you may discuss any further details here and finalize your characters. the 10 of you are the chosen inmates. and yes, you will eventually get to recover your gear on the way out. though i still need to stat out boss opponents.

some elite bodyguards and a guard captain. preferably around 4-5th level, lightly armored to make pursuing fugitives easier, and equip to challenge but not quite kill an undergeared party of 10 1st level PCs. low level potions, scrolls or wands are fine, but permanent magic items are not meant to be carried by these guys.

go ahead. everyone pick thier missing gear to recover it. you needn't worry about rations or water at the moment, it's only a prison. the missing gear will be distributed amongst vaults as you go through the prison. consider it max starting gold worth of weapons armor and shields etc. any food, consumables. ammunition etc would be confiscated for military use.


I'll be creating my character account shortly. For the starting gold, is that based on class? So for a Paladin with the average of 175 gold on a 5d6 x 10, does this mean I'd start with 360 gold?

In place of finding all my starting gear amongst the prison, would I be able to hit my character's alchemy shop (which has almost certainly been looted in his absence, I should think) to grab some of his kit from his room there? I'm thinking especially his alchemy kit would be there, due to the nature of his arrest.

Naberius, you can find some of your stuff at your alchemy shop. just dedeuct the diference from the gear you recover at the prison.

As I said on that thread, I'm pretty sure witches combine offense and support with their magic along with their hexes and have some small combat potential. That's just from looking through the class for one of my RL players, though, so I'm no authority.

As for the role thing:

Healer? Not really no. I can heal but so could an Alchemist with Infusion, a Witch or a Bard. I'll be spending more and more time on the frontlines as I get stronger.

As for Witches, they are just about the nastiest controllers on the block. Slumber, Evil Eye, Misfortune, Cackle, they all kick ass. So do Agony and Ice Tomb once we get there.

EDIT: It's kinda challenging to find the appropriate gear for my character, as weapon wise I'm ok with a quartestaff, which is free, and the followers of Andoletta actually live a relatively sober life.

Just to make it clear, I didn't mean people have to pick up healing skills I just said they can.

I might a slight change to Alain's skills (replacing Know: Arcana with Know: Nature) and feat (Skill Focus moved to Know: Nature instead of Know: Religion) as I'll be grabbing Eldritch Heritage feats but I'm not quite sure which one and Knowledge - Nature gives me more options that thematically fit with my character.

Aleksandyr has the actual "Heal" skill in addition to picking up Lay on Hands at second level, and then access to "cure" spells when he becomes a spellcaster.


Pyrrius checking in. He's something of a second line combattant with a side order of blast. Still need to figure out the rest of his equipment though.

Where are you guys getting those languages? Is there a list of what equates to what somewhere?


It looks like Blast opted for Draconic being analogous to Latin in our world and Alian went with Celestial being like Hebrew. Both choices make sense from a thematic standpoint--Draconic being an ancient tongue and Celestial being tied to good aligned outsiders. I decided to follow their lead and used Google Translate to generate the text for Mellany's replies.

Mellany's exactly right. I enjoy putting RL languages into game for Golarion languages. In this case, Latin made the logical match for Draconic. Hebrew makes sense for Celestial. The racial languages would be a little harder to match, but not incredibly so.

I grabbed Italian for Sylvan, but that's just because of their former prime-minister who's first name is Silvio.

I was personally thinking of grabbing Russian for Infernal, just don't have a clue for Shadowtongue (mix of Infernal, Azlanti and Common). Just have to figure out which other languages use the Cyrillic alphabet.


i am still busy with RL work. the Co GMs will need to take over the majority for a while.


@Wolfman: You might want to send your co-GMs a quick note telling them where you were intending to take things (if you had such plans.) That way they won't be too concerned with taking the adventure too far off track.

Hey guys, I'm just dipping in to say what's up. I'm still here, though for now I'm not taking any more actions. Basically waiting on a ruling on my escape artist check and if the guards come around.

So, thought I'd put a small list of languages together here...

Abyssal = Icelandic
Celestial = Hebrew
Common = English
Draconic = Latin
Infernal = Russian
Sylvan = Italian

That's all we've used so far. I'm thinking that if/when I start using Elven, it'll be French or Spanish (partially because those seem fluid enough for the elves, partially because they're similar to Italian, which we're using for Sylvan, and that similarity makes sense).

If there are any mistakes here, let me know and I'll edit.

If I ever get to the point of using Shadowtongue I'll use Serbian. Uses the same alphabet as Russian but is quite different.

You know, for a game without a GM this is one of the more active and interesting games i've seen.


I think we need to figure out a Plan B. For as much RP as we've got going here, we shouldn't let these characters languish for lack of a GM. I think instead of writing this off if Wolfman doesn't come back in a couple days, it would be OK for one of the co-GMs to just declare he's taking over. At least until Wolfman's return. Wolfman said his intent was sandbox, so if we go in some unexpected direction with the substitute, that should be expected anyways.
