. That will require me getting to the campus library, which conveniently enough is going to also be within likely range of divination spells to use on the tower wards. With that she gives the mistress a calculating look
"As to how much time I need in the tower, well beyond my own machinations I assume that you have things you would like accomplished in that place?"
GM Ascension |
"Any information you can extra from there will be of value, but my question was more for how big of a distraction you would need. You wouldn't want the mages lap dogs at home when you go looking about. I intend to give them something to howl and yammer at."
"Arkhan and Brick, I want you to keep an eye on the tower for another few days. Not exciting work I know... but consider it will provide some pay back to the mages."
Alexia "Bishop" Hebert |
Alexia nods in thought "I had just figured I could time my visit to when they were out hunting the butcher. First I need to meet my contact before I can even be sure of what I know. As an added bonus said contact is highly likely to know more than they should about guild security keys." the spellcaster replies as she looks in the direction of the mages tower.
" I was however thinking that were I to manage it finding the location of your guild members corpses and incinerating them would provide a boon. As it stands those are going to leak secrets until they are used up and be as effective as leashes for the mages to find you with."
" As to how big of a ruckus, getting them across town or out of town would be nice but likely unfeasible. Too many of them will likely have access to teleportation magic to make trapping them reasonable. A safe house able to hide us from their fury afterward would be nice There is no way to tell how long I could fool the passive wards so the challenge will likely be in escape. fortunately I have a solution for that. A final gift from a great ally, a scroll hunted and banned by the Tower. Anti-magic field."
With how badly this single spell screws all magic I'm guessing that the Tower restricts access to it to effectively only itself. Giving that kind of power to anyone is asking to get blitzed by some fanatics with it active and enough improv bombs to kill a council member.
GM Ascension |
@Alexia, I'd never specifically considered it, but that would very much make sense that that would be one of several spells that is very tightly controlled by the mages.
Essentially the same for each of you, though presumably you are each hanging out in different locations.
Early in the evening Mistress Diguri, the shadow of shadows, finds you. She is disguised from her normal drow form, and instead appears as a half-elven woman with deeply tanned skin. The disguise is flawless, and you only recognize her for who she is by the secret sign she offers.
After finding somewhere to talk in private she explains her purpose in seeking you out.
"We appear to have a small invasion force looking to move in on our turf - thinking we are weakened by Firyin's latest antics and failed coup. We will be dealing with Firyin soon, but this other matter is of more importance."
"I have known for some time now that the Usturn leadership is actually a powerful rakshasa. I fully believe he is on his way here and will attempt to take control of organized crime her in the city."
"Early in the month he sent an agent, one Alexia Bishop Hebert to find out what was going on in Coran with our gang war with Firyin. She is not aware of Rakinkal's true nature, but because of that I believe she can be used to fulfill our cause, and in return become a powerful ally. It is of course important that she not be apprised of who our target actually is until after Rakinkal is eliminated."
"Normally I would not place you against an individual such as Rakinkal, but in this instance I expect you will have some aid from an unlikely source, in the form of the Towers internal security forces."
"I'd like you to come meet our new ally tonight at The Open Mug."
You are free to ask questions, which we can run along side the main plot line posts within spoilers.
Mistress Diguri speaks again, keeping her voice low so that it won't carry more than 10-15 feet, "We've diverged somewhat from our current errand. The Tower will have to wait for now, but I figured you'd want some time to work out the hows and whens of that."
"The current issue is of course the rakshasa, and how to eliminate them from our beloved city." though shrouded by the darkness of night, and face mostly covered by her cloak, you can hear the smile upon the Mistresses lips.
"You may be able to play a particularly interesting role in this whole affair Nyx. As you do not have as tight a ties with my organization as others, you may be able to do what others would not be able to do without being at risk of having had their identities compromised. In revealing the rakshasa for what they are to the mages, you may be able to cast a favorable light upon yourself as a rakshasa hunter, or whatever else pleases you to improvise to get into their good graces. If you are willing to take that risk that is. You will need to judge the situation yourself if the opportunity is appropriate... but you didn't get this far along without the wisdom to make such judgements."
