As a player, I can see killing the criminal who attacked you as an appropriate neutral response to a situation. Mellany's IC remarks are not a player-to-player complaint about anyone's play. Her MO is trying to avoid fighting and mitigating the results when the hurt goes down. Speaking of which, anyone other than Gunser need healing? Healing Hex is only one shot per customer per day.
Well, Tauvren didn't roll his healing on me yet, but I could probably use some more.
Just to be clear, I don't actually care what way this goes as a player. It's just a game, one of the dozen or so I'm in at the moment. Jelani's anger is purely his own. He recognizes the need for allies though and will refrain from alienating himself for the moment.
I didn't know we'd be increasing the posting frequency, or I would have checked in sooner.
Anyhow, I intend to go see this Geezer Atkin and fleece him. If the gang pays him, he now pays us. Who knows, maybe we can turn him. All we need is some leverage.

It may not matter, but Gunser's 'build plan' reveals him to be a scion of some power of the sea, using the Tovenaar's accumulating Domain powers to mechanically produce such. I haven't seen the Mythic stuff.
I'm kind of glad that Taurven went off with Valerio. The rider's offer actually seemed reasonable to me. My character is not there though, so I don't have to argue about it.

So we're letting Rider go, with what?
His breastplate?
A longsword?
His glaive has been admired by one of our own.
How much money? (he was carrying 500)
And a hundred more to buy a horse
Don't be too generous, we've still the half-elf Thelion. Though I expect that to go badly.
Blast doesn't think armor is necessary for the man; a weapon is enough. As for the wand, I'd say it's legal to do so, but it's a totally blind shot, the target has full cover.

Just to check, is there any rule saying that wouldn't work? Grab a wand, stick it through a hole in the wall and trigger it?
Depends on the wand. Wand is not a machine, like you're used to.
If it's 'Color Spray', then it's an AOE, so yeah, they can stuff and trigger, even blind. If it's something like 'magic missile', they have to choose a target, so they'll need an eyehole. They'll need that anyway, or some other way of signalling for timing.
So, it's not a bad murder-hole, and should work with the rules.
And yes, more questions:
What's the whistle for? Is there an agreed signal code/effect/meaning?
I've healed more enemies than allies so far... Hopefully Lay on Hands fixes broken bones but I want to put a nail in the coffin of this section of the story.

Well, I do agree. But I also see the GM might intend Rider and Ponyboy have other scenes. There's a whole other thread running under spoilers, we'll just have to see.
But yes, would be happy to have the matter closed.
BTW, care to detect Evil the Ponyboy and the other guardbard? I'd hate to speak kindly, and find you other-mindly.
By the way, Aleksandyr- evil creatures with less than 5 HD don't ping on your evil radar. Thought you might find that interesting, and it's something a paladin would know.
Valerio is talking with an old fellow at the alley, Taurven is with bob in a different alley across the city and everyone else + the half elf and the guard are in a boarded-up tiefling couples' house.
We should return to the place, and then utilizing the hat of disguise send out our most stealthy/observant member to recon their bar/hideout thing for a couple days. Once they learn the comings and goings of one of the Gulls, we follow them back to their dwellings and take them out one by one. A direct assault against a superior force is foolish. We have to keep whittling them down in small groups.
Why does the Paladin inside of me want to kick down the front door...? Lol
Tactically, we need to find the back door or draw them out to fight on our terms. I can't say Aleksandyr would agree with burning their building down... But something along those lines.
We're in no position for a frontal assault on their hideout. Gnomey and friends came close to killing a couple of us. I think taking out a few of their hunting parties is in order. We should also work on winning the hearts and minds of the local populace, but that's just the good witch in me.

Meta question, a whole lot less meta for the people in the hidey-hole at the moment:
The half-elf.
Leave him, wake him, kill him?
Warn him Gnomey ordered him killed?
I think it goes without saying that we're taking all his stuff. He's a declared leader, he gave orders during the fight. But I don't want to miss the chance of him taking heat to Gnomey. :)
I'm just gonna say: History shows that fire and big cities are not a good combination. Although, if you are wanting straight streets and a planned community, it is a way to start afresh.
Egorian is an ancient city, so this may have already happened. Probably a couple of times.

Regarding Hearts and Minds, Gunser has a blessing he can give, for +1 for each of his levels to any one CHA-skill test of the blesseds choice within one hour. So +2 for now, but over time, we can totally carry things we can plan on.
