Aerin will withdraw from the current combat and head off to get the longsword that the governor's wife mentioned

dunno how many rounds that will take, but if at anypoint there is not one that can see her as she is running trough the house she will cast Mage armor and Shield using spell recall.


Cormick and Cindy:

The succubus used a vampiric touch on Logan.

As Aerin goes racing out of the room to head upstairs for the blade the governor's bodyguard attempts to grapple Tekel, but is unable to get a hold, "Run" he shouts to the governor.

The governor pushes hard on his wife's chair, moving with her towards the doorway in the hall as Tekel lashes out at him again.

Tekel moves to chase him as the body guard tries to trip the captain.

Aerin finds herself in a large study room, shelves of books lining the walls. A staircase leading to the second floor. The room is empty of people.

Round 5
Logan curses at the succubus touch on his arm, but makes another attack against the babau.
d20 + mops = 27, crit confirm 16 (not confirmed). Damage d6 + mods + 3d6 SA = 17

Amon, hoping to bring the assassin down launches another two arrows. Always assuming fortune roll on the first attack.

The babau collapses, then vanishes in a puff of smoke. Killed and returned to the plane it was summoned from.

The succubus steps away from Logan, wings spread to expose her body completely as she purrs to the closest guard, "Come feel my embrace." As the guard begins to go glassy eyed Cormick raises his voice a little, his countersong penetrating the haze.
Guards will save d20 + mods = 14. Countersong triggers preventing the suggestion.

The three guardsman rush her, flanking where possible. One strikes her, but the blade simply slides off her skin.

Cormick continues his ode on the dangers of the voice of a succubus, as the effects of her seductive voices once more fails to penetrate the hearts of the guardsmen.

He then races around the guardsmen, to ensure Logan as another opportunity for a flank against the succubus now. Once there he holds his attack until Logan steps into posistion.

Free action to continue the Countersong performance, Move action to move around the two guardsmen and ending his movement in Y27, Standard action to ready for a flank with Logan and then to attack ,while fighting defensivly, the Succubus.

As Aerin returns to find the governor standing near the door, his bodyguard lunges at Captain Tekel again, this time getting a firm hold on one of his arms in a grapple.

The governor withdraws, pulling his wife with him, who has produced a dagger in her hands.

As Logan steps into position Cormick stabs her from behind with his rapier. An oily darkness swims around where both Amon's and Cormick's attacks land. Just vampiric touch temp HP being drained off

"I'll get you one way or another." she says in a soft voice, turning a lurid gaze on Cormick as she attacks him with clawed fingers.

Continue to sing the Ode of the Vile Succubus, with newly created original verses, Cormick quickly goes through his options after hearing the glorified harpy's threat.

"Guards, assist Logan in hitting this whore," Cormick instructs the men.

Then gracefully steps back next to Logan and shows his rapier to him, "Use mine, Sir," and cast vanish on himself. Logan feels the Cold Iron Rapier enter his rapier's sheath.

5' Step to W24, Standard cast Vanish, Move sheath Cold Iron Rapier in Logan's sheath. I am going to rely on the 50% miss chance this round.

As Aerin slams Captain Tekel's head with the pommel of the dagger the body guard produces a rope and quickly wraps his wrists with it, tearing away skin as he pulls it tight.

As the succubus lands, snuffing out Captain Kuris life, Cormick stabs her once, the cold iron rapier easily piercing her arm.

Logan immediately whips the rapier out and stabs at the demon.

Amon's arrows find their mark, inflicting further wounds.

She dances around the elf to claw at the air where Cormick vanished, her claw only finding empty air.

Vapors of darkness and demonic blood both spill from the wound.

The guardsmen surround her yet again, one in a flanking position attacks her while the others attempt to distract her to assist Logan in getting an opening to attack.

Now that Tekel has been properly taken care off and that no other threat appears against the governor Aerin will head toward the other combat zone to lend a hand.

Logan holds out Cormick's rapier, "A fine blade, I thank you for it's use." he seems almost reluctant to return the weapon, but offers a smile as Cormick takes it from his grasp.

As his wound heals over the pained look on the governor's face passes. "Thank you."

"One moment, let me take care of a few things here first, then we will need to sit and talk." states the governor.

Governor Alding turns to his bodyguard, "Put him in irons Marsh, under the watch of sergeant Venae, and bring a dozen of the city watch back with you, and a priest of Iomedae. All the members of my personal guard are suspect, save these three only" he gestures towards the three that helped fight off the demons, "till we can question them in depth."

"Sals and Jens, go fetch Lyetia, but be quick and watch yourselves."

Cormick and Cindy:

There is an underlying tension in his voice at this last instruction. You remember the rumor from the previous day, that Lyetia and Tekel were close to one another, certainly the same thoughts are going through the governor's mind.

"Honored guests, I apologize, but I am going to have to request you remain here for the time being, while we sort things out. I'm sure each of you won't mind a wait as we send runners to fetch your personal attendants to take you back to your homes, being out after dark at the moment and alone may not be the safest." Several of the guests nod affirmation at this piece of wisdom.

"Now if you will join me somewhere a little more private" he leads the way back to the sitting room you were in the day before.

"I am indebted for your help in this... event." He adds somewhat lamely.

"Master Cormick, I fear you may be right, Tekel likely succumbed to the powers the demoness. We will need to determine how corrupted he has become to determine if he might be trusted again in the future."

"The city watch will of course perform a full investigation, but the loss of Captain Kuris will be a blow to them, and not many on the guard have the necessary weaponry to fight that creature."

"I wonder if I might contract your services to assist in getting to the bottom of this issue? Hunting down the demon to put an end to her?"

A Succubus can instantly be anywhere she wants and can dominate those that succumb to her charms. I am not sure we do have the means to achieve all that

??? The only three I see in the posts are referenced as the three surviving guardmen. I am sure we are all with Govenor Alding now.