"There are two others I'd like you to meet that will assist with sealing this deal." Or 3 if Drovic decides to reroll.
"I will introduce you to them, then leave you to work out whatever plans you see fit." Diguri leads the way down the street to a tavern half a mile away.
She pulls the hood of her cloak lower, ensuring her face is nearly covered, and tugs on her gloves to be sure he dark skin does is not peeking out anywhere, then enters and immediately heads to a private room off to one side.
Inside are two or three individuals. "I'll let the give of you make acquaintance with each other."
"Let's get straight to business. Based on what info has been gathered, I fully expect the rakshasa to make an appearance at The Silver Spirits in a day or two to communicate with Rosuc. Given Rosuc's recent run in with the Towers lap dogs, the hope is that they will make an appearance at his behest. Our primary objective is to eliminate their leader, and ideally place Nyx as a potential ally for them that they may be willing trade information with her from time to time. While I don't really care if the mages live or die, it needs to be clear that they do not have 'additional' enemies in their presence in order for Nyx to be able to have a chance at this infiltration." Diguri gives Drovic a wicked grin. "Revenge will come later, when the mages usefulness runs out."
"Because of the rakshasa's shape changing nature, I'm going to leave these with you for now." she places the glasses of true seeing in the center of the table.
Everyone feel free to introduce themselves. I leave it up to you for preparations regarding taking down the rakshasa at The Silver Spirits. Who's sitting around inside, who's finding a place outside to watch, who is taking the glasses, etc.
Nyx Illisha |
Nyx's eyes unfocus slightly as she runs through the strategy in her mind, before shrugging slightly. "I could sell out the rakshasa leader without much difficulty, the mages would want them out of the city no doubt. With all that said however, there would be no guarantee that the mages would then give information to me in exchange, let alone usable information. Assume I'm a rakshasa hunter, wouldn't the logical response for the mages is perhaps give me some gold for my trouble and then pat me on the head and send me on my way?"
Alexia "Bishop" Hebert |
" Could we not just attempt to have the Rakshasa duke it out with the mage dogs? We could swoop in to deal with them both once they have exhausted their resources. I'd feel more secure in our chances if we focused on one goal. Mending fences with the guild dogs and overtaking a Rakshasa leader at the same time seems a bit hopeful."
With that she glances over to the new face. " Greetings, I am Alexia. who might you be? As to your question from what I recall of the species they are highly resistant to physical weapons and raw magic power. They are social power houses that will send wave after wave of cats paw and proxy rather than attacking themselves. I think the first question will be how do we even keep such a creature in one place long enough to kill it? With the experience they are sitting on I have no doubt they will have a good half dozen escape techniques available to them. So overwhelming damage on a single strike will be preferable, say sixty pounds of molten lead followed by a swift application of water. It would likely be enough to slow the creature at least." The tiefling answers obviously looking for further input.
"Perhaps we could give a basic overview of our abilities for the sake of planing this operation? I am an arcane spell caster of some skill."
Rex Trickshot |
"Rex," the tall man replies, and his hair and skin change color to something slightly different. "The other details aren't salient. Maybe you've heard of my kills. I'm new talent, an excellent shot with a crossbow, and that's all that matters."
"From what I understood, though, a rakshasa is one of those monsters that needs a holy blessing to take down, and that's not my expertise."
Alexia "Bishop" Hebert |
Alexia shrugs before reaching into a pocket of her coat. "Well there is this." The tiefling produces a small clay jar, opening it to show to Rex. The violet colored substance on the inside of it giving off a heavy scent. "Commonly used by devil hunters this substance can give weapons the potency to punch through an outsiders defenses. Though I am not certain if it would work as well against a Rakshasa as its intent is to slay the legions of hell and the hordes of the abyss."
Holy weapon balm Unsure if it would actually work but this could prove useful.
GM Ascension |
"Probably Nyx, you well know it takes time to build trust, but if we are to make the attempt, we must start somewhere. And any gold they deem worthy to award you is yours to keep in addition to the other benefits."
"That is also a possibility Alexia, the risk is the rakshasa escapes, and I expect the area to be crawling with guards in very short order - that is more likely going to be the main risk you take. The guards are likely to be ineffective in dealing with the creature itself, but would present a serious difficulty to you if they have any reason to suspect you are anything but helpful citizens, or hunters. In fact I rather expect Rex and Drovic to keep well back, and not be involved in whatever questions may be asked by the mages."
"This is a risky operation, but a very profitable one if it succeeds."
Alexia "Bishop" Hebert |
I want to try and get this rolling so I'll have alexia provide an overview of the Rakshasa's special powers and defenses.
"Assuming our foe is the 'common' Rakshasa, its a supernatural tiger headed monster capable of assuming any humanoid form at will. They are often potent spellcasters. They can read the minds of those around them and as Rex has already stated require a weapon aligned with a 'good' deitys power. One that is already a piercing weapon I believe. They are nigh immune to all but the most potent of spellcasters magic attacks. Conjurations and other effects that don't directly interact of them are much more likely to have success. They don't have any native resistances or immunities to the elements though. You can still poison them, light them on fire or crush them with a big enough rock."
The Mage states as she retrieves a piece of parchment and draws a quick sketch of the creature in question.
Untrained craft check. T10 if permitted. DC16. mediocre drawing.
"I will need to gather some spells more likely to affect these creatures. Those will not help your weapons though, any holy temple to a good deity is more than likely to have something that could help us in that though. the crusaders of Iomedae would be my first thought if there are any in the city. Along with the Towers own supply for the army."
"I question the viability of myself as an direct agent for this, I had my five minutes of imfamy in this city and it would only take some minor digging to rediscover that. That is of course assuming they have had no connections in the Hold. At which point it will not be hard for them to connect the dots. while I can lie, I question how much or little evidence your hounds will need before they would consider me their enemy."
K:Local: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18 Does alexia know any places in town that might have gear useful for fighting Evil outsiders? crusader temples or army/guild requisitions offices are the two I can think of.
Jidhuun |
Caressing the backs of her hands as she contemplates, "How do we plan on discovering what form the 'common' Rakasha is in. It is a tricky thing to catch on to a master of disguise, more so when they are so capable of switching their disguise at will. Aligned weapons aside, it may be wise to mark such a creature with stain or overwhelming scent. Aligned weapons mean nothing if you don't know who to hit."
Alexia "Bishop" Hebert |
Alexia gestures to the glasses still in the center of the table. "Those are Goggles of true seeing. a ludicrously costly magic item well worth the expense. We also know that they will be at the Silver Spirit bar tomorrow meeting Rosuc. Though marking them with a scent might work I am unsure if their body changing would consume such effects when they shifted forms. For short term I can use the spell glitterdust to make changing shapes pointless. If they can get out of our visual range I will have little that can find them again, it will be a long and tedious process to ferret out a Rakshasa in hiding. Better to measure twice and ensure our plan goes well."
A gem of true seeing in the form of a set of glasses.
Jidhuun |
Grabbing the glasses with her small hands and holding them up to see through and look around the room, "What if the rakasha wears a normal disguise? Made of non-magic?"
Alexia "Bishop" Hebert |
Then they will need to wear costumes large enough to hide the tiger head on top of their torso. Possible but it locks them into needing to wear hooded robes to be able to have a chance at it. Never mind how strange that cloak would look hiding a head much larger than normal humanoid.
Rex Trickshot |
"Right, then. We'll need a scroll or two of Align Weapon. I can probably take the thing out, but working as a team would be appreciated, especially in handling allies or bystanders. Anyone who can use a scroll and piercing weapon will be useful. Holy water's nice, but with only one day to prep before the takedown, might not be an option."
Jidhuun |
Crossing her eyes and making a face, "Soooo... do you two need any assistance? I'm pretty much set to go already."
Jidhuun |
"Oh, I'm Tess by the way. Great meetin you and stuff." she says lending a friendly smile to Alexia and Nyx as she places the glasses back down on the table.
"Are we really hoping to neuter this cat tomorrow? It can't be easy to plan for everything. Something is liable to go wrong, especially with so many variables as a place like the Silver spirits might have. I can make sure it doesn't travel by magic if I get a good shot though."
GM Ascension |
There are quite a few temples dedicated to various gods throughout the city. There is a high chance you could find a bane weapon (or arrows/bolts) - if you were willing to pay the price - or attempt a theft. Holy water could be purchased in abundance.
Mistress Diguri stands near the window, her back turned to the group, though by her posture she is clearly listening. At mention of placing a scent upon them she adds a comment, "They wouldn't be able to cover the scent by shape changing, except perhaps by turning into a troglodyte or something else equally hideous and defeating the purpose. Although a simple prestidigitation would remove it - a possibly costly effort in time if trying to escape with someone hot on their heels."
Looking through the glasses you see Rex as he really is.
Alexia "Bishop" Hebert |
Alexia nods to Rex before turning back to Tess.
"Well with a large number of temples in the city it would not be difficult to obtain holy water or possibly outsider bane arrows or weapons. Obviously ammunition will be easier to acquire both legally or not. . Hrmmm..."
Alexia glances over to the mistress before coughing.
" Now that I think on it I believe I might have a method to ensure my ability to stand up to the Mage dog's questioning. There is a spell I acquired, it allows me to modify my own memory with great flexibility. I could do so and have one of you contact me to sign on with a monster hunting group. IF you state you primarily deal in shapechangers I wouldn't even need to change much."
GM Ascension |
"It could be of great value if scrolls of this spell can be acquired for those among you able to read them or activate them. I will see if I can locate several."
A UMD of 20 + caster level would be needed for those not able to read such a scroll directly because of class.
Still need Drovic to put forth his new character, but I'd like to move the story forward if we can.
For reference, here is a layout of the ground floor of The Silver Spirits, and the abandoned house right behind it where Alexia spoke with Rosuc and Elsa. Also shown is the south gate and surrounding buildings. The top floor contains six narrow rooms looking out over the front of the tavern. You can use the map to figure out where you might want to position yourselves to watch over the place.
Jidhuun |
"Right, so you are going inside with altered memories and we're shapechanging hunters. So far I'm with you. After we have our scrolls of weapon aligning so everyone can hurt the blasted creature, what then? Who is on guard and civilian control and who is putting the target to their hopeful end?"
"What about lackeys or protection hired by the target? Should be asking all this or are we winging it? Nevermind, of course we're winging it. We have one day to step on a tricky bug. Forget I asked."
Jiduun will prepare for the fight by making a few alchemical purchases and changing her disguise to appear as a black haired, sun scorched halfling with a distinguishing scar across her face. She will of course reveal her identity to her team prior to the event.
I think I'd like to gather information about the regulars, expect traffic and identify all the entrances and exits inside and out of the place and ideally watch over more than one from strategic positioning on one of the building's corners.
Drovic Rylin'dar |
Still need Drovic to put forth his new character, but I'd like to move the story forward if we can.
I'm sorry. You guys go ahead. We can work my character in on the trip or upon arrival (if you are ok with that GM). I should be ready this week. I'm working with Bishop and Rex on my build.
Alexia "Bishop" Hebert |
"With as little time as I've been given to plan? Assume everything will go wrong and be thankful when steps don't go that way. Ensure our mission here has several methods of escape, as I've no doubt the guild dogs will bring fire enough if they are given half a chance."
the tiefling states as she seems to think a bit.
" I will need to go hunting to find them but I have a few spells in mind that would aid us in the questions you have asked. Though without more time I have no method to ward teleportation. If the Rakshasa has that power there will be little to do but hope they are wounded enough to hunt down."
With that the tiefling glances over to the mistress.
"Determining a better method of shielding our thoughts would be wise, we have no idea the number of Rakshasa we will face and only one of them would need success in breaking the willpower of a single one of us to ruin the ruse.
A sheet of lead would spoil their attentions if placed in the right spot. Perhaps those of us who would need to be in the bar at all could use that to our advantage?"
Alexia's shopping list for spells is Piece Disguise, Snowball, Stone call, Arcane lock, Erase. Oh and Misdirection as I don't have that one for some reason.
Drovic and the other old thieves can likely serve as a good source for the Silver Spirit It is a local bar after all. That or we can just ask Nyx, the walking Knowledge bank.
